1 Ultimate Triumph of Unity

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَجَعَلَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ وَٱلنُّورَۖ ثُمَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمۡ یَعۡدِلُونَ ۝١

Bakhtiari Nejad

All praise belongs to God Who created the skies and the earth and made the darkness and the light, yet those who disbelieve set up equals to their Lord.

al-ḥamdu lillahi alladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa wajaʿala l-ẓulumāti wal-nūra thumma alladhīna kafarū birabbihim yaʿdilūn

هُوَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِینࣲ ثُمَّ قَضَىٰۤ أَجَلࣰاۖ وَأَجَلࣱ مُّسَمًّى عِندَهُۥۖ ثُمَّ أَنتُمۡ تَمۡتَرُونَ ۝٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

He is the One Who created you from clay, then He set a time, a finite period that is with Him, yet you still doubt.

huwa alladhī khalaqakum min ṭīnin thumma qaḍā ajalan wa-ajalun musamman ʿindahu thumma antum tamtarūn

وَهُوَ ٱللَّهُ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَفِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ یَعۡلَمُ سِرَّكُمۡ وَجَهۡرَكُمۡ وَیَعۡلَمُ مَا تَكۡسِبُونَ ۝٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

He is God in the skies and on the earth, He knows your secret and what you make public and He knows what you do.

wahuwa l-lahu fī l-samāwāti wafī l-arḍi yaʿlamu sirrakum wajahrakum wayaʿlamu mā taksibūn

وَمَا تَأۡتِیهِم مِّنۡ ءَایَةࣲ مِّنۡ ءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِینَ ۝٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

No sign of their Lord's signs came to them, unless they turned away from it.

wamā tatīhim min āyatin min āyāti rabbihim illā kānū ʿanhā muʿ'riḍīn

فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلۡحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ یَأۡتِیهِمۡ أَنۢبَـٰۤؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

They denied the truth when it came to them, so the news of what they were ridiculing will come to them.

faqad kadhabū bil-ḥaqi lammā jāahum fasawfa yatīhim anbāu mā kānū bihi yastahziūn

أَلَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن قَرۡنࣲ مَّكَّنَّـٰهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مَا لَمۡ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمۡ وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ عَلَیۡهِم مِّدۡرَارࣰا وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرَ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهِمۡ فَأَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمۡ وَأَنشَأۡنَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ قَرۡنًا ءَاخَرِینَ ۝٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

Did they not see how many generations before them We destroyed which We had made them powerful on the earth such that We did not make you that powerful? And We sent plenty of rain on them from the sky and We made rivers flow underneath them, then We destroyed them for their sins, and We created another generation after them.

alam yaraw kam ahlaknā min qablihim min qarnin makkannāhum fī l-arḍi mā lam numakkin lakum wa-arsalnā l-samāa ʿalayhim mid'rāran wajaʿalnā l-anhāra tajrī min taḥtihim fa-ahlaknāhum bidhunūbihim wa-anshanā min baʿdihim qarnan ākharīn

وَلَوۡ نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَیۡكَ كِتَـٰبࣰا فِی قِرۡطَاسࣲ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَیۡدِیهِمۡ لَقَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا سِحۡرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And if We had sent down a book to you on paper so that they had touched it with their hands, then those who disbelieve would have certainly said: “This is only an obvious magic.”

walaw nazzalnā ʿalayka kitāban fī qir'ṭāsin falamasūhu bi-aydīhim laqāla alladhīna kafarū in hādhā illā siḥ'run mubīnu

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوۡلَاۤ أُنزِلَ عَلَیۡهِ مَلَكࣱۖ وَلَوۡ أَنزَلۡنَا مَلَكࣰا لَّقُضِیَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ ثُمَّ لَا یُنظَرُونَ ۝٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they say: “Why has not an angel been sent down to him?” And if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been over and they would have not been given any delays.

waqālū lawlā unzila ʿalayhi malakun walaw anzalnā malakan laquḍiya l-amru thumma lā yunẓarūn

وَلَوۡ جَعَلۡنَـٰهُ مَلَكࣰا لَّجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ رَجُلࣰا وَلَلَبَسۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم مَّا یَلۡبِسُونَ ۝٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

If We had made him (the messenger) an angel, We would have certainly made him as a man, and We would have confused for them what is already confusing.

walaw jaʿalnāhu malakan lajaʿalnāhu rajulan walalabasnā ʿalayhim mā yalbisūn

وَلَقَدِ ٱسۡتُهۡزِئَ بِرُسُلࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِٱلَّذِینَ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝١٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And certainly, messengers before you were ridiculed, then what they were ridiculing surrounded those of them who ridiculed.

walaqadi us'tuh'zi-a birusulin min qablika faḥāqa bi-alladhīna sakhirū min'hum mā kānū bihi yastahziūn

2 Greatness of Divine Mercy

قُلۡ سِیرُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرُوا۟ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝١١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Travel throughout the earth and see what the end of the deniers was.”

qul sīrū fī l-arḍi thumma unẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l-mukadhibīn

قُل لِّمَن مَّا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ قُل لِّلَّهِۚ كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةَۚ لَیَجۡمَعَنَّكُمۡ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ لَا رَیۡبَ فِیهِۚ ٱلَّذِینَ خَسِرُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝١٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “To whom belongs whatever is in the skies and on the earth?” Say: “To God.” He has prescribed mercy for Himself. He shall gather you on the Resurrection Day, that there is no doubt about it. Those who lost themselves do not believe.

qul liman mā fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi qul lillahi kataba ʿalā nafsihi l-raḥmata layajmaʿannakum ilā yawmi l-qiyāmati lā rayba fīhi alladhīna khasirū anfusahum fahum lā yu'minūn

۞ وَلَهُۥ مَا سَكَنَ فِی ٱلَّیۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝١٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And whatever inhabits the night and the day belongs to Him, and He hears all and knows all.

walahu mā sakana fī al-layli wal-nahāri wahuwa l-samīʿu l-ʿalīm

قُلۡ أَغَیۡرَ ٱللَّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِیࣰّا فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَهُوَ یُطۡعِمُ وَلَا یُطۡعَمُۗ قُلۡ إِنِّیۤ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنۡ أَسۡلَمَۖ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ ۝١٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Should I take a protector other than God, creator of the skies and the earth, He feeds and He is not fed?” Say: “Indeed I am ordered to be the first of (or the best of) the ones who submitted and not to be of the idolaters.”

qul aghayra l-lahi attakhidhu waliyyan fāṭiri l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wahuwa yuṭ'ʿimu walā yuṭ'ʿamu qul innī umir'tu an akūna awwala man aslama walā takūnanna mina l-mush'rikīn

قُلۡ إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ إِنۡ عَصَیۡتُ رَبِّی عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ ۝١٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Indeed I am afraid of the punishment of a great day if I disobey my Lord.”

qul innī akhāfu in ʿaṣaytu rabbī ʿadhāba yawmin ʿaẓīmi

مَّن یُصۡرَفۡ عَنۡهُ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ فَقَدۡ رَحِمَهُۥۚ وَذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ ۝١٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

Whomever (punishment) is kept away from him on that day, indeed He has had mercy on him, and that is the clear victory.

man yuṣ'raf ʿanhu yawma-idhin faqad raḥimahu wadhālika l-fawzu l-mubīn

وَإِن یَمۡسَسۡكَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرࣲّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥۤ إِلَّا هُوَۖ وَإِن یَمۡسَسۡكَ بِخَیۡرࣲ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرࣱ ۝١٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And if God touches you with a harm, then no one can eliminate it except Him, and if He touches you with good (no one can hold it back), He is capable of everything.

wa-in yamsaska l-lahu biḍurrin falā kāshifa lahu illā huwa wa-in yamsaska bikhayrin fahuwa ʿalā kulli shayin qadīru

وَهُوَ ٱلۡقَاهِرُ فَوۡقَ عِبَادِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ٱلۡخَبِیرُ ۝١٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

He is the dominant one over His servants, and He is wise and well aware.

wahuwa l-qāhiru fawqa ʿibādihi wahuwa l-ḥakīmu l-khabīr

قُلۡ أَیُّ شَیۡءٍ أَكۡبَرُ شَهَـٰدَةࣰۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُۖ شَهِیدُۢ بَیۡنِی وَبَیۡنَكُمۡۚ وَأُوحِیَ إِلَیَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ لِأُنذِرَكُم بِهِۦ وَمَنۢ بَلَغَۚ أَىِٕنَّكُمۡ لَتَشۡهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً أُخۡرَىٰۚ قُل لَّاۤ أَشۡهَدُۚ قُلۡ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَـٰهࣱ وَ ٰحِدࣱ وَإِنَّنِی بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ ۝١٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “What thing is the greatest in testimony?” Say: “God, (He is) a witness between me and you, and this Quran was revealed to me so that with it I warn you and anyone it reaches. Do you testify that there are other gods with God?” Say: “I do not testify (to that).” Say: “Only He is the One god, and I am free of what you associate (with Him).”

qul ayyu shayin akbaru shahādatan quli l-lahu shahīdun baynī wabaynakum waūḥiya ilayya hādhā l-qur'ānu li-undhirakum bihi waman balagha a-innakum latashhadūna anna maʿa l-lahi ālihatan ukh'rā qul lā ashhadu qul innamā huwa ilāhun wāḥidun wa-innanī barīon mimmā tush'rikūn

ٱلَّذِینَ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ یَعۡرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا یَعۡرِفُونَ أَبۡنَاۤءَهُمُۘ ٱلَّذِینَ خَسِرُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٢٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Those whom We gave them the book know him (Muhammad) as they know their children. Those who have lost themselves, they would not believe.

alladhīna ātaynāhumu l-kitāba yaʿrifūnahu kamā yaʿrifūna abnāahumu alladhīna khasirū anfusahum fahum lā yu'minūn

3 Polytheists' witness against self

وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوۡ كَذَّبَ بِءَایَـٰتِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا یُفۡلِحُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ۝٢١

Bakhtiari Nejad

And who is more wrong than someone who makes up a lie (and attributes it) to God or denies His signs. Indeed, the wrongdoers do not succeed.

waman aẓlamu mimmani if'tarā ʿalā l-lahi kadhiban aw kadhaba biāyātihi innahu lā yuf'liḥu l-ẓālimūn

وَیَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُهُمۡ جَمِیعࣰا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِینَ أَشۡرَكُوۤا۟ أَیۡنَ شُرَكَاۤؤُكُمُ ٱلَّذِینَ كُنتُمۡ تَزۡعُمُونَ ۝٢٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

On the day when We gather them all together, then We tell those who associated (partners with Us): “Where are your partners, those you used to claim?”

wayawma naḥshuruhum jamīʿan thumma naqūlu lilladhīna ashrakū ayna shurakāukumu alladhīna kuntum tazʿumūn

ثُمَّ لَمۡ تَكُن فِتۡنَتُهُمۡ إِلَّاۤ أَن قَالُوا۟ وَٱللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشۡرِكِینَ ۝٢٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

Then their only temptation is to say: “By God our Lord, we were not idolators.”

thumma lam takun fit'natuhum illā an qālū wal-lahi rabbinā mā kunnā mush'rikīn

ٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡۚ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡتَرُونَ ۝٢٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

See how they lied to themselves, and what they used to fabricate has abandoned them.

unẓur kayfa kadhabū ʿalā anfusihim waḍalla ʿanhum mā kānū yaftarūn

وَمِنۡهُم مَّن یَسۡتَمِعُ إِلَیۡكَۖ وَجَعَلۡنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمۡ أَكِنَّةً أَن یَفۡقَهُوهُ وَفِیۤ ءَاذَانِهِمۡ وَقۡرࣰاۚ وَإِن یَرَوۡا۟ كُلَّ ءَایَةࣲ لَّا یُؤۡمِنُوا۟ بِهَاۖ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءُوكَ یُجَـٰدِلُونَكَ یَقُولُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّاۤ أَسَـٰطِیرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٢٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And some of them (pretend to) listen to you, but We placed a cover on their hearts so they do not understand it and made their ears hard of hearing, and if they see every sign they do not believe in it, so much so that when they come to you and they argue with you. Those who disbelieve say: “This (Quran) is nothing but stories of the earlier ones.”

wamin'hum man yastamiʿu ilayka wajaʿalnā ʿalā qulūbihim akinnatan an yafqahūhu wafī ādhānihim waqran wa-in yaraw kulla āyatin lā yu'minū bihā ḥattā idhā jāūka yujādilūnaka yaqūlu alladhīna kafarū in hādhā illā asāṭīru l-awalīn

وَهُمۡ یَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنۡهُ وَیَنۡءَوۡنَ عَنۡهُۖ وَإِن یُهۡلِكُونَ إِلَّاۤ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا یَشۡعُرُونَ ۝٢٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they prohibit (others) from it and they keep away from it, and they only destroy themselves and they do not realize it.

wahum yanhawna ʿanhu wayanawna ʿanhu wa-in yuh'likūna illā anfusahum wamā yashʿurūn

وَلَوۡ تَرَىٰۤ إِذۡ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ فَقَالُوا۟ یَـٰلَیۡتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٢٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And if you (could) see when they are made to stop by the fire, and they say: “We wish we would be sent back and we would not deny our Lord's signs and we would become of the believers.”

walaw tarā idh wuqifū ʿalā l-nāri faqālū yālaytanā nuraddu walā nukadhiba biāyāti rabbinā wanakūna mina l-mu'minīn

بَلۡ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُخۡفُونَ مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَلَوۡ رُدُّوا۟ لَعَادُوا۟ لِمَا نُهُوا۟ عَنۡهُ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ ۝٢٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

No, but what they used to hide in the past has become apparent to them. And if they are sent back, they would go back to what they were forbidden from it, and indeed they are liars.

bal badā lahum mā kānū yukh'fūna min qablu walaw ruddū laʿādū limā nuhū ʿanhu wa-innahum lakādhibūn

وَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنۡ هِیَ إِلَّا حَیَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَبۡعُوثِینَ ۝٢٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they said: “There is nothing but our worldly life and we will not be raised up.”

waqālū in hiya illā ḥayātunā l-dun'yā wamā naḥnu bimabʿūthīn

وَلَوۡ تَرَىٰۤ إِذۡ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡۚ قَالَ أَلَیۡسَ هَـٰذَا بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَاۚ قَالَ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ ۝٣٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And if you see when they are made to stop before their Lord, He will say: “Is not this the truth?” They say: “Yes, by our Lord.” He says: “So taste the punishment because of what you used to disbelieve.”

walaw tarā idh wuqifū ʿalā rabbihim qāla alaysa hādhā bil-ḥaqi qālū balā warabbinā qāla fadhūqū l-ʿadhāba bimā kuntum takfurūn

4 Rejection of Truth

قَدۡ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَاۤءِ ٱللَّهِۖ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءَتۡهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغۡتَةࣰ قَالُوا۟ یَـٰحَسۡرَتَنَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطۡنَا فِیهَا وَهُمۡ یَحۡمِلُونَ أَوۡزَارَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِمۡۚ أَلَا سَاۤءَ مَا یَزِرُونَ ۝٣١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Those who deny the meeting of God have lost. When the Hour suddenly comes to them, and they say: “Our regret about what we neglected it” and they carry their burdens on their backs. Surely, what they carry is bad.

qad khasira alladhīna kadhabū biliqāi l-lahi ḥattā idhā jāathumu l-sāʿatu baghtatan qālū yāḥasratanā ʿalā mā farraṭnā fīhā wahum yaḥmilūna awzārahum ʿalā ẓuhūrihim alā sāa mā yazirūn

وَمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۤ إِلَّا لَعِبࣱ وَلَهۡوࣱۖ وَلَلدَّارُ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةُ خَیۡرࣱ لِّلَّذِینَ یَتَّقُونَۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٣٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

This world’s life is only a play and an amusement, and certainly the home of the Hereafter is better for those who are cautious (of God). Do you not understand?

wamā l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā illā laʿibun walahwun walalddāru l-ākhiratu khayrun lilladhīna yattaqūna afalā taʿqilūn

قَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ إِنَّهُۥ لَیَحۡزُنُكَ ٱلَّذِی یَقُولُونَۖ فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَا یُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ بِءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ یَجۡحَدُونَ ۝٣٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

We know that what they say certainly makes you sad and indeed they do not deny you, but the wrongdoers reject God’s signs.

qad naʿlamu innahu layaḥzunuka alladhī yaqūlūna fa-innahum lā yukadhibūnaka walākinna l-ẓālimīna biāyāti l-lahi yajḥadūn

وَلَقَدۡ كُذِّبَتۡ رُسُلࣱ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَصَبَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا كُذِّبُوا۟ وَأُوذُوا۟ حَتَّىٰۤ أَتَىٰهُمۡ نَصۡرُنَاۚ وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَلَقَدۡ جَاۤءَكَ مِن نَّبَإِی۟ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝٣٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Messengers before you were certainly denied, but they persevered about what they were denied, and they were harassed until We gave them Our help. And no one can change God’s words. And certainly, the news of the messengers has come to you.

walaqad kudhibat rusulun min qablika faṣabarū ʿalā mā kudhibū waūdhū ḥattā atāhum naṣrunā walā mubaddila likalimāti l-lahi walaqad jāaka min naba-i l-mur'salīn

وَإِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَیۡكَ إِعۡرَاضُهُمۡ فَإِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتَ أَن تَبۡتَغِیَ نَفَقࣰا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَوۡ سُلَّمࣰا فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَتَأۡتِیَهُم بِءَایَةࣲۚ وَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمۡ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰۚ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡجَـٰهِلِینَ ۝٣٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And if their shunning is difficult for you, then make a tunnel in the earth or a ladder to the sky if you can, so that you bring them a miracle. If God wanted, He would have brought them all together to the guidance, so do not be of the ignorant ones.

wa-in kāna kabura ʿalayka iʿ'rāḍuhum fa-ini is'taṭaʿta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fī l-arḍi aw sullaman fī l-samāi fatatiyahum biāyatin walaw shāa l-lahu lajamaʿahum ʿalā l-hudā falā takūnanna mina l-jāhilīn

۞ إِنَّمَا یَسۡتَجِیبُ ٱلَّذِینَ یَسۡمَعُونَۘ وَٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ یَبۡعَثُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَیۡهِ یُرۡجَعُونَ ۝٣٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

Only those who listen will respond (and accept your invitation). And the dead, God raises them up then they are returned to Him.

innamā yastajību alladhīna yasmaʿūna wal-mawtā yabʿathuhumu l-lahu thumma ilayhi yur'jaʿūn

وَقَالُوا۟ لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَیۡهِ ءَایَةࣱ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۚ قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰۤ أَن یُنَزِّلَ ءَایَةࣰ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٣٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they said: “Why a miracle of his Lord was not sent down to him?” Say: “Indeed God is able to send down a miracle” but most of them do not know.

waqālū lawlā nuzzila ʿalayhi āyatun min rabbihi qul inna l-laha qādirun ʿalā an yunazzila āyatan walākinna aktharahum lā yaʿlamūn

وَمَا مِن دَاۤبَّةࣲ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا طَـٰۤىِٕرࣲ یَطِیرُ بِجَنَاحَیۡهِ إِلَّاۤ أُمَمٌ أَمۡثَالُكُمۚ مَّا فَرَّطۡنَا فِی ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ مِن شَیۡءࣲۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ یُحۡشَرُونَ ۝٣٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

There is no creature on the earth or no bird flying with its two wings unless they are communities like you. We did not leave anything out of the book (Quran). And they will be gathered to their Lord.

wamā min dābbatin fī l-arḍi walā ṭāirin yaṭīru bijanāḥayhi illā umamun amthālukum mā farraṭnā fī l-kitābi min shayin thumma ilā rabbihim yuḥ'sharūn

وَٱلَّذِینَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا صُمࣱّ وَبُكۡمࣱ فِی ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِۗ مَن یَشَإِ ٱللَّهُ یُضۡلِلۡهُ وَمَن یَشَأۡ یَجۡعَلۡهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ ۝٣٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

And those who deny Our signs are deaf and dumb in the darkness. God misguides anyone He wants, and He places anyone He wants on a straight path (according to His law).

wa-alladhīna kadhabū biāyātinā ṣummun wabuk'mun fī l-ẓulumāti man yasha-i l-lahu yuḍ'lil'hu waman yasha yajʿalhu ʿalā ṣirāṭin mus'taqīmi

قُلۡ أَرَءَیۡتَكُمۡ إِنۡ أَتَىٰكُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡ أَتَتۡكُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ أَغَیۡرَ ٱللَّهِ تَدۡعُونَ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٤٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “What do you think if God’s punishment comes to you or the Hour comes to you, would you call upon other than God if you are truthful?”

qul ara-aytakum in atākum ʿadhābu l-lahi aw atatkumu l-sāʿatu aghayra l-lahi tadʿūna in kuntum ṣādiqīn

بَلۡ إِیَّاهُ تَدۡعُونَ فَیَكۡشِفُ مَا تَدۡعُونَ إِلَیۡهِ إِن شَاۤءَ وَتَنسَوۡنَ مَا تُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٤١

Bakhtiari Nejad

No, but you call on Him alone, then if He wants He eliminates what you called Him on, and you will forget what you associate (with Him).

bal iyyāhu tadʿūna fayakshifu mā tadʿūna ilayhi in shāa watansawna mā tush'rikūn

5 Consequences of Rejection

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰۤ أُمَمࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ فَأَخَذۡنَـٰهُم بِٱلۡبَأۡسَاۤءِ وَٱلضَّرَّاۤءِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَتَضَرَّعُونَ ۝٤٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And We have certainly sent (messengers) to communities before you, then We punished them with suffering and hardship so they may be humble.

walaqad arsalnā ilā umamin min qablika fa-akhadhnāhum bil-basāi wal-ḍarāi laʿallahum yataḍarraʿūn

فَلَوۡلَاۤ إِذۡ جَاۤءَهُم بَأۡسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا۟ وَلَـٰكِن قَسَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡ وَزَیَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٤٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

So why did they not humble when Our suffering came to them? Instead, their hearts became hardened and Satan beautified for them what they were doing.

falawlā idh jāahum basunā taḍarraʿū walākin qasat qulūbuhum wazayyana lahumu l-shayṭānu mā kānū yaʿmalūn

فَلَمَّا نَسُوا۟ مَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ أَبۡوَ ٰبَ كُلِّ شَیۡءٍ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا فَرِحُوا۟ بِمَاۤ أُوتُوۤا۟ أَخَذۡنَـٰهُم بَغۡتَةࣰ فَإِذَا هُم مُّبۡلِسُونَ ۝٤٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, when they forgot what they were reminded of, We opened the doors of everything for them until they were happy about what We gave them, until We suddenly took them and then they lost hope.

falammā nasū mā dhukkirū bihi fataḥnā ʿalayhim abwāba kulli shayin ḥattā idhā fariḥū bimā ūtū akhadhnāhum baghtatan fa-idhā hum mub'lisūn

فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ۚ وَٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٤٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, the root of the people who did wrong was cut off, and all praise belongs to God, the Lord of humankind.

faquṭiʿa dābiru l-qawmi alladhīna ẓalamū wal-ḥamdu lillahi rabbi l-ʿālamīn

قُلۡ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِنۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ سَمۡعَكُمۡ وَأَبۡصَـٰرَكُمۡ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُم مَّنۡ إِلَـٰهٌ غَیۡرُ ٱللَّهِ یَأۡتِیكُم بِهِۗ ٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ ثُمَّ هُمۡ یَصۡدِفُونَ ۝٤٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “What do you think if God takes your hearing and your sight and seals your hearts, which god other than God brings it back to you?” See how We explain the signs and they still turn away.

qul ara-aytum in akhadha l-lahu samʿakum wa-abṣārakum wakhatama ʿalā qulūbikum man ilāhun ghayru l-lahi yatīkum bihi unẓur kayfa nuṣarrifu l-āyāti thumma hum yaṣdifūn

قُلۡ أَرَءَیۡتَكُمۡ إِنۡ أَتَىٰكُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱللَّهِ بَغۡتَةً أَوۡ جَهۡرَةً هَلۡ یُهۡلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ۝٤٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “What do you think if God’s punishment comes to you suddenly or openly, will anyone be destroyed except the wrongdoing people?”

qul ara-aytakum in atākum ʿadhābu l-lahi baghtatan aw jahratan hal yuh'laku illā l-qawmu l-ẓālimūn

وَمَا نُرۡسِلُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِینَ وَمُنذِرِینَۖ فَمَنۡ ءَامَنَ وَأَصۡلَحَ فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ یَحۡزَنُونَ ۝٤٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

We do not send the messengers except as givers of good news and warners, so anyone who believes and straightens out should have no fear and no sadness.

wamā nur'silu l-mur'salīna illā mubashirīna wamundhirīna faman āmana wa-aṣlaḥa falā khawfun ʿalayhim walā hum yaḥzanūn

وَٱلَّذِینَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا یَمَسُّهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡسُقُونَ ۝٤٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

And those who deny Our signs, the punishment will touch them because they used to disobey.

wa-alladhīna kadhabū biāyātinā yamassuhumu l-ʿadhābu bimā kānū yafsuqūn

قُل لَّاۤ أَقُولُ لَكُمۡ عِندِی خَزَاۤىِٕنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَاۤ أَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡغَیۡبَ وَلَاۤ أَقُولُ لَكُمۡ إِنِّی مَلَكٌۖ إِنۡ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا یُوحَىٰۤ إِلَیَّۚ قُلۡ هَلۡ یَسۡتَوِی ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ وَٱلۡبَصِیرُۚ أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَ ۝٥٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “I do not tell you that God’s treasures are with me, and I do not know the unseen, and I do not tell you that I am an angel, I only follow what is revealed to me.” Say: “Are blinds and those who see equal? Do you not think?”

qul lā aqūlu lakum ʿindī khazāinu l-lahi walā aʿlamu l-ghayba walā aqūlu lakum innī malakun in attabiʿu illā mā yūḥā ilayya qul hal yastawī l-aʿmā wal-baṣīru afalā tatafakkarūn

6 Reward of Believers

وَأَنذِرۡ بِهِ ٱلَّذِینَ یَخَافُونَ أَن یُحۡشَرُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ لَیۡسَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ وَلِیࣱّ وَلَا شَفِیعࣱ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ یَتَّقُونَ ۝٥١

Bakhtiari Nejad

And with it (Quran) warn those who fear that they will be gathered to their Lord, they will have no protector or mediator other than Him, so that they may be cautious (of God).

wa-andhir bihi alladhīna yakhāfūna an yuḥ'sharū ilā rabbihim laysa lahum min dūnihi waliyyun walā shafīʿun laʿallahum yattaqūn

وَلَا تَطۡرُدِ ٱلَّذِینَ یَدۡعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلۡعَشِیِّ یُرِیدُونَ وَجۡهَهُۥۖ مَا عَلَیۡكَ مِنۡ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَیۡءࣲ وَمَا مِنۡ حِسَابِكَ عَلَیۡهِم مِّن شَیۡءࣲ فَتَطۡرُدَهُمۡ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٥٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And do not drive away those who call on their Lord in the morning and in the evening wanting His pleasure (and His attention). Their account is not on you at all, and your account is not on them at all, so if you drive them away then you are of the wrongdoers.

walā taṭrudi alladhīna yadʿūna rabbahum bil-ghadati wal-ʿashiyi yurīdūna wajhahu mā ʿalayka min ḥisābihim min shayin wamā min ḥisābika ʿalayhim min shayin fataṭrudahum fatakūna mina l-ẓālimīn

وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعۡضَهُم بِبَعۡضࣲ لِّیَقُولُوۤا۟ أَهَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ مَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَیۡهِم مِّنۢ بَیۡنِنَاۤۗ أَلَیۡسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَعۡلَمَ بِٱلشَّـٰكِرِینَ ۝٥٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And like that, We have tested some of them by the others, so that they say: “Are these the ones whom God favored upon them among us?” Does not God know the thankful ones better?

wakadhālika fatannā baʿḍahum bibaʿḍin liyaqūlū ahāulāi manna l-lahu ʿalayhim min bayninā alaysa l-lahu bi-aʿlama bil-shākirīn

وَإِذَا جَاۤءَكَ ٱلَّذِینَ یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا فَقُلۡ سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَیۡكُمۡۖ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةَ أَنَّهُۥ مَنۡ عَمِلَ مِنكُمۡ سُوۤءَۢا بِجَهَـٰلَةࣲ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ وَأَصۡلَحَ فَأَنَّهُۥ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝٥٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And when those who believe in Our signs come to you, say: “Peace (and well-being) upon you. Your Lord has prescribed mercy for Himself, that any one of you who does something bad out of ignorance then he repents afterward and straightens out, He is indeed forgiving and merciful.”

wa-idhā jāaka alladhīna yu'minūna biāyātinā faqul salāmun ʿalaykum kataba rabbukum ʿalā nafsihi l-raḥmata annahu man ʿamila minkum sūan bijahālatin thumma tāba min baʿdihi wa-aṣlaḥa fa-annahu ghafūrun raḥīmu

وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ وَلِتَسۡتَبِینَ سَبِیلُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٥٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And that is how We explain the signs, in order to expose the way of guilty ones.

wakadhālika nufaṣṣilu l-āyāti walitastabīna sabīlu l-muj'rimīn

7 Divine Judgment

قُلۡ إِنِّی نُهِیتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ ٱلَّذِینَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۚ قُل لَّاۤ أَتَّبِعُ أَهۡوَاۤءَكُمۡ قَدۡ ضَلَلۡتُ إِذࣰا وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهۡتَدِینَ ۝٥٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “I am forbidden to serve those you call on other than God.” Say: “I do not follow your desires, (for if I did) I have lost (the right path) and will not be of the guided ones.”

qul innī nuhītu an aʿbuda alladhīna tadʿūna min dūni l-lahi qul lā attabiʿu ahwāakum qad ḍalaltu idhan wamā anā mina l-muh'tadīn

قُلۡ إِنِّی عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّی وَكَذَّبۡتُم بِهِۦۚ مَا عِندِی مَا تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ بِهِۦۤۚ إِنِ ٱلۡحُكۡمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِۖ یَقُصُّ ٱلۡحَقَّۖ وَهُوَ خَیۡرُ ٱلۡفَـٰصِلِینَ ۝٥٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “I am on a clear evidence from my Lord while you deny that, what you want to rush is not with me (in my power), the decision (and making rule) only belongs to God, He tells the truth, and He is the best of deciders/judges.”

qul innī ʿalā bayyinatin min rabbī wakadhabtum bihi mā ʿindī mā tastaʿjilūna bihi ini l-ḥuk'mu illā lillahi yaquṣṣu l-ḥaqa wahuwa khayru l-fāṣilīn

قُل لَّوۡ أَنَّ عِندِی مَا تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ بِهِۦ لَقُضِیَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ بَیۡنِی وَبَیۡنَكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٥٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “If what you want to rush it was with me then the matter would have been settled between me and you, and God best knows the wrongdoers.”

qul law anna ʿindī mā tastaʿjilūna bihi laquḍiya l-amru baynī wabaynakum wal-lahu aʿlamu bil-ẓālimīn

۞ وَعِندَهُۥ مَفَاتِحُ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ لَا یَعۡلَمُهَاۤ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَیَعۡلَمُ مَا فِی ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِۚ وَمَا تَسۡقُطُ مِن وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا یَعۡلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةࣲ فِی ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا رَطۡبࣲ وَلَا یَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٥٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

And keys of the unseen are with Him, and no one knows it except Him, and He knows what is in the land and in the sea and no leaf falls unless He knows about it, and there is no seed in darkness of the earth, and nothing wet and nothing dry unless it is in a clear book.

waʿindahu mafātiḥu l-ghaybi lā yaʿlamuhā illā huwa wayaʿlamu mā fī l-bari wal-baḥri wamā tasquṭu min waraqatin illā yaʿlamuhā walā ḥabbatin fī ẓulumāti l-arḍi walā raṭbin walā yābisin illā fī kitābin mubīni

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی یَتَوَفَّىٰكُم بِٱلَّیۡلِ وَیَعۡلَمُ مَا جَرَحۡتُم بِٱلنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ یَبۡعَثُكُمۡ فِیهِ لِیُقۡضَىٰۤ أَجَلࣱ مُّسَمࣰّىۖ ثُمَّ إِلَیۡهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ ثُمَّ یُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٦٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

He is the One Who takes you back (your consciousness/soul) at night (during sleep) and knows what you did during the day, then He raises you in it (daytime) so that a limited time is finished, then your return is to Him, then He informs you of what you were doing.

wahuwa alladhī yatawaffākum bi-al-layli wayaʿlamu mā jaraḥtum bil-nahāri thumma yabʿathukum fīhi liyuq'ḍā ajalun musamman thumma ilayhi marjiʿukum thumma yunabbi-ukum bimā kuntum taʿmalūn

8 Divine Judgment

وَهُوَ ٱلۡقَاهِرُ فَوۡقَ عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَیُرۡسِلُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ حَفَظَةً حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ تَوَفَّتۡهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمۡ لَا یُفَرِّطُونَ ۝٦١

Bakhtiari Nejad

He is the dominant one over His servants, and He sends observers over you until death comes to any one of you and Our messengers (angels) take him back, and they do not fall short.

wahuwa l-qāhiru fawqa ʿibādihi wayur'silu ʿalaykum ḥafaẓatan ḥattā idhā jāa aḥadakumu l-mawtu tawaffathu rusulunā wahum lā yufarriṭūn

ثُمَّ رُدُّوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَوۡلَىٰهُمُ ٱلۡحَقِّۚ أَلَا لَهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمُ وَهُوَ أَسۡرَعُ ٱلۡحَـٰسِبِینَ ۝٦٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

Then they are returned to God, their true protector/master. Be aware that the command (and the rule) belongs to Him, and He is the fastest of all reckoners.

thumma ruddū ilā l-lahi mawlāhumu l-ḥaqi alā lahu l-ḥuk'mu wahuwa asraʿu l-ḥāsibīn

قُلۡ مَن یُنَجِّیكُم مِّن ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ تَدۡعُونَهُۥ تَضَرُّعࣰا وَخُفۡیَةࣰ لَّىِٕنۡ أَنجَىٰنَا مِنۡ هَـٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّـٰكِرِینَ ۝٦٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Who saves you from darkness of the land and the sea when you call on him humbly and secretly, (saying) if you save us from this, we will be of the thankful?”

qul man yunajjīkum min ẓulumāti l-bari wal-baḥri tadʿūnahu taḍarruʿan wakhuf'yatan la-in anjānā min hādhihi lanakūnanna mina l-shākirīn

قُلِ ٱللَّهُ یُنَجِّیكُم مِّنۡهَا وَمِن كُلِّ كَرۡبࣲ ثُمَّ أَنتُمۡ تُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٦٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “God saves you from it and from every distress, yet you associate (partners with Him)!”

quli l-lahu yunajjīkum min'hā wamin kulli karbin thumma antum tush'rikūn

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱلۡقَادِرُ عَلَىٰۤ أَن یَبۡعَثَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابࣰا مِّن فَوۡقِكُمۡ أَوۡ مِن تَحۡتِ أَرۡجُلِكُمۡ أَوۡ یَلۡبِسَكُمۡ شِیَعࣰا وَیُذِیقَ بَعۡضَكُم بَأۡسَ بَعۡضٍۗ ٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَفۡقَهُونَ ۝٦٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “He is able to send punishment on you from above you or from under your feet or to divide you into sects and make you taste each other's violence.” See how We explain the signs (and verses) so they may understand.

qul huwa l-qādiru ʿalā an yabʿatha ʿalaykum ʿadhāban min fawqikum aw min taḥti arjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaʿan wayudhīqa baʿḍakum basa baʿḍin unẓur kayfa nuṣarrifu l-āyāti laʿallahum yafqahūn

وَكَذَّبَ بِهِۦ قَوۡمُكَ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّۚ قُل لَّسۡتُ عَلَیۡكُم بِوَكِیلࣲ ۝٦٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And your people denied it (Quran) while it is the truth, say: “I am not your advocate.”

wakadhaba bihi qawmuka wahuwa l-ḥaqu qul lastu ʿalaykum biwakīli

لِّكُلِّ نَبَإࣲ مُّسۡتَقَرࣱّۚ وَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٦٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

For every news (like resurrection) there is a settlement (time), and you will know (when it happens).

likulli naba-in mus'taqarrun wasawfa taʿlamūn

وَإِذَا رَأَیۡتَ ٱلَّذِینَ یَخُوضُونَ فِیۤ ءَایَـٰتِنَا فَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ یَخُوضُوا۟ فِی حَدِیثٍ غَیۡرِهِۦۚ وَإِمَّا یُنسِیَنَّكَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ فَلَا تَقۡعُدۡ بَعۡدَ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ مَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٦٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

And when you see those who engage in useless/false discussion about Our signs (and verses), stay away from them until they enter into a conversation other than that. And if Satan makes you forget, then do not sit with the wrongdoing people after remembering.

wa-idhā ra-ayta alladhīna yakhūḍūna fī āyātinā fa-aʿriḍ ʿanhum ḥattā yakhūḍū fī ḥadīthin ghayrihi wa-immā yunsiyannaka l-shayṭānu falā taqʿud baʿda l-dhik'rā maʿa l-qawmi l-ẓālimīn

وَمَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِینَ یَتَّقُونَ مِنۡ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَیۡءࣲ وَلَـٰكِن ذِكۡرَىٰ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَتَّقُونَ ۝٦٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

And nothing of their account is on those who are cautious (of God), but that is a reminder so they may be cautious (of God).

wamā ʿalā alladhīna yattaqūna min ḥisābihim min shayin walākin dhik'rā laʿallahum yattaqūn

وَذَرِ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِینَهُمۡ لَعِبࣰا وَلَهۡوࣰا وَغَرَّتۡهُمُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۚ وَذَكِّرۡ بِهِۦۤ أَن تُبۡسَلَ نَفۡسُۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ لَیۡسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِیࣱّ وَلَا شَفِیعࣱ وَإِن تَعۡدِلۡ كُلَّ عَدۡلࣲ لَّا یُؤۡخَذۡ مِنۡهَاۤۗ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ أُبۡسِلُوا۟ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ۖ لَهُمۡ شَرَابࣱ مِّنۡ حَمِیمࣲ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِیمُۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَكۡفُرُونَ ۝٧٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And leave those who took their way of life (religion) as a play and an amusement, and this world's life has deceived them. And remind with it (Quran) that a person is subject to punishment (and is disgraced) by what it does, and it has no protector and no mediator other than God, and if he offers all the compensations as indemnity, it would not be taken from it. They are those who will be subject to punishment (and are disgraced) for what they did. They will have a drink of boiling water and a painful punishment because of what they used to disbelieve.

wadhari alladhīna ittakhadhū dīnahum laʿiban walahwan wagharrathumu l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā wadhakkir bihi an tub'sala nafsun bimā kasabat laysa lahā min dūni l-lahi waliyyun walā shafīʿun wa-in taʿdil kulla ʿadlin lā yu'khadh min'hā ulāika alladhīna ub'silū bimā kasabū lahum sharābun min ḥamīmin waʿadhābun alīmun bimā kānū yakfurūn

9 Abraham's Argument for Divine Unity

قُلۡ أَنَدۡعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا یَنفَعُنَا وَلَا یَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰۤ أَعۡقَابِنَا بَعۡدَ إِذۡ هَدَىٰنَا ٱللَّهُ كَٱلَّذِی ٱسۡتَهۡوَتۡهُ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینُ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ حَیۡرَانَ لَهُۥۤ أَصۡحَـٰبࣱ یَدۡعُونَهُۥۤ إِلَى ٱلۡهُدَى ٱئۡتِنَاۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰۖ وَأُمِرۡنَا لِنُسۡلِمَ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٧١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Should we call on other than God, something that does not benefit us and does not harm us, and to be turned back on our heels (to disbelief) after God guided us? Like someone whom the devils infatuate and leave him baffled on the earth, while he has companions who invite him to the guidance (saying:) “Come to us.”” Say: “God’s guidance is the (only true) guidance, and we are ordered to submit to the Lord of humankind,

qul anadʿū min dūni l-lahi mā lā yanfaʿunā walā yaḍurrunā wanuraddu ʿalā aʿqābinā baʿda idh hadānā l-lahu ka-alladhī is'tahwathu l-shayāṭīnu fī l-arḍi ḥayrāna lahu aṣḥābun yadʿūnahu ilā l-hudā i'tinā qul inna hudā l-lahi huwa l-hudā wa-umir'nā linus'lima lirabbi l-ʿālamīn

وَأَنۡ أَقِیمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّقُوهُۚ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِیۤ إِلَیۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ ۝٧٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

and to perform mandatory prayer and to be cautious of Him, and He is the One you will be gathered to Him.”

wa-an aqīmū l-ṣalata wa-ittaqūhu wahuwa alladhī ilayhi tuḥ'sharūn

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ وَیَوۡمَ یَقُولُ كُن فَیَكُونُۚ قَوۡلُهُ ٱلۡحَقُّۚ وَلَهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ یَوۡمَ یُنفَخُ فِی ٱلصُّورِۚ عَـٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ٱلۡخَبِیرُ ۝٧٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And He is the One Who created the skies and the earth in truth, and on the day when He says: “Be” and it will be. His word is the truth. And on the day when the horn is blown, the rule belongs to Him. (God is) knower of the unseen and the visible, and He is the wise and the well-informed.

wahuwa alladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa bil-ḥaqi wayawma yaqūlu kun fayakūnu qawluhu l-ḥaqu walahu l-mul'ku yawma yunfakhu fī l-ṣūri ʿālimu l-ghaybi wal-shahādati wahuwa l-ḥakīmu l-khabīr

۞ وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمُ لِأَبِیهِ ءَازَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصۡنَامًا ءَالِهَةً إِنِّیۤ أَرَىٰكَ وَقَوۡمَكَ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٧٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And (remember) when Abraham said to his father Azar: “Do you take idols as gods? I see you and your people are in an obvious error.”

wa-idh qāla ib'rāhīmu li-abīhi āzara atattakhidhu aṣnāman ālihatan innī arāka waqawmaka fī ḍalālin mubīni

وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نُرِیۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ مَلَكُوتَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلِیَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُوقِنِینَ ۝٧٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And that is how We showed Abraham kingdom of the skies and the earth, so that he will be one of those who are certain.

wakadhālika nurī ib'rāhīma malakūta l-samāwāti wal-arḍi waliyakūna mina l-mūqinīn

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلَّیۡلُ رَءَا كَوۡكَبࣰاۖ قَالَ هَـٰذَا رَبِّیۖ فَلَمَّاۤ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَاۤ أُحِبُّ ٱلۡءَافِلِینَ ۝٧٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

When the (darkness of) night covered him, he saw a star and he said: “This is my Lord.” But when it disappeared, he said: “I do not like things that disappear.”

falammā janna ʿalayhi al-laylu raā kawkaban qāla hādhā rabbī falammā afala qāla lā uḥibbu l-āfilīn

فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلۡقَمَرَ بَازِغࣰا قَالَ هَـٰذَا رَبِّیۖ فَلَمَّاۤ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَىِٕن لَّمۡ یَهۡدِنِی رَبِّی لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ۝٧٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And when he saw the moon rising, he said: “This is my Lord.” But when it disappeared, he said: “If my Lord does not guide me, I will be of the misguided people.”

falammā raā l-qamara bāzighan qāla hādhā rabbī falammā afala qāla la-in lam yahdinī rabbī la-akūnanna mina l-qawmi l-ḍālīn

فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلشَّمۡسَ بَازِغَةࣰ قَالَ هَـٰذَا رَبِّی هَـٰذَاۤ أَكۡبَرُۖ فَلَمَّاۤ أَفَلَتۡ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّی بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٧٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

And when he saw the sun rising, he said: “This is my Lord, this is greater.” But when it disappeared, he said: “My people, I am free of what you associate (with Him),

falammā raā l-shamsa bāzighatan qāla hādhā rabbī hādhā akbaru falammā afalat qāla yāqawmi innī barīon mimmā tush'rikūn

إِنِّی وَجَّهۡتُ وَجۡهِیَ لِلَّذِی فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ حَنِیفࣰاۖ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ ۝٧٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

I have faithfully turned myself (and my attention) to the One Who created the skies and the earth, and I am not of the idolaters.”

innī wajjahtu wajhiya lilladhī faṭara l-samāwāti wal-arḍa ḥanīfan wamā anā mina l-mush'rikīn

وَحَاۤجَّهُۥ قَوۡمُهُۥۚ قَالَ أَتُحَـٰۤجُّوۤنِّی فِی ٱللَّهِ وَقَدۡ هَدَىٰنِۚ وَلَاۤ أَخَافُ مَا تُشۡرِكُونَ بِهِۦۤ إِلَّاۤ أَن یَشَاۤءَ رَبِّی شَیۡءࣰاۚ وَسِعَ رَبِّی كُلَّ شَیۡءٍ عِلۡمًاۚ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٨٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And his people argued with him. He said: “Do you argue with me about God, while He has guided me? I am not afraid of what you associate with Him, unless my Lord wants anything (to harm me), my Lord’s knowledge includes everything, will you not take notice?

waḥājjahu qawmuhu qāla atuḥājjūnnī fī l-lahi waqad hadāni walā akhāfu mā tush'rikūna bihi illā an yashāa rabbī shayan wasiʿa rabbī kulla shayin ʿil'man afalā tatadhakkarūn

وَكَیۡفَ أَخَافُ مَاۤ أَشۡرَكۡتُمۡ وَلَا تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمۡ أَشۡرَكۡتُم بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ یُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ عَلَیۡكُمۡ سُلۡطَـٰنࣰاۚ فَأَیُّ ٱلۡفَرِیقَیۡنِ أَحَقُّ بِٱلۡأَمۡنِۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٨١

Bakhtiari Nejad

And why should I fear what you associate (with God), while you do not fear associating (partners) with God when He did not send down any reason for it to you. So, which of the two groups has more right to safety (and peace), if you know?”

wakayfa akhāfu mā ashraktum walā takhāfūna annakum ashraktum bil-lahi mā lam yunazzil bihi ʿalaykum sul'ṭānan fa-ayyu l-farīqayni aḥaqqu bil-amni in kuntum taʿlamūn

ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَلَمۡ یَلۡبِسُوۤا۟ إِیمَـٰنَهُم بِظُلۡمٍ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡأَمۡنُ وَهُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ ۝٨٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

Those who believe and do not mix up their belief with wrongdoing, they are those who have safety (and peace), and they are guided.

alladhīna āmanū walam yalbisū īmānahum biẓul'min ulāika lahumu l-amnu wahum muh'tadūn

10 Prophets among Abraham's Line

وَتِلۡكَ حُجَّتُنَاۤ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰهَاۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦۚ نَرۡفَعُ دَرَجَـٰتࣲ مَّن نَّشَاۤءُۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِیمٌ عَلِیمࣱ ۝٨٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And that is Our reason that We gave Abraham against his people. We raise ranks of anyone We want. Your Lord is indeed wise and knowledgeable.

watil'ka ḥujjatunā ātaynāhā ib'rāhīma ʿalā qawmihi narfaʿu darajātin man nashāu inna rabbaka ḥakīmun ʿalīmu

وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥۤ إِسۡحَـٰقَ وَیَعۡقُوبَۚ كُلًّا هَدَیۡنَاۚ وَنُوحًا هَدَیۡنَا مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَمِن ذُرِّیَّتِهِۦ دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَیۡمَـٰنَ وَأَیُّوبَ وَیُوسُفَ وَمُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَۚ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝٨٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And We gave him Isaac and Jacob, We guided them all, while previously We guided Noah, and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. And that is how We reward the good doers.

wawahabnā lahu is'ḥāqa wayaʿqūba kullan hadaynā wanūḥan hadaynā min qablu wamin dhurriyyatihi dāwūda wasulaymāna wa-ayyūba wayūsufa wamūsā wahārūna wakadhālika najzī l-muḥ'sinīn

وَزَكَرِیَّا وَیَحۡیَىٰ وَعِیسَىٰ وَإِلۡیَاسَۖ كُلࣱّ مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ۝٨٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And Zachariah and Yahya (John the Baptist) and Jesus and Elias (Elijah) were all among the righteous.

wazakariyyā wayaḥyā waʿīsā wa-il'yāsa kullun mina l-ṣāliḥīn

وَإِسۡمَـٰعِیلَ وَٱلۡیَسَعَ وَیُونُسَ وَلُوطࣰاۚ وَكُلࣰّا فَضَّلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٨٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And Ishmael and Al-Yasa'a (Elisha) and Jonah and Lot, and We preferred all of them over all other people.

wa-is'māʿīla wal-yasaʿa wayūnusa walūṭan wakullan faḍḍalnā ʿalā l-ʿālamīn

وَمِنۡ ءَابَاۤىِٕهِمۡ وَذُرِّیَّـٰتِهِمۡ وَإِخۡوَ ٰنِهِمۡۖ وَٱجۡتَبَیۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَهَدَیۡنَـٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ ۝٨٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And from their fathers and their descendants and their brothers, We chose some of them and guided them to a straight path.

wamin ābāihim wadhurriyyātihim wa-ikh'wānihim wa-ij'tabaynāhum wahadaynāhum ilā ṣirāṭin mus'taqīmi

ذَ ٰلِكَ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ یَهۡدِی بِهِۦ مَن یَشَاۤءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦۚ وَلَوۡ أَشۡرَكُوا۟ لَحَبِطَ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٨٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

That is God’s guidance, with it He guides any one of His servants He wants, and if they had associated partners (with Him) whatever they were doing would have certainly become useless for them.

dhālika hudā l-lahi yahdī bihi man yashāu min ʿibādihi walaw ashrakū laḥabiṭa ʿanhum mā kānū yaʿmalūn

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلۡحُكۡمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَۚ فَإِن یَكۡفُرۡ بِهَا هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ فَقَدۡ وَكَّلۡنَا بِهَا قَوۡمࣰا لَّیۡسُوا۟ بِهَا بِكَـٰفِرِینَ ۝٨٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

They are those whom We gave them the book and the authority and the prophethood. But if these disbelieve in it, then We entrust it to a people who will not be disbelievers in it.

ulāika alladhīna ātaynāhumu l-kitāba wal-ḥuk'ma wal-nubuwata fa-in yakfur bihā hāulāi faqad wakkalnā bihā qawman laysū bihā bikāfirīn

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ هَدَى ٱللَّهُۖ فَبِهُدَىٰهُمُ ٱقۡتَدِهۡۗ قُل لَّاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ أَجۡرًاۖ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٩٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

These are those whom God guided, so follow their guidance. Say: “I do not ask any wages for it, this (Quran) is only a reminder for humankind.”

ulāika alladhīna hadā l-lahu fabihudāhumu iq'tadih qul lā asalukum ʿalayhi ajran in huwa illā dhik'rā lil'ʿālamīn

11 Truth of Revelation

وَمَا قَدَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهِۦۤ إِذۡ قَالُوا۟ مَاۤ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ بَشَرࣲ مِّن شَیۡءࣲۗ قُلۡ مَنۡ أَنزَلَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ ٱلَّذِی جَاۤءَ بِهِۦ مُوسَىٰ نُورࣰا وَهُدࣰى لِّلنَّاسِۖ تَجۡعَلُونَهُۥ قَرَاطِیسَ تُبۡدُونَهَا وَتُخۡفُونَ كَثِیرࣰاۖ وَعُلِّمۡتُم مَّا لَمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنتُمۡ وَلَاۤ ءَابَاۤؤُكُمۡۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُۖ ثُمَّ ذَرۡهُمۡ فِی خَوۡضِهِمۡ یَلۡعَبُونَ ۝٩١

Bakhtiari Nejad

They did not value God His true worth, when they said: “God has not sent down anything to any human being.” Say: “Who sent down the book that Moses brought, a light and guidance for the people? You put it on papers, disclosing some of it and hiding most of it, while you were taught what you and your fathers did not know.” Say: “God (sent it down).” Then leave them playing around entering into their (false and useless) conversation.

wamā qadarū l-laha ḥaqqa qadrihi idh qālū mā anzala l-lahu ʿalā basharin min shayin qul man anzala l-kitāba alladhī jāa bihi mūsā nūran wahudan lilnnāsi tajʿalūnahu qarāṭīsa tub'dūnahā watukh'fūna kathīran waʿullim'tum mā lam taʿlamū antum walā ābāukum quli l-lahu thumma dharhum fī khawḍihim yalʿabūn

وَهَـٰذَا كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ مُبَارَكࣱ مُّصَدِّقُ ٱلَّذِی بَیۡنَ یَدَیۡهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهَاۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦۖ وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمۡ یُحَافِظُونَ ۝٩٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And this book (Quran), which We sent it down is blessed, confirming what was before it so that you warn (people of) the mother town (Mecca) and around it. And those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they guard their mandatory prayer.

wahādhā kitābun anzalnāhu mubārakun muṣaddiqu alladhī bayna yadayhi walitundhira umma l-qurā waman ḥawlahā wa-alladhīna yu'minūna bil-ākhirati yu'minūna bihi wahum ʿalā ṣalātihim yuḥāfiẓūn

وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوۡ قَالَ أُوحِیَ إِلَیَّ وَلَمۡ یُوحَ إِلَیۡهِ شَیۡءࣱ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثۡلَ مَاۤ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُۗ وَلَوۡ تَرَىٰۤ إِذِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ فِی غَمَرَ ٰتِ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ بَاسِطُوۤا۟ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ أَخۡرِجُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَكُمُۖ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ تُجۡزَوۡنَ عَذَابَ ٱلۡهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ غَیۡرَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَكُنتُمۡ عَنۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦ تَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ ۝٩٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And who is more wrong than someone who makes up a lie (and attributes it) to God, or says: “It was revealed to me,” while nothing was revealed to him, and anyone who says: “I am going to reveal like what God has sent down.”? And if you see when the wrongdoers are in the agonies of death and the angels open their hands (saying:) “Eject your souls, today you are punished a humiliating punishment for what you were unjustifiably saying against God and for being arrogant about His signs (and not believing in them).”

waman aẓlamu mimmani if'tarā ʿalā l-lahi kadhiban aw qāla ūḥiya ilayya walam yūḥa ilayhi shayon waman qāla sa-unzilu mith'la mā anzala l-lahu walaw tarā idhi l-ẓālimūna fī ghamarāti l-mawti wal-malāikatu bāsiṭū aydīhim akhrijū anfusakumu l-yawma tuj'zawna ʿadhāba l-hūni bimā kuntum taqūlūna ʿalā l-lahi ghayra l-ḥaqi wakuntum ʿan āyātihi tastakbirūn

وَلَقَدۡ جِئۡتُمُونَا فُرَ ٰدَىٰ كَمَا خَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةࣲ وَتَرَكۡتُم مَّا خَوَّلۡنَـٰكُمۡ وَرَاۤءَ ظُهُورِكُمۡۖ وَمَا نَرَىٰ مَعَكُمۡ شُفَعَاۤءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِینَ زَعَمۡتُمۡ أَنَّهُمۡ فِیكُمۡ شُرَكَـٰۤؤُا۟ۚ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَیۡنَكُمۡ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمۡ تَزۡعُمُونَ ۝٩٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And (on the Resurrection Day God will tell them): “You have certainly come to Us individually as We created you the first time, and you have left behind your backs whatever (worldly possessions) We gave you, and We do not see your mediators with you, those you claimed were partners (of God) in your (affairs). Indeed, you are cut off and what you were claiming abandoned you.”

walaqad ji'tumūnā furādā kamā khalaqnākum awwala marratin wataraktum mā khawwalnākum warāa ẓuhūrikum wamā narā maʿakum shufaʿāakumu alladhīna zaʿamtum annahum fīkum shurakāu laqad taqaṭṭaʿa baynakum waḍalla ʿankum mā kuntum tazʿumūn

12 Ultimate Triumph of Truth

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ فَالِقُ ٱلۡحَبِّ وَٱلنَّوَىٰۖ یُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡحَیَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَیِّتِ وَمُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَیِّتِ مِنَ ٱلۡحَیِّۚ ذَ ٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤۡفَكُونَ ۝٩٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

Indeed, God is the splitter of the seed and the (fruit) pit, He brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living. That is your God, so how do you deviate?

inna l-laha fāliqu l-ḥabi wal-nawā yukh'riju l-ḥaya mina l-mayiti wamukh'riju l-mayiti mina l-ḥayi dhālikumu l-lahu fa-annā tu'fakūn

فَالِقُ ٱلۡإِصۡبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ ٱلَّیۡلَ سَكَنࣰا وَٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَ حُسۡبَانࣰاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ تَقۡدِیرُ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلۡعَلِیمِ ۝٩٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

Splitter of the morning, He made the night for rest and the sun and the moon for calculation (as in a calendar). That is the ordinance of the powerful and the knowledgeable.

fāliqu l-iṣ'bāḥi wajaʿala al-layla sakanan wal-shamsa wal-qamara ḥus'bānan dhālika taqdīru l-ʿazīzi l-ʿalīm

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلنُّجُومَ لِتَهۡتَدُوا۟ بِهَا فِی ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِۗ قَدۡ فَصَّلۡنَا ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لِقَوۡمࣲ یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٩٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And He is the One Who made the stars for you to guide you with them in darkness of the land and the sea. We have certainly explained the signs in detail for people who know.

wahuwa alladhī jaʿala lakumu l-nujūma litahtadū bihā fī ẓulumāti l-bari wal-baḥri qad faṣṣalnā l-āyāti liqawmin yaʿlamūn

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسࣲ وَ ٰحِدَةࣲ فَمُسۡتَقَرࣱّ وَمُسۡتَوۡدَعࣱۗ قَدۡ فَصَّلۡنَا ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لِقَوۡمࣲ یَفۡقَهُونَ ۝٩٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

And He is the One Who created you from a single being, and (there is) a place to stay and a depository (for you). We have certainly explained the signs in detail for people who understand.

wahuwa alladhī ansha-akum min nafsin wāḥidatin famus'taqarrun wamus'tawdaʿun qad faṣṣalnā l-āyāti liqawmin yafqahūn

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا بِهِۦ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مِنۡهُ خَضِرࣰا نُّخۡرِجُ مِنۡهُ حَبࣰّا مُّتَرَاكِبࣰا وَمِنَ ٱلنَّخۡلِ مِن طَلۡعِهَا قِنۡوَانࣱ دَانِیَةࣱ وَجَنَّـٰتࣲ مِّنۡ أَعۡنَابࣲ وَٱلزَّیۡتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُشۡتَبِهࣰا وَغَیۡرَ مُتَشَـٰبِهٍۗ ٱنظُرُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ ثَمَرِهِۦۤ إِذَاۤ أَثۡمَرَ وَیَنۡعِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكُمۡ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ لِّقَوۡمࣲ یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٩٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

And He is the One Who sends down rain from the sky, then We bring out (and grow) all kinds of plants with it, then We bring out the green (sprouts) from it, bringing out grain overlapping (each other), and from the date palm and from its pollen, clusters of dates hanging low and near, and gardens of grapes and the olives and the pomegranates, alike and unlike. Look at its fruit when it bears fruit, and it ripens. Indeed, there are signs in that for people who believe.

wahuwa alladhī anzala mina l-samāi māan fa-akhrajnā bihi nabāta kulli shayin fa-akhrajnā min'hu khaḍiran nukh'riju min'hu ḥabban mutarākiban wamina l-nakhli min ṭalʿihā qin'wānun dāniyatun wajannātin min aʿnābin wal-zaytūna wal-rumāna mush'tabihan waghayra mutashābihin unẓurū ilā thamarihi idhā athmara wayanʿihi inna fī dhālikum laāyātin liqawmin yu'minūn

وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاۤءَ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمۡۖ وَخَرَقُوا۟ لَهُۥ بَنِینَ وَبَنَـٰتِۭ بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲۚ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا یَصِفُونَ ۝١٠٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

They made partners of the Jinn (Genie) for God, while He created them, and they falsely attributed sons and daughters to Him without any knowledge. He is flawless and above what they describe.

wajaʿalū lillahi shurakāa l-jina wakhalaqahum wakharaqū lahu banīna wabanātin bighayri ʿil'min sub'ḥānahu wataʿālā ʿammā yaṣifūn

13 Gradual Progress

بَدِیعُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ أَنَّىٰ یَكُونُ لَهُۥ وَلَدࣱ وَلَمۡ تَكُن لَّهُۥ صَـٰحِبَةࣱۖ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَیۡءࣲۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عَلِیمࣱ ۝١٠١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Originator of the skies and the earth, how can He have a child while He had no spouse? And He created everything, and He knows everything.

badīʿu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi annā yakūnu lahu waladun walam takun lahu ṣāḥibatun wakhalaqa kulla shayin wahuwa bikulli shayin ʿalīmu

ذَ ٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمۡۖ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ خَـٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَكِیلࣱ ۝١٠٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

That is God, your Lord. There is no God except Him, creator of everything, so serve Him. He is the advocate of everything.

dhālikumu l-lahu rabbukum lā ilāha illā huwa khāliqu kulli shayin fa-uʿ'budūhu wahuwa ʿalā kulli shayin wakīlu

لَّا تُدۡرِكُهُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَـٰرُ وَهُوَ یُدۡرِكُ ٱلۡأَبۡصَـٰرَۖ وَهُوَ ٱللَّطِیفُ ٱلۡخَبِیرُ ۝١٠٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

Insights (and intellects) do not comprehend Him, while He comprehends the insights (and intellects), and He is nice and well-informed.

lā tud'rikuhu l-abṣāru wahuwa yud'riku l-abṣāra wahuwa l-laṭīfu l-khabīr

قَدۡ جَاۤءَكُم بَصَاۤىِٕرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمۡۖ فَمَنۡ أَبۡصَرَ فَلِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَنۡ عَمِیَ فَعَلَیۡهَاۚ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ عَلَیۡكُم بِحَفِیظࣲ ۝١٠٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Enlightenment has come to you from your Lord, so anyone who is enlightened, it is for himself, and whoever is blind, it is against him. And I am not your guardian.

qad jāakum baṣāiru min rabbikum faman abṣara falinafsihi waman ʿamiya faʿalayhā wamā anā ʿalaykum biḥafīẓi

وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ وَلِیَقُولُوا۟ دَرَسۡتَ وَلِنُبَیِّنَهُۥ لِقَوۡمࣲ یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝١٠٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

That is how We explain the signs (and verses), and let them say you studied, while We make it clear for people who know.

wakadhālika nuṣarrifu l-āyāti waliyaqūlū darasta walinubayyinahu liqawmin yaʿlamūn

ٱتَّبِعۡ مَاۤ أُوحِیَ إِلَیۡكَ مِن رَّبِّكَۖ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ ۝١٠٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord. There is no god except Him, and stay away from the idolaters.

ittabiʿ mā ūḥiya ilayka min rabbika lā ilāha illā huwa wa-aʿriḍ ʿani l-mush'rikīn

وَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ مَاۤ أَشۡرَكُوا۟ۗ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَـٰكَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ حَفِیظࣰاۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتَ عَلَیۡهِم بِوَكِیلࣲ ۝١٠٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

If God wanted, they would not have set up associates (as His partners), and We did not make you their guardian and you are not their advocate.

walaw shāa l-lahu mā ashrakū wamā jaʿalnāka ʿalayhim ḥafīẓan wamā anta ʿalayhim biwakīli

وَلَا تَسُبُّوا۟ ٱلَّذِینَ یَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَیَسُبُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَدۡوَۢا بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲۗ كَذَ ٰلِكَ زَیَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمۡ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِم مَّرۡجِعُهُمۡ فَیُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٠٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

Do not insult those who call on others (or those whom they call) besides God, because they will insult God out of enmity and without knowledge. That is how We beautified for every community their actions. Then their return is to their Lord, and He informs them of what they were doing.

walā tasubbū alladhīna yadʿūna min dūni l-lahi fayasubbū l-laha ʿadwan bighayri ʿil'min kadhālika zayyannā likulli ummatin ʿamalahum thumma ilā rabbihim marjiʿuhum fayunabbi-uhum bimā kānū yaʿmalūn

وَأَقۡسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهۡدَ أَیۡمَـٰنِهِمۡ لَىِٕن جَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ ءَایَةࣱ لَّیُؤۡمِنُنَّ بِهَاۚ قُلۡ إِنَّمَا ٱلۡءَایَـٰتُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِۖ وَمَا یُشۡعِرُكُمۡ أَنَّهَاۤ إِذَا جَاۤءَتۡ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝١٠٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

They solemnly swear by God that if a miracle comes to them, they shall believe in it. Say: “The miracles are only with God,” and what makes you realize that even if it comes, they will not believe.

wa-aqsamū bil-lahi jahda aymānihim la-in jāathum āyatun layu'minunna bihā qul innamā l-āyātu ʿinda l-lahi wamā yush'ʿirukum annahā idhā jāat lā yu'minūn

وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفۡءِدَتَهُمۡ وَأَبۡصَـٰرَهُمۡ كَمَا لَمۡ یُؤۡمِنُوا۟ بِهِۦۤ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةࣲ وَنَذَرُهُمۡ فِی طُغۡیَـٰنِهِمۡ یَعۡمَهُونَ ۝١١٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And We turn their hearts and their eyes (away from the truth), just as they did not believe in it the first time, and We leave them wandering in their rebellion.

wanuqallibu afidatahum wa-abṣārahum kamā lam yu'minū bihi awwala marratin wanadharuhum fī ṭugh'yānihim yaʿmahūn

14 Polytheists' Opposition

۞ وَلَوۡ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡهِمُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَحَشَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ كُلَّ شَیۡءࣲ قُبُلࣰا مَّا كَانُوا۟ لِیُؤۡمِنُوۤا۟ إِلَّاۤ أَن یَشَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ یَجۡهَلُونَ ۝١١١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Had We sent down the angels to them, and the dead spoke to them, and gathered everything in front of them, they would not have believed unless God wanted, but most of them are ignorant.

walaw annanā nazzalnā ilayhimu l-malāikata wakallamahumu l-mawtā waḥasharnā ʿalayhim kulla shayin qubulan mā kānū liyu'minū illā an yashāa l-lahu walākinna aktharahum yajhalūn

وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِیٍّ عَدُوࣰّا شَیَـٰطِینَ ٱلۡإِنسِ وَٱلۡجِنِّ یُوحِی بَعۡضُهُمۡ إِلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ زُخۡرُفَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِ غُرُورࣰاۚ وَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُۖ فَذَرۡهُمۡ وَمَا یَفۡتَرُونَ ۝١١٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And like that We appointed for every prophet, humans and Jinn devils, as enemy inspiring one another by fancy words as deception. And if your Lord wanted, they would not have done it, so leave them and what they fabricate,

wakadhālika jaʿalnā likulli nabiyyin ʿaduwwan shayāṭīna l-insi wal-jini yūḥī baʿḍuhum ilā baʿḍin zukh'rufa l-qawli ghurūran walaw shāa rabbuka mā faʿalūhu fadharhum wamā yaftarūn

وَلِتَصۡغَىٰۤ إِلَیۡهِ أَفۡءِدَةُ ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ وَلِیَرۡضَوۡهُ وَلِیَقۡتَرِفُوا۟ مَا هُم مُّقۡتَرِفُونَ ۝١١٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

so that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter lean toward it and in order to be pleased with it (those fancy words), and so they commit what they commit.

walitaṣghā ilayhi afidatu alladhīna lā yu'minūna bil-ākhirati waliyarḍawhu waliyaqtarifū mā hum muq'tarifūn

أَفَغَیۡرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبۡتَغِی حَكَمࣰا وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَنزَلَ إِلَیۡكُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ مُفَصَّلࣰاۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ یَعۡلَمُونَ أَنَّهُۥ مُنَزَّلࣱ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُمۡتَرِینَ ۝١١٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Should I look for a judge other than God while He is the One Who sent down the book to you, explained in detail? And those whom We gave them the book know that it is truly sent down by your Lord, so do not be of the doubters.

afaghayra l-lahi abtaghī ḥakaman wahuwa alladhī anzala ilaykumu l-kitāba mufaṣṣalan wa-alladhīna ātaynāhumu l-kitāba yaʿlamūna annahu munazzalun min rabbika bil-ḥaqi falā takūnanna mina l-mum'tarīn

وَتَمَّتۡ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدۡقࣰا وَعَدۡلࣰاۚ لَّا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝١١٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And the word of your Lord completed in truth and justice. No one can change His words. And He hears all and knows all.

watammat kalimatu rabbika ṣid'qan waʿadlan lā mubaddila likalimātihi wahuwa l-samīʿu l-ʿalīm

وَإِن تُطِعۡ أَكۡثَرَ مَن فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ یُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِۚ إِن یَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنۡ هُمۡ إِلَّا یَخۡرُصُونَ ۝١١٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And if you obey most of those on earth, they misguide you from God's way. They follow nothing but speculation, and they only guess.

wa-in tuṭiʿ akthara man fī l-arḍi yuḍillūka ʿan sabīli l-lahi in yattabiʿūna illā l-ẓana wa-in hum illā yakhruṣūn

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعۡلَمُ مَن یَضِلُّ عَن سَبِیلِهِۦۖ وَهُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِٱلۡمُهۡتَدِینَ ۝١١٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

Your Lord knows best who is lost from His way, and He knows best who the guided ones are.

inna rabbaka huwa aʿlamu man yaḍillu ʿan sabīlihi wahuwa aʿlamu bil-muh'tadīn

فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ ٱسۡمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡهِ إِن كُنتُم بِءَایَـٰتِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١١٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, eat from what God’s name has been mentioned on it, if you believe in His signs.

fakulū mimmā dhukira us'mu l-lahi ʿalayhi in kuntum biāyātihi mu'minīn

وَمَا لَكُمۡ أَلَّا تَأۡكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ ٱسۡمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡهِ وَقَدۡ فَصَّلَ لَكُم مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ إِلَّا مَا ٱضۡطُرِرۡتُمۡ إِلَیۡهِۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِیرࣰا لَّیُضِلُّونَ بِأَهۡوَاۤىِٕهِم بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمٍۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِٱلۡمُعۡتَدِینَ ۝١١٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

What is it with you that you do not eat from what God’s name has been mentioned on it, when He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you, except when you are forced to (eat) it? And indeed many misguide others with their desires without any knowledge. Indeed, your Lord knows best those who exceed the limits.

wamā lakum allā takulū mimmā dhukira us'mu l-lahi ʿalayhi waqad faṣṣala lakum mā ḥarrama ʿalaykum illā mā uḍ'ṭurir'tum ilayhi wa-inna kathīran layuḍillūna bi-ahwāihim bighayri ʿil'min inna rabbaka huwa aʿlamu bil-muʿ'tadīn

وَذَرُوا۟ ظَـٰهِرَ ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَبَاطِنَهُۥۤۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یَكۡسِبُونَ ٱلۡإِثۡمَ سَیُجۡزَوۡنَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَقۡتَرِفُونَ ۝١٢٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And stay away from obvious and hidden sins. Those who commit sin are going to be punished for what they were committing.

wadharū ẓāhira l-ith'mi wabāṭinahu inna alladhīna yaksibūna l-ith'ma sayuj'zawna bimā kānū yaqtarifūn

وَلَا تَأۡكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا لَمۡ یُذۡكَرِ ٱسۡمُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡهِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِسۡقࣱۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینَ لَیُوحُونَ إِلَىٰۤ أَوۡلِیَاۤىِٕهِمۡ لِیُجَـٰدِلُوكُمۡۖ وَإِنۡ أَطَعۡتُمُوهُمۡ إِنَّكُمۡ لَمُشۡرِكُونَ ۝١٢١

Bakhtiari Nejad

And do not eat from what God’s name has not been mentioned on it, indeed it is disobedience. And the devils certainly inspire their friends to argue with you, and if you obey them, you are certainly idolaters.

walā takulū mimmā lam yudh'kari us'mu l-lahi ʿalayhi wa-innahu lafis'qun wa-inna l-shayāṭīna layūḥūna ilā awliyāihim liyujādilūkum wa-in aṭaʿtumūhum innakum lamush'rikūn

15 The Chief Opponents

أَوَ مَن كَانَ مَیۡتࣰا فَأَحۡیَیۡنَـٰهُ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُۥ نُورࣰا یَمۡشِی بِهِۦ فِی ٱلنَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُۥ فِی ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ لَیۡسَ بِخَارِجࣲ مِّنۡهَاۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ زُیِّنَ لِلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٢٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

Or is someone who was dead and We made him alive and put a light for him to walk among the people with it, like someone who is in darkness and cannot come out of it? That is how what they are doing is beautified for the disbelievers.

awaman kāna maytan fa-aḥyaynāhu wajaʿalnā lahu nūran yamshī bihi fī l-nāsi kaman mathaluhu fī l-ẓulumāti laysa bikhārijin min'hā kadhālika zuyyina lil'kāfirīna mā kānū yaʿmalūn

وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنَا فِی كُلِّ قَرۡیَةٍ أَكَـٰبِرَ مُجۡرِمِیهَا لِیَمۡكُرُوا۟ فِیهَاۖ وَمَا یَمۡكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنفُسِهِمۡ وَمَا یَشۡعُرُونَ ۝١٢٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And that is how We have placed in every town its greatest criminals to plot in it. And they do not plot except against themselves, and they do not realize it.

wakadhālika jaʿalnā fī kulli qaryatin akābira muj'rimīhā liyamkurū fīhā wamā yamkurūna illā bi-anfusihim wamā yashʿurūn

وَإِذَا جَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ ءَایَةࣱ قَالُوا۟ لَن نُّؤۡمِنَ حَتَّىٰ نُؤۡتَىٰ مِثۡلَ مَاۤ أُوتِیَ رُسُلُ ٱللَّهِۘ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ حَیۡثُ یَجۡعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُۥۗ سَیُصِیبُ ٱلَّذِینَ أَجۡرَمُوا۟ صَغَارٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعَذَابࣱ شَدِیدُۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَمۡكُرُونَ ۝١٢٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And when a sign comes to them, they say: “We will never believe until we are given same as what was given to God's messengers.” God knows best where to place His message. Those who are guilty are going to suffer lowliness before God and a severe punishment for what they were plotting.

wa-idhā jāathum āyatun qālū lan nu'mina ḥattā nu'tā mith'la mā ūtiya rusulu l-lahi l-lahu aʿlamu ḥaythu yajʿalu risālatahu sayuṣību alladhīna ajramū ṣaghārun ʿinda l-lahi waʿadhābun shadīdun bimā kānū yamkurūn

فَمَن یُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن یَهۡدِیَهُۥ یَشۡرَحۡ صَدۡرَهُۥ لِلۡإِسۡلَـٰمِۖ وَمَن یُرِدۡ أَن یُضِلَّهُۥ یَجۡعَلۡ صَدۡرَهُۥ ضَیِّقًا حَرَجࣰا كَأَنَّمَا یَصَّعَّدُ فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ یَجۡعَلُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرِّجۡسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝١٢٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

Whomever God wants to guide him, He opens his chest to submission, and whomever He wants to misguide him, He makes his chest tightly closed as if he climbs up to the sky. This is how God puts filth on those who do not believe.

faman yuridi l-lahu an yahdiyahu yashraḥ ṣadrahu lil'is'lāmi waman yurid an yuḍillahu yajʿal ṣadrahu ḍayyiqan ḥarajan ka-annamā yaṣṣaʿʿadu fī l-samāi kadhālika yajʿalu l-lahu l-rij'sa ʿalā alladhīna lā yu'minūn

وَهَـٰذَا صِرَ ٰطُ رَبِّكَ مُسۡتَقِیمࣰاۗ قَدۡ فَصَّلۡنَا ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لِقَوۡمࣲ یَذَّكَّرُونَ ۝١٢٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

This is your Lord's straight path. We have explained the signs (and verses) in detail for people who take notice.

wahādhā ṣirāṭu rabbika mus'taqīman qad faṣṣalnā l-āyāti liqawmin yadhakkarūn

۞ لَهُمۡ دَارُ ٱلسَّلَـٰمِ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡۖ وَهُوَ وَلِیُّهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٢٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

They will have the home of peace with their Lord, and He is their protector because of what they were doing.

lahum dāru l-salāmi ʿinda rabbihim wahuwa waliyyuhum bimā kānū yaʿmalūn

وَیَوۡمَ یَحۡشُرُهُمۡ جَمِیعࣰا یَـٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ قَدِ ٱسۡتَكۡثَرۡتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِۖ وَقَالَ أَوۡلِیَاۤؤُهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِ رَبَّنَا ٱسۡتَمۡتَعَ بَعۡضُنَا بِبَعۡضࣲ وَبَلَغۡنَاۤ أَجَلَنَا ٱلَّذِیۤ أَجَّلۡتَ لَنَاۚ قَالَ ٱلنَّارُ مَثۡوَىٰكُمۡ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۤ إِلَّا مَا شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِیمٌ عَلِیمࣱ ۝١٢٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

And on the day when He gathers them all (saying:) “You clan of Jinn, you have seduced many human beings.” And their friends among the human beings say: “Our Lord, some of us profited from others, and we reached our appointed time that You appointed for us.” He says: “The fire will be your accommodation, remaining in there forever unless God wants (to save you). Your Lord is indeed wise and knowledgeable.”

wayawma yaḥshuruhum jamīʿan yāmaʿshara l-jini qadi is'takthartum mina l-insi waqāla awliyāuhum mina l-insi rabbanā is'tamtaʿa baʿḍunā bibaʿḍin wabalaghnā ajalanā alladhī ajjalta lanā qāla l-nāru mathwākum khālidīna fīhā illā mā shāa l-lahu inna rabbaka ḥakīmun ʿalīmu

وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نُوَلِّی بَعۡضَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ بَعۡضَۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَكۡسِبُونَ ۝١٢٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

And that is how We make some of the wrongdoers support the others for what they were doing.

wakadhālika nuwallī baʿḍa l-ẓālimīna baʿḍan bimā kānū yaksibūn

16 Evils of Idolatry

یَـٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ أَلَمۡ یَأۡتِكُمۡ رُسُلࣱ مِّنكُمۡ یَقُصُّونَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِی وَیُنذِرُونَكُمۡ لِقَاۤءَ یَوۡمِكُمۡ هَـٰذَاۚ قَالُوا۟ شَهِدۡنَا عَلَىٰۤ أَنفُسِنَاۖ وَغَرَّتۡهُمُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَشَهِدُوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ أَنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ كَـٰفِرِینَ ۝١٣٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

You clan of Jinn and humans, didn't messengers from among you come to you telling you My signs, and warning you about the meeting of this day of yours? They say: “We testify against ourselves.” And this world's life deceived them, and they will testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.

yāmaʿshara l-jini wal-insi alam yatikum rusulun minkum yaquṣṣūna ʿalaykum āyātī wayundhirūnakum liqāa yawmikum hādhā qālū shahid'nā ʿalā anfusinā wagharrathumu l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā washahidū ʿalā anfusihim annahum kānū kāfirīn

ذَ ٰلِكَ أَن لَّمۡ یَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهۡلِكَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ بِظُلۡمࣲ وَأَهۡلُهَا غَـٰفِلُونَ ۝١٣١

Bakhtiari Nejad

That is because your Lord is not destroyer of the towns wrongfully (or for their wrongdoing) while their inhabitants are unaware.

dhālika an lam yakun rabbuka muh'lika l-qurā biẓul'min wa-ahluhā ghāfilūn

وَلِكُلࣲّ دَرَجَـٰتࣱ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا۟ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَـٰفِلٍ عَمَّا یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٣٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And for everyone there will be ranks according to what they did, and your Lord is not unaware of what they do.

walikullin darajātun mimmā ʿamilū wamā rabbuka bighāfilin ʿammā yaʿmalūn

وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡغَنِیُّ ذُو ٱلرَّحۡمَةِۚ إِن یَشَأۡ یُذۡهِبۡكُمۡ وَیَسۡتَخۡلِفۡ مِنۢ بَعۡدِكُم مَّا یَشَاۤءُ كَمَاۤ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن ذُرِّیَّةِ قَوۡمٍ ءَاخَرِینَ ۝١٣٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And your Lord is rich (without need) and full of mercy. If He wants, He destroys you and replaces you with what He wants, just as He produced you from other people’s descendants.

warabbuka l-ghaniyu dhū l-raḥmati in yasha yudh'hib'kum wayastakhlif min baʿdikum mā yashāu kamā ansha-akum min dhurriyyati qawmin ākharīn

إِنَّ مَا تُوعَدُونَ لَءَاتࣲۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتُم بِمُعۡجِزِینَ ۝١٣٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Indeed, what you are promised shall come, and you cannot escape it.

inna mā tūʿadūna laātin wamā antum bimuʿ'jizīn

قُلۡ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمۡ إِنِّی عَامِلࣱۖ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ مَن تَكُونُ لَهُۥ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلدَّارِۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا یُفۡلِحُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ۝١٣٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “My people, do what you are capable of, and I do (what I can), and you will know who has the final home (in paradise). Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed.”

qul yāqawmi iʿ'malū ʿalā makānatikum innī ʿāmilun fasawfa taʿlamūna man takūnu lahu ʿāqibatu l-dāri innahu lā yuf'liḥu l-ẓālimūn

وَجَعَلُوا۟ لِلَّهِ مِمَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَرۡثِ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِ نَصِیبࣰا فَقَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَا لِلَّهِ بِزَعۡمِهِمۡ وَهَـٰذَا لِشُرَكَاۤىِٕنَاۖ فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمۡ فَلَا یَصِلُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَمَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ یَصِلُ إِلَىٰ شُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمۡۗ سَاۤءَ مَا یَحۡكُمُونَ ۝١٣٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they put aside a share for God from the crops and the livestock that He created, and they said by their claim that this is for God, and this is for our partners (of God). Then what was for their partners (of God) did not reach God, but what was for God reached their partners. What they judge is bad.

wajaʿalū lillahi mimmā dhara-a mina l-ḥarthi wal-anʿāmi naṣīban faqālū hādhā lillahi bizaʿmihim wahādhā lishurakāinā famā kāna lishurakāihim falā yaṣilu ilā l-lahi wamā kāna lillahi fahuwa yaṣilu ilā shurakāihim sāa mā yaḥkumūn

وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ زَیَّنَ لِكَثِیرࣲ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ قَتۡلَ أَوۡلَـٰدِهِمۡ شُرَكَاۤؤُهُمۡ لِیُرۡدُوهُمۡ وَلِیَلۡبِسُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِمۡ دِینَهُمۡۖ وَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُۖ فَذَرۡهُمۡ وَمَا یَفۡتَرُونَ ۝١٣٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And that is how their partners (of God) made the killing of their children attractive for many of the idolaters, to ruin them and to confuse them about their way of life (religion). And if God wanted, they would not have done it. So, leave them and what they fabricate.

wakadhālika zayyana likathīrin mina l-mush'rikīna qatla awlādihim shurakāuhum liyur'dūhum waliyalbisū ʿalayhim dīnahum walaw shāa l-lahu mā faʿalūhu fadharhum wamā yaftarūn

وَقَالُوا۟ هَـٰذِهِۦۤ أَنۡعَـٰمࣱ وَحَرۡثٌ حِجۡرࣱ لَّا یَطۡعَمُهَاۤ إِلَّا مَن نَّشَاۤءُ بِزَعۡمِهِمۡ وَأَنۡعَـٰمٌ حُرِّمَتۡ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنۡعَـٰمࣱ لَّا یَذۡكُرُونَ ٱسۡمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡهَا ٱفۡتِرَاۤءً عَلَیۡهِۚ سَیَجۡزِیهِم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡتَرُونَ ۝١٣٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

They said by their claim that these livestock and crops are forbidden, and no one should eat them except anyone we want, and livestock that (riding on) their backs were forbidden, and livestock that they do not mention God's name over them, fabricating (lies) against Him. He is going to punish them for what they were fabricating.

waqālū hādhihi anʿāmun waḥarthun ḥij'run lā yaṭʿamuhā illā man nashāu bizaʿmihim wa-anʿāmun ḥurrimat ẓuhūruhā wa-anʿāmun lā yadhkurūna is'ma l-lahi ʿalayhā if'tirāan ʿalayhi sayajzīhim bimā kānū yaftarūn

وَقَالُوا۟ مَا فِی بُطُونِ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِ خَالِصَةࣱ لِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰۤ أَزۡوَ ٰجِنَاۖ وَإِن یَكُن مَّیۡتَةࣰ فَهُمۡ فِیهِ شُرَكَاۤءُۚ سَیَجۡزِیهِمۡ وَصۡفَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِیمٌ عَلِیمࣱ ۝١٣٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they said: “What is in the wombs of these livestock is exclusively for our men and is forbidden to our women, but if it is dead (at birth) then they are partners in it.” He is going to punish them for their description. Indeed, He is wise and knowledgeable.

waqālū mā fī buṭūni hādhihi l-anʿāmi khāliṣatun lidhukūrinā wamuḥarramun ʿalā azwājinā wa-in yakun maytatan fahum fīhi shurakāu sayajzīhim waṣfahum innahu ḥakīmun ʿalīmu

قَدۡ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِینَ قَتَلُوۤا۟ أَوۡلَـٰدَهُمۡ سَفَهَۢا بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲ وَحَرَّمُوا۟ مَا رَزَقَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱفۡتِرَاۤءً عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ قَدۡ ضَلُّوا۟ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُهۡتَدِینَ ۝١٤٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Those who foolishly killed their children without any knowledge, and forbade what God provided them fabricating (lies) against God, they have lost. They have erred and they were not guided.

qad khasira alladhīna qatalū awlādahum safahan bighayri ʿil'min waḥarramū mā razaqahumu l-lahu if'tirāan ʿalā l-lahi qad ḍallū wamā kānū muh'tadīn

17 Idolaters' Self-imposed Prohibitions

۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَنشَأَ جَنَّـٰتࣲ مَّعۡرُوشَـٰتࣲ وَغَیۡرَ مَعۡرُوشَـٰتࣲ وَٱلنَّخۡلَ وَٱلزَّرۡعَ مُخۡتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُۥ وَٱلزَّیۡتُونَ وَٱلرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَـٰبِهࣰا وَغَیۡرَ مُتَشَـٰبِهࣲۚ كُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦۤ إِذَاۤ أَثۡمَرَ وَءَاتُوا۟ حَقَّهُۥ یَوۡمَ حَصَادِهِۦۖ وَلَا تُسۡرِفُوۤا۟ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا یُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِینَ ۝١٤١

Bakhtiari Nejad

And He is the One Who created gardens trellised and non-trellised, and date palms and crops with different tastes (and fruits), and the olives and the pomegranates, like and unlike. Eat from its fruit when it bears fruit, and give its dues on the day of harvest, and do not be excessive, for indeed God does not like the excessive ones.

wahuwa alladhī ansha-a jannātin maʿrūshātin waghayra maʿrūshātin wal-nakhla wal-zarʿa mukh'talifan ukuluhu wal-zaytūna wal-rumāna mutashābihan waghayra mutashābihin kulū min thamarihi idhā athmara waātū ḥaqqahu yawma ḥaṣādihi walā tus'rifū innahu lā yuḥibbu l-mus'rifīn

وَمِنَ ٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِ حَمُولَةࣰ وَفَرۡشࣰاۚ كُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَ ٰتِ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنِۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوࣱّ مُّبِینࣱ ۝١٤٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And among the livestock are for transporting and some for covering. Eat from what God provided you and do not follow Satan's footsteps, indeed he is an obvious enemy for you.

wamina l-anʿāmi ḥamūlatan wafarshan kulū mimmā razaqakumu l-lahu walā tattabiʿū khuṭuwāti l-shayṭāni innahu lakum ʿaduwwun mubīnu

ثَمَـٰنِیَةَ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣲۖ مِّنَ ٱلضَّأۡنِ ٱثۡنَیۡنِ وَمِنَ ٱلۡمَعۡزِ ٱثۡنَیۡنِۗ قُلۡ ءَاۤلذَّكَرَیۡنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلۡأُنثَیَیۡنِ أَمَّا ٱشۡتَمَلَتۡ عَلَیۡهِ أَرۡحَامُ ٱلۡأُنثَیَیۡنِۖ نَبِّءُونِی بِعِلۡمٍ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝١٤٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

Eight in pairs (four pairs), two of the sheep and two of the goats. Say: “Has He forbidden the two males or the two females, or what is in the wombs of the two females? Tell me with knowledge if you are truthful.”

thamāniyata azwājin mina l-ḍani ith'nayni wamina l-maʿzi ith'nayni qul āldhakarayni ḥarrama ami l-unthayayni ammā ish'tamalat ʿalayhi arḥāmu l-unthayayni nabbiūnī biʿil'min in kuntum ṣādiqīn

وَمِنَ ٱلۡإِبِلِ ٱثۡنَیۡنِ وَمِنَ ٱلۡبَقَرِ ٱثۡنَیۡنِۗ قُلۡ ءَاۤلذَّكَرَیۡنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ ٱلۡأُنثَیَیۡنِ أَمَّا ٱشۡتَمَلَتۡ عَلَیۡهِ أَرۡحَامُ ٱلۡأُنثَیَیۡنِۖ أَمۡ كُنتُمۡ شُهَدَاۤءَ إِذۡ وَصَّىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِهَـٰذَاۚ فَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبࣰا لِّیُضِلَّ ٱلنَّاسَ بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یَهۡدِی ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝١٤٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And two of the camels and two of the cows. Say: “Has He forbidden the two males or the two females, or what is in the wombs of the two females? Or were you present when God instructed you to this?” Who is more wrong than someone who makes up a lie (and attributes it) to God to misguide people without any knowledge? Indeed, God does not guide the wrongdoing people.

wamina l-ibili ith'nayni wamina l-baqari ith'nayni qul āldhakarayni ḥarrama ami l-unthayayni ammā ish'tamalat ʿalayhi arḥāmu l-unthayayni am kuntum shuhadāa idh waṣṣākumu l-lahu bihādhā faman aẓlamu mimmani if'tarā ʿalā l-lahi kadhiban liyuḍilla l-nāsa bighayri ʿil'min inna l-laha lā yahdī l-qawma l-ẓālimīn

18 Prohibited Foods

قُل لَّاۤ أَجِدُ فِی مَاۤ أُوحِیَ إِلَیَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمࣲ یَطۡعَمُهُۥۤ إِلَّاۤ أَن یَكُونَ مَیۡتَةً أَوۡ دَمࣰا مَّسۡفُوحًا أَوۡ لَحۡمَ خِنزِیرࣲ فَإِنَّهُۥ رِجۡسٌ أَوۡ فِسۡقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَیۡرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦۚ فَمَنِ ٱضۡطُرَّ غَیۡرَ بَاغࣲ وَلَا عَادࣲ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝١٤٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “I do not find, in what was revealed to me, anything forbidden to an eater who eats, except if it is dead or spilled blood or pig’s meat (pork) which is filthy, or it is offered up for other than God which is indeed disobedience. And anyone who is forced without being desirous and not exceeding, then your Lord is forgiving and merciful.”

qul lā ajidu fī mā ūḥiya ilayya muḥarraman ʿalā ṭāʿimin yaṭʿamuhu illā an yakūna maytatan aw daman masfūḥan aw laḥma khinzīrin fa-innahu rij'sun aw fis'qan uhilla lighayri l-lahi bihi famani uḍ'ṭurra ghayra bāghin walā ʿādin fa-inna rabbaka ghafūrun raḥīmu

وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِینَ هَادُوا۟ حَرَّمۡنَا كُلَّ ذِی ظُفُرࣲۖ وَمِنَ ٱلۡبَقَرِ وَٱلۡغَنَمِ حَرَّمۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ شُحُومَهُمَاۤ إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتۡ ظُهُورُهُمَاۤ أَوِ ٱلۡحَوَایَاۤ أَوۡ مَا ٱخۡتَلَطَ بِعَظۡمࣲۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ جَزَیۡنَـٰهُم بِبَغۡیِهِمۡۖ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ ۝١٤٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And to the Jews, We forbade everything that has claws, and of the cow and of the sheep We forbade them their fat except what their backs carried or the intestines or what is mixed with bones. That is how We punished them for their aggression, and We are certainly truthful.

waʿalā alladhīna hādū ḥarramnā kulla dhī ẓufurin wamina l-baqari wal-ghanami ḥarramnā ʿalayhim shuḥūmahumā illā mā ḥamalat ẓuhūruhumā awi l-ḥawāyā aw mā ikh'talaṭa biʿaẓmin dhālika jazaynāhum bibaghyihim wa-innā laṣādiqūn

فَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل رَّبُّكُمۡ ذُو رَحۡمَةࣲ وَ ٰسِعَةࣲ وَلَا یُرَدُّ بَأۡسُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٤٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

If they denied you, then say: “Your Lord has plenty of mercy, but His fury is not turned back from the guilty people.”

fa-in kadhabūka faqul rabbukum dhū raḥmatin wāsiʿatin walā yuraddu basuhu ʿani l-qawmi l-muj'rimīn

سَیَقُولُ ٱلَّذِینَ أَشۡرَكُوا۟ لَوۡ شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ مَاۤ أَشۡرَكۡنَا وَلَاۤ ءَابَاۤؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمۡنَا مِن شَیۡءࣲۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ حَتَّىٰ ذَاقُوا۟ بَأۡسَنَاۗ قُلۡ هَلۡ عِندَكُم مِّنۡ عِلۡمࣲ فَتُخۡرِجُوهُ لَنَاۤۖ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا تَخۡرُصُونَ ۝١٤٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

Those who have associated (any partner with God) are going to say: “If God wanted, we and our fathers would not have associated (partners with Him), and we would not have forbidden anything.” That is how those before them lied until they tasted Our fury. Say: “Is there any knowledge with you? Bring it out for us, you follow nothing but speculation and you only guess.”

sayaqūlu alladhīna ashrakū law shāa l-lahu mā ashraknā walā ābāunā walā ḥarramnā min shayin kadhālika kadhaba alladhīna min qablihim ḥattā dhāqū basanā qul hal ʿindakum min ʿil'min fatukh'rijūhu lanā in tattabiʿūna illā l-ẓana wa-in antum illā takhruṣūn

قُلۡ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡحُجَّةُ ٱلۡبَـٰلِغَةُۖ فَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ لَهَدَىٰكُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝١٤٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “The profound reason belongs to God, so if He wanted He would have guided you all.”

qul falillahi l-ḥujatu l-bālighatu falaw shāa lahadākum ajmaʿīn

قُلۡ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَاۤءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِینَ یَشۡهَدُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَرَّمَ هَـٰذَاۖ فَإِن شَهِدُوا۟ فَلَا تَشۡهَدۡ مَعَهُمۡۚ وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ أَهۡوَاۤءَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا وَٱلَّذِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ وَهُم بِرَبِّهِمۡ یَعۡدِلُونَ ۝١٥٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Get your witnesses together, those who testify that God forbade this.” If they testify, then do not testify with them, and do not follow the desires of those who denied Our signs and those who do not believe in the Hereafter and they set up equals with their Lord.

qul halumma shuhadāakumu alladhīna yashhadūna anna l-laha ḥarrama hādhā fa-in shahidū falā tashhad maʿahum walā tattabiʿ ahwāa alladhīna kadhabū biāyātinā wa-alladhīna lā yu'minūna bil-ākhirati wahum birabbihim yaʿdilūn

19 Guiding Rules of Life

۞ قُلۡ تَعَالَوۡا۟ أَتۡلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمۡ عَلَیۡكُمۡۖ أَلَّا تُشۡرِكُوا۟ بِهِۦ شَیۡءࣰاۖ وَبِٱلۡوَ ٰلِدَیۡنِ إِحۡسَـٰنࣰاۖ وَلَا تَقۡتُلُوۤا۟ أَوۡلَـٰدَكُم مِّنۡ إِمۡلَـٰقࣲ نَّحۡنُ نَرۡزُقُكُمۡ وَإِیَّاهُمۡۖ وَلَا تَقۡرَبُوا۟ ٱلۡفَوَ ٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَمَا بَطَنَۖ وَلَا تَقۡتُلُوا۟ ٱلنَّفۡسَ ٱلَّتِی حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ ذَ ٰلِكُمۡ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝١٥١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Come, I read you what your Lord declared as inviolable to you, do not associate anything with Him, and be good to your parents, and do not kill your children because of poverty as We provide for you and for them, and do not go near indecencies whether it is apparent or it is secret, and do not kill anyone except justifiably (in due process of law) as God made it (life) sacred. This is what He instructed you to it, so that you may understand.”

qul taʿālaw atlu mā ḥarrama rabbukum ʿalaykum allā tush'rikū bihi shayan wabil-wālidayni iḥ'sānan walā taqtulū awlādakum min im'lāqin naḥnu narzuqukum wa-iyyāhum walā taqrabū l-fawāḥisha mā ẓahara min'hā wamā baṭana walā taqtulū l-nafsa allatī ḥarrama l-lahu illā bil-ḥaqi dhālikum waṣṣākum bihi laʿallakum taʿqilūn

وَلَا تَقۡرَبُوا۟ مَالَ ٱلۡیَتِیمِ إِلَّا بِٱلَّتِی هِیَ أَحۡسَنُ حَتَّىٰ یَبۡلُغَ أَشُدَّهُۥۚ وَأَوۡفُوا۟ ٱلۡكَیۡلَ وَٱلۡمِیزَانَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفۡسًا إِلَّا وُسۡعَهَاۖ وَإِذَا قُلۡتُمۡ فَٱعۡدِلُوا۟ وَلَوۡ كَانَ ذَا قُرۡبَىٰۖ وَبِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡفُوا۟ۚ ذَ ٰلِكُمۡ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝١٥٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And do not go near the property of orphans except in the best way until he reaches his maturity, and give measure and weight with justice. We do not task anyone beyond its capability. And when you speak, be just, even if it is about your relatives (and close ones). And fulfill your promise to God. This is what He instructed you to it so that you may take notice.

walā taqrabū māla l-yatīmi illā bi-allatī hiya aḥsanu ḥattā yablugha ashuddahu wa-awfū l-kayla wal-mīzāna bil-qis'ṭi lā nukallifu nafsan illā wus'ʿahā wa-idhā qul'tum fa-iʿ'dilū walaw kāna dhā qur'bā wabiʿahdi l-lahi awfū dhālikum waṣṣākum bihi laʿallakum tadhakkarūn

وَأَنَّ هَـٰذَا صِرَ ٰطِی مُسۡتَقِیمࣰا فَٱتَّبِعُوهُۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلسُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمۡ عَن سَبِیلِهِۦۚ ذَ ٰلِكُمۡ وَصَّىٰكُم بِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٥٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And this is My straight path, so follow it and do not follow other ways, for they separate you from His way. This is what He instructed you to it so that you may be cautious (of God).

wa-anna hādhā ṣirāṭī mus'taqīman fa-ittabiʿūhu walā tattabiʿū l-subula fatafarraqa bikum ʿan sabīlihi dhālikum waṣṣākum bihi laʿallakum tattaqūn

ثُمَّ ءَاتَیۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ تَمَامًا عَلَى ٱلَّذِیۤ أَحۡسَنَ وَتَفۡصِیلࣰا لِّكُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَهُدࣰى وَرَحۡمَةࣰ لَّعَلَّهُم بِلِقَاۤءِ رَبِّهِمۡ یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝١٥٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

We gave Moses the book to finish (Our favor) upon the one who did good, and as an explanation for everything and a guide and a mercy so they may believe in meeting their Lord.

thumma ātaynā mūsā l-kitāba tamāman ʿalā alladhī aḥsana watafṣīlan likulli shayin wahudan waraḥmatan laʿallahum biliqāi rabbihim yu'minūn

20 Goal for the Faithful

وَهَـٰذَا كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُ مُبَارَكࣱ فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ ۝١٥٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And this book (Quran) which We have sent it down is blessed, so follow it and be cautious (of God) so you may receive mercy,

wahādhā kitābun anzalnāhu mubārakun fa-ittabiʿūhu wa-ittaqū laʿallakum tur'ḥamūn

أَن تَقُولُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَاۤ أُنزِلَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبُ عَلَىٰ طَاۤىِٕفَتَیۡنِ مِن قَبۡلِنَا وَإِن كُنَّا عَن دِرَاسَتِهِمۡ لَغَـٰفِلِینَ ۝١٥٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

and so that you do not say: “The book was only sent down to two groups before us, and we were certainly unaware of their studies.”

an taqūlū innamā unzila l-kitābu ʿalā ṭāifatayni min qablinā wa-in kunnā ʿan dirāsatihim laghāfilīn

أَوۡ تَقُولُوا۟ لَوۡ أَنَّاۤ أُنزِلَ عَلَیۡنَا ٱلۡكِتَـٰبُ لَكُنَّاۤ أَهۡدَىٰ مِنۡهُمۡۚ فَقَدۡ جَاۤءَكُم بَیِّنَةࣱ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَهُدࣰى وَرَحۡمَةࣱۚ فَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَّبَ بِءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنۡهَاۗ سَنَجۡزِی ٱلَّذِینَ یَصۡدِفُونَ عَنۡ ءَایَـٰتِنَا سُوۤءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَصۡدِفُونَ ۝١٥٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

Or you do not say: “If the book was sent down to us, we would have certainly been more guided than them.” A clear evidence and a guide and a mercy has come to you from your Lord. So, who is more wrong than someone who denies God’s signs and turns away from them? We are going to punish those who turn away from Our signs, a bad punishment for what they were turning away from.

aw taqūlū law annā unzila ʿalaynā l-kitābu lakunnā ahdā min'hum faqad jāakum bayyinatun min rabbikum wahudan waraḥmatun faman aẓlamu mimman kadhaba biāyāti l-lahi waṣadafa ʿanhā sanajzī alladhīna yaṣdifūna ʿan āyātinā sūa l-ʿadhābi bimā kānū yaṣdifūn

هَلۡ یَنظُرُونَ إِلَّاۤ أَن تَأۡتِیَهُمُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ أَوۡ یَأۡتِیَ رَبُّكَ أَوۡ یَأۡتِیَ بَعۡضُ ءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّكَۗ یَوۡمَ یَأۡتِی بَعۡضُ ءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّكَ لَا یَنفَعُ نَفۡسًا إِیمَـٰنُهَا لَمۡ تَكُنۡ ءَامَنَتۡ مِن قَبۡلُ أَوۡ كَسَبَتۡ فِیۤ إِیمَـٰنِهَا خَیۡرࣰاۗ قُلِ ٱنتَظِرُوۤا۟ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ ۝١٥٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

Are they waiting for the angels to come to them or your Lord to come or some of your Lord's signs to come? The day when some of your Lord's signs come, a person will not benefit from its belief if it did not believe from before or if it did not earn any good by its belief. Say: “Wait, indeed we are waiting too.”

hal yanẓurūna illā an tatiyahumu l-malāikatu aw yatiya rabbuka aw yatiya baʿḍu āyāti rabbika yawma yatī baʿḍu āyāti rabbika lā yanfaʿu nafsan īmānuhā lam takun āmanat min qablu aw kasabat fī īmānihā khayran quli intaẓirū innā muntaẓirūn

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِینَهُمۡ وَكَانُوا۟ شِیَعࣰا لَّسۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ فِی شَیۡءٍۚ إِنَّمَاۤ أَمۡرُهُمۡ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ یُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡعَلُونَ ۝١٥٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

Indeed, those who divided their religion and became sects, you have nothing to do with them. Their affair is only with God, then He informs them of what they were doing.

inna alladhīna farraqū dīnahum wakānū shiyaʿan lasta min'hum fī shayin innamā amruhum ilā l-lahi thumma yunabbi-uhum bimā kānū yafʿalūn

مَن جَاۤءَ بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ عَشۡرُ أَمۡثَالِهَاۖ وَمَن جَاۤءَ بِٱلسَّیِّئَةِ فَلَا یُجۡزَىٰۤ إِلَّا مِثۡلَهَا وَهُمۡ لَا یُظۡلَمُونَ ۝١٦٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Whoever comes with a good deed, he has ten times as much as that, and whoever comes with a bad deed, then he is only punished like that, and they are not wronged.

man jāa bil-ḥasanati falahu ʿashru amthālihā waman jāa bil-sayi-ati falā yuj'zā illā mith'lahā wahum lā yuẓ'lamūn

قُلۡ إِنَّنِی هَدَىٰنِی رَبِّیۤ إِلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ دِینࣰا قِیَمࣰا مِّلَّةَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ حَنِیفࣰاۚ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ ۝١٦١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Indeed my Lord guided me to a straight path, a lasting (and right) way of life (religion), the faith of Abraham, a true believer and he was not of the idolaters.”

qul innanī hadānī rabbī ilā ṣirāṭin mus'taqīmin dīnan qiyaman millata ib'rāhīma ḥanīfan wamā kāna mina l-mush'rikīn

قُلۡ إِنَّ صَلَاتِی وَنُسُكِی وَمَحۡیَایَ وَمَمَاتِی لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٦٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Indeed my mandatory prayer and my ritual and my life and my death are for God alone, the Lord of humankind,

qul inna ṣalātī wanusukī wamaḥyāya wamamātī lillahi rabbi l-ʿālamīn

لَا شَرِیكَ لَهُۥۖ وَبِذَ ٰلِكَ أُمِرۡتُ وَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِینَ ۝١٦٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

there is no partner for Him, and I am ordered to that, and I am the first of (or the best of) the submitted.”

lā sharīka lahu wabidhālika umir'tu wa-anā awwalu l-mus'limīn

قُلۡ أَغَیۡرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبۡغِی رَبࣰّا وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲۚ وَلَا تَكۡسِبُ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ إِلَّا عَلَیۡهَاۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةࣱ وِزۡرَ أُخۡرَىٰۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَیُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ فِیهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ ۝١٦٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Shall I look for a Lord other than God, while He is the Lord of everything?” And every person earns only for itself, and no bearer bears the burden of another, so your return is to your Lord and then He informs you about what you used to disagree about.

qul aghayra l-lahi abghī rabban wahuwa rabbu kulli shayin walā taksibu kullu nafsin illā ʿalayhā walā taziru wāziratun wiz'ra ukh'rā thumma ilā rabbikum marjiʿukum fayunabbi-ukum bimā kuntum fīhi takhtalifūn

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی جَعَلَكُمۡ خَلَـٰۤىِٕفَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعۡضَكُمۡ فَوۡقَ بَعۡضࣲ دَرَجَـٰتࣲ لِّیَبۡلُوَكُمۡ فِی مَاۤ ءَاتَىٰكُمۡۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَغَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمُۢ ۝١٦٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

He is the One Who made you successors on the earth, and raised some of you above others in ranks, to test you by what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is quick in punishment, and He is forgiving and merciful.

wahuwa alladhī jaʿalakum khalāifa l-arḍi warafaʿa baʿḍakum fawqa baʿḍin darajātin liyabluwakum fī mā ātākum inna rabbaka sarīʿu l-ʿiqābi wa-innahu laghafūrun raḥīmu
