Every soul that has done evil, if it possessed all that is on the earth, would gladly offer it as ransom. When they see the punishment, they will repent in secret, but they will be judged with justice and will not be wronged

وَلَوۡ أَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفۡسࣲ ظَلَمَتۡ مَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَٱفۡتَدَتۡ بِهِۦۗ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَۖ وَقُضِیَ بَیۡنَهُم بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَهُمۡ لَا یُظۡلَمُونَ ۝٥٤

walaw anna likulli nafsin ẓalamat mā fī l-arḍi la-if'tadat bihi wa-asarrū l-nadāmata lammā ra-awū l-ʿadhāba waquḍiya baynahum bil-qis'ṭi wahum lā yuẓ'lamūn
