فَأَنجَیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ كَانَتۡ مِنَ ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ ٨٣
fa-anjaynāhu wa-ahlahu illā im'ra-atahu kānat mina l-ghābirīn
We saved him and his kinsfolk- apart from his wife who stayed behind
Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was among those who stayed behind.
Then We delivered him and his household, save his wife: she was among the lingerers
But We saved him and his family, except for his wife who was one of those who stayed behind
So We saved him and his people... except his wife! She stayed behind and was of those who were caved-in!
So We rescued him and his family — except for his wife. She was one of those who stayed behind.
