Abraham 14:6

سُوٓءَ sūa

ٱلْعَذَابِ l-ʿadhābi

وَيُذَبِّحُونَ wayudhabbiḥūna
and were slaughtering V
أَبْنَآءَكُمْ abnāakum
your sons Noun
وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ wayastaḥyūna
and letting live V
نِسَآءَكُمْ nisāakum
your women Noun
وَفِى wafī
And in Prep
ذَٰلِكُم dhālikum
that Noun
بَلَآءٌ balāon
(was) a trial Noun
مِّن min
from Prep
رَّبِّكُمْ rabbikum
your Lord Noun
عَظِيمٌ ʿaẓīmun
great Noun

And so Moses said to his people, ‘Remember God’s blessing on you when He saved you from Pharaoh’s people, who were inflicting terrible suffering on you, slaughtering your sons and sparing only your women––that was a severe test from your Lord

وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِ ٱذۡكُرُوا۟ نِعۡمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡكُمۡ إِذۡ أَنجَىٰكُم مِّنۡ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ یَسُومُونَكُمۡ سُوۤءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ وَیُذَبِّحُونَ أَبۡنَاۤءَكُمۡ وَیَسۡتَحۡیُونَ نِسَاۤءَكُمۡۚ وَفِی ذَ ٰلِكُم بَلَاۤءࣱ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِیمࣱ ۝٦

wa-idh qāla mūsā liqawmihi udh'kurū niʿ'mata l-lahi ʿalaykum idh anjākum min āli fir'ʿawna yasūmūnakum sūa l-ʿadhābi wayudhabbiḥūna abnāakum wayastaḥyūna nisāakum wafī dhālikum balāon min rabbikum ʿaẓīmu
