Hud — Dr Mohammad Tahir Ul Qadri Translation

Alif, Lam, Ra. (Only Allah and the Messenger [blessings and peace be upon him] know the real meaning. This) is (that) Book whose Verses are firmly founded; then they have been explained in detail by (the Lord) Who is All-Wise, All-Aware

alif-lam-ra kitābun uḥ'kimat āyātuhu thumma fuṣṣilat min ladun ḥakīmin khabīri

11:2

أَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوۤا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّنِی لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِیرࣱ وَبَشِیرࣱ ۝٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

That do not worship anyone but Allah. Verily, I am a Warner from Him (Allah) to you and a Bearer of glad tidings

allā taʿbudū illā l-laha innanī lakum min'hu nadhīrun wabashīru

11:3

وَأَنِ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِ یُمَتِّعۡكُم مَّتَـٰعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّى وَیُؤۡتِ كُلَّ ذِی فَضۡلࣲ فَضۡلَهُۥۖ وَإِن تَوَلَّوۡا۟ فَإِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمࣲ كَبِیرٍ ۝٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And that you should seek forgiveness from your Lord, then repent before Him (with true hearts). He will keep you glad and gratified with an excellent provision till an appointed term, and will reward for merit everyone enjoying merit (i.e., He will bestow reward and ranks corresponding to one’s amount of righteous deeds and dedicated services). And if you turn away, then I fear for you the torment of a Mighty Day

wa-ani is'taghfirū rabbakum thumma tūbū ilayhi yumattiʿ'kum matāʿan ḥasanan ilā ajalin musamman wayu'ti kulla dhī faḍlin faḍlahu wa-in tawallaw fa-innī akhāfu ʿalaykum ʿadhāba yawmin kabīri

11:4

إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرٌ ۝٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

You are to return to Allah and He has mighty control over everything

ilā l-lahi marjiʿukum wahuwa ʿalā kulli shayin qadīru

11:5

أَلَاۤ إِنَّهُمۡ یَثۡنُونَ صُدُورَهُمۡ لِیَسۡتَخۡفُوا۟ مِنۡهُۚ أَلَا حِینَ یَسۡتَغۡشُونَ ثِیَابَهُمۡ یَعۡلَمُ مَا یُسِرُّونَ وَمَا یُعۡلِنُونَۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ ۝٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Bear in mind! These (disbelievers) fold up their breasts so that they may hide (the state of their hearts) from Him (Allah). Beware! When they cover (their bodies) with their clothes, (even then) He knows all those matters which they hide and which they lay open. Surely, He knows best (the secrets of) the hearts

alā innahum yathnūna ṣudūrahum liyastakhfū min'hu alā ḥīna yastaghshūna thiyābahum yaʿlamu mā yusirrūna wamā yuʿ'linūna innahu ʿalīmun bidhāti l-ṣudūr

11:6

۞ وَمَا مِن دَاۤبَّةࣲ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رِزۡقُهَا وَیَعۡلَمُ مُسۡتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسۡتَوۡدَعَهَاۚ كُلࣱّ فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And there is no moving creature (living being) on the earth but (that) its sustenance is (a bountiful obligation) upon Allah. And He knows its resting-place and (also) the place where it is to be entrusted. Everything is (recorded) in the enlightening Book (the Protected Tablet [al-Lawh al-Mahfuz])

wamā min dābbatin fī l-arḍi illā ʿalā l-lahi riz'quhā wayaʿlamu mus'taqarrahā wamus'tawdaʿahā kullun fī kitābin mubīni

11:7

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِی سِتَّةِ أَیَّامࣲ وَكَانَ عَرۡشُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلۡمَاۤءِ لِیَبۡلُوَكُمۡ أَیُّكُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ عَمَلࣰاۗ وَلَىِٕن قُلۡتَ إِنَّكُم مَّبۡعُوثُونَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ لَیَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا سِحۡرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And He (Allah) is the One Who created the heavens and the earth (the higher and the lower strata of the universe) in six days (i.e., six phases or aeons of creation and evolution). And (before the creation of the earth) His Throne of Authority operated on water, (and from that He brought forth all manifestations of life and created you,) so that He put you to trial to evaluate which of you would be best in action. And if you say: ‘You will be raised after death,’ the disbelievers will certainly say: ‘This is nothing (else) but an obvious magic.

wahuwa alladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa fī sittati ayyāmin wakāna ʿarshuhu ʿalā l-māi liyabluwakum ayyukum aḥsanu ʿamalan wala-in qul'ta innakum mabʿūthūna min baʿdi l-mawti layaqūlanna alladhīna kafarū in hādhā illā siḥ'run mubīnu

11:8

وَلَىِٕنۡ أَخَّرۡنَا عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ إِلَىٰۤ أُمَّةࣲ مَّعۡدُودَةࣲ لَّیَقُولُنَّ مَا یَحۡبِسُهُۥۤۗ أَلَا یَوۡمَ یَأۡتِیهِمۡ لَیۡسَ مَصۡرُوفًا عَنۡهُمۡ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And if We defer their torment for a few fixed days, they will definitely say: ‘What has held it back?’ Beware! The day when that (torment) comes upon them, (then) that will not be averted from them, and that (chastisement) which they used to make fun of will beset them

wala-in akharnā ʿanhumu l-ʿadhāba ilā ummatin maʿdūdatin layaqūlunna mā yaḥbisuhu alā yawma yatīhim laysa maṣrūfan ʿanhum waḥāqa bihim mā kānū bihi yastahziūn

11:9

وَلَىِٕنۡ أَذَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِنَّا رَحۡمَةࣰ ثُمَّ نَزَعۡنَـٰهَا مِنۡهُ إِنَّهُۥ لَیَءُوسࣱ كَفُورࣱ ۝٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And if We make man taste mercy from Us, then withdraw it from him (for some reason), he becomes highly disappointed (and) ungrateful

wala-in adhaqnā l-insāna minnā raḥmatan thumma nazaʿnāhā min'hu innahu layaūsun kafūru

11:10

وَلَىِٕنۡ أَذَقۡنَـٰهُ نَعۡمَاۤءَ بَعۡدَ ضَرَّاۤءَ مَسَّتۡهُ لَیَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ ٱلسَّیِّءَاتُ عَنِّیۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَفَرِحࣱ فَخُورٌ ۝١٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And if We make him taste (some) favour after the suffering that afflicted him, then he is sure to say: ‘Gone are all my troubles.’ Surely, he (becomes) most exultant and boastful

wala-in adhaqnāhu naʿmāa baʿda ḍarrāa massathu layaqūlanna dhahaba l-sayiātu ʿannī innahu lafariḥun fakhūru

11:11

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣱ وَأَجۡرࣱ كَبِیرࣱ ۝١١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Except for those who remain steadfast and continue doing pious deeds. For them is forgiveness and great reward

illā alladhīna ṣabarū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti ulāika lahum maghfiratun wa-ajrun kabīru

11:12

فَلَعَلَّكَ تَارِكُۢ بَعۡضَ مَا یُوحَىٰۤ إِلَیۡكَ وَضَاۤىِٕقُۢ بِهِۦ صَدۡرُكَ أَن یَقُولُوا۟ لَوۡلَاۤ أُنزِلَ عَلَیۡهِ كَنزٌ أَوۡ جَاۤءَ مَعَهُۥ مَلَكٌۚ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ نَذِیرࣱۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَكِیلٌ ۝١٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

How may it be that you omit a portion of what has been revealed to you, and that your (sanctified) breast feels straitened (by the idea that) the disbelievers say: ‘Why has any treasure not been sent down to him (the Messenger [blessings and peace be upon him]), or why has any angel not come with him’? (O Glorious Messenger! That is impossible.) You are but a Warner. (You are neither to tempt someone nor persecute.) And Allah is a Guardian over everything

falaʿallaka tārikun baʿḍa mā yūḥā ilayka waḍāiqun bihi ṣadruka an yaqūlū lawlā unzila ʿalayhi kanzun aw jāa maʿahu malakun innamā anta nadhīrun wal-lahu ʿalā kulli shayin wakīlu

11:13

أَمۡ یَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ فَأۡتُوا۟ بِعَشۡرِ سُوَرࣲ مِّثۡلِهِۦ مُفۡتَرَیَـٰتࣲ وَٱدۡعُوا۟ مَنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝١٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Do the disbelievers say: ‘The Messenger has fabricated this (Qur’an) himself’? Say: ‘Bring then ten forged Chapters like this, and call (to your help) whom you can except Allah if you are truthful.

am yaqūlūna if'tarāhu qul fatū biʿashri suwarin mith'lihi muf'tarayātin wa-id'ʿū mani is'taṭaʿtum min dūni l-lahi in kuntum ṣādiqīn

11:14

فَإِلَّمۡ یَسۡتَجِیبُوا۟ لَكُمۡ فَٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّمَاۤ أُنزِلَ بِعِلۡمِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَن لَّاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ فَهَلۡ أَنتُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ ۝١٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(O Muslims!) So, if they do not accept your challenge, then firmly believe that the Qur’an has been revealed with Allah’s knowledge, and that there is no other God but He. So, will you (now) stick to Islam (firm-footed)

fa-illam yastajībū lakum fa-iʿ'lamū annamā unzila biʿil'mi l-lahi wa-an lā ilāha illā huwa fahal antum mus'limūn

11:15

مَن كَانَ یُرِیدُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَزِینَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَیۡهِمۡ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ فِیهَا وَهُمۡ فِیهَا لَا یُبۡخَسُونَ ۝١٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Those who lust after the worldly life (only) with its beauty (and embellishment), We pay them back in full for their works here in this world, and their (worldly recompense) is not diminished in the least

man kāna yurīdu l-ḥayata l-dun'yā wazīnatahā nuwaffi ilayhim aʿmālahum fīhā wahum fīhā lā yub'khasūn

11:16

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَیۡسَ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ إِلَّا ٱلنَّارُۖ وَحَبِطَ مَا صَنَعُوا۟ فِیهَا وَبَـٰطِلࣱ مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

They are the people for whom there is no (share) in the Hereafter except the Fire (of Hell). And (as for reward in the Hereafter) all (the works) they did in the world have come to nothing, and (all that) they used to do is null and void (because their account is cleared by paying them in full measure in the life of the world, and nothing remains in their balance for the Hereafter)

ulāika alladhīna laysa lahum fī l-ākhirati illā l-nāru waḥabiṭa mā ṣanaʿū fīhā wabāṭilun mā kānū yaʿmalūn

11:17

أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ وَیَتۡلُوهُ شَاهِدࣱ مِّنۡهُ وَمِن قَبۡلِهِۦ كِتَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰۤ إِمَامࣰا وَرَحۡمَةًۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦۚ وَمَن یَكۡفُرۡ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ فَٱلنَّارُ مَوۡعِدُهُۥۚ فَلَا تَكُ فِی مِرۡیَةࣲ مِّنۡهُۚ إِنَّهُ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝١٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

He who holds fast to a clear proof from his Lord, and a testimony (the Qur’an) too has come from his Lord for his strength and support, and prior to that the Book of Musa ([Moses], the Torah), a guide and a mercy (too had come)—so, it is they who believe in it (the Qur’an). Can (such a person be equal to) the one who denies (the Qur’an) from amongst (the disbelieving) sects, whilst his abode is the Fire of Hell? So, (O listener,) be not in any doubt about it. Surely, this (Qur’an) is the truth from your Lord, but most people do not believe

afaman kāna ʿalā bayyinatin min rabbihi wayatlūhu shāhidun min'hu wamin qablihi kitābu mūsā imāman waraḥmatan ulāika yu'minūna bihi waman yakfur bihi mina l-aḥzābi fal-nāru mawʿiduhu falā taku fī mir'yatin min'hu innahu l-ḥaqu min rabbika walākinna akthara l-nāsi lā yu'minūn

11:18

وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ یُعۡرَضُونَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ وَیَقُولُ ٱلۡأَشۡهَـٰدُ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ ٱلَّذِینَ كَذَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡۚ أَلَا لَعۡنَةُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝١٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And who can be a greater wrongdoer than the one who fabricates a lie against Allah? Such people will be brought before their Lord and the witnesses will say: ‘These are the ones who foisted a lie upon their Lord.’ Know that Allah’s curse is upon the wrongdoers

waman aẓlamu mimmani if'tarā ʿalā l-lahi kadhiban ulāika yuʿ'raḍūna ʿalā rabbihim wayaqūlu l-ashhādu hāulāi alladhīna kadhabū ʿalā rabbihim alā laʿnatu l-lahi ʿalā l-ẓālimīn

11:19

ٱلَّذِینَ یَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَیَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجࣰا وَهُم بِٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ هُمۡ كَـٰفِرُونَ ۝١٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Those who hinder (others) from the path of Allah and look for crookedness in it. And it is they who deny the Hereafter

alladhīna yaṣuddūna ʿan sabīli l-lahi wayabghūnahā ʿiwajan wahum bil-ākhirati hum kāfirūn

11:20

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَمۡ یَكُونُوا۟ مُعۡجِزِینَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِنۡ أَوۡلِیَاۤءَۘ یُضَـٰعَفُ لَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ یُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٢٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

They have no capability at all to frustrate (Allah) on earth, nor are there any helpers for them apart from Allah. The torment will be doubled for them (because) they had neither courage to hear (the truth) nor vision to see (it)

ulāika lam yakūnū muʿ'jizīna fī l-arḍi wamā kāna lahum min dūni l-lahi min awliyāa yuḍāʿafu lahumu l-ʿadhābu mā kānū yastaṭīʿūna l-samʿa wamā kānū yub'ṣirūn

11:21

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ خَسِرُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡتَرُونَ ۝٢١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

It is they who ruined their souls, and the lies they used to invent are (all) gone from them

ulāika alladhīna khasirū anfusahum waḍalla ʿanhum mā kānū yaftarūn

11:22

لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَ ۝٢٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

This is absolutely true that it is certainly they who will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter

lā jarama annahum fī l-ākhirati humu l-akhsarūn

11:23

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَأَخۡبَتُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ هُمۡ فِیهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ ۝٢٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Verily, those who believe and persist in pious works and humble themselves before their Lord, it is they who are the people of Paradise. They will live there forever

inna alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti wa-akhbatū ilā rabbihim ulāika aṣḥābu l-janati hum fīhā khālidūn

11:24

۞ مَثَلُ ٱلۡفَرِیقَیۡنِ كَٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ وَٱلۡأَصَمِّ وَٱلۡبَصِیرِ وَٱلسَّمِیعِۚ هَلۡ یَسۡتَوِیَانِ مَثَلًاۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٢٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

The example of the two parties (the disbelievers and the believers) is like the blind and the deaf (versus) the seeing and the hearing. Are both cases equal? Will you not take advice (even) then

mathalu l-farīqayni kal-aʿmā wal-aṣami wal-baṣīri wal-samīʿi hal yastawiyāni mathalan afalā tadhakkarūn

11:25

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦۤ إِنِّی لَكُمۡ نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینٌ ۝٢٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And surely, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people. (He said to them:) ‘I am (raised and appointed as) a plain Warner to you

walaqad arsalnā nūḥan ilā qawmihi innī lakum nadhīrun mubīnu

11:26

أَن لَّا تَعۡبُدُوۤا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَۖ إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ أَلِیمࣲ ۝٢٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

That you worship none but Allah. Indeed, I fear the torment of a grievous day (coming) upon you.

an lā taʿbudū illā l-laha innī akhāfu ʿalaykum ʿadhāba yawmin alīmi

11:27

فَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوۡمِهِۦ مَا نَرَىٰكَ إِلَّا بَشَرࣰا مِّثۡلَنَا وَمَا نَرَىٰكَ ٱتَّبَعَكَ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ هُمۡ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِیَ ٱلرَّأۡیِ وَمَا نَرَىٰ لَكُمۡ عَلَیۡنَا مِن فَضۡلِۭ بَلۡ نَظُنُّكُمۡ كَـٰذِبِینَ ۝٢٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

So the disbelieving chiefs and nobles of his people said: ‘You appear to us but a human like ourselves, and we have not seen any (honourable person) following you except the most inferior and lowest of (our society) having superficial opinion (who have become your followers without using discretion). Nor do we find in you any merit and superiority over us (i.e., power and authority, wealth and riches, or the worthy people joining your party, or for that matter, any such prominent feature). Instead, we consider you to be liars.

faqāla l-mala-u alladhīna kafarū min qawmihi mā narāka illā basharan mith'lanā wamā narāka ittabaʿaka illā alladhīna hum arādhilunā bādiya l-rayi wamā narā lakum ʿalaynā min faḍlin bal naẓunnukum kādhibīn

11:28

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّی وَءَاتَىٰنِی رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنۡ عِندِهِۦ فَعُمِّیَتۡ عَلَیۡكُمۡ أَنُلۡزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنتُمۡ لَهَا كَـٰرِهُونَ ۝٢٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Nuh (Noah) said: ‘O my people, what is your view: if I stick to a clear proof from my Lord and He has also granted me His (exceptional) mercy from Himself, but that has been veiled from you (like the blind), can we force it upon you coercively whilst you despise it

qāla yāqawmi ara-aytum in kuntu ʿalā bayyinatin min rabbī waātānī raḥmatan min ʿindihi faʿummiyat ʿalaykum anul'zimukumūhā wa-antum lahā kārihūn

11:29

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ لَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مَالًاۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ۚ إِنَّهُم مُّلَـٰقُوا۟ رَبِّهِمۡ وَلَـٰكِنِّیۤ أَرَىٰكُمۡ قَوۡمࣰا تَجۡهَلُونَ ۝٢٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And, O my people, I do not (also) demand from you any wealth for (promoting and preaching this message). My reward is only (a bountiful obligation) upon Allah. Nor shall I drive away (for your sake) these (poor and backward) people who have accepted faith. (Do not consider them inferior; it is they who are in fact superior and respectable.) Surely, they are those who will be blessed with meeting with their Lord, and truly I find you an ignorant (and insensible) people

wayāqawmi lā asalukum ʿalayhi mālan in ajriya illā ʿalā l-lahi wamā anā biṭāridi alladhīna āmanū innahum mulāqū rabbihim walākinnī arākum qawman tajhalūn

11:30

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ مَن یَنصُرُنِی مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِن طَرَدتُّهُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٣٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And, O my people, if I drive them away, then who will come to my help (to rescue me) from (the wrath of) Allah? Do you not reflect

wayāqawmi man yanṣurunī mina l-lahi in ṭaradttuhum afalā tadhakkarūn

11:31

وَلَاۤ أَقُولُ لَكُمۡ عِندِی خَزَاۤىِٕنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَاۤ أَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡغَیۡبَ وَلَاۤ أَقُولُ إِنِّی مَلَكࣱ وَلَاۤ أَقُولُ لِلَّذِینَ تَزۡدَرِیۤ أَعۡیُنُكُمۡ لَن یُؤۡتِیَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ خَیۡرًاۖ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا فِیۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ إِنِّیۤ إِذࣰا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٣١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And I do not say (this) to you: I have treasures of Allah (i.e., I am a wealthy person); nor do I know of the unseen on my own (without Allah’s Revelation). Nor do I say: I am an angel (not a man. My message is not based on charismatic claims). Nor do I say pertaining to those who are inferior in your eyes: Allah will not award them any good at all (that is Allah’s command and everyone’s share). Allah knows best what is in their hearts. (If I were to say that,) surely I shall be amongst the wrongdoers the same moment.

walā aqūlu lakum ʿindī khazāinu l-lahi walā aʿlamu l-ghayba walā aqūlu innī malakun walā aqūlu lilladhīna tazdarī aʿyunukum lan yu'tiyahumu l-lahu khayran l-lahu aʿlamu bimā fī anfusihim innī idhan lamina l-ẓālimīn

11:32

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰنُوحُ قَدۡ جَـٰدَلۡتَنَا فَأَكۡثَرۡتَ جِدَ ٰلَنَا فَأۡتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَاۤ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝٣٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

They said: ‘O Nuh (Noah), indeed you have disputed with us and disputed much. So now bring upon us that (torment) which you promise us if you are (really) truthful.

qālū yānūḥu qad jādaltanā fa-aktharta jidālanā fatinā bimā taʿidunā in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn

11:33

قَالَ إِنَّمَا یَأۡتِیكُم بِهِ ٱللَّهُ إِن شَاۤءَ وَمَاۤ أَنتُم بِمُعۡجِزِینَ ۝٣٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Nuh (Noah) said: ‘Allah alone will bring upon you that (torment) if He so wills and you cannot hinder (Him)

qāla innamā yatīkum bihi l-lahu in shāa wamā antum bimuʿ'jizīn

11:34

وَلَا یَنفَعُكُمۡ نُصۡحِیۤ إِنۡ أَرَدتُّ أَنۡ أَنصَحَ لَكُمۡ إِن كَانَ ٱللَّهُ یُرِیدُ أَن یُغۡوِیَكُمۡۚ هُوَ رَبُّكُمۡ وَإِلَیۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ۝٣٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And even if I resolve to counsel you, my counsel (too) will not benefit you if Allah wills to lead you astray. He is your Lord and you will be returned to Him alone.

walā yanfaʿukum nuṣ'ḥī in aradttu an anṣaḥa lakum in kāna l-lahu yurīdu an yugh'wiyakum huwa rabbukum wa-ilayhi tur'jaʿūn

11:35

أَمۡ یَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ إِنِ ٱفۡتَرَیۡتُهُۥ فَعَلَیَّ إِجۡرَامِی وَأَنَا۠ بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٣٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(O Glorious Messenger!) Do they say: ‘The Messenger has fabricated this (Qur’an) himself’? Say: ‘If I have fabricated it, then I shall have to bear (the resulting torment of) my sin. And I am free of the sin that you are perpetrating.

am yaqūlūna if'tarāhu qul ini if'taraytuhu faʿalayya ij'rāmī wa-anā barīon mimmā tuj'rimūn

11:36

وَأُوحِیَ إِلَىٰ نُوحٍ أَنَّهُۥ لَن یُؤۡمِنَ مِن قَوۡمِكَ إِلَّا مَن قَدۡ ءَامَنَ فَلَا تَبۡتَىِٕسۡ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَفۡعَلُونَ ۝٣٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And it was revealed to Nuh (Noah): ‘None of your people will (now) believe (any more) except those who have (so far) believed. So you should not grieve over their (belying and mocking) activities

waūḥiya ilā nūḥin annahu lan yu'mina min qawmika illā man qad āmana falā tabta-is bimā kānū yafʿalūn

11:37

وَٱصۡنَعِ ٱلۡفُلۡكَ بِأَعۡیُنِنَا وَوَحۡیِنَا وَلَا تُخَـٰطِبۡنِی فِی ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوۤا۟ إِنَّهُم مُّغۡرَقُونَ ۝٣٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And build an Ark before Our Eyes in compliance with Our instructions, and do not converse with Me (about anything) pertaining to the wrongdoers. They will surely be drowned.

wa-iṣ'naʿi l-ful'ka bi-aʿyuninā wawaḥyinā walā tukhāṭib'nī fī alladhīna ẓalamū innahum mugh'raqūn

11:38

وَیَصۡنَعُ ٱلۡفُلۡكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَیۡهِ مَلَأࣱ مِّن قَوۡمِهِۦ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنۡهُۚ قَالَ إِن تَسۡخَرُوا۟ مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسۡخَرُ مِنكُمۡ كَمَا تَسۡخَرُونَ ۝٣٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And Nuh (Noah) set himself to building the Ark. And whenever the chiefs of his people passed by him, they would scoff at him. Nuh (Noah) would say (in reply): ‘If you are mocking us (today), we shall also mock you (tomorrow) as you are mocking us

wayaṣnaʿu l-ful'ka wakullamā marra ʿalayhi mala-on min qawmihi sakhirū min'hu qāla in taskharū minnā fa-innā naskharu minkum kamā taskharūn

11:39

فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ مَن یَأۡتِیهِ عَذَابࣱ یُخۡزِیهِ وَیَحِلُّ عَلَیۡهِ عَذَابࣱ مُّقِیمٌ ۝٣٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

So you will soon learn upon whom the torment comes (in the world) that will humiliate him and (then whom) the eternal torment befalls (in the Hereafter too).

fasawfa taʿlamūna man yatīhi ʿadhābun yukh'zīhi wayaḥillu ʿalayhi ʿadhābun muqīmu

11:40

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا وَفَارَ ٱلتَّنُّورُ قُلۡنَا ٱحۡمِلۡ فِیهَا مِن كُلࣲّ زَوۡجَیۡنِ ٱثۡنَیۡنِ وَأَهۡلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ وَمَنۡ ءَامَنَۚ وَمَاۤ ءَامَنَ مَعَهُۥۤ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣱ ۝٤٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Until when Our command (of torment) came and the oven started gushing (like fountains, then) We said: ‘(O Nuh [Noah],) place aboard the Ark a pair of animals (male and female) of every species, and (take in) your family except those against whom the command (of destruction) has already gone forth, and whoever has believed (also take him with you).’ And, except a few, none had believed with him

ḥattā idhā jāa amrunā wafāra l-tanūru qul'nā iḥ'mil fīhā min kullin zawjayni ith'nayni wa-ahlaka illā man sabaqa ʿalayhi l-qawlu waman āmana wamā āmana maʿahu illā qalīlu

11:41

۞ وَقَالَ ٱرۡكَبُوا۟ فِیهَا بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ مَجۡر۪ىٰهَا وَمُرۡسَىٰهَاۤۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی لَغَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝٤١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Nuh (Noah) said: ‘Get into the Ark; in the Name of Allah will it sail and anchor. Surely, my Lord is Most Forgiving, Ever-Merciful.

waqāla ir'kabū fīhā bis'mi l-lahi majrahā wamur'sāhā inna rabbī laghafūrun raḥīmu

11:42

وَهِیَ تَجۡرِی بِهِمۡ فِی مَوۡجࣲ كَٱلۡجِبَالِ وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ ٱبۡنَهُۥ وَكَانَ فِی مَعۡزِلࣲ یَـٰبُنَیَّ ٱرۡكَب مَّعَنَا وَلَا تَكُن مَّعَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ ۝٤٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And the Ark kept sailing, carrying them through (violent) waves towering like mountains. Then Nuh (Noah) called out to his son, who had separated from him (and was standing with the disbelievers): ‘O my son, get aboard with us and do not stay with the disbelievers.

wahiya tajrī bihim fī mawjin kal-jibāli wanādā nūḥun ib'nahu wakāna fī maʿzilin yābunayya ir'kab maʿanā walā takun maʿa l-kāfirīn

11:43

قَالَ سَءَاوِیۤ إِلَىٰ جَبَلࣲ یَعۡصِمُنِی مِنَ ٱلۡمَاۤءِۚ قَالَ لَا عَاصِمَ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ مِنۡ أَمۡرِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَۚ وَحَالَ بَیۡنَهُمَا ٱلۡمَوۡجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُغۡرَقِینَ ۝٤٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

He said: ‘(Instead of embarking on the Ark) I shall just now take shelter on some mountain. That will save me from the Deluge.’ Nuh (Noah) said: ‘None can save today from Allah’s punishment except someone to whom He (Allah) shows His mercy.’ In the meanwhile, a (violent) wave came between both (father and son). So he was one of the drowned

qāla saāwī ilā jabalin yaʿṣimunī mina l-māi qāla lā ʿāṣima l-yawma min amri l-lahi illā man raḥima waḥāla baynahumā l-mawju fakāna mina l-mugh'raqīn

11:44

وَقِیلَ یَـٰۤأَرۡضُ ٱبۡلَعِی مَاۤءَكِ وَیَـٰسَمَاۤءُ أَقۡلِعِی وَغِیضَ ٱلۡمَاۤءُ وَقُضِیَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ وَٱسۡتَوَتۡ عَلَى ٱلۡجُودِیِّۖ وَقِیلَ بُعۡدࣰا لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٤٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(And when all were drowned and annihilated except Nuh’s [Noah’s] Ark) it was commanded: ‘O earth, swallow up your water and, O sky, cease pouring.’ And the water was dried and the command was executed and the Ark came to rest on Mount al-Judi and it was said: ‘Far away are the unjust (from mercy)!

waqīla yāarḍu ib'laʿī māaki wayāsamāu aqliʿī waghīḍa l-māu waquḍiya l-amru wa-is'tawat ʿalā l-jūdiyi waqīla buʿ'dan lil'qawmi l-ẓālimīn

11:45

وَنَادَىٰ نُوحࣱ رَّبَّهُۥ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ٱبۡنِی مِنۡ أَهۡلِی وَإِنَّ وَعۡدَكَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَأَنتَ أَحۡكَمُ ٱلۡحَـٰكِمِینَ ۝٤٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And Nuh (Noah) called out to his Lord and submitted: ‘O my Lord, indeed my son (too) was a part of my family, and certainly Your promise is true, and You are the Greatest of all rulers.

wanādā nūḥun rabbahu faqāla rabbi inna ib'nī min ahlī wa-inna waʿdaka l-ḥaqu wa-anta aḥkamu l-ḥākimīn

11:46

قَالَ یَـٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُۥ لَیۡسَ مِنۡ أَهۡلِكَۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَمَلٌ غَیۡرُ صَـٰلِحࣲۖ فَلَا تَسۡءَلۡنِ مَا لَیۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمٌۖ إِنِّیۤ أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجَـٰهِلِینَ ۝٤٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(Allah) said: ‘O Nuh (Noah), indeed he is not included in your family because his actions were not righteous. So do not ask Me a question (about matters) of which you have no knowledge. I admonish you lest you should become amongst the unwise.

qāla yānūḥu innahu laysa min ahlika innahu ʿamalun ghayru ṣāliḥin falā tasalni mā laysa laka bihi ʿil'mun innī aʿiẓuka an takūna mina l-jāhilīn

11:47

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّیۤ أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنۡ أَسۡءَلَكَ مَا لَیۡسَ لِی بِهِۦ عِلۡمࣱۖ وَإِلَّا تَغۡفِرۡ لِی وَتَرۡحَمۡنِیۤ أَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرِینَ ۝٤٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Nuh (Noah) submitted: ‘O my Lord, I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. And if You forgive me not and bestow (not) mercy on me, (then) I shall be of the losers.

qāla rabbi innī aʿūdhu bika an asalaka mā laysa lī bihi ʿil'mun wa-illā taghfir lī watarḥamnī akun mina l-khāsirīn

11:48

قِیلَ یَـٰنُوحُ ٱهۡبِطۡ بِسَلَـٰمࣲ مِّنَّا وَبَرَكَـٰتٍ عَلَیۡكَ وَعَلَىٰۤ أُمَمࣲ مِّمَّن مَّعَكَۚ وَأُمَمࣱ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمۡ ثُمَّ یَمَسُّهُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِیمࣱ ۝٤٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

He was commanded: ‘O Nuh (Noah), get down (from the Ark) with peace and blessings from Us on you and on the (kingdoms, classes and) species that are with you. And there will (also) be (classes and) species (in the future again) whom We shall provide with (the worldly favours); then a painful torment will come upon them from Us.

qīla yānūḥu ih'biṭ bisalāmin minnā wabarakātin ʿalayka waʿalā umamin mimman maʿaka wa-umamun sanumattiʿuhum thumma yamassuhum minnā ʿadhābun alīmu

11:49

تِلۡكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَاۤءِ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ نُوحِیهَاۤ إِلَیۡكَۖ مَا كُنتَ تَعۡلَمُهَاۤ أَنتَ وَلَا قَوۡمُكَ مِن قَبۡلِ هَـٰذَاۖ فَٱصۡبِرۡۖ إِنَّ ٱلۡعَـٰقِبَةَ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ ۝٤٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

This (narration) is of the accounts of the unseen that We reveal to you. Neither you nor your people knew them before this. So observe patience. Surely, it is the Godfearing with whom it ends well

til'ka min anbāi l-ghaybi nūḥīhā ilayka mā kunta taʿlamuhā anta walā qawmuka min qabli hādhā fa-iṣ'bir inna l-ʿāqibata lil'muttaqīn

11:50

وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمۡ هُودࣰاۚ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَیۡرُهُۥۤۖ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا مُفۡتَرُونَ ۝٥٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And to the people of ‘Ad (We sent) their (kinship) brother Hud. He said: ‘O my people, worship Allah. You have no God other than Him. You merely invent a lie against Allah (of having a partner)

wa-ilā ʿādin akhāhum hūdan qāla yāqawmi uʿ'budū l-laha mā lakum min ilāhin ghayruhu in antum illā muf'tarūn

11:51

یَـٰقَوۡمِ لَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ أَجۡرًاۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلَّذِی فَطَرَنِیۤۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٥١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

O my people! I do not demand of you any recompense for this (promotion and preaching of the message). My reward is (a bountiful obligation) upon Him Who has created me. Do you not apply your mind

yāqawmi lā asalukum ʿalayhi ajran in ajriya illā ʿalā alladhī faṭaranī afalā taʿqilūn

11:52

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِ یُرۡسِلِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ عَلَیۡكُم مِّدۡرَارࣰا وَیَزِدۡكُمۡ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمۡ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوۡا۟ مُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٥٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And, O people, seek forgiveness of your Lord (for your sins), then turn towards Him (with true hearts). He will send upon you copious rain from the sky and will add strength to your strength. So, do not turn away from Him becoming sinners.

wayāqawmi is'taghfirū rabbakum thumma tūbū ilayhi yur'sili l-samāa ʿalaykum mid'rāran wayazid'kum quwwatan ilā quwwatikum walā tatawallaw muj'rimīn

11:53

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰهُودُ مَا جِئۡتَنَا بِبَیِّنَةࣲ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِتَارِكِیۤ ءَالِهَتِنَا عَن قَوۡلِكَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ لَكَ بِمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٥٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

They said: ‘O Hud, you have not brought us any clear proof. Neither are we going to forsake our gods at your behest, nor are we to believe in you

qālū yāhūdu mā ji'tanā bibayyinatin wamā naḥnu bitārikī ālihatinā ʿan qawlika wamā naḥnu laka bimu'minīn

11:54

إِن نَّقُولُ إِلَّا ٱعۡتَرَىٰكَ بَعۡضُ ءَالِهَتِنَا بِسُوۤءࣲۗ قَالَ إِنِّیۤ أُشۡهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَٱشۡهَدُوۤا۟ أَنِّی بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٥٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

We can say nothing except that one of our gods has afflicted you with (mental) disorder.’ Hud said: ‘Indeed, I call Allah to witness, and you too bear witness that I have no concern with those whom you associate as partners with Allah

in naqūlu illā iʿ'tarāka baʿḍu ālihatinā bisūin qāla innī ush'hidu l-laha wa-ish'hadū annī barīon mimmā tush'rikūn

11:55

مِن دُونِهِۦۖ فَكِیدُونِی جَمِیعࣰا ثُمَّ لَا تُنظِرُونِ ۝٥٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Except for Him (Allah), join in to hatch (some) plot against me, all of you (including your false gods), then grant me no respite (as well)

min dūnihi fakīdūnī jamīʿan thumma lā tunẓirūn

11:56

إِنِّی تَوَكَّلۡتُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رَبِّی وَرَبِّكُمۚ مَّا مِن دَاۤبَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ ءَاخِذُۢ بِنَاصِیَتِهَاۤۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی عَلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ ۝٥٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Surely, I have put my trust in Allah, Who is my Lord (as well as) your Lord. And there is not a moving (living) creature, but He holds it by its forelock (i.e., is completely in the grip of His mighty control). Surely, my Lord is (found by treading) the straight road (of truth and justice)

innī tawakkaltu ʿalā l-lahi rabbī warabbikum mā min dābbatin illā huwa ākhidhun bināṣiyatihā inna rabbī ʿalā ṣirāṭin mus'taqīmi

11:57

فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡا۟ فَقَدۡ أَبۡلَغۡتُكُم مَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡتُ بِهِۦۤ إِلَیۡكُمۡۚ وَیَسۡتَخۡلِفُ رَبِّی قَوۡمًا غَیۡرَكُمۡ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُۥ شَیۡءًاۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءٍ حَفِیظࣱ ۝٥٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

If even then you turn away, I have literally brought you (all those commandments) with which I have been sent to you. And my Lord will appoint some other people in your place as your successors, and you can do Him no harm at all. Surely, my Lord is the Protector of everything.

fa-in tawallaw faqad ablaghtukum mā ur'sil'tu bihi ilaykum wayastakhlifu rabbī qawman ghayrakum walā taḍurrūnahu shayan inna rabbī ʿalā kulli shayin ḥafīẓu

11:58

وَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّیۡنَا هُودࣰا وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُم مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ غَلِیظࣲ ۝٥٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And when Our command (of torment) came to pass, (then) We saved Hud and the believers with him because of Our mercy, and We delivered them from severe punishment

walammā jāa amrunā najjaynā hūdan wa-alladhīna āmanū maʿahu biraḥmatin minnā wanajjaynāhum min ʿadhābin ghalīẓi

11:59

وَتِلۡكَ عَادࣱۖ جَحَدُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَعَصَوۡا۟ رُسُلَهُۥ وَٱتَّبَعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِیدࣲ ۝٥٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And these are (the people of) ‘Ad who denied the Revelations of their Lord and disobeyed their Messengers and followed the dictates of every oppressive (and arrogant) enemy of the truth

watil'ka ʿādun jaḥadū biāyāti rabbihim waʿaṣaw rusulahu wa-ittabaʿū amra kulli jabbārin ʿanīdi

11:60

وَأُتۡبِعُوا۟ فِی هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا لَعۡنَةࣰ وَیَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۗ أَلَاۤ إِنَّ عَادࣰا كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمۡۗ أَلَا بُعۡدࣰا لِّعَادࣲ قَوۡمِ هُودࣲ ۝٦٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

A curse was set to chase them in this world, and (will chase them) on the Day of Resurrection (as well). Bear in mind that (the people of) ‘Ad denied their Lord. Beware! Far away (from mercy) are the ‘Ad, the people of Hud

wa-ut'biʿū fī hādhihi l-dun'yā laʿnatan wayawma l-qiyāmati alā inna ʿādan kafarū rabbahum alā buʿ'dan liʿādin qawmi hūdi

11:61

۞ وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَـٰلِحࣰاۚ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَیۡرُهُۥۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱسۡتَعۡمَرَكُمۡ فِیهَا فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی قَرِیبࣱ مُّجِیبࣱ ۝٦١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And (We sent) to (the people of) Thamud their (kinship) brother Salih. He said: ‘O my people, worship Allah. You have no God apart from Him. He is the One Who raised you up from the earth and settled you therein. So, beg His forgiveness and then turn to Him in repentance. Surely, my Lord is Near, Granting prayers.

wa-ilā thamūda akhāhum ṣāliḥan qāla yāqawmi uʿ'budū l-laha mā lakum min ilāhin ghayruhu huwa ansha-akum mina l-arḍi wa-is'taʿmarakum fīhā fa-is'taghfirūhu thumma tūbū ilayhi inna rabbī qarībun mujību

11:62

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰصَـٰلِحُ قَدۡ كُنتَ فِینَا مَرۡجُوࣰّا قَبۡلَ هَـٰذَاۤۖ أَتَنۡهَىٰنَاۤ أَن نَّعۡبُدَ مَا یَعۡبُدُ ءَابَاۤؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِی شَكࣲّ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُونَاۤ إِلَیۡهِ مُرِیبࣲ ۝٦٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

They said: ‘O Salih, only you have been the centre of hopes amongst our people before this. Are you forbidding us to worship those (idols) which our forefathers used to worship? We are really caught in a disquieting doubt about (the Oneness of Allah) towards which you are calling us.

qālū yāṣāliḥu qad kunta fīnā marjuwwan qabla hādhā atanhānā an naʿbuda mā yaʿbudu ābāunā wa-innanā lafī shakkin mimmā tadʿūnā ilayhi murībi

11:63

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّی وَءَاتَىٰنِی مِنۡهُ رَحۡمَةࣰ فَمَن یَنصُرُنِی مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنۡ عَصَیۡتُهُۥۖ فَمَا تَزِیدُونَنِی غَیۡرَ تَخۡسِیرࣲ ۝٦٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Salih said: ‘O my people, just think, if I cling to a clear proof from my Lord, and I have been blessed with a (special) mercy from Him, (then after that) if I disobey Him (by holding back His commandments from you), then who can help me escape from (the torment of) Allah? So, you can add to me nothing except inflicting loss

qāla yāqawmi ara-aytum in kuntu ʿalā bayyinatin min rabbī waātānī min'hu raḥmatan faman yanṣurunī mina l-lahi in ʿaṣaytuhu famā tazīdūnanī ghayra takhsīri

11:64

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمۡ ءَایَةࣰۖ فَذَرُوهَا تَأۡكُلۡ فِیۤ أَرۡضِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوۤءࣲ فَیَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابࣱ قَرِیبࣱ ۝٦٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And, O my people, this is a (peculiarly created) she-camel of Allah, (which is) a sign for you. So leave her free to graze in Allah’s earth, and do her no harm lest an imminent torment should seize you.

wayāqawmi hādhihi nāqatu l-lahi lakum āyatan fadharūhā takul fī arḍi l-lahi walā tamassūhā bisūin fayakhudhakum ʿadhābun qarību

11:65

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فِی دَارِكُمۡ ثَلَـٰثَةَ أَیَّامࣲۖ ذَ ٰلِكَ وَعۡدٌ غَیۡرُ مَكۡذُوبࣲ ۝٦٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Then they (hamstrung and) slaughtered her. Salih said: ‘(Now) luxuriate in your abodes (only) for three days. This is a promise which will (never) become untrue.

faʿaqarūhā faqāla tamattaʿū fī dārikum thalāthata ayyāmin dhālika waʿdun ghayru makdhūbi

11:66

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّیۡنَا صَـٰلِحࣰا وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَّا وَمِنۡ خِزۡیِ یَوۡمِىِٕذٍۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡقَوِیُّ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ۝٦٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Then, when Our command (of torment) came to pass, We saved Salih and the believers with him through Our mercy and (also delivered them) from the humiliation of that day. Surely, your Lord alone is Powerful, Sovereign

falammā jāa amrunā najjaynā ṣāliḥan wa-alladhīna āmanū maʿahu biraḥmatin minnā wamin khiz'yi yawmi-idhin inna rabbaka huwa l-qawiyu l-ʿazīz

11:67

وَأَخَذَ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُوا۟ فِی دِیَـٰرِهِمۡ جَـٰثِمِینَ ۝٦٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And a dreadful blast overtook the wrongdoers. So morning found them (dead), lying prone in their homes

wa-akhadha alladhīna ẓalamū l-ṣayḥatu fa-aṣbaḥū fī diyārihim jāthimīn

11:68

كَأَن لَّمۡ یَغۡنَوۡا۟ فِیهَاۤۗ أَلَاۤ إِنَّ ثَمُودَا۟ كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمۡۗ أَلَا بُعۡدࣰا لِّثَمُودَ ۝٦٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

As if they had never dwelled there. Remember! (The people of) Thamud denied their Lord. Beware! Far away (from mercy) are (the people of) Thamud

ka-an lam yaghnaw fīhā alā inna thamūdā kafarū rabbahum alā buʿ'dan lithamūd

11:69

وَلَقَدۡ جَاۤءَتۡ رُسُلُنَاۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ بِٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ قَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمࣰاۖ قَالَ سَلَـٰمࣱۖ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَن جَاۤءَ بِعِجۡلٍ حَنِیذࣲ ۝٦٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And indeed, Our deputed angels came to Ibrahim (Abraham), bearing glad tidings. They greeted him, saying: ‘Peace (be on you),’ and Ibrahim (Abraham) reciprocated: ‘Peace (be on you).’ Then he did not take any time and brought (them) a roasted calf (out of hospitality)

walaqad jāat rusulunā ib'rāhīma bil-bush'rā qālū salāman qāla salāmun famā labitha an jāa biʿij'lin ḥanīdhi

11:70

فَلَمَّا رَءَاۤ أَیۡدِیَهُمۡ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَیۡهِ نَكِرَهُمۡ وَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِیفَةࣰۚ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفۡ إِنَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِ لُوطࣲ ۝٧٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Then, when (Ibrahim [Abraham]) saw that their hands did not stretch towards that (dish), he took them as strangers and felt a little fear of them in (his) heart. They said: ‘Do not be afraid. We have been sent to the people of Lut (Lot).

falammā raā aydiyahum lā taṣilu ilayhi nakirahum wa-awjasa min'hum khīfatan qālū lā takhaf innā ur'sil'nā ilā qawmi lūṭi

11:71

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ قَاۤىِٕمَةࣱ فَضَحِكَتۡ فَبَشَّرۡنَـٰهَا بِإِسۡحَـٰقَ وَمِن وَرَاۤءِ إِسۡحَـٰقَ یَعۡقُوبَ ۝٧١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And his wife (Sara) who was standing (beside him) laughed. So We conveyed to his (wife) the glad tidings of the birth of Ishaq (Isaac) and beyond Ishaq of Ya‘qub (Jacob)

wa-im'ra-atuhu qāimatun faḍaḥikat fabasharnāhā bi-is'ḥāqa wamin warāi is'ḥāqa yaʿqūb

11:72

قَالَتۡ یَـٰوَیۡلَتَىٰۤ ءَأَلِدُ وَأَنَا۠ عَجُوزࣱ وَهَـٰذَا بَعۡلِی شَیۡخًاۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَیۡءٌ عَجِیبࣱ ۝٧٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

She said: ‘Amazing! Shall I bear a child whilst I have grown old and my husband (too) is an old man? This is extremely astonishing indeed!

qālat yāwaylatā a-alidu wa-anā ʿajūzun wahādhā baʿlī shaykhan inna hādhā lashayon ʿajību

11:73

قَالُوۤا۟ أَتَعۡجَبِینَ مِنۡ أَمۡرِ ٱللَّهِۖ رَحۡمَتُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَـٰتُهُۥ عَلَیۡكُمۡ أَهۡلَ ٱلۡبَیۡتِۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَمِیدࣱ مَّجِیدࣱ ۝٧٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

The angels said: ‘Are you wondering at Allah’s command? O people of the house, (showered) upon you are mercy and blessings of Allah. Indeed, He (is) Praiseworthy, Glorious.

qālū ataʿjabīna min amri l-lahi raḥmatu l-lahi wabarakātuhu ʿalaykum ahla l-bayti innahu ḥamīdun majīdu

11:74

فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنۡ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ٱلرَّوۡعُ وَجَاۤءَتۡهُ ٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ یُجَـٰدِلُنَا فِی قَوۡمِ لُوطٍ ۝٧٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

So when fear disappeared from Ibrahim (Abraham) and the glad tidings reached him, he disputed (with) Our (angels) about the people of Lut (Lot)

falammā dhahaba ʿan ib'rāhīma l-rawʿu wajāathu l-bush'rā yujādilunā fī qawmi lūṭi

11:75

إِنَّ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ لَحَلِیمٌ أَوَّ ٰهࣱ مُّنِیبࣱ ۝٧٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Assuredly, Ibrahim (Abraham) was most forbearing, sobbing and submissive and turning to Us under all circumstances

inna ib'rāhīma laḥalīmun awwāhun munību

11:76

یَـٰۤإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمُ أَعۡرِضۡ عَنۡ هَـٰذَاۤۖ إِنَّهُۥ قَدۡ جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُ رَبِّكَۖ وَإِنَّهُمۡ ءَاتِیهِمۡ عَذَابٌ غَیۡرُ مَرۡدُودࣲ ۝٧٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(The angels said:) ‘O Ibrahim (Abraham), leave off this (matter). Surely, the command of (torment from) your Lord has now come to pass, and the torment is about to seize them which cannot be averted.

yāib'rāhīmu aʿriḍ ʿan hādhā innahu qad jāa amru rabbika wa-innahum ātīhim ʿadhābun ghayru mardūdi

11:77

وَلَمَّا جَاۤءَتۡ رُسُلُنَا لُوطࣰا سِیۤءَ بِهِمۡ وَضَاقَ بِهِمۡ ذَرۡعࣰا وَقَالَ هَـٰذَا یَوۡمٌ عَصِیبࣱ ۝٧٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And when Our deputed angels visited Lut (Lot), he felt worried on their arrival and on account of them his strength sank and he said: ‘This is a day of great distress.’ (The angels were extremely handsome, and Lut [Lot] was aware of the evil habit of his people, so he was perturbed for fear of possible mischief.

walammā jāat rusulunā lūṭan sīa bihim waḍāqa bihim dharʿan waqāla hādhā yawmun ʿaṣību

11:78

وَجَاۤءَهُۥ قَوۡمُهُۥ یُهۡرَعُونَ إِلَیۡهِ وَمِن قَبۡلُ كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ٱلسَّیِّءَاتِۚ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ بَنَاتِی هُنَّ أَطۡهَرُ لَكُمۡۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ فِی ضَیۡفِیۤۖ أَلَیۡسَ مِنكُمۡ رَجُلࣱ رَّشِیدࣱ ۝٧٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(So, that which he feared took place.) The people of Lut ([Lot], hearing about the arrival of the guests,) came to him running. And they were already addicted to evil-doing. Lut (Lot) said: ‘O my (disobedient) people, here are my (people’s) daughters. They are pure and lawful for you (through marriage). So, fear Allah and do not humiliate me in the presence of my guests (because of your indecency). Is there not amongst you even a single man of upright character?

wajāahu qawmuhu yuh'raʿūna ilayhi wamin qablu kānū yaʿmalūna l-sayiāti qāla yāqawmi hāulāi banātī hunna aṭharu lakum fa-ittaqū l-laha walā tukh'zūni fī ḍayfī alaysa minkum rajulun rashīdu

11:79

قَالُوا۟ لَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتَ مَا لَنَا فِی بَنَاتِكَ مِنۡ حَقࣲّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعۡلَمُ مَا نُرِیدُ ۝٧٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

They said: ‘You know well that we have nothing to do with your (people’s) daughters. And you certainly know what we desire.

qālū laqad ʿalim'ta mā lanā fī banātika min ḥaqqin wa-innaka lataʿlamu mā nurīd

11:80

قَالَ لَوۡ أَنَّ لِی بِكُمۡ قُوَّةً أَوۡ ءَاوِیۤ إِلَىٰ رُكۡنࣲ شَدِیدࣲ ۝٨٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Lut (Lot) said: ‘Would that I had the power to resist you, or I could seek shelter (today) in some unassailable fort!

qāla law anna lī bikum quwwatan aw āwī ilā ruk'nin shadīdi

11:81

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰلُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَن یَصِلُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡكَۖ فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعࣲ مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ وَلَا یَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَكَۖ إِنَّهُۥ مُصِیبُهَا مَاۤ أَصَابَهُمۡۚ إِنَّ مَوۡعِدَهُمُ ٱلصُّبۡحُۚ أَلَیۡسَ ٱلصُّبۡحُ بِقَرِیبࣲ ۝٨١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(Thereupon the angels) said: ‘O Lut (Lot), we are the messengers of your Lord. These people shall never be able to get at you. So leave during a part of the night with your family and let not any of you look (back); but (do not take) your wife (with you). The same (torment) that will come upon them is going to reach her (too). Surely, the time appointed for their (torment) is the morning. And is the morning not near?

qālū yālūṭu innā rusulu rabbika lan yaṣilū ilayka fa-asri bi-ahlika biqiṭ'ʿin mina al-layli walā yaltafit minkum aḥadun illā im'ra-ataka innahu muṣībuhā mā aṣābahum inna mawʿidahumu l-ṣub'ḥu alaysa l-ṣub'ḥu biqarībi

11:82

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا جَعَلۡنَا عَـٰلِیَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهَا حِجَارَةࣰ مِّن سِجِّیلࣲ مَّنضُودࣲ ۝٨٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Then, when Our command (of chastisement) came to pass, We turned the town upside down, and We rained upon it stones and pebbles of baked clay which incessantly teemed down (layer upon layer)

falammā jāa amrunā jaʿalnā ʿāliyahā sāfilahā wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhā ḥijāratan min sijjīlin manḍūdi

11:83

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَۖ وَمَا هِیَ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ بِبَعِیدࣲ ۝٨٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Which were marked by your Lord. And this (torment of stones) is not far away from the wrongdoers (even now)

musawwamatan ʿinda rabbika wamā hiya mina l-ẓālimīna bibaʿīdi

11:84

۞ وَإِلَىٰ مَدۡیَنَ أَخَاهُمۡ شُعَیۡبࣰاۚ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَیۡرُهُۥۖ وَلَا تَنقُصُوا۟ ٱلۡمِكۡیَالَ وَٱلۡمِیزَانَۖ إِنِّیۤ أَرَىٰكُم بِخَیۡرࣲ وَإِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمࣲ مُّحِیطࣲ ۝٨٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And We (sent) to (the people of) Madyan their (kinship) brother Shu‘ayb. He said: ‘O my people, worship Allah. You have no God but He. And do not give short measure and weight. Indeed, I see you prosperous, but I fear for you the torment of a day which is about to encompass (you)

wa-ilā madyana akhāhum shuʿayban qāla yāqawmi uʿ'budū l-laha mā lakum min ilāhin ghayruhu walā tanquṣū l-mik'yāla wal-mīzāna innī arākum bikhayrin wa-innī akhāfu ʿalaykum ʿadhāba yawmin muḥīṭi

11:85

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ أَوۡفُوا۟ ٱلۡمِكۡیَالَ وَٱلۡمِیزَانَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ وَلَا تَبۡخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡیَاۤءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِینَ ۝٨٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And, O my people, give full measure and full weight with justice, and do not give people their things less than their due. And do not spread destruction in the land by becoming mischief-mongers

wayāqawmi awfū l-mik'yāla wal-mīzāna bil-qis'ṭi walā tabkhasū l-nāsa ashyāahum walā taʿthaw fī l-arḍi muf'sidīn

11:86

بَقِیَّتُ ٱللَّهِ خَیۡرࣱ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَۚ وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ عَلَیۡكُم بِحَفِیظࣲ ۝٨٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

That which is left over from Allah’s provision (only that) is better for you if you have faith. And I am not a guardian over you.

baqiyyatu l-lahi khayrun lakum in kuntum mu'minīna wamā anā ʿalaykum biḥafīẓi

11:87

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰشُعَیۡبُ أَصَلَوٰتُكَ تَأۡمُرُكَ أَن نَّتۡرُكَ مَا یَعۡبُدُ ءَابَاۤؤُنَاۤ أَوۡ أَن نَّفۡعَلَ فِیۤ أَمۡوَ ٰلِنَا مَا نَشَـٰۤؤُا۟ۖ إِنَّكَ لَأَنتَ ٱلۡحَلِیمُ ٱلرَّشِیدُ ۝٨٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

They said: ‘O Shu‘ayb, does your prayer only command you that we forsake those (gods) which our fathers have been worshipping, or that we refrain from doing with our wealth what we like? Surely, you (alone) must be the most tolerant and guided one!

qālū yāshuʿaybu aṣalatuka tamuruka an natruka mā yaʿbudu ābāunā aw an nafʿala fī amwālinā mā nashāu innaka la-anta l-ḥalīmu l-rashīd

11:88

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّی وَرَزَقَنِی مِنۡهُ رِزۡقًا حَسَنࣰاۚ وَمَاۤ أُرِیدُ أَنۡ أُخَالِفَكُمۡ إِلَىٰ مَاۤ أَنۡهَىٰكُمۡ عَنۡهُۚ إِنۡ أُرِیدُ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِصۡلَـٰحَ مَا ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُۚ وَمَا تَوۡفِیقِیۤ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِۚ عَلَیۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ وَإِلَیۡهِ أُنِیبُ ۝٨٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Shu‘ayb said: ‘O my people, tell me if I adhere to the clear proof from my Lord, and He has also granted me pure and fine means of living from His presence (then why should I not preach the truth)? I (also) do not want that, following you, I myself start doing (against the truth) the same that I am forbidding you. All I desire is to reform (you) as far as I can, and my capability comes only from Allah’s (help). So I have put my trust in Him alone and I turn towards Him alone

qāla yāqawmi ara-aytum in kuntu ʿalā bayyinatin min rabbī warazaqanī min'hu riz'qan ḥasanan wamā urīdu an ukhālifakum ilā mā anhākum ʿanhu in urīdu illā l-iṣ'lāḥa mā is'taṭaʿtu wamā tawfīqī illā bil-lahi ʿalayhi tawakkaltu wa-ilayhi unīb

11:89

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ لَا یَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شِقَاقِیۤ أَن یُصِیبَكُم مِّثۡلُ مَاۤ أَصَابَ قَوۡمَ نُوحٍ أَوۡ قَوۡمَ هُودٍ أَوۡ قَوۡمَ صَـٰلِحࣲۚ وَمَا قَوۡمُ لُوطࣲ مِّنكُم بِبَعِیدࣲ ۝٨٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And, O my people, let not your enmity and hostility against me incite you (due to which) there comes upon you the (torment) that befell the people of Nuh (Noah), or the people of Hud, or the people of Salih. And (the days of) the people of Lut (Lot) have not passed far before you

wayāqawmi lā yajrimannakum shiqāqī an yuṣībakum mith'lu mā aṣāba qawma nūḥin aw qawma hūdin aw qawma ṣāliḥin wamā qawmu lūṭin minkum bibaʿīdi

11:90

وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِۚ إِنَّ رَبِّی رَحِیمࣱ وَدُودࣱ ۝٩٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And seek forgiveness from your Lord, then turn to Him in repentance (with true hearts). Indeed, my Lord is Ever-Merciful, Most Loving

wa-is'taghfirū rabbakum thumma tūbū ilayhi inna rabbī raḥīmun wadūdu

11:91

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰشُعَیۡبُ مَا نَفۡقَهُ كَثِیرࣰا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِینَا ضَعِیفࣰاۖ وَلَوۡلَا رَهۡطُكَ لَرَجَمۡنَـٰكَۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتَ عَلَیۡنَا بِعَزِیزࣲ ۝٩١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

They said: ‘O Shu‘ayb, we do not understand most of your words, and we know you as a weak person in society. And were it not for your family, we would stone you. (This is what we are conceding for, otherwise) you enjoy no respect in our eyes.

qālū yāshuʿaybu mā nafqahu kathīran mimmā taqūlu wa-innā lanarāka fīnā ḍaʿīfan walawlā rahṭuka larajamnāka wamā anta ʿalaynā biʿazīzi

11:92

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ أَرَهۡطِیۤ أَعَزُّ عَلَیۡكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱتَّخَذۡتُمُوهُ وَرَاۤءَكُمۡ ظِهۡرِیًّاۖ إِنَّ رَبِّی بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ مُحِیطࣱ ۝٩٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Shu‘ayb said: ‘O my people, is my family more venerable to you than Allah? And you have (as if) cast Him (Allah) behind your backs. Surely, my Lord has encompassed (all) your works

qāla yāqawmi arahṭī aʿazzu ʿalaykum mina l-lahi wa-ittakhadhtumūhu warāakum ẓih'riyyan inna rabbī bimā taʿmalūna muḥīṭu

11:93

وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمۡ إِنِّی عَـٰمِلࣱۖ سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ مَن یَأۡتِیهِ عَذَابࣱ یُخۡزِیهِ وَمَنۡ هُوَ كَـٰذِبࣱۖ وَٱرۡتَقِبُوۤا۟ إِنِّی مَعَكُمۡ رَقِیبࣱ ۝٩٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And, O my people, keep working in your place; I am doing my work. Soon will you come to know whom that torment seizes which will humiliate him, and who it is that is a liar. And wait on, and I (too) wait along with you.

wayāqawmi iʿ'malū ʿalā makānatikum innī ʿāmilun sawfa taʿlamūna man yatīhi ʿadhābun yukh'zīhi waman huwa kādhibun wa-ir'taqibū innī maʿakum raqību

11:94

وَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا نَجَّیۡنَا شُعَیۡبࣰا وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحۡمَةࣲ مِّنَّا وَأَخَذَتِ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُوا۟ فِی دِیَـٰرِهِمۡ جَـٰثِمِینَ ۝٩٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And when Our command (of torment) came, We saved Shu‘ayb and the believers with him through Our mercy, but a dreadful blast seized the wrongdoers. So they reached the morning (as dead) lying prostrate in their homes

walammā jāa amrunā najjaynā shuʿayban wa-alladhīna āmanū maʿahu biraḥmatin minnā wa-akhadhati alladhīna ẓalamū l-ṣayḥatu fa-aṣbaḥū fī diyārihim jāthimīn

11:95

كَأَن لَّمۡ یَغۡنَوۡا۟ فِیهَاۤۗ أَلَا بُعۡدࣰا لِّمَدۡیَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَتۡ ثَمُودُ ۝٩٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

As if they had never put up there. Listen! (The people of) Madyan are doomed as were doomed (the people of) Thamud

ka-an lam yaghnaw fīhā alā buʿ'dan limadyana kamā baʿidat thamūd

11:96

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوسَىٰ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا وَسُلۡطَـٰنࣲ مُّبِینٍ ۝٩٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And indeed, We sent Musa (Moses too) with Our signs and a clear proof

walaqad arsalnā mūsā biāyātinā wasul'ṭānin mubīni

11:97

إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِی۟هِۦ فَٱتَّبَعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَ فِرۡعَوۡنَۖ وَمَاۤ أَمۡرُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِرَشِیدࣲ ۝٩٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

To Pharaoh and his chiefs. The chiefs of the people obeyed the command of Pharaoh, although Pharaoh’s command was not right

ilā fir'ʿawna wamala-ihi fa-ittabaʿū amra fir'ʿawna wamā amru fir'ʿawna birashīdi

11:98

یَقۡدُمُ قَوۡمَهُۥ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ فَأَوۡرَدَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡوِرۡدُ ٱلۡمَوۡرُودُ ۝٩٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

On the Day of Resurrection, he will lead his people, and will ultimately bring them down into the Fire of Hell. And how evil that place is to be ushered into

yaqdumu qawmahu yawma l-qiyāmati fa-awradahumu l-nāra wabi'sa l-wir'du l-mawrūd

11:99

وَأُتۡبِعُوا۟ فِی هَـٰذِهِۦ لَعۡنَةࣰ وَیَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۚ بِئۡسَ ٱلرِّفۡدُ ٱلۡمَرۡفُودُ ۝٩٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And the curse has been made to chase them in this world, and (this will chase them) on the Day of Resurrection (as well). What an evil gift has been bestowed upon them

wa-ut'biʿū fī hādhihi laʿnatan wayawma l-qiyāmati bi'sa l-rif'du l-marfūd

11:100

ذَ ٰلِكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَاۤءِ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ نَقُصُّهُۥ عَلَیۡكَۖ مِنۡهَا قَاۤىِٕمࣱ وَحَصِیدࣱ ۝١٠٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(O Glorious Messenger!) That is some of the news We are relating to you of (those) towns some of which still exist and (some) were totally annihilated

dhālika min anbāi l-qurā naquṣṣuhu ʿalayka min'hā qāimun waḥaṣīdu

11:101

وَمَا ظَلَمۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَلَـٰكِن ظَلَمُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡۖ فَمَاۤ أَغۡنَتۡ عَنۡهُمۡ ءَالِهَتُهُمُ ٱلَّتِی یَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَیۡءࣲ لَّمَّا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُ رَبِّكَۖ وَمَا زَادُوهُمۡ غَیۡرَ تَتۡبِیبࣲ ۝١٠١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And We did not wrong them, but they (themselves) wronged their souls. So, their false gods whom they worshipped besides Allah proved to them of no help when the command (of the torment) of your Lord came forth. And those (gods) could add only to their destruction and devastation

wamā ẓalamnāhum walākin ẓalamū anfusahum famā aghnat ʿanhum ālihatuhumu allatī yadʿūna min dūni l-lahi min shayin lammā jāa amru rabbika wamā zādūhum ghayra tatbībi

11:102

وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ أَخۡذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَاۤ أَخَذَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ وَهِیَ ظَـٰلِمَةٌۚ إِنَّ أَخۡذَهُۥۤ أَلِیمࣱ شَدِیدٌ ۝١٠٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And that is how your Lord grips: He seizes the communities when they (become) tyrannous and corrupt. Surely, His grip is agonizing and fierce

wakadhālika akhdhu rabbika idhā akhadha l-qurā wahiya ẓālimatun inna akhdhahu alīmun shadīdu

11:103

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰ لِّمَنۡ خَافَ عَذَابَ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ یَوۡمࣱ مَّجۡمُوعࣱ لَّهُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَذَ ٰلِكَ یَوۡمࣱ مَّشۡهُودࣱ ۝١٠٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Indeed, these (episodes) contain lessons of warning for him who fears the chastisement of the Last Day. This (Day of Rising) is the Day when entire mankind will be gathered together, and it is this Day when all will be made present

inna fī dhālika laāyatan liman khāfa ʿadhāba l-ākhirati dhālika yawmun majmūʿun lahu l-nāsu wadhālika yawmun mashhūdu

11:104

وَمَا نُؤَخِّرُهُۥۤ إِلَّا لِأَجَلࣲ مَّعۡدُودࣲ ۝١٠٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And We are not deferring it but for an appointed term (which has already been fixed)

wamā nu-akhiruhu illā li-ajalin maʿdūdi

11:105

یَوۡمَ یَأۡتِ لَا تَكَلَّمُ نَفۡسٌ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِهِۦۚ فَمِنۡهُمۡ شَقِیࣱّ وَسَعِیدࣱ ۝١٠٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

When that Day comes, not a soul will be able to speak without His permission. Then some of them will be unfortunate and others fortunate

yawma yati lā takallamu nafsun illā bi-idh'nihi famin'hum shaqiyyun wasaʿīdu

11:106

فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ شَقُوا۟ فَفِی ٱلنَّارِ لَهُمۡ فِیهَا زَفِیرࣱ وَشَهِیقٌ ۝١٠٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

So those who will be unfortunate will be (put) into Hell; there they will be given to screaming and wailing

fa-ammā alladhīna shaqū fafī l-nāri lahum fīhā zafīrun washahīqu

11:107

خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَا مَا دَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاۤءَ رَبُّكَۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ فَعَّالࣱ لِّمَا یُرِیدُ ۝١٠٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

They will abide in it till the heavens and the earth (which will then exist) last except as your Lord wills. Surely, your Lord executes what He wills

khālidīna fīhā mā dāmati l-samāwātu wal-arḍu illā mā shāa rabbuka inna rabbaka faʿʿālun limā yurīd

11:108

۞ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ سُعِدُوا۟ فَفِی ٱلۡجَنَّةِ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَا مَا دَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ إِلَّا مَا شَاۤءَ رَبُّكَۖ عَطَاۤءً غَیۡرَ مَجۡذُوذࣲ ۝١٠٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And those who will be fortunate will be in Paradise. They will abide in it forever till the heavens and the earth (which will then exist) endure except as your Lord wills. This is a bounty which will never be withdrawn

wa-ammā alladhīna suʿidū fafī l-janati khālidīna fīhā mā dāmati l-samāwātu wal-arḍu illā mā shāa rabbuka ʿaṭāan ghayra majdhūdhi

11:109

فَلَا تَكُ فِی مِرۡیَةࣲ مِّمَّا یَعۡبُدُ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِۚ مَا یَعۡبُدُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا یَعۡبُدُ ءَابَاۤؤُهُم مِّن قَبۡلُۚ وَإِنَّا لَمُوَفُّوهُمۡ نَصِیبَهُمۡ غَیۡرَ مَنقُوصࣲ ۝١٠٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

So, (O listener,) do not have any doubt at all about those which they worship. They do not worship (on the basis of any reason or insight), but they worship only as their ancestors have done contiguously before. And certainly, We will pay them their full share (of torment) which will not be diminished in the least

falā taku fī mir'yatin mimmā yaʿbudu hāulāi mā yaʿbudūna illā kamā yaʿbudu ābāuhum min qablu wa-innā lamuwaffūhum naṣībahum ghayra manqūṣi

11:110

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ فَٱخۡتُلِفَ فِیهِۚ وَلَوۡلَا كَلِمَةࣱ سَبَقَتۡ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِیَ بَیۡنَهُمۡۚ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَفِی شَكࣲّ مِّنۡهُ مُرِیبࣲ ۝١١٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And indeed, We gave Musa (Moses) the Book. Then differences arose concerning it. And had there not been a decree from your Lord that had gone forth before, the judgment between them would surely have been passed. And they are certainly caught in a disquieting doubt about it (the Qur’an)

walaqad ātaynā mūsā l-kitāba fa-ukh'tulifa fīhi walawlā kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika laquḍiya baynahum wa-innahum lafī shakkin min'hu murībi

11:111

وَإِنَّ كُلࣰّا لَّمَّا لَیُوَفِّیَنَّهُمۡ رَبُّكَ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِمَا یَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ ۝١١١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Your Lord will doubtlessly pay them in full for their works. He is certainly Well Aware of whatever they are doing

wa-inna kullan lammā layuwaffiyannahum rabbuka aʿmālahum innahu bimā yaʿmalūna khabīru

11:112

فَٱسۡتَقِمۡ كَمَاۤ أُمِرۡتَ وَمَن تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطۡغَوۡا۟ۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرࣱ ۝١١٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

So remain firm-footed as you have been commanded, and he too who has turned (to Allah) in your companionship (must persevere). And, (O people,) do not revolt. Indeed, He monitors whatever you do

fa-is'taqim kamā umir'ta waman tāba maʿaka walā taṭghaw innahu bimā taʿmalūna baṣīru

11:113

وَلَا تَرۡكَنُوۤا۟ إِلَى ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ فَتَمَسَّكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِنۡ أَوۡلِیَاۤءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ ۝١١٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And incline not towards those who are engaged in oppression (and exploitation) lest the Fire (of Hell) should touch down at you, and there will be no protector for you apart from Allah; then help (too) will not be extended to you

walā tarkanū ilā alladhīna ẓalamū fatamassakumu l-nāru wamā lakum min dūni l-lahi min awliyāa thumma lā tunṣarūn

11:114

وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ طَرَفَیِ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَزُلَفࣰا مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِۚ إِنَّ ٱلۡحَسَنَـٰتِ یُذۡهِبۡنَ ٱلسَّیِّءَاتِۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ذِكۡرَىٰ لِلذَّ ٰكِرِینَ ۝١١٤

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And establish Prayer at the two ends of the day and in some parts of the night. Surely, good actions erase the evil ones. This is an admonition for those who accept admonition

wa-aqimi l-ṣalata ṭarafayi l-nahāri wazulafan mina al-layli inna l-ḥasanāti yudh'hib'na l-sayiāti dhālika dhik'rā lildhākirīn

11:115

وَٱصۡبِرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یُضِیعُ أَجۡرَ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝١١٥

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And be steadfast. Surely, Allah does not let the reward of the pious go to waste

wa-iṣ'bir fa-inna l-laha lā yuḍīʿu ajra l-muḥ'sinīn

11:116

فَلَوۡلَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ أُو۟لُوا۟ بَقِیَّةࣲ یَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡفَسَادِ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣰا مِّمَّنۡ أَنجَیۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡۗ وَٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَاۤ أُتۡرِفُوا۟ فِیهِ وَكَانُوا۟ مُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١١٦

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

So why were there not amongst the communities, that preceded you, men of superior morality and wisdom, who would stop people from mischief-mongering in the land, except a few of them whom We delivered? And the unjust stuck to (the same path of) luxury and lustfulness they were addicted to. And they were (regular) criminals

falawlā kāna mina l-qurūni min qablikum ulū baqiyyatin yanhawna ʿani l-fasādi fī l-arḍi illā qalīlan mimman anjaynā min'hum wa-ittabaʿa alladhīna ẓalamū mā ut'rifū fīhi wakānū muj'rimīn

11:117

وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِیُهۡلِكَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ بِظُلۡمࣲ وَأَهۡلُهَا مُصۡلِحُونَ ۝١١٧

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And your Lord is not such that He would destroy the towns wrongfully, whilst their dwellers are pious

wamā kāna rabbuka liyuh'lika l-qurā biẓul'min wa-ahluhā muṣ'liḥūn

11:118

وَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ أُمَّةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰۖ وَلَا یَزَالُونَ مُخۡتَلِفِینَ ۝١١٨

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And had your Lord so willed, He would have made mankind one Umma (Community. But He has not done so by force. On the contrary, He has given free choice to all to adopt a religion.) And (now) these people will always hold divergent views

walaw shāa rabbuka lajaʿala l-nāsa ummatan wāḥidatan walā yazālūna mukh'talifīn

11:119

إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ رَبُّكَۚ وَلِذَ ٰلِكَ خَلَقَهُمۡۗ وَتَمَّتۡ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَأَمۡلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝١١٩

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Except for him on whom your Lord has bestowed His mercy, and that is what He has created them for. And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled: ‘Surely, I will fill Hell with all the (disbelieving) jinn and men.

illā man raḥima rabbuka walidhālika khalaqahum watammat kalimatu rabbika la-amla-anna jahannama mina l-jinati wal-nāsi ajmaʿīn

11:120

وَكُلࣰّا نَّقُصُّ عَلَیۡكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَاۤءِ ٱلرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَۚ وَجَاۤءَكَ فِی هَـٰذِهِ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَمَوۡعِظَةࣱ وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٢٠

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And We are relating to you all the news of the Messengers whereby We strengthen your (most purified) heart. And in this (Chapter), there has come to you the truth and advice and a lesson of warning (and also a reminder) for the believers

wakullan naquṣṣu ʿalayka min anbāi l-rusuli mā nuthabbitu bihi fuādaka wajāaka fī hādhihi l-ḥaqu wamawʿiẓatun wadhik'rā lil'mu'minīn

11:121

وَقُل لِّلَّذِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ٱعۡمَلُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِكُمۡ إِنَّا عَـٰمِلُونَ ۝١٢١

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And say to those who do not believe: ‘Work on in your place, and we are doing (what our station demands)

waqul lilladhīna lā yu'minūna iʿ'malū ʿalā makānatikum innā ʿāmilūn

11:122

وَٱنتَظِرُوۤا۟ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ ۝١٢٢

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And wait on; we (too) are waiting.

wa-intaẓirū innā muntaẓirūn

11:123

وَلِلَّهِ غَیۡبُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِلَیۡهِ یُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ كُلُّهُۥ فَٱعۡبُدۡهُ وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَیۡهِۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَـٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٢٣

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And (all) the unseen of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah alone, and He is the One towards Whom every act is returned. So keep worshipping Him and keep trust in Him alone. And your Lord is not unmindful of the deeds that all of you do

walillahi ghaybu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa-ilayhi yur'jaʿu l-amru kulluhu fa-uʿ'bud'hu watawakkal ʿalayhi wamā rabbuka bighāfilin ʿammā taʿmalūn
