The Believers — The Monotheist Group 2011 Edition Translation

ثُمَّ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلنُّطۡفَةَ عَلَقَةࣰ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡعَلَقَةَ مُضۡغَةࣰ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡمُضۡغَةَ عِظَـٰمࣰا فَكَسَوۡنَا ٱلۡعِظَـٰمَ لَحۡمࣰا ثُمَّ أَنشَأۡنَـٰهُ خَلۡقًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحۡسَنُ ٱلۡخَـٰلِقِینَ ۝١٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Then We created the seed into an embryo, then We created the embryo into a fetus, then We created the fetus into bone, then We covered the bone with flesh, then We brought forth a new creation. So glory be to God, the best of creators

thumma khalaqnā l-nuṭ'fata ʿalaqatan fakhalaqnā l-ʿalaqata muḍ'ghatan fakhalaqnā l-muḍ'ghata ʿiẓāman fakasawnā l-ʿiẓāma laḥman thumma anshanāhu khalqan ākhara fatabāraka l-lahu aḥsanu l-khāliqīn

23:15

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعۡدَ ذَ ٰلِكَ لَمَیِّتُونَ ۝١٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Then after that, you will die

thumma innakum baʿda dhālika lamayyitūn

23:16

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ تُبۡعَثُونَ ۝١٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Then you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection

thumma innakum yawma l-qiyāmati tub'ʿathūn

23:17

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعَ طَرَاۤىِٕقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ ٱلۡخَلۡقِ غَـٰفِلِینَ ۝١٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And We have created above you seven passageways, and We were never unaware of the creations

walaqad khalaqnā fawqakum sabʿa ṭarāiqa wamā kunnā ʿani l-khalqi ghāfilīn

23:18

وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءَۢ بِقَدَرࣲ فَأَسۡكَنَّـٰهُ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابِۭ بِهِۦ لَقَـٰدِرُونَ ۝١٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And We sent down from the sky water in due measure, then We let it reside in the land, and We are capable of taking it away

wa-anzalnā mina l-samāi māan biqadarin fa-askannāhu fī l-arḍi wa-innā ʿalā dhahābin bihi laqādirūn

23:19

فَأَنشَأۡنَا لَكُم بِهِۦ جَنَّـٰتࣲ مِّن نَّخِیلࣲ وَأَعۡنَـٰبࣲ لَّكُمۡ فِیهَا فَوَ ٰكِهُ كَثِیرَةࣱ وَمِنۡهَا تَأۡكُلُونَ ۝١٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So We brought forth for you gardens of palm trees and grapes, for which you will find many fruits and from it you will eat

fa-anshanā lakum bihi jannātin min nakhīlin wa-aʿnābin lakum fīhā fawākihu kathīratun wamin'hā takulūn

23:20

وَشَجَرَةࣰ تَخۡرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَیۡنَاۤءَ تَنۢبُتُ بِٱلدُّهۡنِ وَصِبۡغࣲ لِّلۡءَاكِلِینَ ۝٢٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And a tree which emerges from the mount of Sinai, it grows oil and is a relish for those who eat

washajaratan takhruju min ṭūri saynāa tanbutu bil-duh'ni waṣib'ghin lil'ākilīn

23:21

وَإِنَّ لَكُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِ لَعِبۡرَةࣰۖ نُّسۡقِیكُم مِّمَّا فِی بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمۡ فِیهَا مَنَـٰفِعُ كَثِیرَةࣱ وَمِنۡهَا تَأۡكُلُونَ ۝٢١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And in the livestock are lessons for you. We give you to drink from what is in its bellies, and you have many other benefits from them, and of them you eat

wa-inna lakum fī l-anʿāmi laʿib'ratan nus'qīkum mimmā fī buṭūnihā walakum fīhā manāfiʿu kathīratun wamin'hā takulūn

23:22

وَعَلَیۡهَا وَعَلَى ٱلۡفُلۡكِ تُحۡمَلُونَ ۝٢٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And on them and on the ships you are carried

waʿalayhā waʿalā l-ful'ki tuḥ'malūn

23:23

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ فَقَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَیۡرُهُۥۤۚ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝٢٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And We have sent Noah to his people, so he said: "O my people, serve God, you have no other god besides Him. Will you not take heed"

walaqad arsalnā nūḥan ilā qawmihi faqāla yāqawmi uʿ'budū l-laha mā lakum min ilāhin ghayruhu afalā tattaqūn

23:24

فَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوۡمِهِۦ مَا هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ یُرِیدُ أَن یَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ وَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةࣰ مَّا سَمِعۡنَا بِهَـٰذَا فِیۤ ءَابَاۤىِٕنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٢٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

But the leaders who rejected from among his people said: "What is this but a human like you He wants to make himself better than you! And if it was indeed God's will, He would have sent down Angels. We did not hear such a thing among our fathers of old."

faqāla l-mala-u alladhīna kafarū min qawmihi mā hādhā illā basharun mith'lukum yurīdu an yatafaḍḍala ʿalaykum walaw shāa l-lahu la-anzala malāikatan mā samiʿ'nā bihādhā fī ābāinā l-awalīn

23:25

إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلُۢ بِهِۦ جِنَّةࣱ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ حِینࣲ ۝٢٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"He is no more than a man who has madness in him. So keep watch on him for a while."

in huwa illā rajulun bihi jinnatun fatarabbaṣū bihi ḥattā ḥīni

23:26

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱنصُرۡنِی بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ ۝٢٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

He said: "My Lord, grant me victory for what they denied me."

qāla rabbi unṣur'nī bimā kadhabūn

23:27

فَأَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡهِ أَنِ ٱصۡنَعِ ٱلۡفُلۡكَ بِأَعۡیُنِنَا وَوَحۡیِنَا فَإِذَا جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُنَا وَفَارَ ٱلتَّنُّورُ فَٱسۡلُكۡ فِیهَا مِن كُلࣲّ زَوۡجَیۡنِ ٱثۡنَیۡنِ وَأَهۡلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَلَا تُخَـٰطِبۡنِی فِی ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوۤا۟ إِنَّهُم مُّغۡرَقُونَ ۝٢٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So We inspired him: "Construct the Ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration. Then, when Our command comes and the volcano erupts, then you shall take on the Ship two from every pair and your family, except for those of them upon whom the word has come. And do not address Me regarding those who have done wrong, for they will be drowned."

fa-awḥaynā ilayhi ani iṣ'naʿi l-ful'ka bi-aʿyuninā wawaḥyinā fa-idhā jāa amrunā wafāra l-tanūru fa-us'luk fīhā min kullin zawjayni ith'nayni wa-ahlaka illā man sabaqa ʿalayhi l-qawlu min'hum walā tukhāṭib'nī fī alladhīna ẓalamū innahum mugh'raqūn

23:28

فَإِذَا ٱسۡتَوَیۡتَ أَنتَ وَمَن مَّعَكَ عَلَى ٱلۡفُلۡكِ فَقُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِی نَجَّىٰنَا مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٢٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So when you and those who are with you have embarked on the ship, then Say: "All praise is due to God who has saved us from the wicked people."

fa-idhā is'tawayta anta waman maʿaka ʿalā l-ful'ki faquli l-ḥamdu lillahi alladhī najjānā mina l-qawmi l-ẓālimīn

23:29

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَنزِلۡنِی مُنزَلࣰا مُّبَارَكࣰا وَأَنتَ خَیۡرُ ٱلۡمُنزِلِینَ ۝٢٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And Say: "My Lord, cause me to embark upon a blessed place, for You are the best for those who embark."

waqul rabbi anzil'nī munzalan mubārakan wa-anta khayru l-munzilīn

23:30

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ وَإِن كُنَّا لَمُبۡتَلِینَ ۝٣٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

In this are signs, and We will always test

inna fī dhālika laāyātin wa-in kunnā lamub'talīn

23:31

ثُمَّ أَنشَأۡنَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ قَرۡنًا ءَاخَرِینَ ۝٣١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Then We raised after them a different generation

thumma anshanā min baʿdihim qarnan ākharīn

23:32

فَأَرۡسَلۡنَا فِیهِمۡ رَسُولࣰا مِّنۡهُمۡ أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَـٰهٍ غَیۡرُهُۥۤۚ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝٣٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So We sent a messenger to them from amongst them: "Serve God, you have no other god besides Him. Will you not take heed"

fa-arsalnā fīhim rasūlan min'hum ani uʿ'budū l-laha mā lakum min ilāhin ghayruhu afalā tattaqūn

23:33

وَقَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِن قَوۡمِهِ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِلِقَاۤءِ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ وَأَتۡرَفۡنَـٰهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا مَا هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ یَأۡكُلُ مِمَّا تَأۡكُلُونَ مِنۡهُ وَیَشۡرَبُ مِمَّا تَشۡرَبُونَ ۝٣٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And the leaders from amongst his people who rejected and denied the meeting of the Hereafter; and We indulged them in this worldly life; said: "What is this but a human like you He eats from what you eat and he drinks from what you drink."

waqāla l-mala-u min qawmihi alladhīna kafarū wakadhabū biliqāi l-ākhirati wa-atrafnāhum fī l-ḥayati l-dun'yā mā hādhā illā basharun mith'lukum yakulu mimmā takulūna min'hu wayashrabu mimmā tashrabūn

23:34

وَلَىِٕنۡ أَطَعۡتُم بَشَرࣰا مِّثۡلَكُمۡ إِنَّكُمۡ إِذࣰا لَّخَـٰسِرُونَ ۝٣٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"And if you obey a human like you, then you will indeed be losers."

wala-in aṭaʿtum basharan mith'lakum innakum idhan lakhāsirūn

23:35

أَیَعِدُكُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ إِذَا مِتُّمۡ وَكُنتُمۡ تُرَابࣰا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَنَّكُم مُّخۡرَجُونَ ۝٣٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"Does he promise you that if you die and become dust and bones that you will be brought out"

ayaʿidukum annakum idhā mittum wakuntum turāban waʿiẓāman annakum mukh'rajūn

23:36

۞ هَیۡهَاتَ هَیۡهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَ ۝٣٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"Far fetched is what you are being promised."

hayhāta hayhāta limā tūʿadūn

23:37

إِنۡ هِیَ إِلَّا حَیَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنۡیَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحۡیَا وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَبۡعُوثِینَ ۝٣٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"There is nothing but our worldly life, we die and we live, and we will not be resurrected."

in hiya illā ḥayātunā l-dun'yā namūtu wanaḥyā wamā naḥnu bimabʿūthīn

23:38

إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبࣰا وَمَا نَحۡنُ لَهُۥ بِمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٣٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"He is but a man who has invented a lie against God, and we will not believe in him."

in huwa illā rajulun if'tarā ʿalā l-lahi kadhiban wamā naḥnu lahu bimu'minīn

23:39

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱنصُرۡنِی بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ ۝٣٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

He said: "My Lord, grant me victory for what they denied me."

qāla rabbi unṣur'nī bimā kadhabūn

23:40

قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِیلࣲ لَّیُصۡبِحُنَّ نَـٰدِمِینَ ۝٤٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

He replied: "In a little while they will be in regret."

qāla ʿammā qalīlin layuṣ'biḥunna nādimīn

23:41

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُمۡ غُثَاۤءࣰۚ فَبُعۡدࣰا لِّلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٤١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So the scream took them with justice, and We made them as dead plants. So away with the wicked people

fa-akhadhathumu l-ṣayḥatu bil-ḥaqi fajaʿalnāhum ghuthāan fabuʿ'dan lil'qawmi l-ẓālimīn

23:42

ثُمَّ أَنشَأۡنَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ قُرُونًا ءَاخَرِینَ ۝٤٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Then We raised after them different generations

thumma anshanā min baʿdihim qurūnan ākharīn

23:43

مَا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا یَسۡتَءۡخِرُونَ ۝٤٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

No nation can hasten its appointed time, nor can it delay

mā tasbiqu min ummatin ajalahā wamā yastakhirūn

23:44

ثُمَّ أَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتۡرَاۖ كُلَّ مَا جَاۤءَ أُمَّةࣰ رَّسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُۖ فَأَتۡبَعۡنَا بَعۡضَهُم بَعۡضࣰا وَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُمۡ أَحَادِیثَۚ فَبُعۡدࣰا لِّقَوۡمࣲ لَّا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٤٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation their messenger, they denied him. So We made them follow one another, and We made them history. So away with a people who do not believe

thumma arsalnā rusulanā tatrā kulla mā jāa ummatan rasūluhā kadhabūhu fa-atbaʿnā baʿḍahum baʿḍan wajaʿalnāhum aḥādītha fabuʿ'dan liqawmin lā yu'minūn

23:45

ثُمَّ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوسَىٰ وَأَخَاهُ هَـٰرُونَ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا وَسُلۡطَـٰنࣲ مُّبِینٍ ۝٤٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority

thumma arsalnā mūsā wa-akhāhu hārūna biāyātinā wasul'ṭānin mubīni

23:46

إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِی۟هِۦ فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوۡمًا عَالِینَ ۝٤٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

To Pharaoh and his leaders. But they became arrogant, for they were a high and mighty people

ilā fir'ʿawna wamala-ihi fa-is'takbarū wakānū qawman ʿālīn

23:47

فَقَالُوۤا۟ أَنُؤۡمِنُ لِبَشَرَیۡنِ مِثۡلِنَا وَقَوۡمُهُمَا لَنَا عَـٰبِدُونَ ۝٤٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So they said: "Shall we believe to two humans like us, while their people are servants to us"

faqālū anu'minu libasharayni mith'linā waqawmuhumā lanā ʿābidūn

23:48

فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلۡمُهۡلَكِینَ ۝٤٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So they denied them, and they became of those who were destroyed

fakadhabūhumā fakānū mina l-muh'lakīn

23:49

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَهۡتَدُونَ ۝٤٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And We have given Moses the Scripture, so that they may be guided

walaqad ātaynā mūsā l-kitāba laʿallahum yahtadūn

23:50

وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱبۡنَ مَرۡیَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥۤ ءَایَةࣰ وَءَاوَیۡنَـٰهُمَاۤ إِلَىٰ رَبۡوَةࣲ ذَاتِ قَرَارࣲ وَمَعِینࣲ ۝٥٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and We gave them refuge on high ground, a place for resting and with a flowing stream

wajaʿalnā ib'na maryama wa-ummahu āyatan waāwaynāhumā ilā rabwatin dhāti qarārin wamaʿīni

23:51

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلرُّسُلُ كُلُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلطَّیِّبَـٰتِ وَٱعۡمَلُوا۟ صَـٰلِحًاۖ إِنِّی بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ عَلِیمࣱ ۝٥١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"O messengers, eat from what is good, and do righteous work. I am aware of what you do."

yāayyuhā l-rusulu kulū mina l-ṭayibāti wa-iʿ'malū ṣāliḥan innī bimā taʿmalūna ʿalīmu

23:52

وَإِنَّ هَـٰذِهِۦۤ أُمَّتُكُمۡ أُمَّةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمۡ فَٱتَّقُونِ ۝٥٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"And this is your nation, one nation, and I am your Lord so be aware."

wa-inna hādhihi ummatukum ummatan wāḥidatan wa-anā rabbukum fa-ittaqūn

23:53

فَتَقَطَّعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَهُم بَیۡنَهُمۡ زُبُرࣰاۖ كُلُّ حِزۡبِۭ بِمَا لَدَیۡهِمۡ فَرِحُونَ ۝٥٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

But the affair was disputed between them into segments. Every group happy with what it had

fataqaṭṭaʿū amrahum baynahum zuburan kullu ḥiz'bin bimā ladayhim fariḥūn

23:54

فَذَرۡهُمۡ فِی غَمۡرَتِهِمۡ حَتَّىٰ حِینٍ ۝٥٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So leave them in their error until a time

fadharhum fī ghamratihim ḥattā ḥīni

23:55

أَیَحۡسَبُونَ أَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُم بِهِۦ مِن مَّالࣲ وَبَنِینَ ۝٥٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Do they not think why We are extending them with wealth and childre

ayaḥsabūna annamā numidduhum bihi min mālin wabanīn

23:56

نُسَارِعُ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتِۚ بَل لَّا یَشۡعُرُونَ ۝٥٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

We are quick to give them the good things. But they do not perceive

nusāriʿu lahum fī l-khayrāti bal lā yashʿurūn

23:57

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ هُم مِّنۡ خَشۡیَةِ رَبِّهِم مُّشۡفِقُونَ ۝٥٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

As for those who are in reverence from the awareness of their Lord

inna alladhīna hum min khashyati rabbihim mush'fiqūn

23:58

وَٱلَّذِینَ هُم بِءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٥٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And they believe in the revelations of their Lord

wa-alladhīna hum biāyāti rabbihim yu'minūn

23:59

وَٱلَّذِینَ هُم بِرَبِّهِمۡ لَا یُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٥٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And they do not set up anything with their Lord

wa-alladhīna hum birabbihim lā yush'rikūn

23:60

وَٱلَّذِینَ یُؤۡتُونَ مَاۤ ءَاتَوا۟ وَّقُلُوبُهُمۡ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمۡ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ رَ ٰجِعُونَ ۝٦٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And they give of what they were given, and their hearts are full of reverence that they will return to their Lord

wa-alladhīna yu'tūna mā ātaw waqulūbuhum wajilatun annahum ilā rabbihim rājiʿūn

23:61

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ یُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِی ٱلۡخَیۡرَ ٰتِ وَهُمۡ لَهَا سَـٰبِقُونَ ۝٦١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

These are the ones who race in doing good, and they are the first to it

ulāika yusāriʿūna fī l-khayrāti wahum lahā sābiqūn

23:62

وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفۡسًا إِلَّا وُسۡعَهَاۚ وَلَدَیۡنَا كِتَـٰبࣱ یَنطِقُ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَهُمۡ لَا یُظۡلَمُونَ ۝٦٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And We do not burden a soul except with what it can bare. And We have a record that speaks with the truth, they will not be wronged

walā nukallifu nafsan illā wus'ʿahā waladaynā kitābun yanṭiqu bil-ḥaqi wahum lā yuẓ'lamūn

23:63

بَلۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡ فِی غَمۡرَةࣲ مِّنۡ هَـٰذَا وَلَهُمۡ أَعۡمَـٰلࣱ مِّن دُونِ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُمۡ لَهَا عَـٰمِلُونَ ۝٦٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

No, their hearts are unaware of this! And they have deeds besides this which they are doing

bal qulūbuhum fī ghamratin min hādhā walahum aʿmālun min dūni dhālika hum lahā ʿāmilūn

23:64

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَاۤ أَخَذۡنَا مُتۡرَفِیهِم بِٱلۡعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمۡ یَجۡءَرُونَ ۝٦٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Until We take their carefree people with the retribution, then they will shout for help

ḥattā idhā akhadhnā mut'rafīhim bil-ʿadhābi idhā hum yajarūn

23:65

لَا تَجۡءَرُوا۟ ٱلۡیَوۡمَۖ إِنَّكُم مِّنَّا لَا تُنصَرُونَ ۝٦٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Do not shout for help today, for you will not be helped against Us

lā tajarū l-yawma innakum minnā lā tunṣarūn

23:66

قَدۡ كَانَتۡ ءَایَـٰتِی تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡكُمۡ فَكُنتُمۡ عَلَىٰۤ أَعۡقَـٰبِكُمۡ تَنكِصُونَ ۝٦٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

My revelations were recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels

qad kānat āyātī tut'lā ʿalaykum fakuntum ʿalā aʿqābikum tankiṣūn

23:67

مُسۡتَكۡبِرِینَ بِهِۦ سَـٰمِرࣰا تَهۡجُرُونَ ۝٦٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

You were too proud from it, talking evil about it; and you defiantly disregarded it

mus'takbirīna bihi sāmiran tahjurūn

23:68

أَفَلَمۡ یَدَّبَّرُوا۟ ٱلۡقَوۡلَ أَمۡ جَاۤءَهُم مَّا لَمۡ یَأۡتِ ءَابَاۤءَهُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٦٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Did they not ponder the words, or has what come to them not come to their fathers of ol

afalam yaddabbarū l-qawla am jāahum mā lam yati ābāahumu l-awalīn

23:69

أَمۡ لَمۡ یَعۡرِفُوا۟ رَسُولَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ ۝٦٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Or did they not know their messenger For they are in denial of him

am lam yaʿrifū rasūlahum fahum lahu munkirūn

23:70

أَمۡ یَقُولُونَ بِهِۦ جِنَّةُۢۚ بَلۡ جَاۤءَهُم بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لِلۡحَقِّ كَـٰرِهُونَ ۝٧٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Or do they say that there is a madness in him No, he has come to them with the truth, but most of them are hateful of the truth

am yaqūlūna bihi jinnatun bal jāahum bil-ḥaqi wa-aktharuhum lil'ḥaqqi kārihūn

23:71

وَلَوِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلۡحَقُّ أَهۡوَاۤءَهُمۡ لَفَسَدَتِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَن فِیهِنَّۚ بَلۡ أَتَیۡنَـٰهُم بِذِكۡرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِهِم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ۝٧١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And if the truth were to follow their desires, then the heavens and the Earth and all who are in them would have been corrupted. No, We have come to them with their reminder, but from their reminder they are turning away

walawi ittabaʿa l-ḥaqu ahwāahum lafasadati l-samāwātu wal-arḍu waman fīhinna bal ataynāhum bidhik'rihim fahum ʿan dhik'rihim muʿ'riḍūn

23:72

أَمۡ تَسۡءَلُهُمۡ خَرۡجࣰا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَیۡرࣱۖ وَهُوَ خَیۡرُ ٱلرَّ ٰزِقِینَ ۝٧٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Or do you ask them for a wage The wage of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers

am tasaluhum kharjan fakharāju rabbika khayrun wahuwa khayru l-rāziqīn

23:73

وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدۡعُوهُمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ ۝٧٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And you are inviting them to a Straight Path

wa-innaka latadʿūhum ilā ṣirāṭin mus'taqīmi

23:74

وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ عَنِ ٱلصِّرَ ٰطِ لَنَـٰكِبُونَ ۝٧٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And those who do not believe in the Hereafter, they are deviating away from the path

wa-inna alladhīna lā yu'minūna bil-ākhirati ʿani l-ṣirāṭi lanākibūn

23:75

۞ وَلَوۡ رَحِمۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَكَشَفۡنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرࣲّ لَّلَجُّوا۟ فِی طُغۡیَـٰنِهِمۡ یَعۡمَهُونَ ۝٧٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And if We were to have mercy on them and remove what distress was upon them, they would still return to persist in their transgression, wandering blindly

walaw raḥim'nāhum wakashafnā mā bihim min ḍurrin lalajjū fī ṭugh'yānihim yaʿmahūn

23:76

وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَـٰهُم بِٱلۡعَذَابِ فَمَا ٱسۡتَكَانُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمۡ وَمَا یَتَضَرَّعُونَ ۝٧٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And when We seized them with the punishment, they did not humble themselves to their Lord nor did they invoke Him

walaqad akhadhnāhum bil-ʿadhābi famā is'takānū lirabbihim wamā yataḍarraʿūn

23:77

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا فَتَحۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم بَابࣰا ذَا عَذَابࣲ شَدِیدٍ إِذَا هُمۡ فِیهِ مُبۡلِسُونَ ۝٧٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Until We open for them a door of immense retribution, then they become in sorrow and despair

ḥattā idhā fataḥnā ʿalayhim bāban dhā ʿadhābin shadīdin idhā hum fīhi mub'lisūn

23:78

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡأَبۡصَـٰرَ وَٱلۡأَفۡءِدَةَۚ قَلِیلࣰا مَّا تَشۡكُرُونَ ۝٧٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And He is the One who established for you the hearing, and the sight, and the hearts. Little do you give thanks

wahuwa alladhī ansha-a lakumu l-samʿa wal-abṣāra wal-afidata qalīlan mā tashkurūn

23:79

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی ذَرَأَكُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَإِلَیۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ ۝٧٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And He is the One who multiplied you on the Earth, and to Him you will be returned

wahuwa alladhī dhara-akum fī l-arḍi wa-ilayhi tuḥ'sharūn

23:80

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی یُحۡیِۦ وَیُمِیتُ وَلَهُ ٱخۡتِلَـٰفُ ٱلَّیۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٨٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And He is the One who gives life and brings death, and to Him is the alteration of the night and the day. Do you not comprehen

wahuwa alladhī yuḥ'yī wayumītu walahu ikh'tilāfu al-layli wal-nahāri afalā taʿqilūn

23:81

بَلۡ قَالُوا۟ مِثۡلَ مَا قَالَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ ۝٨١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

No, they have said the same as what the people of old had said

bal qālū mith'la mā qāla l-awalūn

23:82

قَالُوۤا۟ أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ ۝٨٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

They said: "If we are dead and become dust and bones, will we then be resurrected"

qālū a-idhā mit'nā wakunnā turāban waʿiẓāman a-innā lamabʿūthūn

23:83

لَقَدۡ وُعِدۡنَا نَحۡنُ وَءَابَاۤؤُنَا هَـٰذَا مِن قَبۡلُ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّاۤ أَسَـٰطِیرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٨٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"We, as well as our fathers, have been promised this from before. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients."

laqad wuʿid'nā naḥnu waābāunā hādhā min qablu in hādhā illā asāṭīru l-awalīn

23:84

قُل لِّمَنِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَن فِیهَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٨٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Say: "To whom is the Earth and whosoever is in it if you know"

qul limani l-arḍu waman fīhā in kuntum taʿlamūn

23:85

سَیَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِۚ قُلۡ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٨٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

They will Say: "To God" Say: "Will you then not remember!"

sayaqūlūna lillahi qul afalā tadhakkarūn

23:86

قُلۡ مَن رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ ٱلسَّبۡعِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٨٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven universes and the Lord of the great throne"

qul man rabbu l-samāwāti l-sabʿi warabbu l-ʿarshi l-ʿaẓīm

23:87

سَیَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِۚ قُلۡ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝٨٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

They will Say: "To God." Say: "Will you then not take heed"

sayaqūlūna lillahi qul afalā tattaqūn

23:88

قُلۡ مَنۢ بِیَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَهُوَ یُجِیرُ وَلَا یُجَارُ عَلَیۡهِ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٨٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Say: "In whose hand is the sovereignty of all things, and He protects while there is no protector against Him, if you know"

qul man biyadihi malakūtu kulli shayin wahuwa yujīru walā yujāru ʿalayhi in kuntum taʿlamūn

23:89

سَیَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِۚ قُلۡ فَأَنَّىٰ تُسۡحَرُونَ ۝٨٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

They will Say: "To God." Say: "Then why are you deceived"

sayaqūlūna lillahi qul fa-annā tus'ḥarūn

23:90

بَلۡ أَتَیۡنَـٰهُم بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ ۝٩٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

No, We have come to them with the truth, and they are truly liars

bal ataynāhum bil-ḥaqi wa-innahum lakādhibūn

23:91

مَا ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِن وَلَدࣲ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُۥ مِنۡ إِلَـٰهٍۚ إِذࣰا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَـٰهِۭ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲۚ سُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا یَصِفُونَ ۝٩١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

God has not taken a son, nor is there with Him any god. If it were so, then every god would have taken what He created and they would have tried to overtake each other. God be glorified against what they describe

mā ittakhadha l-lahu min waladin wamā kāna maʿahu min ilāhin idhan ladhahaba kullu ilāhin bimā khalaqa walaʿalā baʿḍuhum ʿalā baʿḍin sub'ḥāna l-lahi ʿammā yaṣifūn

23:92

عَـٰلِمِ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ فَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا یُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٩٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

The knower of the unseen and the seen. Be He exalted above what they set up

qul rabbi immā turiyannī mā yūʿadūn

23:93

قُل رَّبِّ إِمَّا تُرِیَنِّی مَا یُوعَدُونَ ۝٩٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Say: "My Lord, if You show me what they are promised."

Qul rabbi imma turiyannee ma yooAAadoona

23:94

رَبِّ فَلَا تَجۡعَلۡنِی فِی ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٩٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"My Lord, then do not leave me amongst the wicked people."

rabbi falā tajʿalnī fī l-qawmi l-ẓālimīn

23:95

وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰۤ أَن نُّرِیَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمۡ لَقَـٰدِرُونَ ۝٩٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And We are able to show you what We promise them

wa-innā ʿalā an nuriyaka mā naʿiduhum laqādirūn

23:96

ٱدۡفَعۡ بِٱلَّتِی هِیَ أَحۡسَنُ ٱلسَّیِّئَةَۚ نَحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا یَصِفُونَ ۝٩٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Push away evil with that which is better. We are better aware of what they describe

id'faʿ bi-allatī hiya aḥsanu l-sayi-ata naḥnu aʿlamu bimā yaṣifūn

23:97

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنۡ هَمَزَ ٰتِ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینِ ۝٩٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge with you from the whispers of the devils."

waqul rabbi aʿūdhu bika min hamazāti l-shayāṭīn

23:98

وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن یَحۡضُرُونِ ۝٩٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"And I seek refuge with you O Lord that they should come near."

wa-aʿūdhu bika rabbi an yaḥḍurūn

23:99

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءَ أَحَدَهُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ٱرۡجِعُونِ ۝٩٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Until death comes to one of them, he says: "My Lord, send me back."

ḥattā idhā jāa aḥadahumu l-mawtu qāla rabbi ir'jiʿūn

23:100

لَعَلِّیۤ أَعۡمَلُ صَـٰلِحࣰا فِیمَا تَرَكۡتُۚ كَلَّاۤۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَاۤىِٕلُهَاۖ وَمِن وَرَاۤىِٕهِم بَرۡزَخٌ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ یُبۡعَثُونَ ۝١٠٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"So that I may do good in that which I have left behind." No, it is but a word he is speaking. And there is a barrier to prevent them from going back until the Day they are all resurrected

laʿallī aʿmalu ṣāliḥan fīmā taraktu kallā innahā kalimatun huwa qāiluhā wamin warāihim barzakhun ilā yawmi yub'ʿathūn

23:101

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِی ٱلصُّورِ فَلَاۤ أَنسَابَ بَیۡنَهُمۡ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ وَلَا یَتَسَاۤءَلُونَ ۝١٠١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So when the horn is blown, then there will be no kinship between them on that Day, nor will they ask for one another

fa-idhā nufikha fī l-ṣūri falā ansāba baynahum yawma-idhin walā yatasāalūn

23:102

فَمَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَ ٰزِینُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ ۝١٠٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So, those whose weight is heavy on the scales, then those are the successful ones

faman thaqulat mawāzīnuhu fa-ulāika humu l-muf'liḥūn

23:103

وَمَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَ ٰزِینُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ خَسِرُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فِی جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدُونَ ۝١٠٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And those whose weight is light on the scales, those are the ones who lost their souls, in Hell they will abide

waman khaffat mawāzīnuhu fa-ulāika alladhīna khasirū anfusahum fī jahannama khālidūn

23:104

تَلۡفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَهُمۡ فِیهَا كَـٰلِحُونَ ۝١٠٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

The Fire will scorch their faces, and in it their grin will be with displaced lips

talfaḥu wujūhahumu l-nāru wahum fīhā kāliḥūn

23:105

أَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ ءَایَـٰتِی تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡكُمۡ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝١٠٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"Were My revelations not recited to you, then you denied them"

alam takun āyātī tut'lā ʿalaykum fakuntum bihā tukadhibūn

23:106

قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتۡ عَلَیۡنَا شِقۡوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوۡمࣰا ضَاۤلِّینَ ۝١٠٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

They said: "Our Lord, our wickedness overcame us, and we were a misguided people."

qālū rabbanā ghalabat ʿalaynā shiq'watunā wakunnā qawman ḍāllīn

23:107

رَبَّنَاۤ أَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡهَا فَإِنۡ عُدۡنَا فَإِنَّا ظَـٰلِمُونَ ۝١٠٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"Our Lord, bring us out of it, and if we return to this then we are wicked."

rabbanā akhrij'nā min'hā fa-in ʿud'nā fa-innā ẓālimūn

23:108

قَالَ ٱخۡسَءُوا۟ فِیهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ ۝١٠٨

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

He said: "Be humiliated therein and do not speak to Me."

qāla ikh'saū fīhā walā tukallimūn

23:109

إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ فَرِیقࣱ مِّنۡ عِبَادِی یَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَاۤ ءَامَنَّا فَٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَٱرۡحَمۡنَا وَأَنتَ خَیۡرُ ٱلرَّ ٰحِمِینَ ۝١٠٩

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

There was a group from among My servants who used to Say: "Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us, and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of those who show mercy."

innahu kāna farīqun min ʿibādī yaqūlūna rabbanā āmannā fa-igh'fir lanā wa-ir'ḥamnā wa-anta khayru l-rāḥimīn

23:110

فَٱتَّخَذۡتُمُوهُمۡ سِخۡرِیًّا حَتَّىٰۤ أَنسَوۡكُمۡ ذِكۡرِی وَكُنتُم مِّنۡهُمۡ تَضۡحَكُونَ ۝١١٠

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

But you mocked them, so much so that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them

fa-ittakhadhtumūhum sikh'riyyan ḥattā ansawkum dhik'rī wakuntum min'hum taḍḥakūn

23:111

إِنِّی جَزَیۡتُهُمُ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوۤا۟ أَنَّهُمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡفَاۤىِٕزُونَ ۝١١١

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

I have rewarded them today for their patience, they are indeed the winners

innī jazaytuhumu l-yawma bimā ṣabarū annahum humu l-fāizūn

23:112

قَـٰلَ كَمۡ لَبِثۡتُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ عَدَدَ سِنِینَ ۝١١٢

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

Say: "How long have you stayed on Earth in terms of years"

qāla kam labith'tum fī l-arḍi ʿadada sinīn

23:113

قَالُوا۟ لَبِثۡنَا یَوۡمًا أَوۡ بَعۡضَ یَوۡمࣲ فَسۡءَلِ ٱلۡعَاۤدِّینَ ۝١١٣

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

They said: "We remained for a day, or for part of a day. So ask those who kept count."

qālū labith'nā yawman aw baʿḍa yawmin fasali l-ʿādīn

23:114

قَـٰلَ إِن لَّبِثۡتُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣰاۖ لَّوۡ أَنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝١١٤

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

He said: "You have remained for very little, if you knew."

qāla in labith'tum illā qalīlan law annakum kuntum taʿlamūn

23:115

أَفَحَسِبۡتُمۡ أَنَّمَا خَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ عَبَثࣰا وَأَنَّكُمۡ إِلَیۡنَا لَا تُرۡجَعُونَ ۝١١٥

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

"Did you think that We have created you without purpose, and that you would not return to Us"

afaḥasib'tum annamā khalaqnākum ʿabathan wa-annakum ilaynā lā tur'jaʿūn

23:116

فَتَعَـٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡكَرِیمِ ۝١١٦

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

So, exalted is God, the true King, there is no god but He, the Lord of the supreme throne

fataʿālā l-lahu l-maliku l-ḥaqu lā ilāha illā huwa rabbu l-ʿarshi l-karīm

23:117

وَمَن یَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَا بُرۡهَـٰنَ لَهُۥ بِهِۦ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا یُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ ۝١١٧

The Monotheist Group(2011 Edition)

And whosoever calls on another god with God when he has no proof for such, then his judgment is with his Lord. The rejecters will never succeed

waman yadʿu maʿa l-lahi ilāhan ākhara lā bur'hāna lahu bihi fa-innamā ḥisābuhu ʿinda rabbihi innahu lā yuf'liḥu l-kāfirūn

23:118

وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ وَٱرۡحَمۡ وَأَنتَ خَیۡرُ ٱلرَّ ٰحِمِینَ ۝١١٨

And Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are the best of those who are merciful."

waqul rabbi igh'fir wa-ir'ḥam wa-anta khayru l-rāḥimīn
