1 Truth of the Qur'an

وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ ٱلۡحَكِیمِ ۝٢

And by The Wise Quran.

wal-qur'āni l-ḥakīm

إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝٣

Surely you are among the messengers.

innaka lamina l-mur'salīn

عَلَىٰ صِرَ ٰطࣲ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣲ ۝٤

On a straight path.

tanzīla l-ʿazīzi l-raḥīm

تَنزِیلَ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ ۝٥

Downloading revelation (from) Al-Aziz (The Almighty), Al-Raheem (The merciful to his creation and himself).

Tanzeela alAAazeezi alrraheemi

لِتُنذِرَ قَوۡمࣰا مَّاۤ أُنذِرَ ءَابَاۤؤُهُمۡ فَهُمۡ غَـٰفِلُونَ ۝٦

To warn a kinfolk whose parents were not warned, so they are inattentive.

litundhira qawman mā undhira ābāuhum fahum ghāfilūn

لَقَدۡ حَقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَىٰۤ أَكۡثَرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٧

Already the saying was truthed upon most of them, so they are not believing.

laqad ḥaqqa l-qawlu ʿalā aktharihim fahum lā yu'minūn

إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَا فِیۤ أَعۡنَـٰقِهِمۡ أَغۡلَـٰلࣰا فَهِیَ إِلَى ٱلۡأَذۡقَانِ فَهُم مُّقۡمَحُونَ ۝٨

Surely, We have set up shackles in their necks, so it is up to the chins, so they have their heads raised, aloft.

innā jaʿalnā fī aʿnāqihim aghlālan fahiya ilā l-adhqāni fahum muq'maḥūn

وَجَعَلۡنَا مِنۢ بَیۡنِ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ سَدࣰّا وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ سَدࣰّا فَأَغۡشَیۡنَـٰهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا یُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٩

And We set up a dam from between their hands, and a dam from behind them, so We have over-covered them, so they are not seeing.

wajaʿalnā min bayni aydīhim saddan wamin khalfihim saddan fa-aghshaynāhum fahum lā yub'ṣirūn

وَسَوَاۤءٌ عَلَیۡهِمۡ ءَأَنذَرۡتَهُمۡ أَمۡ لَمۡ تُنذِرۡهُمۡ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝١٠

And it is the same upon them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not be believed.

wasawāon ʿalayhim a-andhartahum am lam tundhir'hum lā yu'minūn

إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَخَشِیَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنَ بِٱلۡغَیۡبِۖ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِمَغۡفِرَةࣲ وَأَجۡرࣲ كَرِیمٍ ۝١١

You warn only him who followed the Reminder, and awed Al-Rahman (The Widely merciful) with the unseen. So, preach (Good tidings) him with forgiveness, and a noble wage.

innamā tundhiru mani ittabaʿa l-dhik'ra wakhashiya l-raḥmāna bil-ghaybi fabashir'hu bimaghfiratin wa-ajrin karīmi

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡیِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَنَكۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا۟ وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمۡۚ وَكُلَّ شَیۡءٍ أَحۡصَیۡنَـٰهُ فِیۤ إِمَامࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝١٢

Surely, We give life to the dead; and We write down what they have forwarded, and their traces. And everything We have enumerated in an obvious Imam (Record Book).

innā naḥnu nuḥ'yī l-mawtā wanaktubu mā qaddamū waāthārahum wakulla shayin aḥṣaynāhu fī imāmin mubīni

2 Confirmation of the Truth

وَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصۡحَـٰبَ ٱلۡقَرۡیَةِ إِذۡ جَاۤءَهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ۝١٣

And cite for them an example of the village’ companions, when the messengers came to it.

wa-iḍ'rib lahum mathalan aṣḥāba l-qaryati idh jāahā l-mur'salūn

إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡهِمُ ٱثۡنَیۡنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزۡنَا بِثَالِثࣲ فَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّاۤ إِلَیۡكُم مُّرۡسَلُونَ ۝١٤

When We sent to them two, so they falsified them, So We strengthened them with a third, so they said, "Surely, we are messengers to you."

idh arsalnā ilayhimu ith'nayni fakadhabūhumā faʿazzaznā bithālithin faqālū innā ilaykum mur'salūn

قَالُوا۟ مَاۤ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُنَا وَمَاۤ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ مِن شَیۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا تَكۡذِبُونَ ۝١٥

They said, “You are not except humankinds like us, and Al-Rahman (The Widely merciful) did not send down a thing; you are not except lying.”

qālū mā antum illā basharun mith'lunā wamā anzala l-raḥmānu min shayin in antum illā takdhibūn

قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا یَعۡلَمُ إِنَّاۤ إِلَیۡكُمۡ لَمُرۡسَلُونَ ۝١٦

They said, “Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you.

qālū rabbunā yaʿlamu innā ilaykum lamur'salūn

وَمَا عَلَیۡنَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡبَلَـٰغُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ ۝١٧

And nought upon us except the obvious notification.”

wamā ʿalaynā illā l-balāghu l-mubīn

قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّا تَطَیَّرۡنَا بِكُمۡۖ لَىِٕن لَّمۡ تَنتَهُوا۟ لَنَرۡجُمَنَّكُمۡ وَلَیَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِیمࣱ ۝١٨

They said, “We augur, our evil bird omen is by you; If you do not desist, we will stone you, and there will touch you, from us, a painful torment."

qālū innā taṭayyarnā bikum la-in lam tantahū lanarjumannakum walayamassannakum minnā ʿadhābun alīmu

قَالُوا۟ طَـٰۤىِٕرُكُم مَّعَكُمۡ أَىِٕن ذُكِّرۡتُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ مُّسۡرِفُونَ ۝١٩

They said, “Your evil bird omen is with you. Is it because you were reminded? Nay, but you are an extravagant kinfolk.”

qālū ṭāirukum maʿakum a-in dhukkir'tum bal antum qawmun mus'rifūn

وَجَاۤءَ مِنۡ أَقۡصَا ٱلۡمَدِینَةِ رَجُلࣱ یَسۡعَىٰ قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝٢٠

And a man came from the farthest part of the city pursued. He said, “O kinfolk, follow the messengers.

wajāa min aqṣā l-madīnati rajulun yasʿā qāla yāqawmi ittabiʿū l-mur'salīn

ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَن لَّا یَسۡءَلُكُمۡ أَجۡرࣰا وَهُم مُّهۡتَدُونَ ۝٢١

Follow those who are not asking you a wage, and they are guided.

ittabiʿū man lā yasalukum ajran wahum muh'tadūn

وَمَا لِیَ لَاۤ أَعۡبُدُ ٱلَّذِی فَطَرَنِی وَإِلَیۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ۝٢٢

“And why should I not worship the one Who originated me, and to Him you will be returning?

wamā liya lā aʿbudu alladhī faṭaranī wa-ilayhi tur'jaʿūn

ءَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِۦۤ ءَالِهَةً إِن یُرِدۡنِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ بِضُرࣲّ لَّا تُغۡنِ عَنِّی شَفَـٰعَتُهُمۡ شَیۡءࣰا وَلَا یُنقِذُونِ ۝٢٣

Shall I take without Him gods? If Al-Rahman (The Widely merciful) wants harm for me, their intercession will not avail me about a thing, nor will they rescue me.

a-attakhidhu min dūnihi ālihatan in yurid'ni l-raḥmānu biḍurrin lā tugh'ni ʿannī shafāʿatuhum shayan walā yunqidhūn

إِنِّیۤ إِذࣰا لَّفِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینٍ ۝٢٤

Surely, I would then be in obvious astray.

innī idhan lafī ḍalālin mubīni

إِنِّیۤ ءَامَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمۡ فَٱسۡمَعُونِ ۝٢٥

Surely, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me.”

innī āmantu birabbikum fa-is'maʿūn

قِیلَ ٱدۡخُلِ ٱلۡجَنَّةَۖ قَالَ یَـٰلَیۡتَ قَوۡمِی یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٢٦

It is said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "O I wish my kinfolk were knowing.

qīla ud'khuli l-janata qāla yālayta qawmī yaʿlamūn

بِمَا غَفَرَ لِی رَبِّی وَجَعَلَنِی مِنَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِینَ ۝٢٧

With what my Lord has forgiven me and set me among the honorable ones.”

bimā ghafara lī rabbī wajaʿalanī mina l-muk'ramīn

۞ وَمَاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ مِن جُندࣲ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِینَ ۝٢٨

And We did not send down upon his kinfolk after him any troops from the sky, nor would We ever send.

wamā anzalnā ʿalā qawmihi min baʿdihi min jundin mina l-samāi wamā kunnā munzilīn

إِن كَانَتۡ إِلَّا صَیۡحَةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ فَإِذَا هُمۡ خَـٰمِدُونَ ۝٢٩

It was not except one shout, so then they were extinguished.

in kānat illā ṣayḥatan wāḥidatan fa-idhā hum khāmidūn

یَـٰحَسۡرَةً عَلَى ٱلۡعِبَادِۚ مَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝٣٠

O Alas upon the slaves. They did not come to them as a messenger except that they were ridiculed by him.

yāḥasratan ʿalā l-ʿibādi mā yatīhim min rasūlin illā kānū bihi yastahziūn

أَلَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمۡ إِلَیۡهِمۡ لَا یَرۡجِعُونَ ۝٣١

Have they not seen how many among generations We destroyed before them, that they are to them not returning.

alam yaraw kam ahlaknā qablahum mina l-qurūni annahum ilayhim lā yarjiʿūn

وَإِن كُلࣱّ لَّمَّا جَمِیعࣱ لَّدَیۡنَا مُحۡضَرُونَ ۝٣٢

And surely all of them then all together be brought on.

wa-in kullun lammā jamīʿun ladaynā muḥ'ḍarūn

3 Signs of the Truth

وَءَایَةࣱ لَّهُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ ٱلۡمَیۡتَةُ أَحۡیَیۡنَـٰهَا وَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مِنۡهَا حَبࣰّا فَمِنۡهُ یَأۡكُلُونَ ۝٣٣

And a verse for them is the dead land. We gave life to it and exited from it grain, so from it they are eating.

waāyatun lahumu l-arḍu l-maytatu aḥyaynāhā wa-akhrajnā min'hā ḥabban famin'hu yakulūn

وَجَعَلۡنَا فِیهَا جَنَّـٰتࣲ مِّن نَّخِیلࣲ وَأَعۡنَـٰبࣲ وَفَجَّرۡنَا فِیهَا مِنَ ٱلۡعُیُونِ ۝٣٤

And We set up in it paradises among palm-trees and grapevines, and burst within it among the springs.

wajaʿalnā fīhā jannātin min nakhīlin wa-aʿnābin wafajjarnā fīhā mina l-ʿuyūn

لِیَأۡكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتۡهُ أَیۡدِیهِمۡۚ أَفَلَا یَشۡكُرُونَ ۝٣٥

To eat among its fruitage, and from what their hands have worked. So, will they be thankful.?

liyakulū min thamarihi wamā ʿamilathu aydīhim afalā yashkurūn

سُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلۡأَزۡوَ ٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمِنۡ أَنفُسِهِمۡ وَمِمَّا لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٣٦

Glorified is the one who created all the pairs; from what the earth sprouts, and from themselves, and from what they are not knowing.

sub'ḥāna alladhī khalaqa l-azwāja kullahā mimmā tunbitu l-arḍu wamin anfusihim wamimmā lā yaʿlamūn

وَءَایَةࣱ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّیۡلُ نَسۡلَخُ مِنۡهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظۡلِمُونَ ۝٣٧

And a verse for them is the night: We slough the day from it, so they are in darkness.

waāyatun lahumu al-laylu naslakhu min'hu l-nahāra fa-idhā hum muẓ'limūn

وَٱلشَّمۡسُ تَجۡرِی لِمُسۡتَقَرࣲّ لَّهَاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ تَقۡدِیرُ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلۡعَلِیمِ ۝٣٨

And the sun runs towards settlement for it. That is an estimation of Al-Aziz (The Almighty), Al-Aalim (The Knowledgeable).

wal-shamsu tajrī limus'taqarrin lahā dhālika taqdīru l-ʿazīzi l-ʿalīm

وَٱلۡقَمَرَ قَدَّرۡنَـٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلۡعُرۡجُونِ ٱلۡقَدِیمِ ۝٣٩

And the moon: We have measured it in phases, until it returns like the old date stalk.

wal-qamara qaddarnāhu manāzila ḥattā ʿāda kal-ʿur'jūni l-qadīm

لَا ٱلشَّمۡسُ یَنۢبَغِی لَهَاۤ أَن تُدۡرِكَ ٱلۡقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّیۡلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِۚ وَكُلࣱّ فِی فَلَكࣲ یَسۡبَحُونَ ۝٤٠

The sun should not reach the moon, nor is the night to outstrip the day. And all, in an orbit, are swimming.

lā l-shamsu yanbaghī lahā an tud'rika l-qamara walā al-laylu sābiqu l-nahāri wakullun fī falakin yasbaḥūn

وَءَایَةࣱ لَّهُمۡ أَنَّا حَمَلۡنَا ذُرِّیَّتَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ ۝٤١

And a verse for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark.

waāyatun lahum annā ḥamalnā dhurriyyatahum fī l-ful'ki l-mashḥūn

وَخَلَقۡنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثۡلِهِۦ مَا یَرۡكَبُونَ ۝٤٢

And We created for them from the like of it, which they are riding.

wakhalaqnā lahum min mith'lihi mā yarkabūn

وَإِن نَّشَأۡ نُغۡرِقۡهُمۡ فَلَا صَرِیخَ لَهُمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ یُنقَذُونَ ۝٤٣

If We will, We can drown them, so there is no responder to their screaming, nor will they be rescued.

wa-in nasha nugh'riq'hum falā ṣarīkha lahum walā hum yunqadhūn

إِلَّا رَحۡمَةࣰ مِّنَّا وَمَتَـٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِینࣲ ۝٤٤

Except mercy from Us, and enjoyment till a while.

illā raḥmatan minnā wamatāʿan ilā ḥīni

وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ مَا بَیۡنَ أَیۡدِیكُمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ ۝٤٥

And when it is said for them, “Show the piety of what is between your hands, and what is behind you, perhaps you may be mercified.”

wa-idhā qīla lahumu ittaqū mā bayna aydīkum wamā khalfakum laʿallakum tur'ḥamūn

وَمَا تَأۡتِیهِم مِّنۡ ءَایَةࣲ مِّنۡ ءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِینَ ۝٤٦

And none among a verse came to them from their Lord’s verses, except they are from it averting.

wamā tatīhim min āyatin min āyāti rabbihim illā kānū ʿanhā muʿ'riḍīn

وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمۡ أَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ قَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ أَنُطۡعِمُ مَن لَّوۡ یَشَاۤءُ ٱللَّهُ أَطۡعَمَهُۥۤ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٤٧

And if it is said for them, "Spend from what Allah provides livelihood for you," those who disbelieved said for those who believed, "Should we feed whoever, if Allah had willed, He would have fed him? Surely you are not except, in obvious astray."

wa-idhā qīla lahum anfiqū mimmā razaqakumu l-lahu qāla alladhīna kafarū lilladhīna āmanū anuṭ'ʿimu man law yashāu l-lahu aṭʿamahu in antum illā fī ḍalālin mubīni

وَیَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٤٨

And they say, “When will this promise be, if you are truthful ones?”

wayaqūlūna matā hādhā l-waʿdu in kuntum ṣādiqīn

مَا یَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَیۡحَةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ تَأۡخُذُهُمۡ وَهُمۡ یَخِصِّمُونَ ۝٤٩

They do not await except one shout which will take them while they are disputing.

mā yanẓurūna illā ṣayḥatan wāḥidatan takhudhuhum wahum yakhiṣṣimūn

فَلَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ تَوۡصِیَةࣰ وَلَاۤ إِلَىٰۤ أَهۡلِهِمۡ یَرۡجِعُونَ ۝٥٠

So, they cannot bequest, nor to their families will they return.

falā yastaṭīʿūna tawṣiyatan walā ilā ahlihim yarjiʿūn

4 Reward and Punishment

وَنُفِخَ فِی ٱلصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ یَنسِلُونَ ۝٥١

And it was blown in the Trumpet, so then, they are from the burial sites to their Lord, swarming Fastly.

wanufikha fī l-ṣūri fa-idhā hum mina l-ajdāthi ilā rabbihim yansilūn

قَالُوا۟ یَـٰوَیۡلَنَا مَنۢ بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرۡقَدِنَاۜۗ هَـٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَصَدَقَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ۝٥٢

They said, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?” This is what Al-Rahman (The Widely Merciful) had promised, and the messengers have spoken the right.”

qālū yāwaylanā man baʿathanā min marqadinā hādhā mā waʿada l-raḥmānu waṣadaqa l-mur'salūn

إِن كَانَتۡ إِلَّا صَیۡحَةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ فَإِذَا هُمۡ جَمِیعࣱ لَّدَیۡنَا مُحۡضَرُونَ ۝٥٣

Surely it was not except one shout, so then they will altogether be brought attendees.

in kānat illā ṣayḥatan wāḥidatan fa-idhā hum jamīʿun ladaynā muḥ'ḍarūn

فَٱلۡیَوۡمَ لَا تُظۡلَمُ نَفۡسࣱ شَیۡءࣰا وَلَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٥٤

So today no soul will be oppressed by a thing, and you will not be recompensed except for what you were working on.

fal-yawma lā tuẓ'lamu nafsun shayan walā tuj'zawna illā mā kuntum taʿmalūn

إِنَّ أَصۡحَـٰبَ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ فِی شُغُلࣲ فَـٰكِهُونَ ۝٥٥

Surely, The Paradise's Companions, Today, will be joyfully busy.

inna aṣḥāba l-janati l-yawma fī shughulin fākihūn

هُمۡ وَأَزۡوَ ٰجُهُمۡ فِی ظِلَـٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَاۤىِٕكِ مُتَّكِءُونَ ۝٥٦

They and their spouses, in shades, reclining on couches.

hum wa-azwājuhum fī ẓilālin ʿalā l-arāiki muttakiūn

لَهُمۡ فِیهَا فَـٰكِهَةࣱ وَلَهُم مَّا یَدَّعُونَ ۝٥٧

They will have fruits therein. And for them whatever they call for.

lahum fīhā fākihatun walahum mā yaddaʿūn

سَلَـٰمࣱ قَوۡلࣰا مِّن رَّبࣲّ رَّحِیمࣲ ۝٥٨

Peace, a saying from a Most Merciful Lord.

salāmun qawlan min rabbin raḥīmi

وَٱمۡتَـٰزُوا۟ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ أَیُّهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٥٩

And be distinctive Today, O criminals.

wa-im'tāzū l-yawma ayyuhā l-muj'rimūn

۞ أَلَمۡ أَعۡهَدۡ إِلَیۡكُمۡ یَـٰبَنِیۤ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنَۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوࣱّ مُّبِینࣱ ۝٦٠

Did I not covenant to you, O Adam's children, that you shall not worship Satan? Surely, he is for you an obvious enemy?

alam aʿhad ilaykum yābanī ādama an lā taʿbudū l-shayṭāna innahu lakum ʿaduwwun mubīnu

وَأَنِ ٱعۡبُدُونِیۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَ ٰطࣱ مُّسۡتَقِیمࣱ ۝٦١

And that you worship Me? This is a straight path.

wa-ani uʿ'budūnī hādhā ṣirāṭun mus'taqīmu

وَلَقَدۡ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمۡ جِبِلࣰّا كَثِیرًاۖ أَفَلَمۡ تَكُونُوا۟ تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٦٢

And he has already strayed a great horde among you. So, were yourselves not reasoning?

walaqad aḍalla minkum jibillan kathīran afalam takūnū taʿqilūn

هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِی كُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ ۝٦٣

This is Gohanam (Hellfire), which you were promised.

hādhihi jahannamu allatī kuntum tūʿadūn

ٱصۡلَوۡهَا ٱلۡیَوۡمَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ ۝٦٤

Be flamed in it Today, by what you were disbelieving.

iṣ'lawhā l-yawma bimā kuntum takfurūn

ٱلۡیَوۡمَ نَخۡتِمُ عَلَىٰۤ أَفۡوَ ٰهِهِمۡ وَتُكَلِّمُنَاۤ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ وَتَشۡهَدُ أَرۡجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَكۡسِبُونَ ۝٦٥

Today, We will seal upon their mouths, and their hands will speak Us, and their feet will witness with what they were earning.

al-yawma nakhtimu ʿalā afwāhihim watukallimunā aydīhim watashhadu arjuluhum bimā kānū yaksibūn

وَلَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَطَمَسۡنَا عَلَىٰۤ أَعۡیُنِهِمۡ فَٱسۡتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَ ٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ یُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٦٦

And if We willed, We could have obliterated upon their eyes, so they would race to the path, so how could they see?

walaw nashāu laṭamasnā ʿalā aʿyunihim fa-is'tabaqū l-ṣirāṭa fa-annā yub'ṣirūn

وَلَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَمَسَخۡنَـٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمۡ فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَـٰعُوا۟ مُضِیࣰّا وَلَا یَرۡجِعُونَ ۝٦٧

And if We will, We can deformed them in their places; so they can neither move forward, nor return back.

walaw nashāu lamasakhnāhum ʿalā makānatihim famā is'taṭāʿū muḍiyyan walā yarjiʿūn

5 The Resurrection

وَمَن نُّعَمِّرۡهُ نُنَكِّسۡهُ فِی ٱلۡخَلۡقِۚ أَفَلَا یَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٦٨

And whomever We outlive him, We reverse him in the creation. So, will they not be reasoning?

waman nuʿammir'hu nunakkis'hu fī l-khalqi afalā yaʿqilūn

وَمَا عَلَّمۡنَـٰهُ ٱلشِّعۡرَ وَمَا یَنۢبَغِی لَهُۥۤۚ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرࣱ وَقُرۡءَانࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝٦٩

And We did not teach him the poetry, nor is it shall be for him. Surely it is none except a reminder, and an obvious Quran.

wamā ʿallamnāhu l-shiʿ'ra wamā yanbaghī lahu in huwa illā dhik'run waqur'ānun mubīnu

لِّیُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَیࣰّا وَیَحِقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَى ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ ۝٧٠

To warn whoever is alive and truth the saying against the infidels.

liyundhira man kāna ḥayyan wayaḥiqqa l-qawlu ʿalā l-kāfirīn

أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتۡ أَیۡدِینَاۤ أَنۡعَـٰمࣰا فَهُمۡ لَهَا مَـٰلِكُونَ ۝٧١

Have they not seen that We created for them, from what Our hands have worked livestock, so they are owners for them?

awalam yaraw annā khalaqnā lahum mimmā ʿamilat aydīnā anʿāman fahum lahā mālikūn

وَذَلَّلۡنَـٰهَا لَهُمۡ فَمِنۡهَا رَكُوبُهُمۡ وَمِنۡهَا یَأۡكُلُونَ ۝٧٢

And We subjected them to them. So, among them their ride, and among them they are eating.

wadhallalnāhā lahum famin'hā rakūbuhum wamin'hā yakulūn

وَلَهُمۡ فِیهَا مَنَـٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُۚ أَفَلَا یَشۡكُرُونَ ۝٧٣

And for them within it, are benefits and drinks, so will they not be thanking?

walahum fīhā manāfiʿu wamashāribu afalā yashkurūn

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةࣰ لَّعَلَّهُمۡ یُنصَرُونَ ۝٧٤

And they have taken gods without Allah, perhaps they may have got victory.

wa-ittakhadhū min dūni l-lahi ālihatan laʿallahum yunṣarūn

لَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ نَصۡرَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ لَهُمۡ جُندࣱ مُّحۡضَرُونَ ۝٧٥

They cannot give them victory, and for them they are troops to bring them in.

lā yastaṭīʿūna naṣrahum wahum lahum jundun muḥ'ḍarūn

فَلَا یَحۡزُنكَ قَوۡلُهُمۡۘ إِنَّا نَعۡلَمُ مَا یُسِرُّونَ وَمَا یُعۡلِنُونَ ۝٧٦

So let their saying not grieve you. Surely, We know what they secret, and what they announce.

falā yaḥzunka qawluhum innā naʿlamu mā yusirrūna wamā yuʿ'linūn

أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن نُّطۡفَةࣲ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِیمࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝٧٧

Has the human not seen that We created him from a sperm-drop? so then he is an obvious disputant.

awalam yara l-insānu annā khalaqnāhu min nuṭ'fatin fa-idhā huwa khaṣīmun mubīnu

وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلࣰا وَنَسِیَ خَلۡقَهُۥۖ قَالَ مَن یُحۡیِ ٱلۡعِظَـٰمَ وَهِیَ رَمِیمࣱ ۝٧٨

And he cited for Us an example and forgot his creation. He said, "Who will give life to the bones while they are decomposed?"

waḍaraba lanā mathalan wanasiya khalqahu qāla man yuḥ'yī l-ʿiẓāma wahiya ramīmu

قُلۡ یُحۡیِیهَا ٱلَّذِیۤ أَنشَأَهَاۤ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةࣲۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلۡقٍ عَلِیمٌ ۝٧٩

Say, "He will give them life, the one who instituted them the first time; and He is with all creation, Knowledgeable."

qul yuḥ'yīhā alladhī ansha-ahā awwala marratin wahuwa bikulli khalqin ʿalīmu

ٱلَّذِی جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلۡأَخۡضَرِ نَارࣰا فَإِذَاۤ أَنتُم مِّنۡهُ تُوقِدُونَ ۝٨٠

The one who sets up for you from the green trees, a fire, so behold you kindle from it.

alladhī jaʿala lakum mina l-shajari l-akhḍari nāran fa-idhā antum min'hu tūqidūn

أَوَ لَیۡسَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰۤ أَن یَخۡلُقَ مِثۡلَهُمۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝٨١

Is not the one who created the skies and the earth able to create the like of them? Yes, and He is Al-Khalaq (The Creator), Al-Aalim (The Knowledgeable).

awalaysa alladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa biqādirin ʿalā an yakhluqa mith'lahum balā wahuwa l-khalāqu l-ʿalīm

إِنَّمَاۤ أَمۡرُهُۥۤ إِذَاۤ أَرَادَ شَیۡءًا أَن یَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَیَكُونُ ۝٨٢

His command is only if He wants a thing that He says to it, "Be," so it is.

innamā amruhu idhā arāda shayan an yaqūla lahu kun fayakūn

فَسُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِی بِیَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَإِلَیۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ۝٨٣

So glorified is the one, who is in His hand the dominion of everything, and to Him you will be returning.

fasub'ḥāna alladhī biyadihi malakūtu kulli shayin wa-ilayhi tur'jaʿūn
