The Criterion, The Standard 25:37

لَّمَّا lammā

كَذَّبُوا۟ kadhabū

ٱلرُّسُلَ l-rusula
the Messengers Noun
أَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ aghraqnāhum
We drowned them V
وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ wajaʿalnāhum
and We made them V
لِلنَّاسِ lilnnāsi
for mankind Noun
ءَايَةً āyatan
a sign Noun
وَأَعْتَدْنَا wa-aʿtadnā
And We have prepared V
لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ lilẓẓālimīna
for the wrongdoers Noun
عَذَابًا ʿadhāban
a punishment Noun
أَلِيمًا alīman
painful Noun

The people of Noah, too: when they rejected their messengers, We drowned them and made them an example to all people. We have prepared a painful torment for the evildoers

وَقَوۡمَ نُوحࣲ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا۟ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغۡرَقۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُمۡ لِلنَّاسِ ءَایَةࣰۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِینَ عَذَابًا أَلِیمࣰا ۝٣٧

waqawma nūḥin lammā kadhabū l-rusula aghraqnāhum wajaʿalnāhum lilnnāsi āyatan wa-aʿtadnā lilẓẓālimīna ʿadhāban alīma
