ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَاۤ أَسۡخَطَ ٱللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا۟ رِضۡوَ ٰنَهُۥ فَأَحۡبَطَ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ ٢٨
dhālika bi-annahumu ittabaʿū mā askhaṭa l-laha wakarihū riḍ'wānahu fa-aḥbaṭa aʿmālahu
because they practised things that incurred God’s wrath, and disdained to please Him? He makes their deeds go to waste
That is because they followed what angered Allah and hated what pleased Him. So He made their deeds wasted.
That is because they followed that which angered Allah and detested His good-will; so He made their works of non-effect
Because they followed what displeases God, and they were averse to pleasing Him. So We nullified their deeds
It is thus! This is because they followed things that angered Allah; they did not like (the way of) His pleasure, and Allah made their deeds worthless!
That is because they followed what angers Allah and hated what is pleasing to Him. So He made their actions come to nothing.
That, because they pursued what displeased Allah, and loathed His pleasure. So He has made their works fail
This is because they have followed what incurs God’s wrath (condemnation), and are averse to what pleases Him, and so He has caused all their (previous good) deeds to go to waste
(They will be treated) thus, because they followed that which called forth the displeasure of Allah and were averse to (seeking) His good pleasure. That is why He will make their deeds fruitless
That is because they have followed what angers God, and have been averse to His good pleasure, so He has made their works to fail
That is because they followed what angered God and they disliked His pleasure, so He made their works useless.
That is because, they turned away from the things that pleases God and adapted a way of life that made God angry at them. All their deeds therefore turned fruitless
This is because they followed that which deserved the punishment of God, and they hated God's blessings, so He made their deeds of no effect
That is because they followed what angered Allah, and they disliked His good pleasure, so He nullified their deeds.
This is because they follow what angers God and are averse from His goodwill; and their works are void
This is because they followed the matter which displeases Allah, and they disliked what pleases Him - He therefore squandered away all their deeds
That is so because they followed that which caused Allah’s wrath and they hated His pleasure so He caused their deeds to come to naught.
This shall they suffer, because they follow that which provoketh God to wrath, and are averse to what is well pleasing unto Him: And He will render their works vain
That is because they follow what is displeasing to Allah and are averse to His pleasure, therefore, He has made null their deeds
That is because they follow what angers Allah and hate His pleasure, therefore He has annulled their deeds
This - because they follow that which angereth God, and abhor what pleaseth Him: therefore will He make their works fruitless
That is because they followed which angered Allah, and they disliked His pleasure and assents. So He made their deeds go waste
That is because they followed what displeased God and they disliked His contentment so He caused their actions to fail.
This will be because they followed that which inflicted the wrath of Allah. They despised Allah’s good pleasure, so He made their deeds worthless.
That will happen because they followed the way that called for the wrath of Allah and hated to adopt the way of His pleasure, therefore He made all their deeds void
That is because they have followed a way that angered Allah, and have been averse to His good pleasure. So He reduced all their works to nought
That is because they follow that which displeases Allah and are averse to His pleasure, so He makes their deeds fruitless
That is because, they followed that which displeased Allah and disliked pleasing Him, therefore He made their deeds fruitless.
Because, they pursue what angers Allah and shun what pleases Him. And so He has made their deeds worthless
That is because they followed that (path) which displeases Allah and disliked His good pleasure; so He made (all) their actions null and void
That is because they followed that which angered God, and they hated that which pleased Him. Thus, He nullified their works
That is because they followed that which angered God, and they hated that which pleased Him. Thus, He nullified their works
That is because they followed that which angered God, and they hated that which pleased Him. Thus, He nullified their works.
That (is) with that they followed what angered/dissatisfied God, and they hated His acceptance/satisfaction , so He wasted/invalidated their deeds
This, because they were wont to pursue what God condemns and to hate [whatever would meet with] His goodly acceptance: and so He has caused all their [good] deeds to come to nought
That is for that they have closely followed what causes wrath from Allah and hated His all-blessed Satisfaction; so He frustrated their deeds
That will be because they followed that which angereth Allah, and hated that which pleaseth Him. Therefor He hath made their actions vain
for their following that which had incurred God's anger, and their hatred to please God. Thus, God has made their deeds devoid of all virtue
That is because they followed that which has angered Allah, and they disliked His pleasure; therefore He has nullified their deeds
That is because they have followed what provokes the wrath of Allâh, and loathed His good pleasure. Thus, He made their deeds null and void.
Their good deeds lost their worth, because they followed that which displeases Allah, and because they dislike seeking the pleasure of Allah
That is because they yield to what provokes the wrath of Allâh and loathes His good pleasure. So He has nullified their deeds.
So be it, because they practiced the vices incidental to paganism and hypocrisy: disobedience, intrigues and vices which Allah detests and has forbidden. They allied themselves to the enemies of Allah and His Messenger and bore malice to every propitious action that pleases Allah and so He Imprinted their deeds with irreverence, profanity and damnation
That punishment will be because they followed what angers Allah, and they disliked seeking divine pleasure, so their works are now worthless
This is because they follow whatever displeases Allah and hate whatever pleases Him, so He has rendered their deeds void.
That is because they followed what displeases Allah and dislike His pleasure, so He wastes their work.
Because they follow what has provoked the ire of God and abhor what pleases Him, He will bring their works to nothing
This is because they followed what angered GOD and hated the things that please Him. Consequently, He has nullified their works.
That is because they pursued what displeases God and hated what pleases Him. So He rendered their deeds worthless.
That is because they pursued what displeases God and hated what pleases Him. So He rendered their deeds worthless.
That is because they followed what Allah wrathed, and they hated His satisfaction, so He inhibited their works.
This, because they followed that which brings Allah's disapproval, and detested the actions that win His Approval. And so, He renders all their actions fruitless
That is because they follow what is displeasing to Allah and are averse to His pleasure, therefore He has made null their deeds
That is because they followed that which displeased ALLAH, and disliked the seeking of HIS pleasure. So HE rendered their works vain
That is because they followed that which angers God and were averse to His good pleasure; so He made their deeds come to naught
That is because they acted upon that which brought about the Anger of Allah, and they hated Allah’s good pleasure, so He made their deeds of no effect
This is because they pursued what angers God, and they hated His approval, so He rendered their deeds in vain.
That is because they pursued what displeases God, and they disliked His approval, so He nullified their works
That is because they followed what angered Allah and disliked [what earns] His pleasure, so He rendered worthless their deeds
That is because they, they followed what displeased God and they were averse to His pleasure; so He has made their works void.
This because they followed that which called forth the Wrath of God, and they hated God's good pleasure; so He made their deeds of no effect
