ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ l-munāfiqūna
the hypocrite men Noun
وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ wal-munāfiqātu
and the hypocrite women Noun
لِلَّذِينَ lilladhīna
to those who Noun
ءَامَنُوا۟ āmanū
believed V
ٱنظُرُونَا unẓurūnā
Wait for us V
نَقْتَبِسْ naqtabis
we may acquire V
مِن min
of Prep
نُّورِكُمْ nūrikum
your light Noun
قِيلَ qīla
It will be said V
ٱرْجِعُوا۟ ir'jiʿū
Go back V
وَرَآءَكُمْ warāakum
behind you Noun
فَٱلْتَمِسُوا۟ fal-tamisū
and seek V
نُورًا nūran
light Noun
فَضُرِبَ faḍuriba
Then will be put up V
بَيْنَهُم baynahum
between them Noun
بِسُورٍ bisūrin
a wall Noun
لَّهُۥ lahu
for it Noun
بَابٌۢ bābun
a gate Noun
بَاطِنُهُۥ bāṭinuhu
its interior Noun
فِيهِ fīhi
in it Prep
ٱلرَّحْمَةُ l-raḥmatu
(is) mercy Noun
وَظَٰهِرُهُۥ waẓāhiruhu
but its exterior Noun
مِن min
facing towards [it] Prep
قِبَلِهِ qibalihi
facing towards [it] Noun
ٱلْعَذَابُ l-ʿadhābu
the punishment Noun

On the same Day, the hypocrites, both men and women, will say to the believers, ‘Wait for us! Let us have some of your light!’ They will be told, ‘Go back and look for a light.’ A wall with a door will be erected between them: inside it lies mercy, outside lies torment

یَوۡمَ یَقُولُ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقُونَ وَٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتُ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱنظُرُونَا نَقۡتَبِسۡ مِن نُّورِكُمۡ قِیلَ ٱرۡجِعُوا۟ وَرَاۤءَكُمۡ فَٱلۡتَمِسُوا۟ نُورࣰاۖ فَضُرِبَ بَیۡنَهُم بِسُورࣲ لَّهُۥ بَابُۢ بَاطِنُهُۥ فِیهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةُ وَظَـٰهِرُهُۥ مِن قِبَلِهِ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ۝١٣

yawma yaqūlu l-munāfiqūna wal-munāfiqātu lilladhīna āmanū unẓurūnā naqtabis min nūrikum qīla ir'jiʿū warāakum fal-tamisū nūran faḍuriba baynahum bisūrin lahu bābun bāṭinuhu fīhi l-raḥmatu waẓāhiruhu min qibalihi l-ʿadhāb
