Jonah 10:13 Noun
وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا ٱلۡقُرُونَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ وَجَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِیُؤۡمِنُوا۟ۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We had already destroyed generations before you when they wronged, and their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe. Thus do We recompense the criminal peopl
Abdel Haleem: Before you people, We destroyed whole generations when they did evil- their messengers brought them clear signs but they refused to believe. This is how We repay the guilty
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: We destroyed the generations before you when they did wrong; and their messengers (from Allah) came unto them with clear proofs (of His Sovereignty) but they would not believe. Thus do We reward the guilty folk
Jonah 10:17 Noun
فَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوۡ كَذَّبَ بِءَایَـٰتِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا یُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝١٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah or denies His signs? Indeed, the criminals will not succee
Abdel Haleem: Who could be more wicked than someone who invents lies against God or denies His revelations? The guilty will never prosper
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah and denieth His revelations? Lo! the guilty never are successful
Jonah 10:50 Noun
قُلۡ أَرَءَیۡتُمۡ إِنۡ أَتَىٰكُمۡ عَذَابُهُۥ بَیَـٰتًا أَوۡ نَهَارࣰا مَّاذَا یَسۡتَعۡجِلُ مِنۡهُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٥٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Say, "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?"
Abdel Haleem: Say, ‘Think: if His punishment were to come to you, during the night or day, what part of it would the guilty wish to hasten
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Say: Have ye thought: When His doom cometh unto you as a raid by night, or in the (busy) day; what is there of it that the guilty ones desire to hasten
Jonah 10:75 Noun
ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِی۟هِۦ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوۡمࣰا مُّجۡرِمِینَ ۝٧٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Then We sent after them Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his establishment with Our signs, but they behaved arrogantly and were a criminal peopl
Abdel Haleem: After them We sent Moses and Aaron with Our signs to Pharaoh and his leading supporters, but they acted arrogantly- they were wicked people
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Then, after them, We sent Moses and Aaron unto Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our revelations, but they were arrogant and were a guilty folk
Jonah 10:82 Noun
وَیُحِقُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحَقَّ بِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٨٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And Allah will establish the truth by His words, even if the criminals dislike it."
Abdel Haleem: He will uphold the Truth with His words, even if the evildoers hate it.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And Allah will vindicate the Truth by His words, however much the guilty be averse
Hud 11:116 Noun
فَلَوۡلَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ أُو۟لُوا۟ بَقِیَّةࣲ یَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡفَسَادِ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣰا مِّمَّنۡ أَنجَیۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡۗ وَٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَاۤ أُتۡرِفُوا۟ فِیهِ وَكَانُوا۟ مُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١١٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So why were there not among the generations before you those of enduring discrimination forbidding corruption on earth - except a few of those We saved from among them? But those who wronged pursued what luxury they were given therein, and they were criminals
Abdel Haleem: If only there had been, among the generations before your time, people with a rem-nant of good sense, to forbid corruption on the earth! We saved only a few of them, while the unjust pursued the enjoyment of plenty, and persisted in sin
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: If only there had been among the generations before you men possessing a remnant (of good sense) to warn (their people) from corruption in the earth, as did a few of those whom We saved from them! The wrong-doers followed that by which they were made sapless, and were guilty
Hud 11:22 Noun
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَ ۝٢٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Assuredly, it is they in the Hereafter who will be the greatest losers
Abdel Haleem: There is no doubt they will be the ones to lose most in the life to come
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Assuredly in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers
Hud 11:35 Noun
أَمۡ یَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ إِنِ ٱفۡتَرَیۡتُهُۥ فَعَلَیَّ إِجۡرَامِی وَأَنَا۠ بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٣٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Or do they say [about Prophet Muhammad], "He invented it"? Say, "If I have invented it, then upon me is [the consequence of] my crime; but I am innocent of what [crimes] you commit."
Abdel Haleem: If [these disbelievers] say, ‘He has made this up,’ say [Muhammad], ‘If I have made this up, I am responsible for my own crime, but I am innocent of the crimes you commit.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Or say they (again): He hath invented it? Say: If I have invented it, upon me be my crimes, but I am innocent of (all) that ye commit
Hud 11:52 Noun
وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ تُوبُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِ یُرۡسِلِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ عَلَیۡكُم مِّدۡرَارࣰا وَیَزِدۡكُمۡ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمۡ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوۡا۟ مُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٥٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength. And do not turn away, [being] criminals."
Abdel Haleem: My people, ask forgiveness from your Lord, and return to Him. He will send down for you rain in abundance from the sky, and give you extra strength. Do not turn away and be lost in your sins.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And, O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, then turn unto Him repentant; He will cause the sky to rain abundance on you and will add unto you strength to your strength. Turn not away, guilty
Joseph 12:110 Noun
حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا ٱسۡتَیۡءَسَ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّوۤا۟ أَنَّهُمۡ قَدۡ كُذِبُوا۟ جَاۤءَهُمۡ نَصۡرُنَا فَنُجِّیَ مَن نَّشَاۤءُۖ وَلَا یُرَدُّ بَأۡسُنَا عَنِ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١١٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [They continued] until, when the messengers despaired and were certain that they had been denied, there came to them Our victory, and whoever We willed was saved. And Our punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals
Abdel Haleem: When the messengers lost all hope and realized that they had been dismissed as liars, Our help came to them: We saved whoever We pleased, but Our punishment will not be turned away from guilty people
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Till, when the messengers despaired and thought that they were denied, then came unto them Our help, and whom We would was saved. And Our wrath cannot be warded from the guilty
Abraham 14:49 Noun
وَتَرَى ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ مُّقَرَّنِینَ فِی ٱلۡأَصۡفَادِ ۝٤٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And you will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles
Abdel Haleem: you [Prophet] will see the guilty on that Day, bound together in fetters
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Thou wilt see the guilty on that day linked together in chains
The Rock, Stoneland, Rock City 15:12 Noun
كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Thus do We insert denial into the hearts of the criminals
Abdel Haleem: in this way We make the message slip through the hearts of evildoers
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty
The Rock, Stoneland, Rock City 15:58 Noun
قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمࣲ مُّجۡرِمِینَ ۝٥٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals
Abdel Haleem: They replied, ‘We have been sent to a people who are guilty.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: They said: We have been sent unto a guilty folk
The Bee 16:109 Noun
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلۡخَـٰسِرُونَ ۝١٠٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Assuredly, it is they, in the Hereafter, who will be the losers
Abdel Haleem: and there is no doubt that they will be the losers in the Hereafter
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Assuredly in the Hereafter they are the losers
The Bee 16:23 Noun
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَعۡلَمُ مَا یُسِرُّونَ وَمَا یُعۡلِنُونَۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا یُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُسۡتَكۡبِرِینَ ۝٢٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Assuredly, Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He does not like the arrogant
Abdel Haleem: There is no doubt that God knows what they conceal and what they reveal. He does not love the arrogant
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Assuredly Allah knoweth that which they keep hidden and that which they proclaim. Lo! He loveth not the proud
The Bee 16:62 Noun
وَیَجۡعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ مَا یَكۡرَهُونَۚ وَتَصِفُ أَلۡسِنَتُهُمُ ٱلۡكَذِبَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَأَنَّهُم مُّفۡرَطُونَ ۝٦٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And they attribute to Allah that which they dislike, and their tongues assert the lie that they will have the best [from Him]. Assuredly, they will have the Fire, and they will be [therein] neglected
Abdel Haleem: They attribute to God what they themselves dislike while their own tongues utter the lie that the best belongs to them. Without doubt it is the Fire that belongs to them: they will be given priority there
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And they assign unto Allah that which they (themselves) dislike, and their tongues expound the lie that the better portion will be theirs. Assuredly theirs will be the Fire, and they will be abandoned
The Cave 18:49 Noun
وَوُضِعَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبُ فَتَرَى ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ مُشۡفِقِینَ مِمَّا فِیهِ وَیَقُولُونَ یَـٰوَیۡلَتَنَا مَالِ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ لَا یُغَادِرُ صَغِیرَةࣰ وَلَا كَبِیرَةً إِلَّاۤ أَحۡصَىٰهَاۚ وَوَجَدُوا۟ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ حَاضِرࣰاۗ وَلَا یَظۡلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدࣰا ۝٤٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And the record [of deeds] will be placed [open], and you will see the criminals fearful of that within it, and they will say, "Oh, woe to us! What is this book that leaves nothing small or great except that it has enumerated it?" And they will find what they did present [before them]. And your Lord does injustice to no one
Abdel Haleem: The record of their deeds will be laid open and you will see the guilty, dismayed at what they contain, saying, ‘Woe to us! What a record this is! It does not leave any deed, small or large, unaccounted for!’ They will find everything they ever did laid in front of them: your Lord will not be unjust to anyone
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And the Book is placed, and thou seest the guilty fearful of that which is therein, and they say: What kind of a Book is this that leaveth not a small thing nor a great thing but hath counted it! And they find all that they did confronting them, and thy Lord wrongeth no-one
The Cave 18:53 Noun
وَرَءَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ٱلنَّارَ فَظَنُّوۤا۟ أَنَّهُم مُّوَاقِعُوهَا وَلَمۡ یَجِدُوا۟ عَنۡهَا مَصۡرِفࣰا ۝٥٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And the criminals will see the Fire and will be certain that they are to fall therein. And they will not find from it a way elsewhere
Abdel Haleem: The evildoers will see the Fire and they will realize that they are about to fall into it: they will find no escape from it
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And the guilty behold the Fire and know that they are about to fall therein, and they find no way of escape thence
Mary 19:86 Noun
وَنَسُوقُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرۡدࣰا ۝٨٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And will drive the criminals to Hell in thirs
Abdel Haleem: and drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd
Ta Ha 20:102 Noun
یَوۡمَ یُنفَخُ فِی ٱلصُّورِۚ وَنَحۡشُرُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ زُرۡقࣰا ۝١٠٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): The Day the Horn will be blown. And We will gather the criminals, that Day, blue-eyed
Abdel Haleem: When the trumpet is sounded and We gather the sinful, sightless
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: The day when the Trumpet is blown. On that day we assemble the guilty white-eyed (with terror)
Ta Ha 20:74 Noun
إِنَّهُۥ مَن یَأۡتِ رَبَّهُۥ مُجۡرِمࣰا فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ جَهَنَّمَ لَا یَمُوتُ فِیهَا وَلَا یَحۡیَىٰ ۝٧٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal - indeed, for him is Hell; he will neither die therein nor live
Abdel Haleem: Hell will be the reward of those who return to their Lord as evildoers: there they will stay, neither living nor dying
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! whoso cometh guilty unto his Lord, verily for him is hell. There he will neither die nor live
The Criterion, The Standard 25:22 Noun
یَوۡمَ یَرَوۡنَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةَ لَا بُشۡرَىٰ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ وَیَقُولُونَ حِجۡرࣰا مَّحۡجُورࣰا ۝٢٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."
Abdel Haleem: There will be no good news for the guilty on the Day they see the angels. The angels will say, ‘You cannot cross the forbidden barrier,’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban
The Criterion, The Standard 25:31 Noun
وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِیٍّ عَدُوࣰّا مِّنَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِیࣰا وَنَصِیرࣰا ۝٣١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper
Abdel Haleem: but We have always appointed adversaries from the wicked, for every prophet: Your Lord is sufficient guide and helper
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Even so have We appointed unto every prophet an opponent from among the guilty; but Allah sufficeth for a Guide and Helper
The Poets 26:200 Noun
كَذَ ٰلِكَ سَلَكۡنَـٰهُ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٢٠٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals
Abdel Haleem: So We make it pass straight through the hearts of the guilty
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty
The Poets 26:99 Noun
وَمَاۤ أَضَلَّنَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٩٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And no one misguided us except the criminals
Abdel Haleem: It was the evildoers who led us astray
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: It was but the guilty who misled us
The Ant, The Ants 27:69 Noun
قُلۡ سِیرُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٦٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals."
Abdel Haleem: [Prophet], say, ‘Travel through the earth and see how the evildoers ended up.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty
The Story, Stories, The Narrative 28:17 Noun
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَاۤ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیَّ فَلَنۡ أَكُونَ ظَهِیرࣰا لِّلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): He said, "My Lord, for the favor You bestowed upon me, I will never be an assistant to the criminals."
Abdel Haleem: He said, ‘My Lord, because of the blessings You have bestowed upon me, I shall never support those who do evil.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: He said: My Lord! Forasmuch as Thou hast favoured me, I will nevermore be a supporter of the guilty
The Story, Stories, The Narrative 28:78 Noun
قَالَ إِنَّمَاۤ أُوتِیتُهُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عِندِیۤۚ أَوَ لَمۡ یَعۡلَمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدۡ أَهۡلَكَ مِن قَبۡلِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ مَنۡ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنۡهُ قُوَّةࣰ وَأَكۡثَرُ جَمۡعࣰاۚ وَلَا یُسۡءَلُ عَن ذُنُوبِهِمُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٧٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): He said, "I was only given it because of knowledge I have." Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him of generations those who were greater than him in power and greater in accumulation [of wealth]? But the criminals, about their sins, will not be asked
Abdel Haleem: but he answered, ‘This wealth was given to me on account of the knowledge I possess.’ Did he not know that God had destroyed many generations before him, who had greater power than him and built up greater wealth? The guilty will not be questioned about their sins
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: He said: I have been given it only on account of knowledge I possess. Knew he not that Allah had destroyed already of the generations before him men who were mightier than him in strength and greater in respect of following? The guilty are not questioned of their sins
The Romans, The Byzantines 30:12 Noun
وَیَوۡمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ یُبۡلِسُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝١٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will be in despair
Abdel Haleem: On the Day the Hour arrives, the guilty will despai
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And in the day when the Hour riseth the unrighteous will despair
The Romans, The Byzantines 30:55 Noun
وَیَوۡمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ یُقۡسِمُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَیۡرَ سَاعَةࣲۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ یُؤۡفَكُونَ ۝٥٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will swear they had remained but an hour. Thus they were deluded
Abdel Haleem: On the Day the Hour comes, the guilty will swear they lingered no more than an hour- they have always been deluded
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And on the day when the Hour riseth the guilty will vow that they did tarry but an hour - thus were they ever deceived
The Prostration, Worship, Adoration, The Adoration 32:12 Noun
وَلَوۡ تَرَىٰۤ إِذِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ نَاكِسُوا۟ رُءُوسِهِمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ رَبَّنَاۤ أَبۡصَرۡنَا وَسَمِعۡنَا فَٱرۡجِعۡنَا نَعۡمَلۡ صَـٰلِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ ۝١٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): If you could but see when the criminals are hanging their heads before their Lord, [saying], "Our Lord, we have seen and heard, so return us [to the world]; we will work righteousness. Indeed, we are [now] certain."
Abdel Haleem: [Prophet], if only you could see the wrongdoers hang their heads before their Lord: ‘Our Lord, now that we have seen and heard, send us back and we shall do good. [Now] we are convinced.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Couldst thou but see when the guilty hang their heads before their Lord, (and say): Our Lord! We have now seen and heard, so send us back; we will do right, now we are sure
The Prostration, Worship, Adoration, The Adoration 32:22 Noun
وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ ثُمَّ أَعۡرَضَ عَنۡهَاۤۚ إِنَّا مِنَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ مُنتَقِمُونَ ۝٢٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord; then he turns away from them? Indeed We, from the criminals, will take retribution
Abdel Haleem: Who does more wrong than someone who, when messages from his Lord are recited to him, turns away from them? We shall inflict retribution on the guilty
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And who doth greater wrong than he who is reminded of the revelations of his Lord, then turneth from them. Lo! We shall requite the guilty
Saba, Sheba 34:32 Noun
قَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِینَ ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُوۤا۟ أَنَحۡنُ صَدَدۡنَـٰكُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ بَعۡدَ إِذۡ جَاۤءَكُمۖ بَلۡ كُنتُم مُّجۡرِمِینَ ۝٣٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed, "Did we avert you from guidance after it had come to you? Rather, you were criminals."
Abdel Haleem: The oppressors will say to them, ‘Was it we who prevented you from following right guidance after it had reached you? No! You yourselves were sinners.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Those who were proud say unto those who were despised: Did we drive you away from the guidance after it had come unto you? Nay, but ye were guilty
Ya Sin, Ya-Seen 36:59 Noun
وَٱمۡتَـٰزُوا۟ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ أَیُّهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٥٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals
Abdel Haleem: But step aside today, you guilty ones
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: But avaunt ye, O ye guilty, this day
Those Who Set The Ranks, Drawn up in Ranks, The Rangers 37:34 Noun
إِنَّا كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٣٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals
Abdel Haleem: this is how We deal with the guilty
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! thus deal We with the guilty
The Forgiver, The Forgiving One 40:43 Noun
لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّمَا تَدۡعُونَنِیۤ إِلَیۡهِ لَیۡسَ لَهُۥ دَعۡوَةࣱ فِی ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَلَا فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ مَرَدَّنَاۤ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِینَ هُمۡ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۝٤٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] supplication in this world or in the Hereafter; and indeed, our return is to Allah , and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire
Abdel Haleem: There is no doubt that what you call me to serve is not fit to be invoked either in this world or the Hereafter: our return is to God alone, and it will be the rebels who will inhabit the Fire
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Assuredly that whereunto ye call me hath no claim in the world or in the Hereafter, and our return will be unto Allah, and the prodigals will be owners of the Fire
Ornaments of Gold, Luxury, The Embellishment 43:74 Noun
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ فِی عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدُونَ ۝٧٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, the criminals will be in the punishment of Hell, abiding eternally
Abdel Haleem: But the evildoers will remain in Hell’s punishment
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! the guilty are immortal in hell's torment
Smoke, The Evident Smoke 44:22 Noun
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥۤ أَنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ قَوۡمࣱ مُّجۡرِمُونَ ۝٢٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And [finally] he called to his Lord that these were a criminal people
Abdel Haleem: [Moses] cried to his Lord, ‘These people are evildoers!’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And he cried unto his Lord, (saying): These are guilty folk
Smoke, The Evident Smoke 44:37 Noun
أَهُمۡ خَیۡرٌ أَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعࣲ وَٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ مُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٣٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals
Abdel Haleem: Are they better than the people of Tubbaand those who flourished before them? We destroyed them all- they were guilty
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty
The Kneeling, Crouching 45:31 Noun
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ أَفَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ ءَایَـٰتِی تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡكُمۡ فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡ وَكُنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣰا مُّجۡرِمِینَ ۝٣١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): But as for those who disbelieved, [it will be said], "Were not Our verses recited to you, but you were arrogant and became a people of criminals
Abdel Haleem: but those who disbelieved [will be asked]: ‘When My revelations were recited to you, were you not arrogant and persistent in wicked deeds
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And as for those who disbelieved (it will be said unto them): Were not Our revelations recited unto you? But ye were scornful and became a guilty folk
The Wind-curved Sandhills, The Dunes, The Sandhills 46:25 Noun
تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَیۡءِۭ بِأَمۡرِ رَبِّهَا فَأَصۡبَحُوا۟ لَا یُرَىٰۤ إِلَّا مَسَـٰكِنُهُمۡۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٢٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Destroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus do We recompense the criminal people
Abdel Haleem: which will destroy everything by its Lord’s command.’ In the morning there was nothing to see except their [ruined] dwellings: this is how We repay the guilty
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Destroying all things by commandment of its Lord. And morning found them so that naught could be seen save their dwellings. Thus do We reward the guilty folk
The Winnowing Winds, The Scatterers 51:32 Noun
قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمࣲ مُّجۡرِمِینَ ۝٣٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminal
Abdel Haleem: They said, ‘We are sent to a people lost in sin
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk
The Moon 54:47 Noun
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ وَسُعُرࣲ ۝٤٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness
Abdel Haleem: truly the wicked are misguided and quite insane––
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! the guilty are in error and madness
The Beneficent, The Mercy Giving, The Merciful 55:41 Noun
یُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِیمَـٰهُمۡ فَیُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَ ٰصِی وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ ۝٤١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet
Abdel Haleem: The guilty will be known by their mark and will be seized by their foreheads and their feet
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feet
The Beneficent, The Mercy Giving, The Merciful 55:43 Noun
هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِی یُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٤٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): This is Hell, which the criminals deny
Abdel Haleem: This is the Hell the guilty deny
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: This is hell which the guilty deny
The Pen 68:35 Noun
أَفَنَجۡعَلُ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِینَ كَٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٣٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals
Abdel Haleem: Should We treat those who submit to Us as We treat those who do evil
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Shall We then treat those who have surrendered as We treat the guilty
Cattle, Livestock 6:123 Noun
وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنَا فِی كُلِّ قَرۡیَةٍ أَكَـٰبِرَ مُجۡرِمِیهَا لِیَمۡكُرُوا۟ فِیهَاۖ وَمَا یَمۡكُرُونَ إِلَّا بِأَنفُسِهِمۡ وَمَا یَشۡعُرُونَ ۝١٢٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And thus We have placed within every city the greatest of its criminals to conspire therein. But they conspire not except against themselves, and they perceive [it] not
Abdel Haleem: And so We have put chief evildoers in every city to perpetrate their schemes there- but they scheme only against themselves, without realizing it
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And thus have We made in every city great ones of its wicked ones, that they should plot therein. They do but plot against themselves, though they perceive not
Cattle, Livestock 6:147 Noun
فَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل رَّبُّكُمۡ ذُو رَحۡمَةࣲ وَ ٰسِعَةࣲ وَلَا یُرَدُّ بَأۡسُهُۥ عَنِ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٤٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So if they deny you, [O Muhammad], say, "Your Lord is the possessor of vast mercy; but His punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals."
Abdel Haleem: If they [the disbelievers] accuse you [Prophet] of lying, say, ‘Your Lord has all-encompassing mercy, but His punishment cannot be diverted from the evildoers.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: So if they give the lie to thee (Muhammad), say: Your Lord is a Lord of All-Embracing Mercy, and His wrath will never be withdrawn from guilty folk
Cattle, Livestock 6:55 Noun
وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ وَلِتَسۡتَبِینَ سَبِیلُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٥٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And thus do We detail the verses, and [thus] the way of the criminals will become evident
Abdel Haleem: In this way We explain the revelations, so that the way for sinners may be made clear
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Thus do We expound the revelations that the way of the unrighteous may be manifest
The Ascending Stairways, The Ladders 70:11 Noun
یُبَصَّرُونَهُمۡۚ یَوَدُّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُ لَوۡ یَفۡتَدِی مِنۡ عَذَابِ یَوۡمِىِٕذِۭ بِبَنِیهِ ۝١١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his childre
Abdel Haleem: even when they are within sight of one another. The guilty person will wish he could save himself from the suffering of that Day by sacrificing his sons
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Though they will be given sight of them. The guilty man will long to be able to ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his childre

عَنِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٤١

The Emissaries, Winds Sent Forth 77:18 Noun
كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Thus do We deal with the criminals
Abdel Haleem: this is how We deal with the guilty
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Thus deal We ever with the guilty
The Emissaries, Winds Sent Forth 77:46 Noun
كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِیلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ ۝٤٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals
Abdel Haleem: [You may] eat and enjoy yourselves for a short while, evildoers that you are
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty
The Heights, The Elevated Places 7:133 Noun
فَأَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلطُّوفَانَ وَٱلۡجَرَادَ وَٱلۡقُمَّلَ وَٱلضَّفَادِعَ وَٱلدَّمَ ءَایَـٰتࣲ مُّفَصَّلَـٰتࣲ فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوۡمࣰا مُّجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٣٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs and blood as distinct signs, but they were arrogant and were a criminal people
Abdel Haleem: and so We let loose on them the flood, locusts, lice, frogs, blood- all clear signs. They were arrogant, wicked people
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: So We sent against them the flood and the locusts and the vermin and the frogs and the blood - a succession of clear signs. But they were arrogant and became a guilty folk
The Heights, The Elevated Places 7:40 Noun
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوا۟ عَنۡهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمۡ أَبۡوَ ٰبُ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَلَا یَدۡخُلُونَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ حَتَّىٰ یَلِجَ ٱلۡجَمَلُ فِی سَمِّ ٱلۡخِیَاطِۚ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٤٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them - the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle. And thus do We recompense the criminals
Abdel Haleem: The gates of Heaven will not be open to those who rejected Our revelations and arrogantly spurned them; even if a thick rope were to pass through the eye of a needle they would not enter the Garden. This is how We punish the guilty
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! they who deny Our revelations and scorn them, for them the gates of heaven will nor be opened not will they enter the Garden until the camel goeth through the needle's eye. Thus do We requite the guilty
The Heights, The Elevated Places 7:84 Noun
وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم مَّطَرࣰاۖ فَٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٨٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We rained upon them a rain [of stones]. Then see how was the end of the criminals
Abdel Haleem: and We showered upon [the rest of] them a rain [of destruction]. See the fate of the evildoers
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And We rained a rain upon them. See now the nature of the consequence of evil-doers
The Spoils of War 8:8 Noun
لِیُحِقَّ ٱلۡحَقَّ وَیُبۡطِلَ ٱلۡبَـٰطِلَ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): That He should establish the truth and abolish falsehood, even if the criminals disliked it
Abdel Haleem: to prove the Truth to be true, and the false to be false, much as the guilty might dislike it
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: That He might cause the Truth to triumph and bring vanity to naught, however much the guilty might oppose
Repentance 9:66 Noun
لَا تَعۡتَذِرُوا۟ قَدۡ كَفَرۡتُم بَعۡدَ إِیمَـٰنِكُمۡۚ إِن نَّعۡفُ عَن طَاۤىِٕفَةࣲ مِّنكُمۡ نُعَذِّبۡ طَاۤىِٕفَةَۢ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ مُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٦٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief. If We pardon one faction of you - We will punish another faction because they were criminals
Abdel Haleem: Do not try to justify yourselves; you have gone from belief to disbelief.’ We may forgive some of you, but We will punish others: they are evildoers
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Make no excuse. Ye have disbelieved after your (confession of) belief. If We forgive a party of you, a party of you We shall punish because they have been guilty

Verb (8 verses)

Hud 11:35 Verb
أَمۡ یَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ إِنِ ٱفۡتَرَیۡتُهُۥ فَعَلَیَّ إِجۡرَامِی وَأَنَا۠ بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٣٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Or do they say [about Prophet Muhammad], "He invented it"? Say, "If I have invented it, then upon me is [the consequence of] my crime; but I am innocent of what [crimes] you commit."
Abdel Haleem: If [these disbelievers] say, ‘He has made this up,’ say [Muhammad], ‘If I have made this up, I am responsible for my own crime, but I am innocent of the crimes you commit.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Or say they (again): He hath invented it? Say: If I have invented it, upon me be my crimes, but I am innocent of (all) that ye commit
Hud 11:89 Verb
وَیَـٰقَوۡمِ لَا یَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شِقَاقِیۤ أَن یُصِیبَكُم مِّثۡلُ مَاۤ أَصَابَ قَوۡمَ نُوحٍ أَوۡ قَوۡمَ هُودٍ أَوۡ قَوۡمَ صَـٰلِحࣲۚ وَمَا قَوۡمُ لُوطࣲ مِّنكُم بِبَعِیدࣲ ۝٨٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And O my people, let not [your] dissension from me cause you to be struck by that similar to what struck the people of Noah or the people of Hud or the people of Salih. And the people of Lot are not from you far away
Abdel Haleem: My people, do not let your opposition to me bring upon you a similar fate to the peoples of Noah or Hud or Salih; the people of Lot are not far away from you
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And, O my people! Let not the schism with me cause you to sin so that there befall you that which befell the folk of Noah and the folk of Hud, and the folk of Salih; and the folk of Lot are not far off from you
The Romans, The Byzantines 30:47 Verb
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِمۡ فَجَاۤءُوهُم بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَجۡرَمُوا۟ۖ وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَیۡنَا نَصۡرُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٤٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and incumbent upon Us was support of the believers
Abdel Haleem: Before you [Muhammad], We sent mes-sengers, each to their own people: they brought them clear proofs and then We punished the evildoers. We make it Our duty to help the believers
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Verily We sent before thee (Muhammad) messengers to their own folk. Then we took vengeance upon those who were guilty (in regard to them). To help believers is ever incumbent upon Us
Saba, Sheba 34:25 Verb
قُل لَّا تُسۡءَلُونَ عَمَّاۤ أَجۡرَمۡنَا وَلَا نُسۡءَلُ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٢٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Say, "You will not be asked about what we committed, and we will not be asked about what you do."
Abdel Haleem: Say, ‘You will not be ques-tioned about our sins, nor will we be questioned about what you do.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Say: Ye will not be asked of what we committed, nor shall we be asked of what ye do
The Table, The Table Spread 5:2 Verb
یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحِلُّوا۟ شَعَـٰۤىِٕرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّهۡرَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ وَلَا ٱلۡهَدۡیَ وَلَا ٱلۡقَلَـٰۤىِٕدَ وَلَاۤ ءَاۤمِّینَ ٱلۡبَیۡتَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ یَبۡتَغُونَ فَضۡلࣰا مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ وَرِضۡوَ ٰنࣰاۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلۡتُمۡ فَٱصۡطَادُوا۟ۚ وَلَا یَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شَنَءَانُ قَوۡمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ أَن تَعۡتَدُوا۟ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلۡبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡعُدۡوَ ٰنِۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِیدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ ۝٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): O you who have believed, do not violate the rites of Allah or [the sanctity of] the sacred month or [neglect the marking of] the sacrificial animals and garlanding [them] or [violate the safety of] those coming to the Sacred House seeking bounty from their Lord and [His] approval. But when you come out of ihram, then [you may] hunt. And do not let the hatred of a people for having obstructed you from al-Masjid al-iaram lead you to transgress. And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty
Abdel Haleem: so, you who believe, do not violate the sanctity of God’s rites, the Sacred Month, the offerings, their garlands, nor those going to the Sacred House to seek the bounty and pleasure of their Lord––but when you have completed the rites of pilgrimage you may hunt. Do not let your hatred for the people who barred you from the Sacred Mosque induce you to break the law: help one another to do what is right and good; do not help one another towards sin and hostility. Be mindful of God, for His punishment is severe
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: O ye who believe! Profane not Allah's monuments nor the Sacred Month nor the offerings nor the garlands, nor those repairing to the Sacred House, seeking the grace and pleasure of their Lord. But when ye have left the sacred territory, then go hunting (if ye will). And let not your hatred of a folk who (once) stopped your going to the inviolable place of worship seduce you to transgress; but help ye one another unto righteousness and pious duty. Help not one another unto sin and transgression, but keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is severe in punishment
The Table, The Table Spread 5:8 Verb
یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ قَوَّ ٰمِینَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَاۤءَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ وَلَا یَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شَنَءَانُ قَوۡمٍ عَلَىٰۤ أَلَّا تَعۡدِلُوا۟ۚ ٱعۡدِلُوا۟ هُوَ أَقۡرَبُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِیرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah , witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do
Abdel Haleem: You who believe, be steadfast in your devotion to God and bear witness impartially: do not let hatred of others lead you away from justice, but adhere to justice, for that is closer to awareness of God. Be mindful of God: God is well aware of all that you do
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for Allah in equity, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. Deal justly, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do
Cattle, Livestock 6:124 Verb
وَإِذَا جَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ ءَایَةࣱ قَالُوا۟ لَن نُّؤۡمِنَ حَتَّىٰ نُؤۡتَىٰ مِثۡلَ مَاۤ أُوتِیَ رُسُلُ ٱللَّهِۘ ٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ حَیۡثُ یَجۡعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُۥۗ سَیُصِیبُ ٱلَّذِینَ أَجۡرَمُوا۟ صَغَارٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعَذَابࣱ شَدِیدُۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَمۡكُرُونَ ۝١٢٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And when a sign comes to them, they say, "Never will we believe until we are given like that which was given to the messengers of Allah ." Allah is most knowing of where He places His message. There will afflict those who committed crimes debasement before Allah and severe punishment for what they used to conspire
Abdel Haleem: When a revelation is brought before them they say, ‘We shall not believe unless we ourselves are given a revelation as God’s messengers were.’ But God knows best where to place His messages: humiliation before God and severe torment will befall the evildoers for their scheming
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And when a token cometh unto them, they say: We will not believe till we are given that which Allah's messengers are given. Allah knoweth best with whom to place His message. Humiliation from Allah and heavy punishment will smite the guilty for their scheming

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed
