فَلَمَّا سَمِعَتۡ بِمَكۡرِهِنَّ أَرۡسَلَتۡ إِلَیۡهِنَّ وَأَعۡتَدَتۡ لَهُنَّ مُتَّكَءࣰا وَءَاتَتۡ كُلَّ وَ ٰحِدَةࣲ مِّنۡهُنَّ سِكِّینࣰا وَقَالَتِ ٱخۡرُجۡ عَلَیۡهِنَّۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَیۡنَهُۥۤ أَكۡبَرۡنَهُۥ وَقَطَّعۡنَ أَیۡدِیَهُنَّ وَقُلۡنَ حَـٰشَ لِلَّهِ مَا هَـٰذَا بَشَرًا إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا مَلَكࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٣١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So when she heard of their scheming, she sent for them and prepared for them a banquet and gave each one of them a knife and said [to Joseph], "Come out before them." And when they saw him, they greatly admired him and cut their hands and said, "Perfect is Allah ! This is not a man; this is none but a noble angel."
Abdel Haleem: When she heard their malicious talk, she prepared a banquet and sent for them, giving each of them a knife. She said to Joseph, ‘Come out and show yourself to them!’ and when the women saw him, they were stunned by his beauty, and cut their hands, exclaiming, ‘Great God! He cannot be mortal! He must be a precious angel!’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And when she heard of their sly talk, she sent to them and prepared for them a cushioned couch (to lie on at the feast) and gave to every one of them a knife and said (to Joseph): Come out unto them! And when they saw him they exalted him and cut their hands, exclaiming: Allah Blameless! This is no a human being. This is not other than some gracious angel
Children of Israel, The Israelites 17:23 Noun
۞ وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوۤا۟ إِلَّاۤ إِیَّاهُ وَبِٱلۡوَ ٰلِدَیۡنِ إِحۡسَـٰنًاۚ إِمَّا یَبۡلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ ٱلۡكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَاۤ أَوۡ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُل لَّهُمَاۤ أُفࣲّ وَلَا تَنۡهَرۡهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوۡلࣰا كَرِیمࣰا ۝٢٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word
Abdel Haleem: Your Lord has commanded that you should worship none but Him, and that you be kind to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, say no word that shows impatience with them, and do not be harsh with them, but speak to them respectfully
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Thy Lord hath decreed, that ye worship none save Him, and (that ye show) kindness to parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age with thee, say not "Fie" unto them nor repulse them, but speak unto them a gracious word
The Prophets 21:26 Noun
وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنُ وَلَدࣰاۗ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥۚ بَلۡ عِبَادࣱ مُّكۡرَمُونَ ۝٢٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, they are [but] honored servants
Abdel Haleem: And they say, ‘The Lord of Mercy has taken offspring for Himself.’ May He be exalted! No! They are only His honoured servants
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And they say: The Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a son. Be He Glorified! Nay, but (those whom they call sons) are honoured slaves
The Pilgrimage 22:18 Noun
أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَ̅سۡ̅جُ̅دُ̅ ̅لَ̅هُ̅ۥ̅ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَمَن فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ وَٱلنُّجُومُ وَٱلۡجِبَالُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ وَٱلدَّوَاۤبُّ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِۖ وَكَثِیرٌ حَقَّ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلۡعَذَابُۗ وَمَن یُهِنِ ٱللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن مُّكۡرِمٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَفۡعَلُ مَا یَشَاۤءُ ۝١٨ ۩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified. And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills
Abdel Haleem: Do you not realize [Prophet] that everything in the heavens and earth submits to God: the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, and the animals? So do many human beings, though for many others punishment is well deserved. Anyone disgraced by God will have no one to honour him: God does whatever He will
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Hast thou not seen that unto Allah payeth adoration whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the hills, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind, while there are many unto whom the doom is justly due. He whom Allah scorneth, there is none to give him honour. Lo! Allah doeth what He will
The Pilgrimage 22:50 Noun
فَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣱ وَرِزۡقࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٥٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And those who have believed and done righteous deeds - for them is forgiveness and noble provision
Abdel Haleem: Those who believe and do good deeds will be forgiven and have a generous reward
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Those who believe and do good works, for them is pardon and a rich provision
The Believers 23:116 Noun
فَتَعَـٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡكَرِیمِ ۝١١٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So exalted is Allah , the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne
Abdel Haleem: Exalted be God, the true King, there is no god but Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace
The Light 24:26 Noun
ٱلۡخَبِیثَـٰتُ لِلۡخَبِیثِینَ وَٱلۡخَبِیثُونَ لِلۡخَبِیثَـٰتِۖ وَٱلطَّیِّبَـٰتُ لِلطَّیِّبِینَ وَٱلطَّیِّبُونَ لِلطَّیِّبَـٰتِۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا یَقُولُونَۖ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣱ وَرِزۡقࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٢٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Evil words are for evil men, and evil men are [subjected] to evil words. And good words are for good men, and good men are [an object] of good words. Those [good people] are declared innocent of what the slanderers say. For them is forgiveness and noble provision
Abdel Haleem: Corrupt women are for corrupt men, and corrupt men are for corrupt women; good women are for good men and good men are for good women. The good are innocent of what has been said against them; they will have forgiveness and a generous provision
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Vile women are for vile men, and vile men for vile women. Good women are for good men, and good men for good women; such are innocent of that which people say: For them is pardon and a bountiful provision
The Criterion, The Standard 25:72 Noun
وَٱلَّذِینَ لَا یَشۡهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِٱللَّغۡوِ مَرُّوا۟ كِرَامࣰا ۝٧٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity
Abdel Haleem: [The servants of the Lord of Mercy are] those who do not give false testimony, and who, when they see some frivolity, pass by with dignity
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity
The Poets 26:58 Noun
وَكُنُوزࣲ وَمَقَامࣲ كَرِیمࣲ ۝٥٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And treasures and honorable station
Abdel Haleem: their treasures and their noble dwellings

The Poets 26:7 Noun
أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَمۡ أَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجࣲ كَرِیمٍ ۝٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind
Abdel Haleem: Do they not see the earth, and what noble kinds of thing We grow in it
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein
The Ant, The Ants 27:29 Noun
قَالَتۡ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَؤُا۟ إِنِّیۤ أُلۡقِیَ إِلَیَّ كِتَـٰبࣱ كَرِیمٌ ۝٢٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): She said, "O eminent ones, indeed, to me has been delivered a noble letter
Abdel Haleem: The Queen of Sheba said, ‘Counsellors, a gracious letter has been delivered to me
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: (The Queen of Sheba) said (when she received the letter): O chieftains! Lo! there hath been thrown unto me a noble letter
The Ant, The Ants 27:40 Noun
قَالَ ٱلَّذِی عِندَهُۥ عِلۡمࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِیكَ بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَن یَرۡتَدَّ إِلَیۡكَ طَرۡفُكَۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهُ مُسۡتَقِرًّا عِندَهُۥ قَالَ هَـٰذَا مِن فَضۡلِ رَبِّی لِیَبۡلُوَنِیۤ ءَأَشۡكُرُ أَمۡ أَكۡفُرُۖ وَمَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا یَشۡكُرُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّی غَنِیࣱّ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٤٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Said one who had knowledge from the Scripture, "I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you." And when [Solomon] saw it placed before him, he said, "This is from the favor of my Lord to test me whether I will be grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful - his gratitude is only for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever is ungrateful - then indeed, my Lord is Free of need and Generous."
Abdel Haleem: but one of them who had some knowledge of the Scripture said, ‘I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye.’ When Solomon saw it set before him, he said, ‘This is a favour from my Lord, to test whether I am grateful or not: if anyone is grateful, it is for his own good, if anyone is ungrateful, then my Lord is self-sufficient and most generous.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: One with whom was knowledge of the Scripture said: I will bring it thee before thy gaze returneth unto thee. And when he saw it set in his presence, (Solomon) said: This is of the bounty of my Lord, that He may try me whether I give thanks or am ungrateful. Whosoever giveth thanks he only giveth thanks for (the good of) his own soul; and whosoever is ungrateful (is ungrateful only to his own soul's hurt). For lo! my Lord is Absolute in independence, Bountiful
Luqman, Lukman 31:10 Noun
خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ بِغَیۡرِ عَمَدࣲ تَرَوۡنَهَاۖ وَأَلۡقَىٰ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَوَ ٰسِیَ أَن تَمِیدَ بِكُمۡ وَبَثَّ فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ دَاۤبَّةࣲۚ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجࣲ كَرِیمٍ ۝١٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind
Abdel Haleem: He created the heavens without any visible support, and He placed firm mountains on the earth––in case it should shake under you––and He spread all kinds of animals around it. We sent down water from the sky, with which We made every kind of good plant grow on earth
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein
The Clans, The Coalition, The Combined Forces, The Allies 33:31 Noun
۞ وَمَن یَقۡنُتۡ مِنكُنَّ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتَعۡمَلۡ صَـٰلِحࣰا نُّؤۡتِهَاۤ أَجۡرَهَا مَرَّتَیۡنِ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لَهَا رِزۡقࣰا كَرِیمࣰا ۝٣١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And whoever of you devoutly obeys Allah and His Messenger and does righteousness - We will give her her reward twice; and We have prepared for her a noble provision
Abdel Haleem: but if any of you is obedient to God and His Messenger and does good deeds, know that We shall give her a double reward and have prepared a generous provision for her
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And whosoever of you is submissive unto Allah and His messenger and doeth right, We shall give her her reward twice over, and We have prepared for her a rich provision
The Clans, The Coalition, The Combined Forces, The Allies 33:44 Noun
تَحِیَّتُهُمۡ یَوۡمَ یَلۡقَوۡنَهُۥ سَلَـٰمࣱۚ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرࣰا كَرِیمࣰا ۝٤٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Their greeting the Day they meet Him will be, "Peace." And He has prepared for them a noble reward
Abdel Haleem: when they meet Him they will be greeted with ‘Peace’- and He has prepared a generous reward for them
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Their salutation on the day when they shall meet Him will be: Peace. And He hath prepared for them a goodly recompense
Saba, Sheba 34:4 Noun
لِّیَجۡزِیَ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣱ وَرِزۡقࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): That He may reward those who believe and do righteous deeds. Those will have forgiveness and noble provision
Abdel Haleem: so that He can reward those who believe and do good deeds: they will have forgiveness and generous provision.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: That He may reward those who believe and do good works. For them is pardon and a rich provision
Ya Sin, Ya-Seen 36:11 Noun
إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَخَشِیَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنَ بِٱلۡغَیۡبِۖ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِمَغۡفِرَةࣲ وَأَجۡرࣲ كَرِیمٍ ۝١١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward
Abdel Haleem: You can warn only those who will follow the Quran and hold the Merciful One in awe, though they cannot see Him: give such people the glad news of forgiveness and a noble reward
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward
Ya Sin, Ya-Seen 36:27 Noun
بِمَا غَفَرَ لِی رَبِّی وَجَعَلَنِی مِنَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِینَ ۝٢٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."
Abdel Haleem: how my Lord has forgiven me and set me among the highly honoured.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: With what (munificence) my Lord hath pardoned me and made me of the honoured ones
Those Who Set The Ranks, Drawn up in Ranks, The Rangers 37:42 Noun
فَوَ ٰكِهُ وَهُم مُّكۡرَمُونَ ۝٤٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Fruits; and they will be honore
Abdel Haleem: fruits- and will be honoure
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Fruits. And they will be honoure
Smoke, The Evident Smoke 44:17 Noun
۞ وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَجَاۤءَهُمۡ رَسُولࣱ كَرِیمٌ ۝١٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger
Abdel Haleem: We tested the people of Pharaoh before them: a noble messenger was sent to them

Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰكُم مِّن ذَكَرࣲ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلۡنَـٰكُمۡ شُعُوبࣰا وَقَبَاۤىِٕلَ لِتَعَارَفُوۤا۟ۚ إِنَّ أَكۡرَمَكُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتۡقَىٰكُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِیمٌ خَبِیرࣱ ۝١٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted
Abdel Haleem: People, We created you all from a single man and a single woman, and made you into races and tribes so that you should recognize one another. In God’s eyes, the most honoured of you are the ones most mindful of Him: God is all knowing, all aware
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware
Women 4:31 Noun
إِن تَجۡتَنِبُوا۟ كَبَاۤىِٕرَ مَا تُنۡهَوۡنَ عَنۡهُ نُكَفِّرۡ عَنكُمۡ سَیِّءَاتِكُمۡ وَنُدۡخِلۡكُم مُّدۡخَلࣰا كَرِیمࣰا ۝٣١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance [into Paradise]
Abdel Haleem: But if you avoid the great sins you have been forbidden, We shall wipe out your minor misdeeds and let you in through the entrance of honour
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: If ye avoid the great (things) which ye are forbidden, We will remit from you your evil deeds and make you enter at a noble gate
The Winnowing Winds, The Scatterers 51:24 Noun
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِیثُ ضَیۡفِ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِینَ ۝٢٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham?
Abdel Haleem: [Muhammad], have you heard the story of the honoured guests of Abraham
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)
The Beneficent, The Mercy Giving, The Merciful 55:27 Noun
وَیَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ ۝٢٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor
Abdel Haleem: all that remains is the Face of your Lord, full of majesty, bestowing honour
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory
The Beneficent, The Mercy Giving, The Merciful 55:78 Noun
تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِی ٱلۡجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ ۝٧٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor
Abdel Haleem: Blessed is the name of your Lord, full of majesty, bestowing honour

مَّن ذَا ٱلَّذِی یُقۡرِضُ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰا فَیُضَـٰعِفَهُۥ لَهُۥ وَلَهُۥۤ أَجۡرࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝١١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward
Abdel Haleem: Who will make God a good loan? He will double it for him and reward him generously
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Who is he that will lend unto Allah a goodly loan, that He may double it for him and his may be a rich reward

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُصَّدِّقِینَ وَٱلۡمُصَّدِّقَـٰتِ وَأَقۡرَضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰا یُضَـٰعَفُ لَهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝١٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward
Abdel Haleem: Charitable men and women who make a good loan to God will have it doubled and have a generous reward
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! those who give alms, both men and women, and lend unto Allah a goodly loan, it will be doubled for them, and theirs will be a rich reward
The Reality, The Inevitable 69:40 Noun
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُولࣲ كَرِیمࣲ ۝٤٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger
Abdel Haleem: this [Quran] is the speech of an honoured messenger
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger
The Ascending Stairways, The Ladders 70:35 Noun
أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ فِی جَنَّـٰتࣲ مُّكۡرَمُونَ ۝٣٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They will be in gardens, honored
Abdel Haleem: They will be honoured in Gardens of bliss

إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenge
Abdel Haleem: this is the speech of a noble messenger

Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous
Abdel Haleem: Mankind, what has lured you away from God
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful
The Spoils of War 8:4 Noun
أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ حَقࣰّاۚ لَّهُمۡ دَرَجَـٰتٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ وَمَغۡفِرَةࣱ وَرِزۡقࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Those are the believers, truly. For them are degrees [of high position] with their Lord and forgiveness and noble provision
Abdel Haleem: Those are the ones who truly believe. They have high standing with their Lord, forgiveness, and generous provision.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Those are they who are in truth believers. For them are grades (of honour) with their Lord, and pardon, and a bountiful provision
The Spoils of War 8:74 Noun
وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَهَاجَرُوا۟ وَجَـٰهَدُوا۟ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَاوَوا۟ وَّنَصَرُوۤا۟ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ حَقࣰّاۚ لَّهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣱ وَرِزۡقࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٧٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): But those who have believed and emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - it is they who are the believers, truly. For them is forgiveness and noble provision
Abdel Haleem: Those who believed and emigrated, and struggled for God’s cause, and those who gave refuge and help- they are the true believers and they will have forgiveness and generous provision
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Those who believed and left their homes and strove for the cause of Allah, and those who took them in and helped them - these are the believers in truth. For them is pardon, and bountiful provision
The Clot, Read 96:3 Noun
اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous
Abdel Haleem: Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful On

Joseph 12:21 Verb
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِی ٱشۡتَرَىٰهُ مِن مِّصۡرَ لِٱمۡرَأَتِهِۦۤ أَكۡرِمِی مَثۡوَىٰهُ عَسَىٰۤ أَن یَنفَعَنَاۤ أَوۡ نَتَّخِذَهُۥ وَلَدࣰاۚ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِیُوسُفَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلِنُعَلِّمَهُۥ مِن تَأۡوِیلِ ٱلۡأَحَادِیثِۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَىٰۤ أَمۡرِهِۦ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٢١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And the one from Egypt who bought him said to his wife, "Make his residence comfortable. Perhaps he will benefit us, or we will adopt him as a son." And thus, We established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events. And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know
Abdel Haleem: The Egyptian who bought him said to his wife, ‘Look after him well! He may be useful to us, or we may adopt him as a son.’ In this way We settled Joseph in that land and later taught him how to interpret dreams: God always prevails in His purpose, though most people do not realize it
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And he of Egypt who purchased him said unto his wife: Receive him honourably. Perchance he may prove useful to us or we may adopt him as a son. Thus we established Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of events. And Allah was predominant in His career, but most of mankind know not
Children of Israel, The Israelites 17:62 Verb
قَالَ أَرَءَیۡتَكَ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِی كَرَّمۡتَ عَلَیَّ لَىِٕنۡ أَخَّرۡتَنِ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ لَأَحۡتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّیَّتَهُۥۤ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣰا ۝٦٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [Iblees] said, "Do You see this one whom You have honored above me? If You delay me until the Day of Resurrection, I will surely destroy his descendants, except for a few."
Abdel Haleem: and [then] said, ‘You see this being You have honoured above me? If You reprieve me until the Day of Resurrection, I will lead all but a few of his descendants by the nose.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: He said: Seest Thou this (creature) whom Thou hast honoured above me, if Thou give me grace until the Day of Resurrection I verily will seize his seed, save but a few
Children of Israel, The Israelites 17:70 Verb
۞ وَلَقَدۡ كَرَّمۡنَا بَنِیۤ ءَادَمَ وَحَمَلۡنَـٰهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَرَزَقۡنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّیِّبَـٰتِ وَفَضَّلۡنَـٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ كَثِیرࣲ مِّمَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَا تَفۡضِیلࣰا ۝٧٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference
Abdel Haleem: We have honoured the children of Adam and carried them by land and sea; We have provided good sustenance for them and favoured them specially above many of those We have created
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Verily we have honoured the Children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment
The Dawn, Daybreak 89:15 Verb
فَأَمَّا الْإِنسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِ
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."
Abdel Haleem: [The nature of] man is that, when his Lord tries him through honour and blessings, he says, ‘My Lord has honoured me,’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: As for man, whenever his Lord trieth him by honouring him, and is gracious unto him, he saith: My Lord honoureth me
The Dawn, Daybreak 89:17 Verb
كَلَّا بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَ
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): No! But you do not honor the orpha
Abdel Haleem: No indeed! You [people] do not honour orphans
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Nay, but ye (for your part) honour not the orpha
