The Believers 23:67

مُسۡتَكۡبِرِینَ بِهِۦ سَـٰمِرࣰا تَهۡجُرُونَ ۝٦٧
mus'takbirīna bihi sāmiran tahjurūn
64 Translations
and spent the evening making fun of [the Quran].’
in pride, talking evil about it (the Qur’an) by night.
Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling
Insolently, treating them like tales told at night."

“In arrogance. Speaking wrongfully about it by night.

"Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth."
Holding yourself arrogant against it [the book] you continue to spend your nights in idle talk thereby abandoning [the book].
Proudly elating your selves because of your possessing the holy temple; discoursing together by night, and talking foolishly
In arrogant scorn thereof, raving vain nonsensical tales by night

coming in pride and arrogance regarding it. (When you rejected Our Ayaat you became) one who reproduces imaginary, unauthentic and mythological tales (before the people). You disconnect and detach yourselves (from the teachings in Al-Kitab)
as ones who grow arrogant regarding it and ones who nightly talk nonsense, talking foolishly.
[You turned] in arrogance. You spoke nonsense about (the Qur’an), talking wickedly.
in arrogance, talking nonsense about The Qur’an like one telling fables by night
behaving arrogantly, and making fun, and talking nonsense (about the Book in your nightly chats)."
Haughtily, passing nights in talking nonsense about it
My signs were indeed read to you but you used to turn back on your heels,
To ridicule the Verses in nocturnal confabulations
Displaying haughtiness and arrogance against it, you used to utter absurdity in the darkness of night
You were too proud from it, talking evil about it; and you defiantly disregarded it
Youwere too proud from it, talking evil about it; and you defiantly disregarded it
You were too proud from it, talking evil about it; and you defiantly disregarded it.
Arrogantly conversing at night, you speak disgustedly/obscenely with (about) it
[and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night.”
Waxing proud against it, forsaking it for entertainment."
In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together
