وَجَدُوا۟ wajadū

بِضَٰعَتَهُمْ biḍāʿatahum
their merchandise Noun
رُدَّتْ ruddat
returned V
إِلَيْهِمْ ilayhim
to them Prep
قَالُوا۟ qālū
They said V
يَٰٓأَبَانَا yāabānā
O our father Noun
مَا mā
What Noun
نَبْغِى nabghī
(could) we desire V
هَٰذِهِۦ hādhihi
This Noun
بِضَٰعَتُنَا biḍāʿatunā
(is) our merchandise Noun
رُدَّتْ ruddat
returned V
إِلَيْنَا ilaynā
to us Prep
وَنَمِيرُ wanamīru
And we will get provision V
أَهْلَنَا ahlanā
(for) our family Noun
وَنَحْفَظُ wanaḥfaẓu
and we will protect V
أَخَانَا akhānā
our brother Noun
وَنَزْدَادُ wanazdādu
and get an increase V
كَيْلَ kayla
measure Noun
بَعِيرٍ baʿīrin
(of) a camel's (load) Noun
ذَٰلِكَ dhālika
That Noun
كَيْلٌ kaylun
(is) a measurement Noun
يَسِيرٌ yasīrun
easy Noun

Then, when they opened their packs, they discovered that their goods had been returned to them and they said, ‘Father! We need no more [goods to barter]: look, our goods have been returned to us. We shall get corn for our household; we shall keep our brother safe; we shall be entitled to another camel-load of grain- an extra measure so easily achieved!’

وَلَمَّا فَتَحُوا۟ مَتَـٰعَهُمۡ وَجَدُوا۟ بِضَـٰعَتَهُمۡ رُدَّتۡ إِلَیۡهِمۡۖ قَالُوا۟ یَـٰۤأَبَانَا مَا نَبۡغِیۖ هَـٰذِهِۦ بِضَـٰعَتُنَا رُدَّتۡ إِلَیۡنَاۖ وَنَمِیرُ أَهۡلَنَا وَنَحۡفَظُ أَخَانَا وَنَزۡدَادُ كَیۡلَ بَعِیرࣲۖ ذَ ٰلِكَ كَیۡلࣱ یَسِیرࣱ ۝٦٥

walammā fataḥū matāʿahum wajadū biḍāʿatahum ruddat ilayhim qālū yāabānā mā nabghī hādhihi biḍāʿatunā ruddat ilaynā wanamīru ahlanā wanaḥfaẓu akhānā wanazdādu kayla baʿīrin dhālika kaylun yasīru
