وَأَخْذِهِمُ wa-akhdhihimu

وَقَدْ waqad

they were forbidden V
عَنْهُ ʿanhu

and (for) their consuming Noun

(of) the people Noun
بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ bil-bāṭili
wrongfully Noun
And We have prepared V
for the disbelievers Noun
among them Prep
عَذَابًا ʿadhāban
a punishment Noun
painful Noun

for taking usury when they had been forbidden to do so; and for wrongfully devouring other people’s property. For those of them that reject the truth we have prepared an agonizing torment

وَأَخۡذِهِمُ ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟ وَقَدۡ نُهُوا۟ عَنۡهُ وَأَكۡلِهِمۡ أَمۡوَ ٰلَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلۡبَـٰطِلِۚ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ مِنۡهُمۡ عَذَابًا أَلِیمࣰا ۝١٦١

wa-akhdhihimu l-riba waqad nuhū ʿanhu wa-aklihim amwāla l-nāsi bil-bāṭili wa-aʿtadnā lil'kāfirīna min'hum ʿadhāban alīma
