Women 4:6

وَٱبْتَلُوا۟ wa-ib'talū
And test V
ٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ l-yatāmā
the orphans Noun
حَتَّىٰٓ ḥattā

إِذَا idhā

بَلَغُوا۟ balaghū
they reach[ed] V
ٱلنِّكَاحَ l-nikāḥa
(the age of) marriage Noun
فَإِنْ fa-in
then if Prep
ءَانَسْتُم ānastum
you perceive V
مِّنْهُمْ min'hum
in them Prep
رُشْدًا rush'dan
sound judgement Noun
فَٱدْفَعُوٓا۟ fa-id'faʿū
then deliver V
إِلَيْهِمْ ilayhim
to them Prep
أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ amwālahum
their wealth Noun
وَلَا walā
And (do) not Prep
تَأْكُلُوهَآ takulūhā
eat it V
إِسْرَافًا is'rāfan
extravagantly Noun
وَبِدَارًا wabidāran
and hastily Noun
أَن an
(fearing) that Prep
يَكْبَرُوا۟ yakbarū
they will grow up V
وَمَن waman
And whoever Noun
كَانَ kāna
is V
غَنِيًّا ghaniyyan
rich Noun
فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ falyastaʿfif
then he should refrain V
وَمَن waman
and whoever Noun
كَانَ kāna
is V
فَقِيرًا faqīran
poor Noun
فَلْيَأْكُلْ falyakul
then let him eat (of it) V
بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ bil-maʿrūfi
in a fair manner Noun
فَإِذَا fa-idhā
Then when Noun
دَفَعْتُمْ dafaʿtum
you deliver V
إِلَيْهِمْ ilayhim
to them Prep
أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ amwālahum
their wealth Noun
فَأَشْهِدُوا۟ fa-ashhidū
then take witnesses V
عَلَيْهِمْ ʿalayhim
on them Prep
وَكَفَىٰ wakafā
And is sufficient V
بِٱللَّهِ bil-lahi
Allah Noun
حَسِيبًا ḥasīban
(as) a Reckoner Noun

Test orphans until they reach marriageable age; then, if you find they have sound judgement, hand over their property to them. Do not consume it hastily before they come of age: if the guardian is well off he should abstain from the orphan’s property, and if he is poor he should use only what is fair. When you give them their property, call witnesses in; but God takes full account of everything you do

وَٱبۡتَلُوا۟ ٱلۡیَتَـٰمَىٰ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا بَلَغُوا۟ ٱلنِّكَاحَ فَإِنۡ ءَانَسۡتُم مِّنۡهُمۡ رُشۡدࣰا فَٱدۡفَعُوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهِمۡ أَمۡوَ ٰلَهُمۡۖ وَلَا تَأۡكُلُوهَاۤ إِسۡرَافࣰا وَبِدَارًا أَن یَكۡبَرُوا۟ۚ وَمَن كَانَ غَنِیࣰّا فَلۡیَسۡتَعۡفِفۡۖ وَمَن كَانَ فَقِیرࣰا فَلۡیَأۡكُلۡ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِۚ فَإِذَا دَفَعۡتُمۡ إِلَیۡهِمۡ أَمۡوَ ٰلَهُمۡ فَأَشۡهِدُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِمۡۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ حَسِیبࣰا ۝٦

wa-ib'talū l-yatāmā ḥattā idhā balaghū l-nikāḥa fa-in ānastum min'hum rush'dan fa-id'faʿū ilayhim amwālahum walā takulūhā is'rāfan wabidāran an yakbarū waman kāna ghaniyyan falyastaʿfif waman kāna faqīran falyakul bil-maʿrūfi fa-idhā dafaʿtum ilayhim amwālahum fa-ashhidū ʿalayhim wakafā bil-lahi ḥasība
