1 The Qur'an is guarded

۞ الۤرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝١

Alif, Lam, Ra... These (the reality and sunnatullah) are the clear signs of THIS Knowledge, the Quran.

alif-lam-ra til'ka āyātu l-kitābi waqur'ānin mubīni

رُّبَمَا یَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوۡ كَانُوا۟ مُسۡلِمِینَ ۝٢

(It will be that) those who deny the knowledge of the reality (curtained from their reality) will wish with intense desire that they had been aware of their submission.

rubamā yawaddu alladhīna kafarū law kānū mus'limīn

ذَرۡهُمۡ یَأۡكُلُوا۟ وَیَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ وَیُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٣

Leave them, let them eat and enjoy themselves, let them amuse themselves with their unending desires! Soon, they will know.

dharhum yakulū wayatamattaʿū wayul'hihimu l-amalu fasawfa yaʿlamūn

وَمَاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡیَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابࣱ مَّعۡلُومࣱ ۝٤

And We did not destroy any region that was not already decreed.

wamā ahlaknā min qaryatin illā walahā kitābun maʿlūmu

مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا یَسۡتَءۡخِرُونَ ۝٥

No population can advance nor delay their term.

mā tasbiqu min ummatin ajalahā wamā yastakhirūn

وَقَالُوا۟ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِی نُزِّلَ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ ۝٦

They said, “O the one to whom remembrance (dhikr) has been revealed! Indeed, you are crazy (possessed by the jinni).”

waqālū yāayyuhā alladhī nuzzila ʿalayhi l-dhik'ru innaka lamajnūnu

لَّوۡ مَا تَأۡتِینَا بِٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝٧

“Should you not have come to us with angels if you are of the truthful?”

law mā tatīnā bil-malāikati in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn

مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوۤا۟ إِذࣰا مُّنظَرِینَ ۝٨

We do not reveal angels except as Truth... At that time, they will not be reprieved!

mā nunazzilu l-malāikata illā bil-ḥaqi wamā kānū idhan munẓarīn

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَـٰفِظُونَ ۝٩

Indeed, it is We alone who sent down that dhikr! And, indeed, it is We who will be its guardian!

innā naḥnu nazzalnā l-dhik'ra wa-innā lahu laḥāfiẓūn

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِی شِیَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٠

Indeed, We also disclosed (Rasuls) before you, among the first people who shared the same belief.

walaqad arsalnā min qablika fī shiyaʿi l-awalīn

وَمَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝١١

As soon as a Rasul came to them, they would surely ridicule him.

wamā yatīhim min rasūlin illā kānū bihi yastahziūn

كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٢

Thus We advance it in the hearts of the guilty ones.

kadhālika naslukuhu fī qulūbi l-muj'rimīn

لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٣

They do not believe (in the reminder; knowledge)... And they do not take heed from the consequences lived by previous disbelievers.

lā yu'minūna bihi waqad khalat sunnatu l-awalīn

وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم بَابࣰا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِیهِ یَعۡرُجُونَ ۝١٤

Even if we had opened to them a gate from the sky and they ascended through it...

walaw fataḥnā ʿalayhim bāban mina l-samāi faẓallū fīhi yaʿrujūn

لَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَـٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمࣱ مَّسۡحُورُونَ ۝١٥

They would surely have said, “Our eyes have been dazzled, in fact, we are a people bewitched!”

laqālū innamā sukkirat abṣārunā bal naḥnu qawmun masḥūrūn

2 Evil will be destroyed

وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ بُرُوجࣰا وَزَیَّنَّـٰهَا لِلنَّـٰظِرِینَ ۝١٦

Indeed, We formed constellations in the sky (the brain; specific regions [pineal gland] within the brain that enable the observation of the reality) and adorned it for those who observe it and heed.

walaqad jaʿalnā fī l-samāi burūjan wazayyannāhā lilnnāẓirīn

وَحَفِظۡنَـٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡطَـٰنࣲ رَّجِیمٍ ۝١٧

We protected it from every accursed and rejected Satan (the sense of individualism and fear of loss formed by the amygdala).

waḥafiẓ'nāhā min kulli shayṭānin rajīmi

إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝١٨

Except one who steals a hearing (associates the reality that becomes manifest therein to bodily life), is pursued by a clear blazing ball of fire (the Nur of the knowledge of the reality).

illā mani is'taraqa l-samʿa fa-atbaʿahu shihābun mubīnu

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَـٰهَا وَأَلۡقَیۡنَا فِیهَا رَوَ ٰسِیَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ مَّوۡزُونࣲ ۝١٩

We have expanded the earth (the body is expanded such that it can contain the organs enabling the manifestations of the Names)! And We have set firm mountains (organs) therein... We produced everything there in balance.

wal-arḍa madadnāhā wa-alqaynā fīhā rawāsiya wa-anbatnā fīhā min kulli shayin mawzūni

وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِیهَا مَعَـٰیِشَ وَمَن لَّسۡتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِرَ ٰزِقِینَ ۝٢٠

And We made therein means of living both for you and for those whose livelihood does not belong to you.

wajaʿalnā lakum fīhā maʿāyisha waman lastum lahu birāziqīn

وَإِن مِّن شَیۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَاۤىِٕنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥۤ إِلَّا بِقَدَرࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝٢١

And there is not a thing whose treasuries (the forces comprising it) are not with us! And We disclose (the forces/qualities) according to its program. We manifest it (those forces, qualities) in the required amount.

wa-in min shayin illā ʿindanā khazāinuhu wamā nunazziluhu illā biqadarin maʿlūmi

وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلرِّیَـٰحَ لَوَ ٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَسۡقَیۡنَـٰكُمُوهُ وَمَاۤ أَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِخَـٰزِنِینَ ۝٢٢

We disclosed the winds (ideas) as fertilizers (of new thoughts and discoveries)... We revealed water (knowledge) from the sky and made you drink from it... And you are not the one that retains it.

wa-arsalnā l-riyāḥa lawāqiḥa fa-anzalnā mina l-samāi māan fa-asqaynākumūhu wamā antum lahu bikhāzinīn

وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡیِۦ وَنُمِیتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَ ٰرِثُونَ ۝٢٣

Indeed, it is We, yes We, who give life and cause death! We are the Inheritors (you are mortal, We [Al-Asma Ul-Husna – the Beautiful Names] are immortal)!

wa-innā lanaḥnu nuḥ'yī wanumītu wanaḥnu l-wārithūn

وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِینَ مِنكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَءۡخِرِینَ ۝٢٤

Indeed, We know who among you wants to advance and who remains behind!

walaqad ʿalim'nā l-mus'taqdimīna minkum walaqad ʿalim'nā l-mus'takhirīn

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ یَحۡشُرُهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِیمٌ عَلِیمࣱ ۝٢٥

Indeed, your Rabb, HU, will gather them! Indeed, He is the Hakim, the Aleem.

wa-inna rabbaka huwa yaḥshuruhum innahu ḥakīmun ʿalīmu

3 Devil's Opposition to Righteous

وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ ۝٢٦

Indeed, We created man from an evolving cellular structure (earth + water + air).

walaqad khalaqnā l-insāna min ṣalṣālin min ḥama-in masnūni

وَٱلۡجَاۤنَّ خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ ۝٢٧

“And the jann (a type of jinn) We created before from ‘samum’ fire (an infusing microwave radiation that is harmful to the astral body).”

wal-jāna khalaqnāhu min qablu min nāri l-samūm

وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ إِنِّی خَـٰلِقُۢ بَشَرࣰا مِّن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ ۝٢٨

And remember when your Rabb said to the angels, “Indeed, I will create a human being out of dry clay, an evolving cellular structure (the cell).”

wa-idh qāla rabbuka lil'malāikati innī khāliqun basharan min ṣalṣālin min ḥama-in masnūni

فَإِذَا سَوَّیۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِیهِ مِن رُّوحِی فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِینَ ۝٢٩

“And when I have proportioned him (perfected his body and brain) and breathed into Him from my Spirit (the qualities denoted by my Names) prostrate to him (commence your servitude to him as his forces)!”

fa-idhā sawwaytuhu wanafakhtu fīhi min rūḥī faqaʿū lahu sājidīn

فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ ۝٣٠

So all of the angels (forces) prostrated collectively (certain qualities of the Names began to manifest and materialize as the brain).

fasajada l-malāikatu kulluhum ajmaʿūn

إِلَّاۤ إِبۡلِیسَ أَبَىٰۤ أَن یَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ۝٣١

Except Iblis! He was not of those (forces) who prostrated.

illā ib'līsa abā an yakūna maʿa l-sājidīn

قَالَ یَـٰۤإِبۡلِیسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ۝٣٢

He said, “O Iblis! What is the matter with you that you are not with those who prostrate?”

qāla yāib'līsu mā laka allā takūna maʿa l-sājidīn

قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ ۝٣٣

(Iblis) said, “I have not come into existence to prostrate to a human you created from dry clay and an evolving transforming cellular structure.”

qāla lam akun li-asjuda libasharin khalaqtahu min ṣalṣālin min ḥama-in masnūni

قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِیمࣱ ۝٣٤

He said, “Then get out from there! Indeed, you are accursed and rejected.”

qāla fa-ukh'ruj min'hā fa-innaka rajīmu

وَإِنَّ عَلَیۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلدِّینِ ۝٣٥

“Indeed, upon you is the curse (of falling far from experiencing your essential reality) until the time in which the truth of sunnatullah will become apparent.”

wa-inna ʿalayka l-laʿnata ilā yawmi l-dīn

قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِیۤ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ یُبۡعَثُونَ ۝٣٦

(Iblis) said, “My Rabb! Reprieve me until the time they are resurrected (with a new body after tasting death)!”

qāla rabbi fa-anẓir'nī ilā yawmi yub'ʿathūn

قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِینَ ۝٣٧

He said, “Certainly, you are of those who are reprieved!”

qāla fa-innaka mina l-munẓarīn

إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ ۝٣٨

“Until the time well known!”

ilā yawmi l-waqti l-maʿlūm

قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَاۤ أَغۡوَیۡتَنِی لَأُزَیِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِیَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٣٩

(Iblis) said: “My Rabb! Because You have led me astray as the outcome of the Names expressed through me, I will surely make (disobedience; deeds that veil from the sunnatullah) attractive to them on earth (their bodily lives) and mislead them all.”

qāla rabbi bimā aghwaytanī la-uzayyinanna lahum fī l-arḍi wala-ugh'wiyannahum ajmaʿīn

إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِینَ ۝٤٠

“Except Your servants among them who have been given purity of essence!”

illā ʿibādaka min'humu l-mukh'laṣīn

قَالَ هَـٰذَا صِرَ ٰطٌ عَلَیَّ مُسۡتَقِیمٌ ۝٤١

He said, “This is the straight path that I have taken upon myself!”

qāla hādhā ṣirāṭun ʿalayya mus'taqīmu

إِنَّ عِبَادِی لَیۡسَ لَكَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَـٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِینَ ۝٤٢

“Surely you will have no power (of enforcement) over My servants... Except the corrupt ones who choose to follow you.”

inna ʿibādī laysa laka ʿalayhim sul'ṭānun illā mani ittabaʿaka mina l-ghāwīn

وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٤٣

“Indeed, Hell is the place to which they are destined.”

wa-inna jahannama lamawʿiduhum ajmaʿīn

لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡوَ ٰبࣲ لِّكُلِّ بَابࣲ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءࣱ مَّقۡسُومٌ ۝٤٤

“It has seven gates (the seven organs – eyes, ears, tongue, hands, feet, stomach and sexual organs – which are misused to defeat their purpose)... And each gate has a section allotted to them.”

lahā sabʿatu abwābin likulli bābin min'hum juz'on maqsūmu

4 Mercy for the Righteous — Abraham

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ فِی جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونٍ ۝٤٥

The ones who have protected themselves will be in Paradises and springs.

inna l-mutaqīna fī jannātin waʿuyūni

ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَـٰمٍ ءَامِنِینَ ۝٤٦

“Enter therein as the safeguarded (with the security derived from one’s faith) and in a state of certainty (salam).”

ud'khulūhā bisalāmin āminīn

وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِی صُدُورِهِم مِّنۡ غِلٍّ إِخۡوَ ٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِینَ ۝٤٧

We have cleansed and removed from their hearts all emotions of hatred and animosity (which are derived from a view based on separation and duality rather than unity)! They will be as brothers seated on thrones facing one another.

wanazaʿnā mā fī ṣudūrihim min ghillin ikh'wānan ʿalā sururin mutaqābilīn

لَا یَمَسُّهُمۡ فِیهَا نَصَبࣱ وَمَا هُم مِّنۡهَا بِمُخۡرَجِینَ ۝٤٨

They will not be affected by any weariness (energy depletion) and they will never be made to leave.

lā yamassuhum fīhā naṣabun wamā hum min'hā bimukh'rajīn

۞ نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِیۤ أَنِّیۤ أَنَا ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝٤٩

Tell my servants that I truly am the Ghafur and the Rahim.

nabbi ʿibādī annī anā l-ghafūru l-raḥīm

وَأَنَّ عَذَابِی هُوَ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ٱلۡأَلِیمُ ۝٥٠

Indeed, My punishment (the suffering resulting from falling far from My reality) is the worst punishment!

wa-anna ʿadhābī huwa l-ʿadhābu l-alīm

وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَن ضَیۡفِ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ۝٥١

Inform them about the guests of Abraham.

wanabbi'hum ʿan ḍayfi ib'rāhīm

إِذۡ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمࣰا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمۡ وَجِلُونَ ۝٥٢

How they had come to him and greeted him, “Salam”... (And Abraham had said) “We feel anxious by you.”

idh dakhalū ʿalayhi faqālū salāman qāla innā minkum wajilūn

قَالُوا۟ لَا تَوۡجَلۡ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِیمࣲ ۝٥٣

(They said), “Do not be anxious! We have come to give you the good news that you shall have a son who will be Aleem (possess great knowledge).”

qālū lā tawjal innā nubashiruka bighulāmin ʿalīmi

قَالَ أَبَشَّرۡتُمُونِی عَلَىٰۤ أَن مَّسَّنِیَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ ۝٥٤

(Abraham) said, “Are you giving me this good news although old age has come upon me? What kind of good news are you giving me?”

qāla abashartumūnī ʿalā an massaniya l-kibaru fabima tubashirūn

قَالُوا۟ بَشَّرۡنَـٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَـٰنِطِینَ ۝٥٥

They said, “We give you good news in Truth! Do not despair!”

qālū basharnāka bil-ḥaqi falā takun mina l-qāniṭīn

قَالَ وَمَن یَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦۤ إِلَّا ٱلضَّاۤلُّونَ ۝٥٦

(Abraham) said, “Who can despair the grace of my Rabb, except those who have gone astray (from the reality)?”

qāla waman yaqnaṭu min raḥmati rabbihi illā l-ḍālūn

قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَیُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ۝٥٧

(Abraham) said, “O disclosed ones! What (else) is your function?”

qāla famā khaṭbukum ayyuhā l-mur'salūn

قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمࣲ مُّجۡرِمِینَ ۝٥٨

They said, “The truth is, we have been disclosed for the guilty people.”

qālū innā ur'sil'nā ilā qawmin muj'rimīn

إِلَّاۤ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٥٩

“Except the family of Lot! We shall rescue all of them.”

illā āla lūṭin innā lamunajjūhum ajmaʿīn

إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَاۤ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ ۝٦٠

“Except for (Lot’s) wife... We have decreed that she will be of those who remain behind.”

illā im'ra-atahu qaddarnā innahā lamina l-ghābirīn

5 Lot and Shu'aib

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ۝٦١

Then the disclosed angels came to Lot.

falammā jāa āla lūṭin l-mur'salūn

قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ مُّنكَرُونَ ۝٦٢

(Lot) said, “Indeed, you are strangers!”

qāla innakum qawmun munkarūn

قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ جِئۡنَـٰكَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ فِیهِ یَمۡتَرُونَ ۝٦٣

They said, “On the contrary, we bring (suffering as a result of their deeds) for those who are in doubt.”

qālū bal ji'nāka bimā kānū fīhi yamtarūn

وَأَتَیۡنَـٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ ۝٦٤

“We come to you in Truth and we are true to our word.”

wa-ataynāka bil-ḥaqi wa-innā laṣādiqūn

فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعࣲ مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ وَٱتَّبِعۡ أَدۡبَـٰرَهُمۡ وَلَا یَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدࣱ وَٱمۡضُوا۟ حَیۡثُ تُؤۡمَرُونَ ۝٦٥

“So, take your family and leave during a portion of the night, take them away... And follow them from behind... Let none of you look back... Go to the place to which you have been commanded and leave!”

fa-asri bi-ahlika biqiṭ'ʿin mina al-layli wa-ittabiʿ adbārahum walā yaltafit minkum aḥadun wa-im'ḍū ḥaythu tu'marūn

وَقَضَیۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡهِ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ مَقۡطُوعࣱ مُّصۡبِحِینَ ۝٦٦

We conveyed to him the decree, “Indeed, their last remnants will be cut off by the morning.”

waqaḍaynā ilayhi dhālika l-amra anna dābira hāulāi maqṭūʿun muṣ'biḥīn

وَجَاۤءَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَدِینَةِ یَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ ۝٦٧

And the people of the city came rejoicing.

wajāa ahlu l-madīnati yastabshirūn

قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ ضَیۡفِی فَلَا تَفۡضَحُونِ ۝٦٨

(Lot) said, “These people are my guests... So do not shame me.”

qāla inna hāulāi ḍayfī falā tafḍaḥūn

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ ۝٦٩

“Fear Allah and do not embarrass me!”

wa-ittaqū l-laha walā tukh'zūn

قَالُوۤا۟ أَوَ لَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٧٠

They said, “Didn’t we tell you not to meddle in the affairs of others?”

qālū awalam nanhaka ʿani l-ʿālamīn

قَالَ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ بَنَاتِیۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَـٰعِلِینَ ۝٧١

(Lot) said, “Here are my daughters, if this is what you want to do!”

qāla hāulāi banātī in kuntum fāʿilīn

لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِی سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ یَعۡمَهُونَ ۝٧٢

By your life, they are wandering blindly in their intoxication (of pleasure)!

laʿamruka innahum lafī sakratihim yaʿmahūn

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِینَ ۝٧٣

At sunrise the terrifying vibrational blast seized them.

fa-akhadhathumu l-ṣayḥatu mush'riqīn

فَجَعَلۡنَا عَـٰلِیَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةࣰ مِّن سِجِّیلٍ ۝٧٤

We turned them upside down and rained upon them stones of (baked) clay (volcanic lava).

fajaʿalnā ʿāliyahā sāfilahā wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhim ḥijāratan min sijjīli

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِینَ ۝٧٥

Certainly, there are signs in this for those with discernment (who discern the true meaning of the signs).

inna fī dhālika laāyātin lil'mutawassimīn

وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِیلࣲ مُّقِیمٍ ۝٧٦

Indeed, that city is still on people’s way.

wa-innahā labisabīlin muqīmi

إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٧٧

Surely there are lessons to be taken from this for those who believe.

inna fī dhālika laāyatan lil'mu'minīn

وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡأَیۡكَةِ لَظَـٰلِمِینَ ۝٧٨

The people of the wood (the people of Shuayb [a.s.]) were also wrongdoers.

wa-in kāna aṣḥābu l-aykati laẓālimīn

فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٧٩

Because of this We made them live the painful consequence of their deeds! Both are situated in places clearly observable.

fa-intaqamnā min'hum wa-innahumā labi-imāmin mubīni

6 Warning to Dwellers of Rock

وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝٨٠

Indeed, the people of Hijr (the people of Thamud) also denied their Rasuls.

walaqad kadhaba aṣḥābu l-ḥij'ri l-mur'salīn

وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِنَا فَكَانُوا۟ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِینَ ۝٨١

We gave Our signs to them, yet they turned away.

waātaynāhum āyātinā fakānū ʿanhā muʿ'riḍīn

وَكَانُوا۟ یَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُیُوتًا ءَامِنِینَ ۝٨٢

They used to carve secure houses from mountains.

wakānū yanḥitūna mina l-jibāli buyūtan āminīn

فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِینَ ۝٨٣

But that terrifying vibrational blast (volcanic eruption) seized them too in the early morning.

fa-akhadhathumu l-ṣayḥatu muṣ'biḥīn

فَمَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَكۡسِبُونَ ۝٨٤

Their earnings did not save them.

famā aghnā ʿanhum mā kānū yaksibūn

وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَءَاتِیَةࣱۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِیلَ ۝٨٥

And We have created the heavens (the stages of manifestation pertaining to the qualities denoted by the Names) and earth (man’s illusory world) and everything in between them in Absolute Truth. And indeed that Hour (death) is definitely going to come... So be forgiving and Truthful.

wamā khalaqnā l-samāwāti wal-arḍa wamā baynahumā illā bil-ḥaqi wa-inna l-sāʿata laātiyatun fa-iṣ'faḥi l-ṣafḥa l-jamīl

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝٨٦

Certainly your Rabb is HU, Hallaq’ul Aleem.

inna rabbaka huwa l-khalāqu l-ʿalīm

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰكَ سَبۡعࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِی وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِیمَ ۝٨٧

And we have certainly given you seven of the often-repeated verses (the quality to evaluate with your seven essential attributes) and the great Quran (the knowledge of the reality and sunnatullah).

walaqad ātaynāka sabʿan mina l-mathānī wal-qur'āna l-ʿaẓīm

لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَیۡنَیۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦۤ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٨٨

Do not extend your eye toward the transitory worldly bounties and pleasures that We have given to some of the deniers of reality! And do not grieve because they do not give you your due worth... Take under your wings the believers!

lā tamuddanna ʿaynayka ilā mā mattaʿnā bihi azwājan min'hum walā taḥzan ʿalayhim wa-ikh'fiḍ janāḥaka lil'mu'minīn

وَقُلۡ إِنِّیۤ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِیرُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ ۝٨٩

And say, “Indeed, I, yes I, am a clear warner.”

waqul innī anā l-nadhīru l-mubīn

كَمَاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِینَ ۝٩٠

Just as We had revealed (the knowledge of the reality) to those who divide and separate (the Old and New Testaments to suit their own interests), We have also revealed it to you!

kamā anzalnā ʿalā l-muq'tasimīn

ٱلَّذِینَ جَعَلُوا۟ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عِضِینَ ۝٩١

They divided the Quran into portions (evaluated the Quran according to their benefits)!

alladhīna jaʿalū l-qur'āna ʿiḍīn

فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡءَلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٩٢

By your Rabb, all of them are going to be questioned...

fawarabbika lanasalannahum ajmaʿīn

عَمَّا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٩٣

About what they do!

fa-iṣ'daʿ bimā tu'maru wa-aʿriḍ ʿani l-mush'rikīn

فَٱصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ ۝٩٤

Then declare what you are commanded (the knowledge of the reality and sunnatullah) then turn away from the dualists!

FaisdaAA bima tu/maru waaAArid AAani almushrikeena

إِنَّا كَفَیۡنَـٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِینَ ۝٩٥

Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers!

innā kafaynāka l-mus'tahziīn

ٱلَّذِینَ یَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٩٦

Those who take deities/gods besides Allah (who created the worlds and their essence with His Names)... Soon they will know!

alladhīna yajʿalūna maʿa l-lahi ilāhan ākhara fasawfa yaʿlamūn

وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ یَضِیقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا یَقُولُونَ ۝٩٧

Indeed, We know how your breast is constrained because of what they say.

walaqad naʿlamu annaka yaḍīqu ṣadruka bimā yaqūlūn

فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ۝٩٨

So, engage in the tasbih of your Rabb (continue your existence through your servitude to your essential reality) as His Hamd (evaluation of the corporeal worlds) and be of those who prostate (eradicate their constructed identities/egos)!

fasabbiḥ biḥamdi rabbika wakun mina l-sājidīn

وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ یَأۡتِیَكَ ٱلۡیَقِینُ ۝٩٩

And serve your Rabb (engage in the practices of prayer and servitude to your Rabb – the Names comprising your essential reality – while your ego self still exists) until there comes to you the certainty (until you realize the inexistence of your ego self, which is the realization of the reality of death; the experience of the Wahid’ul Qahhar. After this certainty, servitude to one’s Rabb will continue as the natural outcome of this process).

wa-uʿ'bud rabbaka ḥattā yatiyaka l-yaqīn
