1 The Qur'an is guarded
15:1 ›
۞ الۤرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝١
M. Farook Malik
Alif L'am Ra. These are the verses of the Divine Book, the Glorious Qur’an which makes the things clear
alif-lam-ra til'ka āyātu l-kitābi waqur'ānin mubīni
15:2 ›
رُّبَمَا یَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوۡ كَانُوا۟ مُسۡلِمِینَ ۝٢
M. Farook Malik
The Day will come when the unbelievers will wish that they were Muslims
rubamā yawaddu alladhīna kafarū law kānū mus'limīn
15:3 ›
ذَرۡهُمۡ یَأۡكُلُوا۟ وَیَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ وَیُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٣
M. Farook Malik
Leave them alone to eat and enjoy themselves and be deluded by false hopes, for soon they will find out the Truth
dharhum yakulū wayatamattaʿū wayul'hihimu l-amalu fasawfa yaʿlamūn
15:4 ›
وَمَاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡیَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابࣱ مَّعۡلُومࣱ ۝٤
M. Farook Malik
Never did We destroy a town whose term of life was not ordained beforehand
wamā ahlaknā min qaryatin illā walahā kitābun maʿlūmu
15:5 ›
مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا یَسۡتَءۡخِرُونَ ۝٥
M. Farook Malik
No people can forestall their doom, nor can they postpone it
mā tasbiqu min ummatin ajalahā wamā yastakhirūn
15:6 ›
وَقَالُوا۟ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِی نُزِّلَ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ ۝٦
M. Farook Malik
They say: "O you to whom the reminder (The Qur'an) is being revealed! You are surely insane
waqālū yāayyuhā alladhī nuzzila ʿalayhi l-dhik'ru innaka lamajnūnu
15:7 ›
لَّوۡ مَا تَأۡتِینَا بِٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝٧
M. Farook Malik
Why don’t you bring us the angels, if you are of the truthful ones?"
law mā tatīnā bil-malāikati in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn
15:8 ›
مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوۤا۟ إِذࣰا مُّنظَرِینَ ۝٨
M. Farook Malik
O Muhammad, tell them: "We do not send down the angels except for just cause (to execute Our scourge), and when they come, people are not given respite
mā nunazzilu l-malāikata illā bil-ḥaqi wamā kānū idhan munẓarīn
15:9 ›
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَـٰفِظُونَ ۝٩
M. Farook Malik
Surely We have revealed this reminder (The Qur'an); and We will surely preserve it Ourself
innā naḥnu nazzalnā l-dhik'ra wa-innā lahu laḥāfiẓūn
15:10 ›
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِی شِیَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٠
M. Farook Malik
Certainly We sent Messengers before you among the early nations
walaqad arsalnā min qablika fī shiyaʿi l-awalīn
15:11 ›
وَمَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝١١
M. Farook Malik
but whenever a Messenger came to them, they mocked him
wamā yatīhim min rasūlin illā kānū bihi yastahziūn
15:12 ›
كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١٢
M. Farook Malik
Thus do We let doubt creep into the hearts of the criminals
kadhālika naslukuhu fī qulūbi l-muj'rimīn
15:13 ›
لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٣
M. Farook Malik
that they do not believe in it (The Qur'an), despite the examples of the people who passed before them
lā yu'minūna bihi waqad khalat sunnatu l-awalīn
15:14 ›
وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم بَابࣰا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِیهِ یَعۡرُجُونَ ۝١٤
M. Farook Malik
Even if we had opened a gate in Heaven and they ascend through it and keep on ascending
walaw fataḥnā ʿalayhim bāban mina l-samāi faẓallū fīhi yaʿrujūn
15:15 ›
لَقَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَـٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمࣱ مَّسۡحُورُونَ ۝١٥
M. Farook Malik
still they would have said, 'Our eyes have been dazzled; rather we have been bewitched.'"
laqālū innamā sukkirat abṣārunā bal naḥnu qawmun masḥūrūn
2 Evil will be destroyed
15:16 ›
وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ بُرُوجࣰا وَزَیَّنَّـٰهَا لِلنَّـٰظِرِینَ ۝١٦
M. Farook Malik
It is We who have decked the heavens with constellations and made them fair- seeming for the beholders
walaqad jaʿalnā fī l-samāi burūjan wazayyannāhā lilnnāẓirīn
15:17 ›
وَحَفِظۡنَـٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡطَـٰنࣲ رَّجِیمٍ ۝١٧
M. Farook Malik
and We have guarded them from every accursed Satan
waḥafiẓ'nāhā min kulli shayṭānin rajīmi
15:18 ›
إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝١٨
M. Farook Malik
Any Satan that steals a hearing, there follows him a fiery comet
illā mani is'taraqa l-samʿa fa-atbaʿahu shihābun mubīnu
15:19 ›
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَـٰهَا وَأَلۡقَیۡنَا فِیهَا رَوَ ٰسِیَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ مَّوۡزُونࣲ ۝١٩
M. Farook Malik
We have spread out the earth and set mountains upon it; and caused to grow every suitable thing therein
wal-arḍa madadnāhā wa-alqaynā fīhā rawāsiya wa-anbatnā fīhā min kulli shayin mawzūni
15:20 ›
وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِیهَا مَعَـٰیِشَ وَمَن لَّسۡتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِرَ ٰزِقِینَ ۝٢٠
M. Farook Malik
and We provided therein means of sustenance for you and many other creatures to whom you do not provide
wajaʿalnā lakum fīhā maʿāyisha waman lastum lahu birāziqīn
15:21 ›
وَإِن مِّن شَیۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَاۤىِٕنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥۤ إِلَّا بِقَدَرࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝٢١
M. Farook Malik
There is nothing which is not in Our inexhaustible treasure and sent down in appropriate measure
wa-in min shayin illā ʿindanā khazāinuhu wamā nunazziluhu illā biqadarin maʿlūmi
15:22 ›
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلرِّیَـٰحَ لَوَ ٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَسۡقَیۡنَـٰكُمُوهُ وَمَاۤ أَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِخَـٰزِنِینَ ۝٢٢
M. Farook Malik
We send the fertilizing winds and send down water from the sky for you to drink; it is not you who hold the storage of this wealth
wa-arsalnā l-riyāḥa lawāqiḥa fa-anzalnā mina l-samāi māan fa-asqaynākumūhu wamā antum lahu bikhāzinīn
15:23 ›
وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡیِۦ وَنُمِیتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَ ٰرِثُونَ ۝٢٣
M. Farook Malik
Certainly it is We who give life and cause to die, and We are the inheritors of all
wa-innā lanaḥnu nuḥ'yī wanumītu wanaḥnu l-wārithūn
15:24 ›
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِینَ مِنكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَءۡخِرِینَ ۝٢٤
M. Farook Malik
Certainly We have full knowledge of those who have gone before you and certainly We know those who will come later
walaqad ʿalim'nā l-mus'taqdimīna minkum walaqad ʿalim'nā l-mus'takhirīn
15:25 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ یَحۡشُرُهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِیمٌ عَلِیمࣱ ۝٢٥
M. Farook Malik
Surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowledgeable
wa-inna rabbaka huwa yaḥshuruhum innahu ḥakīmun ʿalīmu
3 Devil's Opposition to Righteous
15:26 ›
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ ۝٢٦
M. Farook Malik
We created man from sounding clay, black mud moulded into shape
walaqad khalaqnā l-insāna min ṣalṣālin min ḥama-in masnūni
15:27 ›
وَٱلۡجَاۤنَّ خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ ۝٢٧
M. Farook Malik
while before him We had created Jinn from smokeless fire
wal-jāna khalaqnāhu min qablu min nāri l-samūm
15:28 ›
وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةِ إِنِّی خَـٰلِقُۢ بَشَرࣰا مِّن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ ۝٢٨
M. Farook Malik
Remember when your Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create a man from sounding clay, black mud moulded into shape
wa-idh qāla rabbuka lil'malāikati innī khāliqun basharan min ṣalṣālin min ḥama-in masnūni
15:29 ›
فَإِذَا سَوَّیۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِیهِ مِن رُّوحِی فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِینَ ۝٢٩
M. Farook Malik
when I complete his moulding and breath into him of My spirit, kneel down and prostrate before him."
fa-idhā sawwaytuhu wanafakhtu fīhi min rūḥī faqaʿū lahu sājidīn
15:30 ›
فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ ۝٣٠
M. Farook Malik
Accordingly the angels prostrated altogether
fasajada l-malāikatu kulluhum ajmaʿūn
15:31 ›
إِلَّاۤ إِبۡلِیسَ أَبَىٰۤ أَن یَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ۝٣١
M. Farook Malik
except Iblees (The Satan); he refused to join those who prostrated
illā ib'līsa abā an yakūna maʿa l-sājidīn
15:32 ›
قَالَ یَـٰۤإِبۡلِیسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ۝٣٢
M. Farook Malik
Allah asked: "O Iblees! What is the matter with you that you did not join those who prostrated?"
qāla yāib'līsu mā laka allā takūna maʿa l-sājidīn
15:33 ›
قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَـٰلࣲ مِّنۡ حَمَإࣲ مَّسۡنُونࣲ ۝٣٣
M. Farook Malik
He replied: "It does not behoove me to prostrate myself to this man whom You have created from sounding clay, black mud moulded into shape."
qāla lam akun li-asjuda libasharin khalaqtahu min ṣalṣālin min ḥama-in masnūni
15:34 ›
قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِیمࣱ ۝٣٤
M. Farook Malik
Allah said: "Get out of here, you are accursed
qāla fa-ukh'ruj min'hā fa-innaka rajīmu
15:35 ›
وَإِنَّ عَلَیۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلدِّینِ ۝٣٥
M. Farook Malik
The curse will remain on you till the Day of Judgement."
wa-inna ʿalayka l-laʿnata ilā yawmi l-dīn
15:36 ›
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِیۤ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ یُبۡعَثُونَ ۝٣٦
M. Farook Malik
At this Iblees requested: "Lord! Give me respite till the Day of Resurrection."
qāla rabbi fa-anẓir'nī ilā yawmi yub'ʿathūn
15:37 ›
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِینَ ۝٣٧
M. Farook Malik
Allah said: "All right! You are given the respit
qāla fa-innaka mina l-munẓarīn
15:38 ›
إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ ۝٣٨
M. Farook Malik
till the Day of appointed time."
ilā yawmi l-waqti l-maʿlūm
15:39 ›
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَاۤ أَغۡوَیۡتَنِی لَأُزَیِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِیَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٣٩
M. Farook Malik
Iblees said: "Lord! Since You let me go astray, I will make evil fair-seeming to them on earth and I will seduce them al
qāla rabbi bimā aghwaytanī la-uzayyinanna lahum fī l-arḍi wala-ugh'wiyannahum ajmaʿīn
15:40 ›
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِینَ ۝٤٠
M. Farook Malik
except those of them who are Your sincere devotees."
illā ʿibādaka min'humu l-mukh'laṣīn
15:41 ›
قَالَ هَـٰذَا صِرَ ٰطٌ عَلَیَّ مُسۡتَقِیمٌ ۝٤١
M. Farook Malik
Allah said: "This course of action is all right with M
qāla hādhā ṣirāṭun ʿalayya mus'taqīmu
15:42 ›
إِنَّ عِبَادِی لَیۡسَ لَكَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَـٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِینَ ۝٤٢
M. Farook Malik
- you will not have any authority over My devotees except those misguided ones who follow you
inna ʿibādī laysa laka ʿalayhim sul'ṭānun illā mani ittabaʿaka mina l-ghāwīn
15:43 ›
وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٤٣
M. Farook Malik
They will be all destined for Hell
wa-inna jahannama lamawʿiduhum ajmaʿīn
15:44 ›
لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡوَ ٰبࣲ لِّكُلِّ بَابࣲ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءࣱ مَّقۡسُومٌ ۝٤٤
M. Farook Malik
which has seven gates, each gate will be assigned to a separate group from among them."
lahā sabʿatu abwābin likulli bābin min'hum juz'on maqsūmu
4 Mercy for the Righteous — Abraham
15:45 ›
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ فِی جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونٍ ۝٤٥
M. Farook Malik
The righteous will be in the midst of the gardens and fountains of paradis
inna l-mutaqīna fī jannātin waʿuyūni
15:46 ›
ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَـٰمٍ ءَامِنِینَ ۝٤٦
M. Farook Malik
and it will be said to them: "Enter into these in peace and security."
ud'khulūhā bisalāmin āminīn
15:47 ›
وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِی صُدُورِهِم مِّنۡ غِلٍّ إِخۡوَ ٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِینَ ۝٤٧
M. Farook Malik
We shall remove all hatred from their hearts -they will become like brothers and sit on couches face to face
wanazaʿnā mā fī ṣudūrihim min ghillin ikh'wānan ʿalā sururin mutaqābilīn
15:48 ›
لَا یَمَسُّهُمۡ فِیهَا نَصَبࣱ وَمَا هُم مِّنۡهَا بِمُخۡرَجِینَ ۝٤٨
M. Farook Malik
No fatigue will touch them in there, nor will they ever be asked to leave
lā yamassuhum fīhā naṣabun wamā hum min'hā bimukh'rajīn
15:49 ›
۞ نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِیۤ أَنِّیۤ أَنَا ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝٤٩
M. Farook Malik
O Prophet! Tell My devotees that I am indeed the Forgiving, the Merciful
nabbi ʿibādī annī anā l-ghafūru l-raḥīm
15:50 ›
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِی هُوَ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ٱلۡأَلِیمُ ۝٥٠
M. Farook Malik
but at the same time My punishment is also the most painful punishment
wa-anna ʿadhābī huwa l-ʿadhābu l-alīm
15:51 ›
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَن ضَیۡفِ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ۝٥١
M. Farook Malik
Tell them about the guests of Abraham
wanabbi'hum ʿan ḍayfi ib'rāhīm
15:52 ›
إِذۡ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمࣰا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمۡ وَجِلُونَ ۝٥٢
M. Farook Malik
They entered upon them and said: "Peace be upon you!" But he replied: "Surely we are afraid of you."
idh dakhalū ʿalayhi faqālū salāman qāla innā minkum wajilūn
15:53 ›
قَالُوا۟ لَا تَوۡجَلۡ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَـٰمٍ عَلِیمࣲ ۝٥٣
M. Farook Malik
They answered: "Do not be afraid of us! We have come to you with good news of a son endowed with knowledge."
qālū lā tawjal innā nubashiruka bighulāmin ʿalīmi
15:54 ›
قَالَ أَبَشَّرۡتُمُونِی عَلَىٰۤ أَن مَّسَّنِیَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ ۝٥٤
M. Farook Malik
He said: "Are you giving me the good news of a son when I have become old? What kind of good news you are giving?"
qāla abashartumūnī ʿalā an massaniya l-kibaru fabima tubashirūn
15:55 ›
قَالُوا۟ بَشَّرۡنَـٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَـٰنِطِینَ ۝٥٥
M. Farook Malik
They replied: "We are giving you true good news; you should not be of those who despair."
qālū basharnāka bil-ḥaqi falā takun mina l-qāniṭīn
15:56 ›
قَالَ وَمَن یَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦۤ إِلَّا ٱلضَّاۤلُّونَ ۝٥٦
M. Farook Malik
He said: "Who would despair of the mercy of his Lord except one who goes astray?"
qāla waman yaqnaṭu min raḥmati rabbihi illā l-ḍālūn
15:57 ›
قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَیُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ۝٥٧
M. Farook Malik
Then he asked: "On what expedition you have been sent, O emissaries of Allah?"
qāla famā khaṭbukum ayyuhā l-mur'salūn
15:58 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّاۤ أُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمࣲ مُّجۡرِمِینَ ۝٥٨
M. Farook Malik
They replied: "We have been sent to punish a criminal nation
qālū innā ur'sil'nā ilā qawmin muj'rimīn
15:59 ›
إِلَّاۤ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٥٩
M. Farook Malik
with the exception of Lot’s (Lot's) family; we will certainly rescue them al
illā āla lūṭin innā lamunajjūhum ajmaʿīn
15:60 ›
إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَاۤ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ ۝٦٠
M. Farook Malik
except his wife, who, Allah says, has been destined to remain with those who will stay behind."
illā im'ra-atahu qaddarnā innahā lamina l-ghābirīn
5 Lot and Shu'aib
15:61 ›
فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ۝٦١
M. Farook Malik
So when the emissaries came to the family of Lot
falammā jāa āla lūṭin l-mur'salūn
15:62 ›
قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ مُّنكَرُونَ ۝٦٢
M. Farook Malik
he said: " You appear to be strangers."
qāla innakum qawmun munkarūn
15:63 ›
قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ جِئۡنَـٰكَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ فِیهِ یَمۡتَرُونَ ۝٦٣
M. Farook Malik
They said: "We have come to you with that concerning which these people had doubts
qālū bal ji'nāka bimā kānū fīhi yamtarūn
15:64 ›
وَأَتَیۡنَـٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ ۝٦٤
M. Farook Malik
We have come to you with the Truth of Allah’s decree and we are telling you the truth
wa-ataynāka bil-ḥaqi wa-innā laṣādiqūn
15:65 ›
فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعࣲ مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ وَٱتَّبِعۡ أَدۡبَـٰرَهُمۡ وَلَا یَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدࣱ وَٱمۡضُوا۟ حَیۡثُ تُؤۡمَرُونَ ۝٦٥
M. Farook Malik
You should, therefore, depart with your family during the last hours of the night and you yourself should follow them at their rear; let no one of you look back, keep on going where you are commanded to go."
fa-asri bi-ahlika biqiṭ'ʿin mina al-layli wa-ittabiʿ adbārahum walā yaltafit minkum aḥadun wa-im'ḍū ḥaythu tu'marūn
15:66 ›
وَقَضَیۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡهِ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ مَقۡطُوعࣱ مُّصۡبِحِینَ ۝٦٦
M. Farook Malik
We informed him about this decree of Ours that the roots of the sinners of his city would be cut off by the morning
waqaḍaynā ilayhi dhālika l-amra anna dābira hāulāi maqṭūʿun muṣ'biḥīn
15:67 ›
وَجَاۤءَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَدِینَةِ یَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ ۝٦٧
M. Farook Malik
The people of the town came rejoicing to the house of Lot when they heard the news of those two young male visitors
wajāa ahlu l-madīnati yastabshirūn
15:68 ›
قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ ضَیۡفِی فَلَا تَفۡضَحُونِ ۝٦٨
M. Farook Malik
Lot said: "They are my guests, so do not disgrace me
qāla inna hāulāi ḍayfī falā tafḍaḥūn
15:69 ›
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ ۝٦٩
M. Farook Malik
Have fear of Allah and do not put me to shame."
wa-ittaqū l-laha walā tukh'zūn
15:70 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ أَوَ لَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٧٠
M. Farook Malik
They said: "Have we not forbidden you to plead for the rest of the world?"
qālū awalam nanhaka ʿani l-ʿālamīn
15:71 ›
قَالَ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ بَنَاتِیۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَـٰعِلِینَ ۝٧١
M. Farook Malik
He said: "Here are my daughters, if you must act."
qāla hāulāi banātī in kuntum fāʿilīn
15:72 ›
لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِی سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ یَعۡمَهُونَ ۝٧٢
M. Farook Malik
By your life, O Prophet Muhammad, they were madly blundering in their intoxication of lust
laʿamruka innahum lafī sakratihim yaʿmahūn
15:73 ›
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِینَ ۝٧٣
M. Farook Malik
So the mighty blast overtook them at sunrise
fa-akhadhathumu l-ṣayḥatu mush'riqīn
15:74 ›
فَجَعَلۡنَا عَـٰلِیَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةࣰ مِّن سِجِّیلٍ ۝٧٤
M. Farook Malik
Thus We turned the town upside down and rained down on them brimstones of baked clay
fajaʿalnā ʿāliyahā sāfilahā wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhim ḥijāratan min sijjīli
15:75 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِینَ ۝٧٥
M. Farook Malik
Surely there are major lessons in this for those who investigate
inna fī dhālika laāyātin lil'mutawassimīn
15:76 ›
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِیلࣲ مُّقِیمٍ ۝٧٦
M. Farook Malik
and this smitten town still lies right on the permanent highway on which the unbelievers travel during their business trips
wa-innahā labisabīlin muqīmi
15:77 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٧٧
M. Farook Malik
Indeed there is a sign in this for the true believers
inna fī dhālika laāyatan lil'mu'minīn
15:78 ›
وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡأَیۡكَةِ لَظَـٰلِمِینَ ۝٧٨
M. Farook Malik
The people of Al- Aikah (the nation of Prophet Shu’aib) were also wrongdoers
wa-in kāna aṣḥābu l-aykati laẓālimīn
15:79 ›
فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٧٩
M. Farook Malik
So We inflicted retribution on them. The ruined towns of these two nations are lying on an open road
fa-intaqamnā min'hum wa-innahumā labi-imāmin mubīni
6 Warning to Dwellers of Rock
15:80 ›
وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝٨٠
M. Farook Malik
The people of Hijr also denied their Messenger
walaqad kadhaba aṣḥābu l-ḥij'ri l-mur'salīn
15:81 ›
وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِنَا فَكَانُوا۟ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِینَ ۝٨١
M. Farook Malik
We gave them Our signs, but they ignored them
waātaynāhum āyātinā fakānū ʿanhā muʿ'riḍīn
15:82 ›
وَكَانُوا۟ یَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُیُوتًا ءَامِنِینَ ۝٨٢
M. Farook Malik
They hewed their homes in the mountains for safety
wakānū yanḥitūna mina l-jibāli buyūtan āminīn
15:83 ›
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّیۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِینَ ۝٨٣
M. Farook Malik
But the mighty blast seized them one morning, and all their labor of building their homes through carving the rocks did not avail them
fa-akhadhathumu l-ṣayḥatu muṣ'biḥīn
15:84 ›
فَمَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یَكۡسِبُونَ ۝٨٤
M. Farook Malik
We have not created the Heavens and the Earth, and all that lies between them but to manifest the Truth
famā aghnā ʿanhum mā kānū yaksibūn
15:85 ›
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَءَاتِیَةࣱۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِیلَ ۝٨٥
M. Farook Malik
The Hour of Doom is sure to come, so overlook their misbehavior in a gracious manner
wamā khalaqnā l-samāwāti wal-arḍa wamā baynahumā illā bil-ḥaqi wa-inna l-sāʿata laātiyatun fa-iṣ'faḥi l-ṣafḥa l-jamīl
15:86 ›
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝٨٦
M. Farook Malik
Surely your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator
inna rabbaka huwa l-khalāqu l-ʿalīm
15:87 ›
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰكَ سَبۡعࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِی وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِیمَ ۝٨٧
M. Farook Malik
We have given you the Seven Verses that are worthy of recitation over and over again (Surah Al-Fatiha) and the Glorious Qur'an
walaqad ātaynāka sabʿan mina l-mathānī wal-qur'āna l-ʿaẓīm
15:88 ›
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَیۡنَیۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦۤ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٨٨
M. Farook Malik
Do not look at the worldly wealth which We have given to different people among them, nor grieve at their condition. Leave them alone, attend to the believers in kindness
lā tamuddanna ʿaynayka ilā mā mattaʿnā bihi azwājan min'hum walā taḥzan ʿalayhim wa-ikh'fiḍ janāḥaka lil'mu'minīn
15:89 ›
وَقُلۡ إِنِّیۤ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِیرُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ ۝٨٩
M. Farook Malik
and tell the unbelievers: "Surely I am only a plain Warner."
waqul innī anā l-nadhīru l-mubīn
15:90 ›
كَمَاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِینَ ۝٩٠
M. Farook Malik
This warning is like the warning which We sent down to the schismatics
kamā anzalnā ʿalā l-muq'tasimīn
15:91 ›
ٱلَّذِینَ جَعَلُوا۟ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عِضِینَ ۝٩١
M. Farook Malik
the one who divided their Qur’an into separate parts, believing in some and denying others
alladhīna jaʿalū l-qur'āna ʿiḍīn
15:92 ›
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡءَلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٩٢
M. Farook Malik
So by your Lord! We will question them al
fawarabbika lanasalannahum ajmaʿīn
15:93 ›
عَمَّا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٩٣
M. Farook Malik
about their doings
fa-iṣ'daʿ bimā tu'maru wa-aʿriḍ ʿani l-mush'rikīn
15:94 ›
فَٱصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ ۝٩٤
M. Farook Malik
Therefore, proclaim publicly what you are commanded and turn away from the pagans
FaisdaAA bima tu/maru waaAArid AAani almushrikeena
15:95 ›
إِنَّا كَفَیۡنَـٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِینَ ۝٩٥
M. Farook Malik
Surely We Ourself will suffice you against the scoffers
innā kafaynāka l-mus'tahziīn
15:96 ›
ٱلَّذِینَ یَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٩٦
M. Farook Malik
those who place other deities alongside Allah, will soon come to know their folly
alladhīna yajʿalūna maʿa l-lahi ilāhan ākhara fasawfa yaʿlamūn
15:97 ›
وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ یَضِیقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا یَقُولُونَ ۝٩٧
M. Farook Malik
We know that your heart is distressed by what they say against you
walaqad naʿlamu annaka yaḍīqu ṣadruka bimā yaqūlūn
15:98 ›
فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ۝٩٨
M. Farook Malik
The cure of your heart’s distress is that you should celebrate the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves before Him
fasabbiḥ biḥamdi rabbika wakun mina l-sājidīn
15:99 ›
وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ یَأۡتِیَكَ ٱلۡیَقِینُ ۝٩٩
M. Farook Malik
and worship your Lord until there comes to you which is certain (death)
wa-uʿ'bud rabbaka ḥattā yatiyaka l-yaqīn
