۞ طسۤمۤ ۝١

Ta. Sin. Mim
tta-seen-mee
26:2 ›
تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِینِ ۝٢
Mohammad Shafi
These are Verses of the Book that gives clear guidance.
til'ka āyātu l-kitābi l-mubīn
26:3 ›
لَعَلَّكَ بَـٰخِعࣱ نَّفۡسَكَ أَلَّا یَكُونُوا۟ مُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٣
Mohammad Shafi
Would you (Prophet Muhammad) kill yourself because they do not believe
laʿallaka bākhiʿun nafsaka allā yakūnū mu'minīn
26:4 ›
إِن نَّشَأۡ نُنَزِّلۡ عَلَیۡهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ ءَایَةࣰ فَظَلَّتۡ أَعۡنَـٰقُهُمۡ لَهَا خَـٰضِعِینَ ۝٤
Mohammad Shafi
Had We so willed, We could have sent down to them a Message from on high, and then their necks would submissively bow to it
in nasha nunazzil ʿalayhim mina l-samāi āyatan faẓallat aʿnāquhum lahā khāḍiʿīn
26:5 ›
وَمَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن ذِكۡرࣲ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ مُحۡدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضِینَ ۝٥
Mohammad Shafi
And no new aspect of divinity comes to them from the Gracious One, but they turn away from it
wamā yatīhim min dhik'rin mina l-raḥmāni muḥ'dathin illā kānū ʿanhu muʿ'riḍīn
26:6 ›
فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَیَأۡتِیهِمۡ أَنۢبَـٰۤؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝٦
Mohammad Shafi
Then they did deny it (the Zikr) as false. But soon there will come to them the true information as to what it was that they used to scoff at
faqad kadhabū fasayatīhim anbāu mā kānū bihi yastahziūn
26:7 ›
أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَمۡ أَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجࣲ كَرِیمٍ ۝٧
Mohammad Shafi
Do they not have a look at the earth to see how We grow therein produce of every noble kind
awalam yaraw ilā l-arḍi kam anbatnā fīhā min kulli zawjin karīmi
26:8 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٨
Mohammad Shafi
Therein indeed is a sign. And most of them will not believe
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:9 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝٩
Mohammad Shafi
And, indeed, your Lord is certainly the One Who is Omnipotent, Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
2 Moses called and sent to Pharaoh
26:10 ›
وَإِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنِ ٱئۡتِ ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝١٠
Mohammad Shafi
And when your Lord called out to Moses: "Go to those wicked people."
wa-idh nādā rabbuka mūsā ani i'ti l-qawma l-ẓālimīn
26:11 ›
قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ أَلَا یَتَّقُونَ ۝١١
Mohammad Shafi
"Go to the people of Pharaoh! They fear not (the inevitable consequence of being wicked)!"
qawma fir'ʿawna alā yattaqūn
26:12 ›
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ أَن یُكَذِّبُونِ ۝١٢
Mohammad Shafi
Moses said, "My Lord! I do indeed fear they may not believe me,"
qāla rabbi innī akhāfu an yukadhibūn
26:13 ›
وَیَضِیقُ صَدۡرِی وَلَا یَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِی فَأَرۡسِلۡ إِلَىٰ هَـٰرُونَ ۝١٣
Mohammad Shafi
"And my heart is straitened and my tongue not fluent. So then send this command to (my brother) Aaron."
wayaḍīqu ṣadrī walā yanṭaliqu lisānī fa-arsil ilā hārūn
26:14 ›
وَلَهُمۡ عَلَیَّ ذَنۢبࣱ فَأَخَافُ أَن یَقۡتُلُونِ ۝١٤
Mohammad Shafi
"And, they have a criminal charge against me, so I fear they will kill me."
walahum ʿalayya dhanbun fa-akhāfu an yaqtulūn
26:15 ›
قَالَ كَلَّاۖ فَٱذۡهَبَا بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسۡتَمِعُونَ ۝١٥
Mohammad Shafi
Allah said, "Worry not about it! Go then to them, both of you, with Our signs/messages. We shall indeed be with you, ever listening
qāla kallā fa-idh'habā biāyātinā innā maʿakum mus'tamiʿūn
26:16 ›
فَأۡتِیَا فِرۡعَوۡنَ فَقُولَاۤ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٦
Mohammad Shafi
And when, both of you, come before Pharaoh, tell him, `We are indeed sent by the Lord of the worlds "
fatiyā fir'ʿawna faqūlā innā rasūlu rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:17 ›
أَنۡ أَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَا بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝١٧
Mohammad Shafi
"So you let the children of Israel go with us!'"
an arsil maʿanā banī is'rāīl
26:18 ›
قَالَ أَلَمۡ نُرَبِّكَ فِینَا وَلِیدࣰا وَلَبِثۡتَ فِینَا مِنۡ عُمُرِكَ سِنِینَ ۝١٨
Mohammad Shafi
Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up amongst us as a child? And did you not spend among us years of your life?"
qāla alam nurabbika fīnā walīdan walabith'ta fīnā min ʿumurika sinīn
26:19 ›
وَفَعَلۡتَ فَعۡلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِی فَعَلۡتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ ۝١٩
Mohammad Shafi
And you did what you did, and you remain ungrateful (that we have not punished you)!"
wafaʿalta faʿlataka allatī faʿalta wa-anta mina l-kāfirīn
26:20 ›
قَالَ فَعَلۡتُهَاۤ إِذࣰا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ۝٢٠
Mohammad Shafi
Moses said, "I did it while I was among those who go astray."
qāla faʿaltuhā idhan wa-anā mina l-ḍālīn
26:21 ›
فَفَرَرۡتُ مِنكُمۡ لَمَّا خِفۡتُكُمۡ فَوَهَبَ لِی رَبِّی حُكۡمࣰا وَجَعَلَنِی مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝٢١
Mohammad Shafi
"And I fled from you because I feared you. And then my Lord bestowed me with a command and made me one of the Messengers."
fafarartu minkum lammā khif'tukum fawahaba lī rabbī ḥuk'man wajaʿalanī mina l-mur'salīn
26:22 ›
وَتِلۡكَ نِعۡمَةࣱ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَیَّ أَنۡ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝٢٢
Mohammad Shafi
"And is this a favour you did me — that you had enslaved the children of Israel?"
watil'ka niʿ'matun tamunnuhā ʿalayya an ʿabbadtta banī is'rāīl
26:23 ›
قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٢٣
Mohammad Shafi
Pharaoh said: "And who is `Lord of the worlds'?"
qāla fir'ʿawnu wamā rabbu l-ʿālamīn
26:24 ›
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِینَ ۝٢٤
Mohammad Shafi
Moses replied, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you would but be convinced!"
qāla rabbu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wamā baynahumā in kuntum mūqinīn
26:25 ›
قَالَ لِمَنۡ حَوۡلَهُۥۤ أَلَا تَسۡتَمِعُونَ ۝٢٥
Mohammad Shafi
Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear?"
qāla liman ḥawlahu alā tastamiʿūn
26:26 ›
قَالَ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَاۤىِٕكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٢٦
Mohammad Shafi
Moses continued, "Your Lord, and Lord of your forefathers!"
qāla rabbukum warabbu ābāikumu l-awalīn
26:27 ›
قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِیۤ أُرۡسِلَ إِلَیۡكُمۡ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ ۝٢٧
Mohammad Shafi
Pharaoh interjected, "Indeed, your `Messenger' who has been sent to you is certainly mad!"
qāla inna rasūlakumu alladhī ur'sila ilaykum lamajnūnu
26:28 ›
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٢٨
Mohammad Shafi
Moses went on, "Lord of the east and the west and of all that is between the two if you would but understand!"
qāla rabbu l-mashriqi wal-maghribi wamā baynahumā in kuntum taʿqilūn
26:29 ›
قَالَ لَىِٕنِ ٱتَّخَذۡتَ إِلَـٰهًا غَیۡرِی لَأَجۡعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجُونِینَ ۝٢٩
Mohammad Shafi
Pharaoh Said, "Verily, if you have any deity other than me, I shall certainly put you into prison!"
qāla la-ini ittakhadhta ilāhan ghayrī la-ajʿalannaka mina l-masjūnīn
26:30 ›
قَالَ أَوَ لَوۡ جِئۡتُكَ بِشَیۡءࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٣٠
Mohammad Shafi
Moses said, "Even if I bring to you clear evidence?"
qāla awalaw ji'tuka bishayin mubīni
26:31 ›
قَالَ فَأۡتِ بِهِۦۤ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝٣١
Mohammad Shafi
Pharaoh said, "Produce it, then, if you are a man of truth!"
qāla fati bihi in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn
26:32 ›
فَأَلۡقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِیَ ثُعۡبَانࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝٣٢
Mohammad Shafi
Moses then threw down his staff, and it became a veritable serpent
fa-alqā ʿaṣāhu fa-idhā hiya thuʿ'bānun mubīnu
26:33 ›
وَنَزَعَ یَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِیَ بَیۡضَاۤءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِینَ ۝٣٣
Mohammad Shafi
And he drew out his hand, and it appeared white to the beholders
wanazaʿa yadahu fa-idhā hiya bayḍāu lilnnāẓirīn
3 Moses and Enchanters
26:34 ›
قَالَ لِلۡمَلَإِ حَوۡلَهُۥۤ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِیمࣱ ۝٣٤
Mohammad Shafi
Pharaoh said to the chieftains around him: "Indeed, this one is certainly an expert magician."
qāla lil'mala-i ḥawlahu inna hādhā lasāḥirun ʿalīmu
26:35 ›
یُرِیدُ أَن یُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُم بِسِحۡرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأۡمُرُونَ ۝٣٥
Mohammad Shafi
"He wants to drive you out of your land by his black magic. What, then, do you advise?"
yurīdu an yukh'rijakum min arḍikum bisiḥ'rihi famādhā tamurūn
26:36 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبۡعَثۡ فِی ٱلۡمَدَاۤىِٕنِ حَـٰشِرِینَ ۝٣٦
Mohammad Shafi
They said, "Defer the decision on him and his brother, and send callers to cities and towns."
qālū arjih wa-akhāhu wa-ib'ʿath fī l-madāini ḥāshirīn
26:37 ›
یَأۡتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِیمࣲ ۝٣٧
Mohammad Shafi
"They will bring to you all expert magicians."
yatūka bikulli saḥḥārin ʿalīmi
26:38 ›
فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِیقَـٰتِ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝٣٨
Mohammad Shafi
And so the magicians were assembled for public show at a set time on a certain day
fajumiʿa l-saḥaratu limīqāti yawmin maʿlūmi
26:39 ›
وَقِیلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلۡ أَنتُم مُّجۡتَمِعُونَ ۝٣٩
Mohammad Shafi
And the people were asked, "Are you all gathered here,"
waqīla lilnnāsi hal antum muj'tamiʿūn
26:40 ›
لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبِینَ ۝٤٠
Mohammad Shafi
"So that we might cheer the magicians if it is they who prevail?"
laʿallanā nattabiʿu l-saḥarata in kānū humu l-ghālibīn
26:41 ›
فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ أَىِٕنَّ لَنَا لَأَجۡرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبِینَ ۝٤١
Mohammad Shafi
So when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh, "Are we not indeed entitled certainly to a reward if it is we who prevail?"
falammā jāa l-saḥaratu qālū lifir'ʿawna a-inna lanā la-ajran in kunnā naḥnu l-ghālibīn
26:42 ›
قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَإِنَّكُمۡ إِذࣰا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِینَ ۝٤٢
Mohammad Shafi
Pharaoh said, "Of course! And, indeed, in that case you shall be among those who are near to me."
qāla naʿam wa-innakum idhan lamina l-muqarabīn
26:43 ›
قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰۤ أَلۡقُوا۟ مَاۤ أَنتُم مُّلۡقُونَ ۝٤٣
Mohammad Shafi
Moses said to them: "Cast down whatever you were to cast!"
qāla lahum mūsā alqū mā antum mul'qūn
26:44 ›
فَأَلۡقَوۡا۟ حِبَالَهُمۡ وَعِصِیَّهُمۡ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبُونَ ۝٤٤
Mohammad Shafi
Then they did cast down their ropes and their staffs, and said, "By Pharaoh's honour, behold, it is we certainly who shall prevail!"
fa-alqaw ḥibālahum waʿiṣiyyahum waqālū biʿizzati fir'ʿawna innā lanaḥnu l-ghālibūn
26:45 ›
فَأَلۡقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِیَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا یَأۡفِكُونَ ۝٤٥
Mohammad Shafi
And then Moses threw his staff. And lo! It swallowed up all their deceptions
fa-alqā mūsā ʿaṣāhu fa-idhā hiya talqafu mā yafikūn
26:46 ›
فَأُلۡقِیَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَـٰجِدِینَ ۝٤٦
Mohammad Shafi
And the magicians fell down in prostration
fa-ul'qiya l-saḥaratu sājidīn
26:47 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٤٧
Mohammad Shafi
They said: "We believe in the Lord of the worlds!"
qālū āmannā birabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:48 ›
رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ۝٤٨
Mohammad Shafi
"The Lord of Moses and Aaron!"
rabbi mūsā wahārūn
26:49 ›
قَالَ ءَامَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِیرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِی عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحۡرَ فَلَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَیۡدِیَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَـٰفࣲ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٤٩
Mohammad Shafi
Pharaoh said, "You believe him before I permit you? Indeed, he must be your master who has taught you magic! But you shall certainly come to know who the master is. I shall certainly cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and shall certainly crucify you, all together!"
qāla āmantum lahu qabla an ādhana lakum innahu lakabīrukumu alladhī ʿallamakumu l-siḥ'ra falasawfa taʿlamūna la-uqaṭṭiʿanna aydiyakum wa-arjulakum min khilāfin wala-uṣallibannakum ajmaʿīn
26:50 ›
قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَیۡرَۖ إِنَّاۤ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ ۝٥٠
Mohammad Shafi
The magicians said, "No matter! We shall indeed return to our Lord."
qālū lā ḍayra innā ilā rabbinā munqalibūn
26:51 ›
إِنَّا نَطۡمَعُ أَن یَغۡفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَـٰیَـٰنَاۤ أَن كُنَّاۤ أَوَّلَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٥١
Mohammad Shafi
"We do indeed ardently desire that our Lord forgive us our faults now that we have been among the foremost to believe!"
innā naṭmaʿu an yaghfira lanā rabbunā khaṭāyānā an kunnā awwala l-mu'minīn
4 Moses delivered, Pharaoh drowned
26:52 ›
۞ وَأَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنۡ أَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِیۤ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ۝٥٢
Mohammad Shafi
And We conveyed to Moses Allah's instructions, "Leave with My devotees (Children of Israel) by night. You will he pursued (by Pharaoh's army)!"
wa-awḥaynā ilā mūsā an asri biʿibādī innakum muttabaʿūn
26:53 ›
فَأَرۡسَلَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ فِی ٱلۡمَدَاۤىِٕنِ حَـٰشِرِینَ ۝٥٣
Mohammad Shafi
And then Pharaoh sent heralds to all cities/towns
fa-arsala fir'ʿawnu fī l-madāini ḥāshirīn
26:54 ›
إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ لَشِرۡذِمَةࣱ قَلِیلُونَ ۝٥٤
Mohammad Shafi
"These [Children of Israel] are but a small gang."
inna hāulāi lashir'dhimatun qalīlūn
26:55 ›
وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَنَا لَغَاۤىِٕظُونَ ۝٥٥
Mohammad Shafi
"And they have surely enraged us."
wa-innahum lanā laghāiẓūn
26:56 ›
وَإِنَّا لَجَمِیعٌ حَـٰذِرُونَ ۝٥٦
Mohammad Shafi
"And we are indeed a vigilant multitude."
wa-innā lajamīʿun ḥādhirūn
26:57 ›
فَأَخۡرَجۡنَـٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونࣲ ۝٥٧
Mohammad Shafi
And so We made them (Pharaoh's people) come out of gardens and springs
fa-akhrajnāhum min jannātin waʿuyūni
26:58 ›
وَكُنُوزࣲ وَمَقَامࣲ كَرِیمࣲ ۝٥٨
Mohammad Shafi
And We made them (Pharaoh's people) leave their treasures and places of honour
wakunūzin wamaqāmin karīmi
26:59 ›
كَذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَـٰهَا بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝٥٩
Mohammad Shafi
And [in course of time] We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things
kadhālika wa-awrathnāhā banī is'rāīl
26:60 ›
فَأَتۡبَعُوهُم مُّشۡرِقِینَ ۝٦٠
Mohammad Shafi
Then they [Pharaoh's men] went in pursuit of them (Children of Israel) eastwards
fa-atbaʿūhum mush'riqīn
26:61 ›
فَلَمَّا تَرَ ٰۤءَا ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ قَالَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰۤ إِنَّا لَمُدۡرَكُونَ ۝٦١
Mohammad Shafi
Then as the two groups of people (Moses' and Pharaoh's) came in sight of each other, Moses' people exclaimed: "We are indeed certainly overtaken!"
falammā tarāā l-jamʿāni qāla aṣḥābu mūsā innā lamud'rakūn
26:62 ›
قَالَ كَلَّاۤۖ إِنَّ مَعِیَ رَبِّی سَیَهۡدِینِ ۝٦٢
Mohammad Shafi
Moses said, "No! My Lord is with me. HE will guide me!"
qāla kallā inna maʿiya rabbī sayahdīn
26:63 ›
فَأَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنِ ٱضۡرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرۡقࣲ كَٱلطَّوۡدِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٦٣
Mohammad Shafi
We then inspired Moses to strike the sea with his staff. The sea thereupon parted, and each part appeared like a vast mountain
fa-awḥaynā ilā mūsā ani iḍ'rib biʿaṣāka l-baḥra fa-infalaqa fakāna kullu fir'qin kal-ṭawdi l-ʿaẓīm
26:64 ›
وَأَزۡلَفۡنَا ثَمَّ ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ۝٦٤
Mohammad Shafi
And We drew the other party (Pharaoh's people) near thereto
wa-azlafnā thamma l-ākharīn
26:65 ›
وَأَنجَیۡنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥۤ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٦٥
Mohammad Shafi
And We saved Moses and all who were with him
wa-anjaynā mūsā waman maʿahu ajmaʿīn
26:66 ›
ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ۝٦٦
Mohammad Shafi
And then We drowned the others
thumma aghraqnā l-ākharīn
26:67 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٦٧
Mohammad Shafi
Therein indeed was a sign. And yet most of them would not believe
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn

26:68 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝٦٨
Mohammad Shafi
And, indeed, your Lord is certainly the One Omnipotent, Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
26:69 ›
وَٱتۡلُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ۝٦٩
Mohammad Shafi
And recite to them the story of Abraham
wa-ut'lu ʿalayhim naba-a ib'rāhīm
26:70 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِیهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ ۝٧٠
Mohammad Shafi
When he asked his father and his people, "What is it this that you worship?"
idh qāla li-abīhi waqawmihi mā taʿbudūn
26:71 ›
قَالُوا۟ نَعۡبُدُ أَصۡنَامࣰا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِینَ ۝٧١
Mohammad Shafi
They said, "We worship idols, and we bow down to them in devotion."
qālū naʿbudu aṣnāman fanaẓallu lahā ʿākifīn
26:72 ›
قَالَ هَلۡ یَسۡمَعُونَكُمۡ إِذۡ تَدۡعُونَ ۝٧٢
Mohammad Shafi
Abraham asked, "Do these hear you when you invoke them?"
qāla hal yasmaʿūnakum idh tadʿūn
26:73 ›
أَوۡ یَنفَعُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ یَضُرُّونَ ۝٧٣
Mohammad Shafi
"Or do they give you any benefit or any harm?"
aw yanfaʿūnakum aw yaḍurrūn
26:74 ›
قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ وَجَدۡنَاۤ ءَابَاۤءَنَا كَذَ ٰلِكَ یَفۡعَلُونَ ۝٧٤
Mohammad Shafi
Abraham's people said, "But we found our forefathers doing the same!"
qālū bal wajadnā ābāanā kadhālika yafʿalūn
26:75 ›
قَالَ أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ ۝٧٥
Mohammad Shafi
Abraham asked, "Have you, then, ever considered what it is that you have been worshipping?"
qāla afara-aytum mā kuntum taʿbudūn
26:76 ›
أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَاۤؤُكُمُ ٱلۡأَقۡدَمُونَ ۝٧٦
Mohammad Shafi
"You and those ancient forebears of yours?"
antum waābāukumu l-aqdamūn
26:77 ›
فَإِنَّهُمۡ عَدُوࣱّ لِّیۤ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٧٧
Mohammad Shafi
"And, indeed, these are enemies to me, but not the Lord of the worlds."
fa-innahum ʿaduwwun lī illā rabba l-ʿālamīn
26:78 ›
ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَنِی فَهُوَ یَهۡدِینِ ۝٧٨
Mohammad Shafi
"The Lord Who created me and Who then has guided me."
alladhī khalaqanī fahuwa yahdīn
26:79 ›
وَٱلَّذِی هُوَ یُطۡعِمُنِی وَیَسۡقِینِ ۝٧٩
Mohammad Shafi
"And Who gives me food and drink."
wa-alladhī huwa yuṭ'ʿimunī wayasqīn
26:80 ›
وَإِذَا مَرِضۡتُ فَهُوَ یَشۡفِینِ ۝٨٠
Mohammad Shafi
"And, when I fall ill, Who cures me."
wa-idhā mariḍ'tu fahuwa yashfīn
26:81 ›
وَٱلَّذِی یُمِیتُنِی ثُمَّ یُحۡیِینِ ۝٨١
Mohammad Shafi
"And Who will cause me to die and then will bring me back to life."
wa-alladhī yumītunī thumma yuḥ'yīn
26:82 ›
وَٱلَّذِیۤ أَطۡمَعُ أَن یَغۡفِرَ لِی خَطِیۤءَتِی یَوۡمَ ٱلدِّینِ ۝٨٢
Mohammad Shafi
"And Who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Judgment!"
wa-alladhī aṭmaʿu an yaghfira lī khaṭīatī yawma l-dīn
26:83 ›
رَبِّ هَبۡ لِی حُكۡمࣰا وَأَلۡحِقۡنِی بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ۝٨٣
Mohammad Shafi
"My Lord! grant me wisdom, and put me with the righteous."
rabbi hab lī ḥuk'man wa-alḥiq'nī bil-ṣāliḥīn
26:84 ›
وَٱجۡعَل لِّی لِسَانَ صِدۡقࣲ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝٨٤
Mohammad Shafi
"And create a good name for me among the later generations."
wa-ij'ʿal lī lisāna ṣid'qin fī l-ākhirīn
26:85 ›
وَٱجۡعَلۡنِی مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ۝٨٥
Mohammad Shafi
"And place me among those who shall inherit the garden of bliss!"
wa-ij'ʿalnī min warathati jannati l-naʿīm
26:86 ›
وَٱغۡفِرۡ لِأَبِیۤ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ۝٨٦
Mohammad Shafi
"And forgive my father! He is indeed among those who have gone astray."
wa-igh'fir li-abī innahu kāna mina l-ḍālīn
26:87 ›
وَلَا تُخۡزِنِی یَوۡمَ یُبۡعَثُونَ ۝٨٧
Mohammad Shafi
"And put me not to shame on the Day of Resurrection."
walā tukh'zinī yawma yub'ʿathūn
26:88 ›
یَوۡمَ لَا یَنفَعُ مَالࣱ وَلَا بَنُونَ ۝٨٨
Mohammad Shafi
The Day on which neither wealth will be of any use, nor children
yawma lā yanfaʿu mālun walā banūn
26:89 ›
إِلَّا مَنۡ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلۡبࣲ سَلِیمࣲ ۝٨٩
Mohammad Shafi
Except for a mind free of evil with which one comes before Allah
illā man atā l-laha biqalbin salīmi
26:90 ›
وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ ۝٩٠
Mohammad Shafi
And the Garden (Paradise) will be brought near for those who had spent their worldly lives within the parameters laid down by Allah
wa-uz'lifati l-janatu lil'muttaqīn
26:91 ›
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِیمُ لِلۡغَاوِینَ ۝٩١
Mohammad Shafi
And the Hell will be laid open before those who had allowed themselves to be seduced
waburrizati l-jaḥīmu lil'ghāwīn
26:92 ›
وَقِیلَ لَهُمۡ أَیۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ ۝٩٢
Mohammad Shafi
And they will be asked: "Where are those you worshipped?"
waqīla lahum ayna mā kuntum taʿbudūn
26:93 ›
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلۡ یَنصُرُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ یَنتَصِرُونَ ۝٩٣
Mohammad Shafi
"Those, other than Allah, you worshipped? Can those be of any help to you or to themselves?"
min dūni l-lahi hal yanṣurūnakum aw yantaṣirūn
26:94 ›
فَكُبۡكِبُوا۟ فِیهَا هُمۡ وَٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ ۝٩٤
Mohammad Shafi
They will then be hurled into hell — they, as well as those who had seduced them
fakub'kibū fīhā hum wal-ghāwūn
26:95 ›
وَجُنُودُ إِبۡلِیسَ أَجۡمَعُونَ ۝٩٥
Mohammad Shafi
And the army of Iblees (the Satan) - all together
wajunūdu ib'līsa ajmaʿūn
26:96 ›
قَالُوا۟ وَهُمۡ فِیهَا یَخۡتَصِمُونَ ۝٩٦
Mohammad Shafi
They will, blaming one another, say
qālū wahum fīhā yakhtaṣimūn
26:97 ›
تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینٍ ۝٩٧
Mohammad Shafi
"By Allah, we were indeed certainly in clear delusion."
tal-lahi in kunnā lafī ḍalālin mubīni
26:98 ›
إِذۡ نُسَوِّیكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٩٨
Mohammad Shafi
"When we deemed you equal to the Lord of all the worlds!"
idh nusawwīkum birabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:99 ›
وَمَاۤ أَضَلَّنَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٩٩
Mohammad Shafi
"And they who led us astray are none but the culprits!"
wamā aḍallanā illā l-muj'rimūn
26:100 ›
فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَـٰفِعِینَ ۝١٠٠
Mohammad Shafi
"And now we have none to intercede for us."
famā lanā min shāfiʿīn
26:101 ›
وَلَا صَدِیقٍ حَمِیمࣲ ۝١٠١
Mohammad Shafi
"We have no anxious friend either."
walā ṣadīqin ḥamīmi
26:102 ›
فَلَوۡ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةࣰ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٠٢
Mohammad Shafi
If only we had a return [to worldly life], so we could be among the believers!"
falaw anna lanā karratan fanakūna mina l-mu'minīn
26:103 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٠٣
Mohammad Shafi
There is indeed a sign in this, and most of them believe not
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:104 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٠٤
Mohammad Shafi
And, indeed, your Lord — He alone — is the Omnipotent, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
26:105 ›
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٠٥
Mohammad Shafi
The people of Noah did not believe the Messengers
kadhabat qawmu nūḥin l-mur'salīn

26:106 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٠٦
Mohammad Shafi
When their brother Noah said to them, "Are you not scared of wrongful living?"
idh qāla lahum akhūhum nūḥun alā tattaqūn
26:107 ›
إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ۝١٠٧
Mohammad Shafi
"I am indeed a trustworthy Messenger of Allah sent to you!"
innī lakum rasūlun amīnu
26:108 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٠٨
Mohammad Shafi
"Be, then, afraid of Allah, and obey me!"
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:109 ›
وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٠٩
Mohammad Shafi
"And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Lord of the worlds."
wamā asalukum ʿalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illā ʿalā rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:110 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١١٠
Mohammad Shafi
"Be afraid of Allah then, and obey me!"
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:111 ›
۞ قَالُوۤا۟ أَنُؤۡمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلۡأَرۡذَلُونَ ۝١١١
Mohammad Shafi
They said, "Are we to believe you, when those who follow you are the most abject of people?"
qālū anu'minu laka wa-ittabaʿaka l-ardhalūn
26:112 ›
قَالَ وَمَا عِلۡمِی بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١١٢
Mohammad Shafi
He said, "And what do I know what work they do?"
qāla wamā ʿil'mī bimā kānū yaʿmalūn
26:113 ›
إِنۡ حِسَابُهُمۡ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّیۖ لَوۡ تَشۡعُرُونَ ۝١١٣
Mohammad Shafi
"It is for none but Allah to make them account for what they do, if you could but understand this!"
in ḥisābuhum illā ʿalā rabbī law tashʿurūn
26:114 ›
وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١١٤
Mohammad Shafi
"And I am not one to drive away the believers."
wamā anā biṭāridi l-mu'minīn
26:115 ›
إِنۡ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝١١٥
Mohammad Shafi
"I am but a plain warner."
in anā illā nadhīrun mubīnu
26:116 ›
قَالُوا۟ لَىِٕن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ یَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَرۡجُومِینَ ۝١١٦
Mohammad Shafi
They said, "If you desist not, O Noah, you will certainly be stoned to death!"
qālū la-in lam tantahi yānūḥu latakūnanna mina l-marjūmīn
26:117 ›
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوۡمِی كَذَّبُونِ ۝١١٧
Mohammad Shafi
Noah said, "My Lord! Indeed, my people do not believe in me."
qāla rabbi inna qawmī kadhabūn
26:118 ›
فَٱفۡتَحۡ بَیۡنِی وَبَیۡنَهُمۡ فَتۡحࣰا وَنَجِّنِی وَمَن مَّعِیَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١١٨
Mohammad Shafi
"Do settle then the matter between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!"
fa-if'taḥ baynī wabaynahum fatḥan wanajjinī waman maʿiya mina l-mu'minīn
26:119 ›
فَأَنجَیۡنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِی ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ ۝١١٩
Mohammad Shafi
We then saved him and those with him in the fully-laden Ark
fa-anjaynāhu waman maʿahu fī l-ful'ki l-mashḥūn
26:120 ›
ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا بَعۡدُ ٱلۡبَاقِینَ ۝١٢٠
Mohammad Shafi
And We caused the rest thereafter to drown
thumma aghraqnā baʿdu l-bāqīn
26:121 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٢١
Mohammad Shafi
There is indeed in this a sign, and most of them believe not
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn

26:122 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٢٢

And, indeed, your Lord — He alone — is the Omnipotent, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
26:123 ›
كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٌ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٢٣

[The ancient tribe of] AAad did not believe the Messengers
kadhabat ʿādun l-mur'salīn
26:124 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٢٤
Mohammad Shafi
When their brother Hood said to them, "Are you not scared of wrongful living?"
idh qāla lahum akhūhum hūdun alā tattaqūn
26:125 ›
إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ۝١٢٥
Mohammad Shafi
"I am indeed a trustworthy Messenger of Allah sent to you!"
innī lakum rasūlun amīnu
26:126 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٢٦
Mohammad Shafi
"Be afraid of Allah then, and obey me!"
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:127 ›
وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٢٧
Mohammad Shafi
"And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Lord of the worlds."
wamā asalukum ʿalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illā ʿalā rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:128 ›
أَتَبۡنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِیعٍ ءَایَةࣰ تَعۡبَثُونَ ۝١٢٨
Mohammad Shafi
"Would you wantonly build something on every elevated place?"
atabnūna bikulli rīʿin āyatan taʿbathūn
26:129 ›
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَخۡلُدُونَ ۝١٢٩
Mohammad Shafi
"And have strongly built structures to live therein forever!?"
watattakhidhūna maṣāniʿa laʿallakum takhludūn
26:130 ›
وَإِذَا بَطَشۡتُم بَطَشۡتُمۡ جَبَّارِینَ ۝١٣٠
Mohammad Shafi
"And when you control, you control cruelly?"
wa-idhā baṭashtum baṭashtum jabbārīn
26:131 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٣١
Mohammad Shafi
"Be afraid of Allah then, and obey me!"
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:132 ›
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝١٣٢
Mohammad Shafi
"And be afraid of Him who helped you with what you know."
wa-ittaqū alladhī amaddakum bimā taʿlamūn
26:133 ›
أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنۡعَـٰمࣲ وَبَنِینَ ۝١٣٣
Mohammad Shafi
"Helped you with cattle and children."
amaddakum bi-anʿāmin wabanīn
26:134 ›
وَجَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونٍ ۝١٣٤
Mohammad Shafi
"And gardens and springs."
wajannātin waʿuyūni
26:135 ›
إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ ۝١٣٥
Mohammad Shafi
"I do indeed fear that punishment of a dreadful Day may befall you!"
innī akhāfu ʿalaykum ʿadhāba yawmin ʿaẓīmi
26:136 ›
قَالُوا۟ سَوَاۤءٌ عَلَیۡنَاۤ أَوَعَظۡتَ أَمۡ لَمۡ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡوَ ٰعِظِینَ ۝١٣٦
Mohammad Shafi
They said. "It is all the same to us whether you preach or not."
qālū sawāon ʿalaynā awaʿaẓta am lam takun mina l-wāʿiẓīn
26:137 ›
إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٣٧
Mohammad Shafi
"This is nothing but practice/custom of the earlier peoples."
in hādhā illā khuluqu l-awalīn
26:138 ›
وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِینَ ۝١٣٨
Mohammad Shafi
"And we are not going to be punished!"
wamā naḥnu bimuʿadhabīn
26:139 ›
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٣٩
Mohammad Shafi
And so they disbelieved him, and We destroyed them. There is indeed in this a sign, and most of them believe not
fakadhabūhu fa-ahlaknāhum inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:140 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٤٠
Mohammad Shafi
And, indeed, your Lord — He alone — is the Omnipotent, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
8 History of Salih
26:141 ›
كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٤١
Mohammad Shafi
[The ancient tribe of] Thamood did not believe the Messengers
kadhabat thamūdu l-mur'salīn
26:142 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ صَـٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٤٢
Mohammad Shafi
When their brother Salih said to them: "Are you not scared of wrongful living?"
idh qāla lahum akhūhum ṣāliḥun alā tattaqūn
26:143 ›
إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ۝١٤٣
Mohammad Shafi

وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٤٥
Mohammad Shafi

26:146 ›
أَتُتۡرَكُونَ فِی مَا هَـٰهُنَاۤ ءَامِنِینَ ۝١٤٦
Mohammad Shafi
"Will you be left secure among things here?"
atut'rakūna fī mā hāhunā āminīn
26:147 ›
فِی جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونࣲ ۝١٤٧

"Amidst gardens and springs?"
fī jannātin waʿuyūni
26:148 ›
وَزُرُوعࣲ وَنَخۡلࣲ طَلۡعُهَا هَضِیمࣱ ۝١٤٨
Mohammad Shafi
"And fields, and palm-trees with slender stalks?"
wazurūʿin wanakhlin ṭalʿuhā haḍīmu
26:149 ›
وَتَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُیُوتࣰا فَـٰرِهِینَ ۝١٤٩
Mohammad Shafi
"And do you skillfully hew dwellings out of the mountains?"
watanḥitūna mina l-jibāli buyūtan fārihīn
26:150 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٥٠
Mohammad Shafi
"Be afraid of Allah then, and obey me!"
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:151 ›
وَلَا تُطِیعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِینَ ۝١٥١
Mohammad Shafi
"And obey not the command of those given to excesses."
walā tuṭīʿū amra l-mus'rifīn
26:152 ›
ٱلَّذِینَ یُفۡسِدُونَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا یُصۡلِحُونَ ۝١٥٢
Mohammad Shafi
"Those who spread corruption on earth and strive not to set things right."
alladhīna yuf'sidūna fī l-arḍi walā yuṣ'liḥūn
26:153 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِینَ ۝١٥٣
Mohammad Shafi
They said: "Thou are but one of those bewitched!"
qālū innamā anta mina l-musaḥarīn
26:154 ›
مَاۤ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُنَا فَأۡتِ بِءَایَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝١٥٤
Mohammad Shafi
"You are nothing but a man like us! Bring a sign if what you say is true."
mā anta illā basharun mith'lunā fati biāyatin in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn
26:155 ›
قَالَ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةࣱ لَّهَا شِرۡبࣱ وَلَكُمۡ شِرۡبُ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝١٥٥
Mohammad Shafi
He said, "This she-camel shall have a share of the source of water, and you a share, at fixed period of time."
qāla hādhihi nāqatun lahā shir'bun walakum shir'bu yawmin maʿlūmi
26:156 ›
وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوۤءࣲ فَیَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ ۝١٥٦
Mohammad Shafi
"And do her no harm, lest punishment of a dreadful day befall you!"
walā tamassūhā bisūin fayakhudhakum ʿadhābu yawmin ʿaẓīmi
26:157 ›
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصۡبَحُوا۟ نَـٰدِمِینَ ۝١٥٧
Mohammad Shafi
And then they hamstrung her. And then they regretted
faʿaqarūhā fa-aṣbaḥū nādimīn
26:158 ›
فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٥٨
Mohammad Shafi
And then the punishment befell them. There is indeed in this a sign, and most of them believed not.h
fa-akhadhahumu l-ʿadhābu inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:159 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٥٩
Mohammad Shafi
And, indeed, your Lord — He alone — is the Omnipotent, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
9 History of Lot
26:160 ›
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٦٠
Mohammad Shafi
The [ancient] tribe of Lot did not believe the Messengers
kadhabat qawmu lūṭin l-mur'salīn
26:161 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٦١
Mohammad Shafi
When their brother Lot said to them, "Are you not scared of wrongful living?"
idh qāla lahum akhūhum lūṭun alā tattaqūn
26:162 ›
إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ۝١٦٢
Mohammad Shafi
"I am indeed a trustworthy Messenger of Allah sent to you!"
innī lakum rasūlun amīnu
26:163 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٦٣
Mohammad Shafi
"Be afraid of Allah then, and obey me!"
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:164 ›
وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٦٤
Mohammad Shafi
"And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Lord of the worlds."
wamā asalukum ʿalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illā ʿalā rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:165 ›
أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلذُّكۡرَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٦٥
Mohammad Shafi
"Do you, of all the creatures, indulge in homosexuality?"
atatūna l-dhuk'rāna mina l-ʿālamīn
26:166 ›
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ رَبُّكُم مِّنۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجِكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ عَادُونَ ۝١٦٦
Mohammad Shafi
And you shun the spouses whom your Lord has created for you? Nay, you are a transgressing people!"
watadharūna mā khalaqa lakum rabbukum min azwājikum bal antum qawmun ʿādūn
26:167 ›
قَالُوا۟ لَىِٕن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ یَـٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡرَجِینَ ۝١٦٧
Mohammad Shafi
They said, "Verily, O Lot, you will certainly be expelled if you desist not!"
qālū la-in lam tantahi yālūṭu latakūnanna mina l-mukh'rajīn
26:168 ›
قَالَ إِنِّی لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَالِینَ ۝١٦٨
Mohammad Shafi
Lot said, "I am indeed one of those who deplore your actions!"
qāla innī liʿamalikum mina l-qālīn
26:169 ›
رَبِّ نَجِّنِی وَأَهۡلِی مِمَّا یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٦٩
Mohammad Shafi
"My Lord! Save me and my family from all that they are doing!"
rabbi najjinī wa-ahlī mimmā yaʿmalūn
26:170 ›
فَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥۤ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝١٧٠
Mohammad Shafi
Thereupon We saved him and all his entire family
fanajjaynāhu wa-ahlahu ajmaʿīn
26:171 ›
إِلَّا عَجُوزࣰا فِی ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ ۝١٧١
Mohammad Shafi
Except for an old woman, who was among those left behind
illā ʿajūzan fī l-ghābirīn
26:172 ›
ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ۝١٧٢
Mohammad Shafi
And then We annihilated the others
thumma dammarnā l-ākharīn
26:173 ›
وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم مَّطَرࣰاۖ فَسَاۤءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِینَ ۝١٧٣
Mohammad Shafi
And We rained down upon them a rain. Dire then is such rain upon those warned
wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhim maṭaran fasāa maṭaru l-mundharīn
26:174 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٧٤
Mohammad Shafi
There is indeed in this a sign, and most of them believed not
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:175 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٧٥
Mohammad Shafi
And, indeed, your Lord — He alone — is the Omnipotent, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
10 History of Shu'aib
26:176 ›
كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ لۡءَیۡكَةِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٧٦
Mohammad Shafi
[The ancient] dwellers of the wood (Midian) did not believe the Messengers
kadhaba aṣḥābu al'aykati l-mur'salīn
26:177 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ شُعَیۡبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٧٧
Mohammad Shafi
When Shu'aib said to them: "Are you not scared of wrongful living?"
idh qāla lahum shuʿaybun alā tattaqūn
26:178 ›
إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ۝١٧٨
Mohammad Shafi
"I am indeed a trustworthy Messenger of Allah sent to you!"
innī lakum rasūlun amīnu
26:179 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٧٩
Mohammad Shafi
"Be afraid of Allah then, and obey me!"
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:180 ›
وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٨٠
Mohammad Shafi
"And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Lord of the worlds."
wamā asalukum ʿalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illā ʿalā rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:181 ›
۞ أَوۡفُوا۟ ٱلۡكَیۡلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡسِرِینَ ۝١٨١
Mohammad Shafi
"Give full measure, and be not among those who cause loss to others."
awfū l-kayla walā takūnū mina l-mukh'sirīn
26:182 ›
وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلۡقِسۡطَاسِ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِیمِ ۝١٨٢
Mohammad Shafi
"And weigh with a true balance."
wazinū bil-qis'ṭāsi l-mus'taqīm
26:183 ›
وَلَا تَبۡخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡیَاۤءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِینَ ۝١٨٣
Mohammad Shafi
"And defraud not people of their things. And make no mischief on earth, spreading corruption."
walā tabkhasū l-nāsa ashyāahum walā taʿthaw fī l-arḍi muf'sidīn
26:184 ›
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَكُمۡ وَٱلۡجِبِلَّةَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٨٤
Mohammad Shafi
"And have fear of Him who has created you, as also the generations past!"
wa-ittaqū alladhī khalaqakum wal-jibilata l-awalīn
26:185 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِینَ ۝١٨٥
Mohammad Shafi
They said, "You are but one bewitched."
qālū innamā anta mina l-musaḥarīn
26:186 ›
وَمَاۤ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰذِبِینَ ۝١٨٦
Mohammad Shafi
"And you are but a man like us! And we do think you are a liar!"
wamā anta illā basharun mith'lunā wa-in naẓunnuka lamina l-kādhibīn
26:187 ›
فَأَسۡقِطۡ عَلَیۡنَا كِسَفࣰا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝١٨٧
Mohammad Shafi
"Drop fragments of the sky upon us, then, if what you say is the truth!"
fa-asqiṭ ʿalaynā kisafan mina l-samāi in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn
26:188 ›
قَالَ رَبِّیۤ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٨٨
Mohammad Shafi
Shu'aib said, "My Lord knows what you do!"
qāla rabbī aʿlamu bimā taʿmalūn
26:189 ›
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمٍ ۝١٨٩
Mohammad Shafi
So they disbelieved him. And thereupon punishment gripped them on a gloomy day. And, verily, it was a punishment of a dreadful day
fakadhabūhu fa-akhadhahum ʿadhābu yawmi l-ẓulati innahu kāna ʿadhāba yawmin ʿaẓīmi
26:190 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٩٠
Mohammad Shafi
There is indeed in this a sign, and most of them believed not
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:191 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٩١
Mohammad Shafi
And, indeed, your Lord — He alone — is the Omnipotent, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
11 Prophet's Opponents warned
26:192 ›
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِیلُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٩٢
Mohammad Shafi
And, indeed, this [Qur'aan] has certainly been sent down by the Lord of the worlds
wa-innahu latanzīlu rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:193 ›
نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلۡأَمِینُ ۝١٩٣
Mohammad Shafi
The trustworthy Spirit (Angel Gabriel) came down with it
nazala bihi l-rūḥu l-amīn
26:194 ›
عَلَىٰ قَلۡبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِینَ ۝١٩٤
Mohammad Shafi
Upon your mind, [O Muhammad], so that you may be among those who warn
bilisānin ʿarabiyyin mubīni
26:195 ›
بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِیࣲّ مُّبِینࣲ ۝١٩٥
Mohammad Shafi
In the language of plain Arabic
Bilisanin AAarabiyyin mubeenin
26:196 ›
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِی زُبُرِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٩٦
Mohammad Shafi
And, indeed, it is mentioned in the ancient Scriptures
wa-innahu lafī zuburi l-awalīn
26:197 ›
أَوَ لَمۡ یَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَایَةً أَن یَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰۤؤُا۟ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝١٩٧
Mohammad Shafi
Is it not a sign for them that learned men from among the Children of Israel do know it
awalam yakun lahum āyatan an yaʿlamahu ʿulamāu banī is'rāīl
26:198 ›
وَلَوۡ نَزَّلۡنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضِ ٱلۡأَعۡجَمِینَ ۝١٩٨
Mohammad Shafi
And had We sent it down upon any non-Arab
walaw nazzalnāhu ʿalā baʿḍi l-aʿjamīn
26:199 ›
فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَیۡهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٩٩
Mohammad Shafi
And had he recited it to them in his own language, they would not have believed in it
faqara-ahu ʿalayhim mā kānū bihi mu'minīn
26:200 ›
كَذَ ٰلِكَ سَلَكۡنَـٰهُ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٢٠٠
Mohammad Shafi
We have likewise caused this Message to pass through the minds of those who are lost in sin
kadhālika salaknāhu fī qulūbi l-muj'rimīn
26:201 ›
لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ یَرَوُا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِیمَ ۝٢٠١
Mohammad Shafi
They will not believe in it (the Message) till they see the grievous punishment
lā yu'minūna bihi ḥattā yarawū l-ʿadhāba l-alīm
26:202 ›
فَیَأۡتِیَهُم بَغۡتَةࣰ وَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ ۝٢٠٢
Mohammad Shafi
That (punishment) will come upon them all of a sudden, without notice
fayatiyahum baghtatan wahum lā yashʿurūn
26:203 ›
فَیَقُولُوا۟ هَلۡ نَحۡنُ مُنظَرُونَ ۝٢٠٣
Mohammad Shafi
And then they will say, "Could we have some respite?"
fayaqūlū hal naḥnu munẓarūn
26:204 ›
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا یَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ ۝٢٠٤
Mohammad Shafi
Do they, then, wish to hasten Our punishment
afabiʿadhābinā yastaʿjilūn
26:205 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتَ إِن مَّتَّعۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِنِینَ ۝٢٠٥
Mohammad Shafi
Do you see that if We do allow them to enjoy for year
afara-ayta in mattaʿnāhum sinīn
26:206 ›
ثُمَّ جَاۤءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُوعَدُونَ ۝٢٠٦
Mohammad Shafi
And thereafter that which they were promised befalls the
thumma jāahum mā kānū yūʿadūn
26:207 ›
مَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُمَتَّعُونَ ۝٢٠٧
Mohammad Shafi
Of what avail to them will all their past enjoyments be
mā aghnā ʿanhum mā kānū yumattaʿūn
26:208 ›
وَمَاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡیَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ ۝٢٠٨
Mohammad Shafi
And never have We destroyed any community without being warne
wamā ahlaknā min qaryatin illā lahā mundhirūn
26:209 ›
ذِكۡرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِینَ ۝٢٠٩
Mohammad Shafi
And reminded. And We wrong not
dhik'rā wamā kunnā ẓālimīn
26:210 ›
وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتۡ بِهِ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینُ ۝٢١٠
Mohammad Shafi
And the devils had not brought it (the Message) down
wamā tanazzalat bihi l-shayāṭīn
26:211 ›
وَمَا یَنۢبَغِی لَهُمۡ وَمَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ ۝٢١١
Mohammad Shafi
And neither it is suitable to them, nor can they do it
wamā yanbaghī lahum wamā yastaṭīʿūn
26:212 ›
إِنَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّمۡعِ لَمَعۡزُولُونَ ۝٢١٢
Mohammad Shafi
They are indeed certainly debarred from hearing it
innahum ʿani l-samʿi lamaʿzūlūn
26:213 ›
فَلَا تَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُعَذَّبِینَ ۝٢١٣
Mohammad Shafi
Hence invoke no god other than Allah, lest you be among those ponished
falā tadʿu maʿa l-lahi ilāhan ākhara fatakūna mina l-muʿadhabīn
26:214 ›
وَأَنذِرۡ عَشِیرَتَكَ ٱلۡأَقۡرَبِینَ ۝٢١٤
Mohammad Shafi
And warn your close relative
wa-andhir ʿashīrataka l-aqrabīn
26:215 ›
وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٢١٥
Mohammad Shafi
And lower wings of your tenderness over (be kind to) all of the believers who may follow you
wa-ikh'fiḍ janāḥaka limani ittabaʿaka mina l-mu'minīn
26:216 ›
فَإِنۡ عَصَوۡكَ فَقُلۡ إِنِّی بَرِیۤءࣱ مِّمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٢١٦
Mohammad Shafi
If they then disobey you, say, "I am indeed free of responsibility for what you do!"
fa-in ʿaṣawka faqul innī barīon mimmā taʿmalūn
26:217 ›
وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ ۝٢١٧
Mohammad Shafi
And put your trust in the Omnipotent, the Merciful
watawakkal ʿalā l-ʿazīzi l-raḥīm
26:218 ›
ٱلَّذِی یَرَىٰكَ حِینَ تَقُومُ ۝٢١٨
Mohammad Shafi
Who sees you standin
alladhī yarāka ḥīna taqūm
26:219 ›
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِی ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ۝٢١٩
Mohammad Shafi
And Who sees what goes on in your mind while you are among those who prostrate before Him
wataqallubaka fī l-sājidīn
26:220 ›
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝٢٢٠
Mohammad Shafi
He is indeed the One Who hears, the One Who knows
innahu huwa l-samīʿu l-ʿalīm
26:221 ›
هَلۡ أُنَبِّئُكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینُ ۝٢٢١
Mohammad Shafi
Shall I tell you upon whom it is that the devils descend
hal unabbi-ukum ʿalā man tanazzalu l-shayāṭīn
26:222 ›
تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِیمࣲ ۝٢٢٢
Mohammad Shafi
They descend upon all sinful turncoats
tanazzalu ʿalā kulli affākin athīmi
26:223 ›
یُلۡقُونَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ كَـٰذِبُونَ ۝٢٢٣
Mohammad Shafi
They (the devils) pass on hearsays to them (sinful turncoats). And most of them (the devils) lie
yul'qūna l-samʿa wa-aktharuhum kādhibūn
26:224 ›
وَٱلشُّعَرَاۤءُ یَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ ۝٢٢٤
Mohammad Shafi
And the seducers follow the poets
wal-shuʿarāu yattabiʿuhumu l-ghāwūn
26:225 ›
أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّهُمۡ فِی كُلِّ وَادࣲ یَهِیمُونَ ۝٢٢٥

Do you not see that they (poets) roam about passionately in every valley
alam tara annahum fī kulli wādin yahīmūn
26:226 ›
وَأَنَّهُمۡ یَقُولُونَ مَا لَا یَفۡعَلُونَ ۝٢٢٦

And that they say what they do not do
wa-annahum yaqūlūna mā lā yafʿalūn
26:227 ›
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِیرࣰا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ۗ وَسَیَعۡلَمُ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوۤا۟ أَیَّ مُنقَلَبࣲ یَنقَلِبُونَ ۝٢٢٧

Save those who believe, do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much. And they avenge themselves only after having been wronged and to the extent they are wronged.And those who do wrong will soon come to know how evil a turn they will turn to
illā alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti wadhakarū l-laha kathīran wa-intaṣarū min baʿdi mā ẓulimū wasayaʿlamu alladhīna ẓalamū ayya munqalabin yanqalibūn
