26:1 ›
۞ طسۤمۤ ۝١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli

26:2 ›
تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِینِ ۝٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
These are verses of the Book (that makes the truth) clear
til'ka āyātu l-kitābi l-mubīn
26:3 ›
لَعَلَّكَ بَـٰخِعࣱ نَّفۡسَكَ أَلَّا یَكُونُوا۟ مُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief, for that they do not become Believers
laʿallaka bākhiʿun nafsaka allā yakūnū mu'minīn
26:4 ›
إِن نَّشَأۡ نُنَزِّلۡ عَلَیۡهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ ءَایَةࣰ فَظَلَّتۡ أَعۡنَـٰقُهُمۡ لَهَا خَـٰضِعِینَ ۝٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven to which they would bend their necks in humility
in nasha nunazzil ʿalayhim mina l-samāi āyatan faẓallat aʿnāquhum lahā khāḍiʿīn
26:5 ›
وَمَا یَأۡتِیهِم مِّن ذِكۡرࣲ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ مُحۡدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضِینَ ۝٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And never comes there to them a new reminder from the Beneficent (Allah), but they turn away from it
wamā yatīhim min dhik'rin mina l-raḥmāni muḥ'dathin illā kānū ʿanhu muʿ'riḍīn
26:6 ›
فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَیَأۡتِیهِمۡ أَنۢبَـٰۤؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So they have indeed rejected (it), therefore the news of that which they used to mock shall soon come to them
faqad kadhabū fasayatīhim anbāu mā kānū bihi yastahziūn
26:7 ›
أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَمۡ أَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجࣲ كَرِیمٍ ۝٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
7. Do they not look at the earth - how many of every noble kind We have caused to grow in it
awalam yaraw ilā l-arḍi kam anbatnā fīhā min kulli zawjin karīmi
26:8 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily in that there is a sign, but most of them do not believe
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:9 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily, your Lord certainly is He the Mighty, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
2 Moses called and sent to Pharaoh
26:10 ›
وَإِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنِ ٱئۡتِ ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝١٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
10. And when your Lord called out to Moses (saying): �Go to the unjust people
wa-idh nādā rabbuka mūsā ani i'ti l-qawma l-ẓālimīn
26:11 ›
قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ أَلَا یَتَّقُونَ ۝١١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
The people of pharaoh; will they not fear (Allah)?
qawma fir'ʿawna alā yattaqūn
26:12 ›
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ أَن یُكَذِّبُونِ ۝١٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Said (Moses): �O my Lord! Surely I fear that they will reject me?
qāla rabbi innī akhāfu an yukadhibūn
26:13 ›
وَیَضِیقُ صَدۡرِی وَلَا یَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِی فَأَرۡسِلۡ إِلَىٰ هَـٰرُونَ ۝١٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore sent for Aaron (to help me)
wayaḍīqu ṣadrī walā yanṭaliqu lisānī fa-arsil ilā hārūn
26:14 ›
وَلَهُمۡ عَلَیَّ ذَنۢبࣱ فَأَخَافُ أَن یَقۡتُلُونِ ۝١٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me
walahum ʿalayya dhanbun fa-akhāfu an yaqtulūn
26:15 ›
قَالَ كَلَّاۖ فَٱذۡهَبَا بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسۡتَمِعُونَ ۝١٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Said (Allah): 'By no means, so go you both with Our signs, surely We are with you, hearing'
qāla kallā fa-idh'habā biāyātinā innā maʿakum mus'tamiʿūn
26:16 ›
فَأۡتِیَا فِرۡعَوۡنَ فَقُولَاۤ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So go to Pharaoh and say: 'Verily we (two) are the Messengers of the Lord of the worlds
fatiyā fir'ʿawna faqūlā innā rasūlu rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:17 ›
أَنۡ أَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَا بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝١٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Send you with us the Children of Israel'
an arsil maʿanā banī is'rāīl
26:18 ›
قَالَ أَلَمۡ نُرَبِّكَ فِینَا وَلِیدࣰا وَلَبِثۡتَ فِینَا مِنۡ عُمُرِكَ سِنِینَ ۝١٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Said (Pharaoh): 'Did we not cherish you as a child among us, and you tarried among us for (many) years of your life
qāla alam nurabbika fīnā walīdan walabith'ta fīnā min ʿumurika sinīn
26:19 ›
وَفَعَلۡتَ فَعۡلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِی فَعَلۡتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ ۝١٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And you did that your deed which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful
wafaʿalta faʿlataka allatī faʿalta wa-anta mina l-kāfirīn
26:20 ›
قَالَ فَعَلۡتُهَاۤ إِذࣰا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ۝٢٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Said (Moses): 'I did it then, when I was (as you think) in error'
qāla faʿaltuhā idhan wa-anā mina l-ḍālīn
26:21 ›
فَفَرَرۡتُ مِنكُمۡ لَمَّا خِفۡتُكُمۡ فَوَهَبَ لِی رَبِّی حُكۡمࣰا وَجَعَلَنِی مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝٢١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me of the messenger
fafarartu minkum lammā khif'tukum fawahaba lī rabbī ḥuk'man wajaʿalanī mina l-mur'salīn
26:22 ›
وَتِلۡكَ نِعۡمَةࣱ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَیَّ أَنۡ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝٢٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And is it a favour with which you reproach me that you have enslaved the Children of Israel
watil'ka niʿ'matun tamunnuhā ʿalayya an ʿabbadtta banī is'rāīl
26:23 ›
قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٢٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the woilds?
qāla fir'ʿawnu wamā rabbu l-ʿālamīn
26:24 ›
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِینَ ۝٢٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
He said: '(He is) the Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you have faith'
qāla rabbu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wamā baynahumā in kuntum mūqinīn
26:25 ›
قَالَ لِمَنۡ حَوۡلَهُۥۤ أَلَا تَسۡتَمِعُونَ ۝٢٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Pharaoh said to those around him: 'Do you not hear (what he says)?
qāla liman ḥawlahu alā tastamiʿūn
26:26 ›
قَالَ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَاۤىِٕكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٢٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
(Moses) said: 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old'
qāla rabbukum warabbu ābāikumu l-awalīn
26:27 ›
قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِیۤ أُرۡسِلَ إِلَیۡكُمۡ لَمَجۡنُونࣱ ۝٢٧

qāla inna rasūlakumu alladhī ur'sila ilaykum lamajnūnu
26:28 ›
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٢٨

qāla rabbu l-mashriqi wal-maghribi wamā baynahumā in kuntum taʿqilūn
26:29 ›
قَالَ لَىِٕنِ ٱتَّخَذۡتَ إِلَـٰهًا غَیۡرِی لَأَجۡعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجُونِینَ ۝٢٩

qāla la-ini ittakhadhta ilāhan ghayrī la-ajʿalannaka mina l-masjūnīn
26:30 ›
قَالَ أَوَ لَوۡ جِئۡتُكَ بِشَیۡءࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٣٠

qāla awalaw ji'tuka bishayin mubīni
26:31 ›
قَالَ فَأۡتِ بِهِۦۤ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝٣١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
(Pharaoh) said: 'Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones'
qāla fati bihi in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn
26:32 ›
فَأَلۡقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِیَ ثُعۡبَانࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝٣٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So he cast down his rod, and behold, it was a clear serpent
fa-alqā ʿaṣāhu fa-idhā hiya thuʿ'bānun mubīnu
26:33 ›
وَنَزَعَ یَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِیَ بَیۡضَاۤءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِینَ ۝٣٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And he drew out his hand, then behold, it was radiant white to the beholders
wanazaʿa yadahu fa-idhā hiya bayḍāu lilnnāẓirīn
3 Moses and Enchanters
26:34 ›
قَالَ لِلۡمَلَإِ حَوۡلَهُۥۤ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِیمࣱ ۝٣٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
(Pharaoh) said to the chiefs around him: �Verily this is a skilled sorcerer
qāla lil'mala-i ḥawlahu inna hādhā lasāḥirun ʿalīmu
26:35 ›
یُرِیدُ أَن یُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُم بِسِحۡرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأۡمُرُونَ ۝٣٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Who intends to drive you out of your land with his sorcery, what do you command?
yurīdu an yukh'rijakum min arḍikum bisiḥ'rihi famādhā tamurūn
26:36 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبۡعَثۡ فِی ٱلۡمَدَاۤىِٕنِ حَـٰشِرِینَ ۝٣٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'Give him (Moses) and his brother respite, and send heralds into the cities to collect'
qālū arjih wa-akhāhu wa-ib'ʿath fī l-madāini ḥāshirīn
26:37 ›
یَأۡتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِیمࣲ ۝٣٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
(That) they bring to you all skilful sorcerers
yatūka bikulli saḥḥārin ʿalīmi
26:38 ›
فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِیقَـٰتِ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝٣٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So the sorcerers were got together for the appointment of a day well-known
fajumiʿa l-saḥaratu limīqāti yawmin maʿlūmi
26:39 ›
وَقِیلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلۡ أَنتُم مُّجۡتَمِعُونَ ۝٣٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And it was said to the people: 'Will you assemble?
waqīla lilnnāsi hal antum muj'tamiʿūn
26:40 ›
لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبِینَ ۝٤٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Haply we may follow the sorcerers if they are victors
laʿallanā nattabiʿu l-saḥarata in kānū humu l-ghālibīn
26:41 ›
فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ أَىِٕنَّ لَنَا لَأَجۡرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبِینَ ۝٤١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then, when the sorcerers came, they said to Pharaoh: 'Shall we have a reward if we should be the victors?
falammā jāa l-saḥaratu qālū lifir'ʿawna a-inna lanā la-ajran in kunnā naḥnu l-ghālibīn
26:42 ›
قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَإِنَّكُمۡ إِذࣰا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِینَ ۝٤٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
(Pharaoh) said: 'Yes, and surely you will then be among the near-stationed'
qāla naʿam wa-innakum idhan lamina l-muqarabīn
26:43 ›
قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰۤ أَلۡقُوا۟ مَاۤ أَنتُم مُّلۡقُونَ ۝٤٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Moses said to them: 'Cast what you are going to Cast'
qāla lahum mūsā alqū mā antum mul'qūn
26:44 ›
فَأَلۡقَوۡا۟ حِبَالَهُمۡ وَعِصِیَّهُمۡ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَـٰلِبُونَ ۝٤٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So they cast down their ropes and their rods, and said: 'By Pharaoh's dignity we shall certainly be the victors'
fa-alqaw ḥibālahum waʿiṣiyyahum waqālū biʿizzati fir'ʿawna innā lanaḥnu l-ghālibūn
26:45 ›
فَأَلۡقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِیَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا یَأۡفِكُونَ ۝٤٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then Moses cast down his rod, when, behold, it swallowed up that which they falsely displayed
fa-alqā mūsā ʿaṣāhu fa-idhā hiya talqafu mā yafikūn
26:46 ›
فَأُلۡقِیَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَـٰجِدِینَ ۝٤٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then the sorcerers were flung prostrate
fa-ul'qiya l-saḥaratu sājidīn
26:47 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٤٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'We believe in the Lord of the worlds'
qālū āmannā birabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:48 ›
رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ۝٤٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
The Lord of Moses and Aaron'
rabbi mūsā wahārūn
26:49 ›
قَالَ ءَامَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِیرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِی عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحۡرَ فَلَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَیۡدِیَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَـٰفࣲ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٤٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
(Pharaoh) said: 'You have believed in him before I give you leave. Verily,he is the chief of you who taught you the sorcery; so, soon shall you know! Certainly I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and certainly I will crucify you all'
qāla āmantum lahu qabla an ādhana lakum innahu lakabīrukumu alladhī ʿallamakumu l-siḥ'ra falasawfa taʿlamūna la-uqaṭṭiʿanna aydiyakum wa-arjulakum min khilāfin wala-uṣallibannakum ajmaʿīn
26:50 ›
قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَیۡرَۖ إِنَّاۤ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ ۝٥٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'No matter! Verily we unto our Lord shall Return'
qālū lā ḍayra innā ilā rabbinā munqalibūn
26:51 ›
إِنَّا نَطۡمَعُ أَن یَغۡفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَـٰیَـٰنَاۤ أَن كُنَّاۤ أَوَّلَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٥١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily we hope that our Lord will forgive us our faults, since we are the first of the believers'
innā naṭmaʿu an yaghfira lanā rabbunā khaṭāyānā an kunnā awwala l-mu'minīn
4 Moses delivered, Pharaoh drowned
26:52 ›
۞ وَأَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنۡ أَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِیۤ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ۝٥٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And We revealed unto Moses (saying): �Go you forth with My servants by night, for verily you will be pursued�
wa-awḥaynā ilā mūsā an asri biʿibādī innakum muttabaʿūn
26:53 ›
فَأَرۡسَلَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ فِی ٱلۡمَدَاۤىِٕنِ حَـٰشِرِینَ ۝٥٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then Pharaoh sent heralds into the cites
fa-arsala fir'ʿawnu fī l-madāini ḥāshirīn
26:54 ›
إِنَّ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ لَشِرۡذِمَةࣱ قَلِیلُونَ ۝٥٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily these (Israelites) are only a small group
inna hāulāi lashir'dhimatun qalīlūn
26:55 ›
وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَنَا لَغَاۤىِٕظُونَ ۝٥٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily they have enraged us
wa-innahum lanā laghāiẓūn
26:56 ›
وَإِنَّا لَجَمِیعٌ حَـٰذِرُونَ ۝٥٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily we are a host on our guard
wa-innā lajamīʿun ḥādhirūn
26:57 ›
فَأَخۡرَجۡنَـٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونࣲ ۝٥٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So We expelled them from the gardens and the springs
fa-akhrajnāhum min jannātin waʿuyūni
26:58 ›
وَكُنُوزࣲ وَمَقَامࣲ كَرِیمࣲ ۝٥٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And treasures and a goodly dwelling
wakunūzin wamaqāmin karīmi
26:59 ›
كَذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَـٰهَا بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝٥٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Thus (did We drown them) and We made the Children of Israel the inheritors to them
kadhālika wa-awrathnāhā banī is'rāīl
26:60 ›
فَأَتۡبَعُوهُم مُّشۡرِقِینَ ۝٦٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then they (Pharaoh's host) pursued them at sunrise
fa-atbaʿūhum mush'riqīn
26:61 ›
فَلَمَّا تَرَ ٰۤءَا ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ قَالَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ مُوسَىٰۤ إِنَّا لَمُدۡرَكُونَ ۝٦١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Moses said: 'Indeed we are overtaken'
falammā tarāā l-jamʿāni qāla aṣḥābu mūsā innā lamud'rakūn
26:62 ›
قَالَ كَلَّاۤۖ إِنَّ مَعِیَ رَبِّی سَیَهۡدِینِ ۝٦٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
(Moses) said: ' By no means! Verily my Lord is with me, soon will He gtiide me (to safety)'
qāla kallā inna maʿiya rabbī sayahdīn
26:63 ›
فَأَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنِ ٱضۡرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرۡقࣲ كَٱلطَّوۡدِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٦٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then We revealed to Moses: 'Strike the sea with your staff', then it clove asunder and each part became like a huge mountain
fa-awḥaynā ilā mūsā ani iḍ'rib biʿaṣāka l-baḥra fa-infalaqa fakāna kullu fir'qin kal-ṭawdi l-ʿaẓīm
26:64 ›
وَأَزۡلَفۡنَا ثَمَّ ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ۝٦٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then We made the other party approach thither
wa-azlafnā thamma l-ākharīn
26:65 ›
وَأَنجَیۡنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥۤ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٦٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And We saved Moses and those with him all together
wa-anjaynā mūsā waman maʿahu ajmaʿīn
26:66 ›
ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ۝٦٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then We drownedthe others
thumma aghraqnā l-ākharīn
26:67 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٦٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily in this is a sign, yet most of them do not believe
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn

26:68 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝٦٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily your Lord, certainly He is the Mighty, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
26:69 ›
وَٱتۡلُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ۝٦٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And recite unto them the story of Abraham
wa-ut'lu ʿalayhim naba-a ib'rāhīm
26:70 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِیهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ ۝٧٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
When he said to his father and his people: �What do you worship?
idh qāla li-abīhi waqawmihi mā taʿbudūn
26:71 ›
قَالُوا۟ نَعۡبُدُ أَصۡنَامࣰا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِینَ ۝٧١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: �We worship idols, and we are ever devoted unto them�
qālū naʿbudu aṣnāman fanaẓallu lahā ʿākifīn
26:72 ›
قَالَ هَلۡ یَسۡمَعُونَكُمۡ إِذۡ تَدۡعُونَ ۝٧٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Said (Abraham): 'Do they hear you when you call (them)?
qāla hal yasmaʿūnakum idh tadʿūn
26:73 ›
أَوۡ یَنفَعُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ یَضُرُّونَ ۝٧٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Or do they profit you, or harm
aw yanfaʿūnakum aw yaḍurrūn
26:74 ›
قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ وَجَدۡنَاۤ ءَابَاۤءَنَا كَذَ ٰلِكَ یَفۡعَلُونَ ۝٧٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'Nay, but we found our fathers so doing'
qālū bal wajadnā ābāanā kadhālika yafʿalūn
26:75 ›
قَالَ أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ ۝٧٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
He said: 'Have you then considered what you have been worshipping
qāla afara-aytum mā kuntum taʿbudūn
26:76 ›
أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَاۤؤُكُمُ ٱلۡأَقۡدَمُونَ ۝٧٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
You and your fathers before you?
antum waābāukumu l-aqdamūn
26:77 ›
فَإِنَّهُمۡ عَدُوࣱّ لِّیۤ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٧٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Surely they are enemies to me, save the Lord of the Worlds
fa-innahum ʿaduwwun lī illā rabba l-ʿālamīn
26:78 ›
ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَنِی فَهُوَ یَهۡدِینِ ۝٧٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Who created me, and Himself guides me
alladhī khalaqanī fahuwa yahdīn
26:79 ›
وَٱلَّذِی هُوَ یُطۡعِمُنِی وَیَسۡقِینِ ۝٧٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And Himself feeds me and provides me to drink
wa-alladhī huwa yuṭ'ʿimunī wayasqīn
26:80 ›
وَإِذَا مَرِضۡتُ فَهُوَ یَشۡفِینِ ۝٨٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And whenever I am sick, then He heals me
wa-idhā mariḍ'tu fahuwa yashfīn
26:81 ›
وَٱلَّذِی یُمِیتُنِی ثُمَّ یُحۡیِینِ ۝٨١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And Who caused me to die, then gives me life
wa-alladhī yumītunī thumma yuḥ'yīn
26:82 ›
وَٱلَّذِیۤ أَطۡمَعُ أَن یَغۡفِرَ لِی خَطِیۤءَتِی یَوۡمَ ٱلدِّینِ ۝٨٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And Who, I hope, will forgive me my mistakes on the Day of Judgment
wa-alladhī aṭmaʿu an yaghfira lī khaṭīatī yawma l-dīn
26:83 ›
رَبِّ هَبۡ لِی حُكۡمࣰا وَأَلۡحِقۡنِی بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ۝٨٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
My Lord! Bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous
rabbi hab lī ḥuk'man wa-alḥiq'nī bil-ṣāliḥīn
26:84 ›
وَٱجۡعَل لِّی لِسَانَ صِدۡقࣲ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝٨٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity
wa-ij'ʿal lī lisāna ṣid'qin fī l-ākhirīn
26:85 ›
وَٱجۡعَلۡنِی مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ۝٨٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And make me of the heirs of the garden of bliss
wa-ij'ʿalnī min warathati jannati l-naʿīm
26:86 ›
وَٱغۡفِرۡ لِأَبِیۤ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ۝٨٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And forgive my father, verily, he is of those astray
wa-igh'fir li-abī innahu kāna mina l-ḍālīn
26:87 ›
وَلَا تُخۡزِنِی یَوۡمَ یُبۡعَثُونَ ۝٨٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And abase me not on the Day when (men) will be raised up
walā tukh'zinī yawma yub'ʿathūn
26:88 ›
یَوۡمَ لَا یَنفَعُ مَالࣱ وَلَا بَنُونَ ۝٨٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail
yawma lā yanfaʿu mālun walā banūn
26:89 ›
إِلَّا مَنۡ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلۡبࣲ سَلِیمࣲ ۝٨٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Except for him who comes to Allah with a pure heart
illā man atā l-laha biqalbin salīmi
26:90 ›
وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ ۝٩٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And the Paradise shall be brought near for the pious
wa-uz'lifati l-janatu lil'muttaqīn
26:91 ›
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِیمُ لِلۡغَاوِینَ ۝٩١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And the Hell shall appear plainly to the erring ones
waburrizati l-jaḥīmu lil'ghāwīn
26:92 ›
وَقِیلَ لَهُمۡ أَیۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ ۝٩٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And it shall be said to them: 'Where are those that you used to worship
waqīla lahum ayna mā kuntum taʿbudūn
26:93 ›
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلۡ یَنصُرُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ یَنتَصِرُونَ ۝٩٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Besides Allah? Do they help you or help themselves?
min dūni l-lahi hal yanṣurūnakum aw yantaṣirūn
26:94 ›
فَكُبۡكِبُوا۟ فِیهَا هُمۡ وَٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ ۝٩٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So they shall be thrown into it, - they and the erring ones
fakub'kibū fīhā hum wal-ghāwūn
26:95 ›
وَجُنُودُ إِبۡلِیسَ أَجۡمَعُونَ ۝٩٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And the hosts of 'Iblis, all together
wajunūdu ib'līsa ajmaʿūn
26:96 ›
قَالُوا۟ وَهُمۡ فِیهَا یَخۡتَصِمُونَ ۝٩٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And they will say, when they are mutually quarrelling therein
qālū wahum fīhā yakhtaṣimūn
26:97 ›
تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینٍ ۝٩٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
By Allah! We were certainly in manifest error
tal-lahi in kunnā lafī ḍalālin mubīni
26:98 ›
إِذۡ نُسَوِّیكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٩٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds
idh nusawwīkum birabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:99 ›
وَمَاۤ أَضَلَّنَاۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ ۝٩٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And none but the guilty ones led us astray
wamā aḍallanā illā l-muj'rimūn
26:100 ›
فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَـٰفِعِینَ ۝١٠٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Now, then we have no intercessors
famā lanā min shāfiʿīn
26:101 ›
وَلَا صَدِیقٍ حَمِیمࣲ ۝١٠١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Nor a single intimate friend
walā ṣadīqin ḥamīmi
26:102 ›
فَلَوۡ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةࣰ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٠٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Now if we only had a chance of return, we would be of the believers
falaw anna lanā karratan fanakūna mina l-mu'minīn
26:103 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٠٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily in this is a sign but most of them do not believe
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:104 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٠٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily your Lord is He the Mighty, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
26:105 ›
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٠٥

وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٠٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And do not ask you any recompense for it, my recompense is only from the Lord of the worlds
wamā asalukum ʿalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illā ʿalā rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:110 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١١٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then be in awe of Allah and obey me
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:111 ›
۞ قَالُوۤا۟ أَنُؤۡمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلۡأَرۡذَلُونَ ۝١١١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you?
qālū anu'minu laka wa-ittabaʿaka l-ardhalūn
26:112 ›
قَالَ وَمَا عِلۡمِی بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١١٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
He said: 'No knowledge have I of what they were doing
qāla wamā ʿil'mī bimā kānū yaʿmalūn
26:113 ›
إِنۡ حِسَابُهُمۡ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّیۖ لَوۡ تَشۡعُرُونَ ۝١١٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Their reckoning is only on my Lord, if you could (but) perceive
in ḥisābuhum illā ʿalā rabbī law tashʿurūn
26:114 ›
وَمَاۤ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١١٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And I am not going to drive away the believers
wamā anā biṭāridi l-mu'minīn
26:115 ›
إِنۡ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِیرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝١١٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
I am naught but a plain warner
in anā illā nadhīrun mubīnu
26:116 ›
قَالُوا۟ لَىِٕن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ یَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَرۡجُومِینَ ۝١١٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'If you desist not, O Noah! you shall surely be one of the stoned (to death)'
qālū la-in lam tantahi yānūḥu latakūnanna mina l-marjūmīn
26:117 ›
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوۡمِی كَذَّبُونِ ۝١١٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Said (Noah): 'My Lord! Verily my people have belied me
qāla rabbi inna qawmī kadhabūn
26:118 ›
فَٱفۡتَحۡ بَیۡنِی وَبَیۡنَهُمۡ فَتۡحࣰا وَنَجِّنِی وَمَن مَّعِیَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١١٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Judge You, then, between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me'
fa-if'taḥ baynī wabaynahum fatḥan wanajjinī waman maʿiya mina l-mu'minīn
26:119 ›
فَأَنجَیۡنَـٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِی ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ ۝١١٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden Ark
fa-anjaynāhu waman maʿahu fī l-ful'ki l-mashḥūn
26:120 ›
ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا بَعۡدُ ٱلۡبَاقِینَ ۝١٢٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then We drowned the rest afterwards
thumma aghraqnā baʿdu l-bāqīn
26:121 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٢١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily in that is a sign, but most of them do not believe
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn

26:122 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٢٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily your Lord, He is the Mighty, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
26:123 ›
كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٌ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٢٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
The �?d (people) belied the messengers
kadhabat ʿādun l-mur'salīn
26:124 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٢٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
When their brother Hud said to them: �Will you not fear (Allah)
idh qāla lahum akhūhum hūdun alā tattaqūn
26:125 ›
إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ۝١٢٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily I am unto you a trustworthy messenger
innī lakum rasūlun amīnu
26:126 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٢٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then be in awe of Allah and obey me
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:127 ›
وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٢٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And I do not ask you any recompense for it, my recompense is only from the Lord of the worlds
wamā asalukum ʿalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illā ʿalā rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:128 ›
أَتَبۡنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِیعٍ ءَایَةࣰ تَعۡبَثُونَ ۝١٢٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Do you build a landmark on every height for vain delight
atabnūna bikulli rīʿin āyatan taʿbathūn
26:129 ›
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَخۡلُدُونَ ۝١٢٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And you get strong buildings in the hope of living therein for ever
watattakhidhūna maṣāniʿa laʿallakum takhludūn
26:130 ›
وَإِذَا بَطَشۡتُم بَطَشۡتُمۡ جَبَّارِینَ ۝١٣٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
When you assault, you assault like tyrants
wa-idhā baṭashtum baṭashtum jabbārīn
26:131 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٣١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then be in awe of Allah and obey me
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:132 ›
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝١٣٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And be in awe of Him Who has succoured you with what you know
wa-ittaqū alladhī amaddakum bimā taʿlamūn
26:133 ›
أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنۡعَـٰمࣲ وَبَنِینَ ۝١٣٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
He has succoured you with cattle and Children
amaddakum bi-anʿāmin wabanīn
26:134 ›
وَجَنَّـٰتࣲ وَعُیُونٍ ۝١٣٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And gardens and springs
wajannātin waʿuyūni
26:135 ›
إِنِّیۤ أَخَافُ عَلَیۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ ۝١٣٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily I fear for you the chastisement of a Great Day
innī akhāfu ʿalaykum ʿadhāba yawmin ʿaẓīmi
26:136 ›
قَالُوا۟ سَوَاۤءٌ عَلَیۡنَاۤ أَوَعَظۡتَ أَمۡ لَمۡ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡوَ ٰعِظِینَ ۝١٣٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'It is the same to us whether you admonish or be not of the admonishers
qālū sawāon ʿalaynā awaʿaẓta am lam takun mina l-wāʿiẓīn
26:137 ›
إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٣٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
This (preaching) is naught but a custom of the ancients
in hādhā illā khuluqu l-awalīn
26:138 ›
وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِینَ ۝١٣٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And we are not going to be punished
wamā naḥnu bimuʿadhabīn
26:139 ›
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهۡلَكۡنَـٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٣٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So they belied him, then We destroyed them; verily in this is a sign; but most of them do not believe
fakadhabūhu fa-ahlaknāhum inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:140 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٤٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily your Lord, certainly He is the Mighty,the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm

كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٤١

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ صَـٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٤٢

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٥٠

26:151 ›
وَلَا تُطِیعُوۤا۟ أَمۡرَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِینَ ۝١٥١

And do not obey the bidding of the extravagant
walā tuṭīʿū amra l-mus'rifīn
26:152 ›
ٱلَّذِینَ یُفۡسِدُونَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا یُصۡلِحُونَ ۝١٥٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Those who make mischief in the earth, and amend not
alladhīna yuf'sidūna fī l-arḍi walā yuṣ'liḥūn
26:153 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِینَ ۝١٥٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'You are only of the bewitched ones'
qālū innamā anta mina l-musaḥarīn
26:154 ›
مَاۤ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُنَا فَأۡتِ بِءَایَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝١٥٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
You are no more than a mortal, like us, so bring you a sign if you are one of the truthful
mā anta illā basharun mith'lunā fati biāyatin in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn
26:155 ›
قَالَ هَـٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةࣱ لَّهَا شِرۡبࣱ وَلَكُمۡ شِرۡبُ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝١٥٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
He said: 'Here is a she-camel; she shall have her portion of water (one day), and you have your portion of water on an appointed day'
qāla hādhihi nāqatun lahā shir'bun walakum shir'bu yawmin maʿlūmi
26:156 ›
وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوۤءࣲ فَیَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمࣲ ۝١٥٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And do not touch her with evil, least the punishment of a grievous day should overtake you
walā tamassūhā bisūin fayakhudhakum ʿadhābu yawmin ʿaẓīmi
26:157 ›
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصۡبَحُوا۟ نَـٰدِمِینَ ۝١٥٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then they hamstrung her, and became regretful
faʿaqarūhā fa-aṣbaḥū nādimīn
26:158 ›
فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٥٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So the punishment overtook them; verily in this there is sign, but most of them do not believe
fa-akhadhahumu l-ʿadhābu inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:159 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٥٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily your Lord, He is certainly the Mighty,the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
9 History of Lot
26:160 ›
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٦٠

Of all the creatures in the world, do you come to the males
atatūna l-dhuk'rāna mina l-ʿālamīn
26:166 ›
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ رَبُّكُم مِّنۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجِكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ عَادُونَ ۝١٦٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people transgressing (the limits
watadharūna mā khalaqa lakum rabbukum min azwājikum bal antum qawmun ʿādūn
26:167 ›
قَالُوا۟ لَىِٕن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ یَـٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡرَجِینَ ۝١٦٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'If you desist not, O L?t! you shall surely be of those who are expelled'
qālū la-in lam tantahi yālūṭu latakūnanna mina l-mukh'rajīn
26:168 ›
قَالَ إِنِّی لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَالِینَ ۝١٦٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
He said: 'I do detest your doings'
qāla innī liʿamalikum mina l-qālīn
26:169 ›
رَبِّ نَجِّنِی وَأَهۡلِی مِمَّا یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٦٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
My Lord! deliver me and my family from (the vice of) what they do
rabbi najjinī wa-ahlī mimmā yaʿmalūn
26:170 ›
فَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥۤ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝١٧٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So, We did deliver him and his family all
fanajjaynāhu wa-ahlahu ajmaʿīn
26:171 ›
إِلَّا عَجُوزࣰا فِی ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ ۝١٧١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Except an old woman who remained behind
illā ʿajūzan fī l-ghābirīn
26:172 ›
ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ۝١٧٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then We destroyed the others
thumma dammarnā l-ākharīn
26:173 ›
وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم مَّطَرࣰاۖ فَسَاۤءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِینَ ۝١٧٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone),and evil is the rain of them that were warned
wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhim maṭaran fasāa maṭaru l-mundharīn
26:174 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٧٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily in this is a sign, but most of them do not believe
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:175 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٧٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily your Lord, certainly He is the Mighty, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
10 History of Shu'aib
26:176 ›
كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ لۡءَیۡكَةِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٧٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
The dwellers of the Forest belied the messengers
kadhaba aṣḥābu al'aykati l-mur'salīn
26:177 ›
إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ شُعَیۡبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٧٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
When Shu�ayb said to them: �Will you not fear (Allah)
idh qāla lahum shuʿaybun alā tattaqūn
26:178 ›
إِنِّی لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِینࣱ ۝١٧٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily I am unto you a trustworthy messenger
innī lakum rasūlun amīnu
26:179 ›
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِیعُونِ ۝١٧٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then be in awe of Allah and obey me
fa-ittaqū l-laha wa-aṭīʿūn
26:180 ›
وَمَاۤ أَسۡءَلُكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِیَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٨٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And I do not ask you any recompense for it, myrecompense is only from the Lord of the worlds
wamā asalukum ʿalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illā ʿalā rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:181 ›
۞ أَوۡفُوا۟ ٱلۡكَیۡلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡسِرِینَ ۝١٨١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Fill up the measure, and be not of the cheaters
awfū l-kayla walā takūnū mina l-mukh'sirīn
26:182 ›
وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلۡقِسۡطَاسِ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِیمِ ۝١٨٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And weigh (things) with a right balance
wazinū bil-qis'ṭāsi l-mus'taqīm
26:183 ›
وَلَا تَبۡخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡیَاۤءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِینَ ۝١٨٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And do not defraud people in their (due) goods, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief
walā tabkhasū l-nāsa ashyāahum walā taʿthaw fī l-arḍi muf'sidīn
26:184 ›
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَكُمۡ وَٱلۡجِبِلَّةَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٨٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And fear Him Who created you and the former generations
wa-ittaqū alladhī khalaqakum wal-jibilata l-awalīn
26:185 ›
قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِینَ ۝١٨٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
They said: 'Verily you are only of those bewitched'
qālū innamā anta mina l-musaḥarīn
26:186 ›
وَمَاۤ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰذِبِینَ ۝١٨٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And you are naught but a mortal like us; and we think that you are of the liars
wamā anta illā basharun mith'lunā wa-in naẓunnuka lamina l-kādhibīn
26:187 ›
فَأَسۡقِطۡ عَلَیۡنَا كِسَفࣰا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝١٨٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Therefore cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if you are one of the truthful
fa-asqiṭ ʿalaynā kisafan mina l-samāi in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn
26:188 ›
قَالَ رَبِّیۤ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٨٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
He (Shu'ayb) said: 'My Lord knows best what you do'
qāla rabbī aʿlamu bimā taʿmalūn
26:189 ›
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمٍ ۝١٨٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
But they belied him, then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow. Verily it was a chastisement of a grievous day
fakadhabūhu fa-akhadhahum ʿadhābu yawmi l-ẓulati innahu kāna ʿadhāba yawmin ʿaẓīmi
26:190 ›
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٩٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
26:191 ›
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٩١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily your Lord, certainly He is the Mighty, the Merciful
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
11 Prophet's Opponents warned
26:192 ›
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِیلُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٩٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily this (Qur�?n) is from the Lord of the Worlds
wa-innahu latanzīlu rabbi l-ʿālamīn
26:193 ›
نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلۡأَمِینُ ۝١٩٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
The Faithful Spirit has descended with it
nazala bihi l-rūḥu l-amīn
26:194 ›
عَلَىٰ قَلۡبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِینَ ۝١٩٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Upon your heart that you may be of the warners
bilisānin ʿarabiyyin mubīni
26:195 ›
بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِیࣲّ مُّبِینࣲ ۝١٩٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
In the perspicuous Arabic language
Bilisanin AAarabiyyin mubeenin
26:196 ›
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِی زُبُرِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٩٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And verily it is (foretold) in the (heavenly) Books of the ancients
wa-innahu lafī zuburi l-awalīn
26:197 ›
أَوَ لَمۡ یَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَایَةً أَن یَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰۤؤُا۟ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝١٩٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Is it not a sign to them that the learned of the Children of Israel know it (as true)
awalam yakun lahum āyatan an yaʿlamahu ʿulamāu banī is'rāīl
26:198 ›
وَلَوۡ نَزَّلۡنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضِ ٱلۡأَعۡجَمِینَ ۝١٩٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And if We had sent it down to any of the non-Arabs
walaw nazzalnāhu ʿalā baʿḍi l-aʿjamīn
26:199 ›
فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَیۡهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٩٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it
faqara-ahu ʿalayhim mā kānū bihi mu'minīn
26:200 ›
كَذَ ٰلِكَ سَلَكۡنَـٰهُ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٢٠٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Thus We caused it passing into the hearts of the sinners
kadhālika salaknāhu fī qulūbi l-muj'rimīn
26:201 ›
لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ یَرَوُا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِیمَ ۝٢٠١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
(But) they will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment
lā yu'minūna bihi ḥattā yarawū l-ʿadhāba l-alīm
26:202 ›
فَیَأۡتِیَهُم بَغۡتَةࣰ وَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ ۝٢٠٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And it shall come upon them all of a sudden, while they are not aware
fayatiyahum baghtatan wahum lā yashʿurūn
26:203 ›
فَیَقُولُوا۟ هَلۡ نَحۡنُ مُنظَرُونَ ۝٢٠٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then they will say: 'Shall we be respited?
fayaqūlū hal naḥnu munẓarūn
26:204 ›
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا یَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ ۝٢٠٤
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Do they then ask for Our Chastisement to be hastened on
afabiʿadhābinā yastaʿjilūn
26:205 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتَ إِن مَّتَّعۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِنِینَ ۝٢٠٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years
afara-ayta in mattaʿnāhum sinīn
26:206 ›
ثُمَّ جَاۤءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُوعَدُونَ ۝٢٠٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Then there comes to them that (punishment) which they were promised
thumma jāahum mā kānū yūʿadūn
26:207 ›
مَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُمَتَّعُونَ ۝٢٠٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them
mā aghnā ʿanhum mā kānū yumattaʿūn
26:208 ›
وَمَاۤ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡیَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ ۝٢٠٨
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And We did not destroy any town but it had its warners
wamā ahlaknā min qaryatin illā lahā mundhirūn
26:209 ›
ذِكۡرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِینَ ۝٢٠٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
To remind (them) and never are We unjust
dhik'rā wamā kunnā ẓālimīn
26:210 ›
وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتۡ بِهِ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینُ ۝٢١٠
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And the Satans have not bring it down
wamā tanazzalat bihi l-shayāṭīn
26:211 ›
وَمَا یَنۢبَغِی لَهُمۡ وَمَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ ۝٢١١
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And it behooves them not, nor they can do (it)
wamā yanbaghī lahum wamā yastaṭīʿūn
26:212 ›
إِنَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّمۡعِ لَمَعۡزُولُونَ ۝٢١٢
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Verily they are banished from hearing it
innahum ʿani l-samʿi lamaʿzūlūn
26:213 ›
فَلَا تَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُعَذَّبِینَ ۝٢١٣
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
So call you not upon another god with Allah, lest you will be one of the chastised (ones)
falā tadʿu maʿa l-lahi ilāhan ākhara fatakūna mina l-muʿadhabīn
26:214 ›
وَأَنذِرۡ عَشِیرَتَكَ ٱلۡأَقۡرَبِینَ ۝٢١٤

He Who sees you when you stand up (in prayer)
alladhī yarāka ḥīna taqūm
26:219 ›
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِی ٱلسَّـٰجِدِینَ ۝٢١٩
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And your movements among those who prostrate themselves
wataqallubaka fī l-sājidīn
26:220 ›
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝٢٢٠

Verily He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing
innahu huwa l-samīʿu l-ʿalīm
26:221 ›
هَلۡ أُنَبِّئُكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّیَـٰطِینُ ۝٢٢١

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِیمࣲ ۝٢٢٢

یُلۡقُونَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ كَـٰذِبُونَ ۝٢٢٣

26:224 ›
وَٱلشُّعَرَاۤءُ یَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ ۝٢٢٤

And the poets, follow them the erring ones
wal-shuʿarāu yattabiʿuhumu l-ghāwūn
26:225 ›
أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّهُمۡ فِی كُلِّ وَادࣲ یَهِیمُونَ ۝٢٢٥
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Do you not see that they wander about be wildered in every valley
alam tara annahum fī kulli wādin yahīmūn
26:226 ›
وَأَنَّهُمۡ یَقُولُونَ مَا لَا یَفۡعَلُونَ ۝٢٢٦
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
And that they say that which they do not do
wa-annahum yaqūlūna mā lā yafʿalūn
26:227 ›
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِیرࣰا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ۗ وَسَیَعۡلَمُ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوۤا۟ أَیَّ مُنقَلَبࣲ یَنقَلِبُونَ ۝٢٢٧
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli
Except those who believe and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after being wronged; and soon those who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back
illā alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti wadhakarū l-laha kathīran wa-intaṣarū min baʿdi mā ẓulimū wasayaʿlamu alladhīna ẓalamū ayya munqalabin yanqalibūn
