1 Three Classes of Men
56:1 ›
۞ إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ ۝١
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
When The Inevitable came to pass,
idhā waqaʿati l-wāqiʿat
56:2 ›
لَیۡسَ لِوَقۡعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ۝٢
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
its descent is not like that which lies.
laysa liwaqʿatihā kādhibatu
56:3 ›
خَافِضَةࣱ رَّافِعَةٌ ۝٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
It will be one that abases, one that exalts.
khāfiḍatun rāfiʿatu
56:4 ›
إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ رَجࣰّا ۝٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
When the earth will rock with a rocking
idhā rujjati l-arḍu rajja
56:5 ›
وَبُسَّتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ بَسࣰّا ۝٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and the mountains be crumbled to dust, crumbling,
wabussati l-jibālu bassa
56:6 ›
فَكَانَتۡ هَبَاۤءࣰ مُّنۢبَثࣰّا ۝٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
then, they had been dust scattered about.
fakānat habāan munbatha
56:7 ›
وَكُنتُمۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا ثَلَـٰثَةࣰ ۝٧
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
And you had been of three diverse pairs.
wakuntum azwājan thalāthata
56:8 ›
فَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ ۝٨
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Then, the Companions of the Right—who are the Companions of the Right?
fa-aṣḥābu l-maymanati mā aṣḥābu l-maymanat
56:9 ›
وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ ۝٩
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
And the Companions of the Left—who are Companions of the Left?
wa-aṣḥābu l-mashamati mā aṣḥābu l-mashamat
56:10 ›
وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ۝١٠
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Ones who take the lead are the ones who take the lead.
wal-sābiqūna l-sābiqūn
56:11 ›
أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ۝١١
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Those are the ones who are brought near
ulāika l-muqarabūn
56:12 ›
فِی جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ۝١٢
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
in the Gardens of Bliss.
fī jannāti l-naʿīm
56:13 ›
ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
A throng of the ancient ones
thullatun mina l-awalīn
56:14 ›
وَقَلِیلࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝١٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and a few of the later ones
waqalīlun mina l-ākhirīn
56:15 ›
عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مَّوۡضُونَةࣲ ۝١٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
are on lined couches,
muttakiīna ʿalayhā mutaqābilīn
56:16 ›
مُّتَّكِءِینَ عَلَیۡهَا مُتَقَـٰبِلِینَ ۝١٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
ones who are reclining on them, ones who are facing one another.
Muttaki-eena AAalayha mutaqabileena
56:17 ›
یَطُوفُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَ ٰنࣱ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ۝١٧
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Immortal children go around them
yaṭūfu ʿalayhim wil'dānun mukhalladūn
56:18 ›
بِأَكۡوَابࣲ وَأَبَارِیقَ وَكَأۡسࣲ مِّن مَّعِینࣲ ۝١٨
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
with cups and ewers and goblets from a spring of water.
bi-akwābin wa-abārīqa wakasin min maʿīni
56:19 ›
لَّا یُصَدَّعُونَ عَنۡهَا وَلَا یُنزِفُونَ ۝١٩
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Neither will they suffer headaches nor will they be intoxicated,
lā yuṣaddaʿūna ʿanhā walā yunzifūn
56:20 ›
وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ مِّمَّا یَتَخَیَّرُونَ ۝٢٠
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and sweet fruit of what they specify
wafākihatin mimmā yatakhayyarūn
56:21 ›
وَلَحۡمِ طَیۡرࣲ مِّمَّا یَشۡتَهُونَ ۝٢١
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and the flesh of birds for which they lust
walaḥmi ṭayrin mimmā yashtahūn
56:22 ›
وَحُورٌ عِینࣱ ۝٢٢
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and most beautiful eyed ones,
waḥūrun ʿīnu
56:23 ›
كَأَمۡثَـٰلِ ٱللُّؤۡلُوِٕ ٱلۡمَكۡنُونِ ۝٢٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
like the parable of the well-guarded pearls,
ka-amthāli l-lu'lu-i l-maknūn
56:24 ›
جَزَاۤءَۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٢٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
a recompense for what they had been doing.
jazāan bimā kānū yaʿmalūn
56:25 ›
لَا یَسۡمَعُونَ فِیهَا لَغۡوࣰا وَلَا تَأۡثِیمًا ۝٢٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
They will not hear any idle talk in it nor accusation of sinfulness,
lā yasmaʿūna fīhā laghwan walā tathīma
56:26 ›
إِلَّا قِیلࣰا سَلَـٰمࣰا سَلَـٰمࣰا ۝٢٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
but the saying of: Peace! Peace!
illā qīlan salāman salāma
56:27 ›
وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡیَمِینِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٢٧
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
And the Companions of the Right—who are the Companions of the Right?
wa-aṣḥābu l-yamīni mā aṣḥābu l-yamīn
56:28 ›
فِی سِدۡرࣲ مَّخۡضُودࣲ ۝٢٨
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
They will be among thornless lote-trees
fī sid'rin makhḍūdi
56:29 ›
وَطَلۡحࣲ مَّنضُودࣲ ۝٢٩
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and acacias, one on another,
waṭalḥin manḍūdi
56:30 ›
وَظِلࣲّ مَّمۡدُودࣲ ۝٣٠
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and spread out shade
waẓillin mamdūdi
56:31 ›
وَمَاۤءࣲ مَّسۡكُوبࣲ ۝٣١
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and outpoured water
wamāin maskūbi
56:32 ›
وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ كَثِیرَةࣲ ۝٣٢
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and many sweet fruit.
wafākihatin kathīrati
56:33 ›
لَّا مَقۡطُوعَةࣲ وَلَا مَمۡنُوعَةࣲ ۝٣٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
There will be neither that which is severed nor that which is inaccessible.
lā maqṭūʿatin walā mamnūʿati
56:34 ›
وَفُرُشࣲ مَّرۡفُوعَةٍ ۝٣٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
And it is an exalted place of restfulness.
wafurushin marfūʿati
56:35 ›
إِنَّاۤ أَنشَأۡنَـٰهُنَّ إِنشَاۤءࣰ ۝٣٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Truly, We caused them (f) to grow, a good forming,
innā anshanāhunna inshāa
56:36 ›
فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُنَّ أَبۡكَارًا ۝٣٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and made them (f) virgins,
fajaʿalnāhunna abkāra
56:37 ›
عُرُبًا أَتۡرَابࣰا ۝٣٧
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
full of love, of the same age,
li-aṣḥābi l-yamīn
56:38 ›
لِّأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٣٨
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
for the Companions of the Right.
Li-as-habi alyameeni
2 The Guilty
56:39 ›
ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٣٩
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
A throng of the ancient ones
thullatun mina l-awalīn
56:40 ›
وَثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝٤٠
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and a throng from the later ones,
wathullatun mina l-ākhirīn
56:41 ›
وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ۝٤١
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and the Companions of the Left—who are the Companions of the Left?
wa-aṣḥābu l-shimāli mā aṣḥābu l-shimāl
56:42 ›
فِی سَمُومࣲ وَحَمِیمࣲ ۝٤٢
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Those who are in burning wind and scalding water
fī samūmin waḥamīmi
56:43 ›
وَظِلࣲّ مِّن یَحۡمُومࣲ ۝٤٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and shade of black smoke
waẓillin min yaḥmūmi
56:44 ›
لَّا بَارِدࣲ وَلَا كَرِیمٍ ۝٤٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
neither that which is cool nor generous.
lā bāridin walā karīmi
56:45 ›
إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَبۡلَ ذَ ٰلِكَ مُتۡرَفِینَ ۝٤٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Truly, they had been before that ones who are given ease
innahum kānū qabla dhālika mut'rafīn
56:46 ›
وَكَانُوا۟ یُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلۡحِنثِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٤٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and they had been persisting in tremendous wickedness.
wakānū yuṣirrūna ʿalā l-ḥinthi l-ʿaẓīm
56:47 ›
وَكَانُوا۟ یَقُولُونَ أَىِٕذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ ۝٤٧
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
And they had been saying: When we died and had been earth dust and bones, will we, then, be ones who are raised up?
wakānū yaqūlūna a-idhā mit'nā wakunnā turāban waʿiẓāman a-innā lamabʿūthūn
56:48 ›
أَوَ ءَابَاۤؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ ۝٤٨
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
And our ancient fathers?
awaābāunā l-awalūn
56:49 ›
قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ وَٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝٤٩
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Say: Truly, the ancient ones and the later ones
qul inna l-awalīna wal-ākhirīn
56:50 ›
لَمَجۡمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِیقَـٰتِ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝٥٠
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
will be ones who will be gathered to a time appointed on a known Day.
lamajmūʿūna ilā mīqāti yawmin maʿlūmi
56:51 ›
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمۡ أَیُّهَا ٱلضَّاۤلُّونَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٥١
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Again, you, O ones who go astray, are the ones who deny.
thumma innakum ayyuhā l-ḍālūna l-mukadhibūn
56:52 ›
لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرࣲ مِّن زَقُّومࣲ ۝٥٢
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Certainly, you will be ones who eat from the Zaqqum tree.
laākilūna min shajarin min zaqqūmi
56:53 ›
فَمَالِءُونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ ۝٥٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Then, you will be ones who fill your bellies from it,
famāliūna min'hā l-buṭūn
56:54 ›
فَشَـٰرِبُونَ عَلَیۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡحَمِیمِ ۝٥٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
then, ones who drink scalding water after it.
fashāribūna ʿalayhi mina l-ḥamīm
56:55 ›
فَشَـٰرِبُونَ شُرۡبَ ٱلۡهِیمِ ۝٥٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
So you will be ones who drink like the drinking of thirsty camels.
fashāribūna shur'ba l-hīm
56:56 ›
هَـٰذَا نُزُلُهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلدِّینِ ۝٥٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
This will be their hospitality on the Day of Judgment!
hādhā nuzuluhum yawma l-dīn
56:57 ›
نَحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ فَلَوۡلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ۝٥٧
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
We, We created you. Why establish it not as true?
naḥnu khalaqnākum falawlā tuṣaddiqūn
56:58 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تُمۡنُونَ ۝٥٨
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Considered you what you spill of human seed?
afara-aytum mā tum'nūn
56:59 ›
ءَأَنتُمۡ تَخۡلُقُونَهُۥۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡخَـٰلِقُونَ ۝٥٩
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Is it you who create it? Or are We the ones who are the creators?
a-antum takhluqūnahu am naḥnu l-khāliqūn
56:60 ›
نَحۡنُ قَدَّرۡنَا بَیۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِینَ ۝٦٠
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
We ordained death among you and We will not be ones who will be outrun
naḥnu qaddarnā baynakumu l-mawta wamā naḥnu bimasbūqīn
56:61 ›
عَلَىٰۤ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمۡثَـٰلَكُمۡ وَنُنشِئَكُمۡ فِی مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٦١
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
in that We will substitute your likeness and We caused you to grow in a way you know not.
walaqad ʿalim'tumu l-nashata l-ūlā falawlā tadhakkarūn
56:62 ›
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٦٢
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
And, certainly, you knew the first growth. Will you not, then, recollect?
Walaqad AAalimtumu alnnash-ata al-oola falawla tathakkaroona
56:63 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تَحۡرُثُونَ ۝٦٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Considered you the soil that you till?
afara-aytum mā taḥruthūn
56:64 ›
ءَأَنتُمۡ تَزۡرَعُونَهُۥۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلزَّ ٰرِعُونَ ۝٦٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Is it you who sows it? Or are We the ones who sow?
a-antum tazraʿūnahu am naḥnu l-zāriʿūn
56:65 ›
لَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ حُطَـٰمࣰا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ ۝٦٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
If We will, We would make it into chaff and you would continue to joke saying:
law nashāu lajaʿalnāhu ḥuṭāman faẓaltum tafakkahūn
56:66 ›
إِنَّا لَمُغۡرَمُونَ ۝٦٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
We are ones who are debt-loaded!
innā lamugh'ramūn
56:67 ›
بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ ۝٦٧
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Nay! We are ones who are deprived.
bal naḥnu maḥrūmūn
56:68 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَاۤءَ ٱلَّذِی تَشۡرَبُونَ ۝٦٨
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Considered you the water that you drink?
afara-aytumu l-māa alladhī tashrabūn
56:69 ›
ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنزَلۡتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُزۡنِ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنزِلُونَ ۝٦٩
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Is it you who caused it to descend from the cloud vapors? Or are We the ones who caused it to descend?
a-antum anzaltumūhu mina l-muz'ni am naḥnu l-munzilūn
56:70 ›
لَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ جَعَلۡنَـٰهُ أُجَاجࣰا فَلَوۡلَا تَشۡكُرُونَ ۝٧٠
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
If We will, We would make it bitter. Why, then, give you not thanks?
law nashāu jaʿalnāhu ujājan falawlā tashkurūn
56:71 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِی تُورُونَ ۝٧١
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Considered you the fire which you strike?
afara-aytumu l-nāra allatī tūrūn
56:72 ›
ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنشَأۡتُمۡ شَجَرَتَهَاۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنشِءُونَ ۝٧٢
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Is it you who caused the tree to grow? Or are We the ones who cause it to grow?
a-antum anshatum shajaratahā am naḥnu l-munshiūn
56:73 ›
نَحۡنُ جَعَلۡنَـٰهَا تَذۡكِرَةࣰ وَمَتَـٰعࣰا لِّلۡمُقۡوِینَ ۝٧٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
We made it an admonition and sustenance for ones who are desert people.
naḥnu jaʿalnāhā tadhkiratan wamatāʿan lil'muq'wīn
56:74 ›
فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٧٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Then, glorify with the name of thy Lord, The Sublime.
fasabbiḥ bi-is'mi rabbika l-ʿaẓīm
3 Judgment is Inevitable
56:75 ›
۞ فَلَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَوَ ٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ۝٧٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
But no! I swear by the orbit of the stars
falā uq'simu bimawāqiʿi l-nujūm
56:76 ›
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمࣱ لَّوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عَظِیمٌ ۝٧٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and, truly, that is an oath to be sworn if you know, sublime.
wa-innahu laqasamun law taʿlamūna ʿaẓīmu
56:77 ›
إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرۡءَانࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٧٧
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Truly, it is a generous Recitation
innahu laqur'ānun karīmu
56:78 ›
فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مَّكۡنُونࣲ ۝٧٨
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
in a well-guarded Book.
fī kitābin maknūni
56:79 ›
لَّا یَمَسُّهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ ۝٧٩
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
None touches it but the ones who are purified,
lā yamassuhu illā l-muṭaharūn
56:80 ›
تَنزِیلࣱ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٨٠
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
a sending down successively from the Lord of the worlds.
tanzīlun min rabbi l-ʿālamīn
56:81 ›
أَفَبِهَـٰذَا ٱلۡحَدِیثِ أَنتُم مُّدۡهِنُونَ ۝٨١
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Then, is it this discourse that you are ones who scorn?
afabihādhā l-ḥadīthi antum mud'hinūn
56:82 ›
وَتَجۡعَلُونَ رِزۡقَكُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٨٢
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
And you make it your provision that you, you deny the Recitation.
watajʿalūna riz'qakum annakum tukadhibūn
56:83 ›
فَلَوۡلَاۤ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلۡحُلۡقُومَ ۝٨٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Then, why not intervene when it reached the wind-pipe
falawlā idhā balaghati l-ḥul'qūm
56:84 ›
وَأَنتُمۡ حِینَىِٕذࣲ تَنظُرُونَ ۝٨٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and you are looking on at the time?
wa-antum ḥīna-idhin tanẓurūn
56:85 ›
وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَیۡهِ مِنكُمۡ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٨٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
And We are nearer to him than you, yet you perceive not.
wanaḥnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walākin lā tub'ṣirūn
56:86 ›
فَلَوۡلَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ غَیۡرَ مَدِینِینَ ۝٨٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Then, why had you not been—if you are not ones to be judged—
falawlā in kuntum ghayra madīnīn
56:87 ›
تَرۡجِعُونَهَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٨٧
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
returning the soul to the body, if you had been ones who are sincere?
tarjiʿūnahā in kuntum ṣādiqīn
56:88 ›
فَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِینَ ۝٨٨
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
If he had been among the ones who are brought near,
fa-ammā in kāna mina l-muqarabīn
56:89 ›
فَرَوۡحࣱ وَرَیۡحَانࣱ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِیمࣲ ۝٨٩
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
there is solace and fragrant herbs and a Garden of Bliss.
farawḥun warayḥānun wajannatu naʿīmi
56:90 ›
وَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٩٠

And if he had been of the Companions of the Right,
wa-ammā in kāna min aṣḥābi l-yamīn
56:91 ›
فَسَلَـٰمࣱ لَّكَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٩١

then: Peace for thee from the Companions of the Right.
fasalāmun laka min aṣḥābi l-yamīn
56:92 ›
وَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ۝٩٢

And yet if he had been of the ones who go astray, ones who deny,
wa-ammā in kāna mina l-mukadhibīna l-ḍālīn
56:93 ›
فَنُزُلࣱ مِّنۡ حَمِیمࣲ ۝٩٣
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
then, a hospitality of scalding water
fanuzulun min ḥamīmi
56:94 ›
وَتَصۡلِیَةُ جَحِیمٍ ۝٩٤
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
and broiling in hellfire.
wataṣliyatu jaḥīmi
56:95 ›
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلۡیَقِینِ ۝٩٥
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
Truly, this is The Truth of certainty.
inna hādhā lahuwa ḥaqqu l-yaqīn
56:96 ›
فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٩٦
Dr. Laleh Bakhtiar
So glorify the Name of thy Lord, The Almighty.
fasabbiḥ bi-is'mi rabbika l-ʿaẓīm
