The Event, The Inevitable, That Which is Coming — Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali Translation

56:1

۞ إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ ۝١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

When the Event (Literally: the Befalling) befalls

idhā waqaʿati l-wāqiʿat

56:2

لَیۡسَ لِوَقۡعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ۝٢

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

There is no lying about its befalling

laysa liwaqʿatihā kādhibatu

56:3

خَافِضَةࣱ رَّافِعَةٌ ۝٣

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Lowering (some), raising (others

khāfiḍatun rāfiʿatu

56:4

إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ رَجࣰّا ۝٤

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

When the earth will be convulsed with a (severe) convulsion

idhā rujjati l-arḍu rajja

56:5

وَبُسَّتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ بَسࣰّا ۝٥

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And the mountains crumbled with a violent crumbling

wabussati l-jibālu bassa

56:6

فَكَانَتۡ هَبَاۤءࣰ مُّنۢبَثࣰّا ۝٦

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

So that they become disseminated dust particles

fakānat habāan munbatha

56:7

وَكُنتُمۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا ثَلَـٰثَةࣰ ۝٧

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And you will be three pairs

wakuntum azwājan thalāthata

56:8

فَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ ۝٨

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

So (as for) the companions of the Rightness, (Or: the Right Hand) what (will become) of the companions of the Rightness

fa-aṣḥābu l-maymanati mā aṣḥābu l-maymanat

56:9

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ ۝٩

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And the companions of the Sinister (befalling), what (will become) of the companions of the Sinister (befalling)? (Or: the Left Hand

wa-aṣḥābu l-mashamati mā aṣḥābu l-mashamat

56:10

وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ۝١٠

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And the Outstrippers, (i.e., those who precede others) the Outstrippers

wal-sābiqūna l-sābiqūn

56:11

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ۝١١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Those are the ones to be brought near (in the Hereafter)

ulāika l-muqarabūn

56:12

فِی جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ۝١٢

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

In the Gardens of Bliss

fī jannāti l-naʿīm

56:13

ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٣

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

A throng of the earliest (people)

thullatun mina l-awalīn

56:14

وَقَلِیلࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝١٤

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And a few of the latest (people)

waqalīlun mina l-ākhirīn

56:15

عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مَّوۡضُونَةࣲ ۝١٥

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Upon close-wrought (Or: plaited or encrusted) settees

muttakiīna ʿalayhā mutaqābilīn

56:16

مُّتَّكِءِینَ عَلَیۡهَا مُتَقَـٰبِلِینَ ۝١٦

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Reclining upon them, facing one another

Muttaki-eena AAalayha mutaqabileena

56:17

یَطُوفُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَ ٰنࣱ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ۝١٧

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

(There) go round them eternalized young men

yaṭūfu ʿalayhim wil'dānun mukhalladūn

56:18

بِأَكۡوَابࣲ وَأَبَارِیقَ وَكَأۡسࣲ مِّن مَّعِینࣲ ۝١٨

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

With goblets, and beakers, and a cup from a profuse spring

bi-akwābin wa-abārīqa wakasin min maʿīni

56:19

لَّا یُصَدَّعُونَ عَنۡهَا وَلَا یُنزِفُونَ ۝١٩

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Wherefrom their (heads) will not ache, nor will they feel exhausted

lā yuṣaddaʿūna ʿanhā walā yunzifūn

56:20

وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ مِّمَّا یَتَخَیَّرُونَ ۝٢٠

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And (such) fruits as they will freely choose

wafākihatin mimmā yatakhayyarūn

56:21

وَلَحۡمِ طَیۡرࣲ مِّمَّا یَشۡتَهُونَ ۝٢١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And such flesh of birds as they crave for

walaḥmi ṭayrin mimmā yashtahūn

56:22

وَحُورٌ عِینࣱ ۝٢٢

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And wide-eyed huris

waḥūrun ʿīnu

56:23

كَأَمۡثَـٰلِ ٱللُّؤۡلُوِٕ ٱلۡمَكۡنُونِ ۝٢٣

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

As the likeness of nestled pearls

ka-amthāli l-lu'lu-i l-maknūn

56:24

جَزَاۤءَۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٢٤

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

(This is) a recompense for whatever they were doing

jazāan bimā kānū yaʿmalūn

56:25

لَا یَسۡمَعُونَ فِیهَا لَغۡوࣰا وَلَا تَأۡثِیمًا ۝٢٥

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Therein they will not hear any idle talk, nor any cause for vice

lā yasmaʿūna fīhā laghwan walā tathīma

56:26

إِلَّا قِیلࣰا سَلَـٰمࣰا سَلَـٰمࣰا ۝٢٦

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Except the blissful saying, "Peace! Peace!"

illā qīlan salāman salāma

56:27

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡیَمِینِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٢٧

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And the companions of the Right; what (will become) of the companions of the Right

wa-aṣḥābu l-yamīni mā aṣḥābu l-yamīn

56:28

فِی سِدۡرࣲ مَّخۡضُودࣲ ۝٢٨

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

They will be among thornless lote-trees

fī sid'rin makhḍūdi

56:29

وَطَلۡحࣲ مَّنضُودࣲ ۝٢٩

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And Talh, (It may mean banana or acacia, which are compacted) tiered (one on another)

waṭalḥin manḍūdi

56:30

وَظِلࣲّ مَّمۡدُودࣲ ۝٣٠

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And extended shade

waẓillin mamdūdi

56:31

وَمَاۤءࣲ مَّسۡكُوبࣲ ۝٣١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And outpoured water

wamāin maskūbi

56:32

وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ كَثِیرَةࣲ ۝٣٢

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And many (kinds) of fruit

wafākihatin kathīrati

56:33

لَّا مَقۡطُوعَةࣲ وَلَا مَمۡنُوعَةࣲ ۝٣٣

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Neither out of season, (Literally: cut off) nor out of reach- (i.e., unending fruits, that are not forbidden)

lā maqṭūʿatin walā mamnūʿati

56:34

وَفُرُشࣲ مَّرۡفُوعَةٍ ۝٣٤

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And raised beddings

wafurushin marfūʿati

56:35

إِنَّاۤ أَنشَأۡنَـٰهُنَّ إِنشَاۤءࣰ ۝٣٥

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Surely We have brought them (The huris) into being a (perfect) bringing up

innā anshanāhunna inshāa

56:36

فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُنَّ أَبۡكَارًا ۝٣٦

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

So We have made them virgins

fajaʿalnāhunna abkāra

56:37

عُرُبًا أَتۡرَابࣰا ۝٣٧

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Chastely amorous, like of age

li-aṣḥābi l-yamīn

56:38

لِّأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٣٨

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

For the companions of the Right

Li-as-habi alyameeni

56:39

ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٣٩

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

A throng of the earliest (people,

thullatun mina l-awalīn

56:40

وَثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝٤٠

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And a throng of the later (people)

wathullatun mina l-ākhirīn

56:41

وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ۝٤١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And the companions of the Left, what (will become) of the companions of the Left

wa-aṣḥābu l-shimāli mā aṣḥābu l-shimāl

56:42

فِی سَمُومࣲ وَحَمِیمࣲ ۝٤٢

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

(They will be) in pestilential wind, and scalding water

fī samūmin waḥamīmi

56:43

وَظِلࣲّ مِّن یَحۡمُومࣲ ۝٤٣

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And the shade of a Smoking Blaze

waẓillin min yaḥmūmi

56:44

لَّا بَارِدࣲ وَلَا كَرِیمٍ ۝٤٤

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Neither cool, nor refreshing (Literally: honorable)

lā bāridin walā karīmi

56:45

إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَبۡلَ ذَ ٰلِكَ مُتۡرَفِینَ ۝٤٥

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Surely they were before that (living) in ease and luxury

innahum kānū qabla dhālika mut'rafīn

56:46

وَكَانُوا۟ یُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلۡحِنثِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٤٦

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And they used to persist in the monstrous vileness

wakānū yuṣirrūna ʿalā l-ḥinthi l-ʿaẓīm

56:47

وَكَانُوا۟ یَقُولُونَ أَىِٕذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ ۝٤٧

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And they used to say, "When we die and are dust and bones, will we surely be made to rise again

wakānū yaqūlūna a-idhā mit'nā wakunnā turāban waʿiẓāman a-innā lamabʿūthūn

56:48

أَوَ ءَابَاۤؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ ۝٤٨

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And (also) our earliest fathers?"

awaābāunā l-awalūn

56:49

قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ وَٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝٤٩

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Say, (This is addressed to the Prophet) "Surely the earliest people and the later

qul inna l-awalīna wal-ākhirīn

56:50

لَمَجۡمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِیقَـٰتِ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝٥٠

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Will indeed be gathered to the fixed time of a known Day

lamajmūʿūna ilā mīqāti yawmin maʿlūmi

56:51

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمۡ أَیُّهَا ٱلضَّاۤلُّونَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٥١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Thereafter, surely you, you erring ones, the beliers

thumma innakum ayyuhā l-ḍālūna l-mukadhibūn

56:52

لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرࣲ مِّن زَقُّومࣲ ۝٥٢

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Indeed you will eat of the trees of Zaqqum

laākilūna min shajarin min zaqqūmi

56:53

فَمَالِءُونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ ۝٥٣

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

So you will be filling therewith (your) bellies

famāliūna min'hā l-buṭūn

56:54

فَشَـٰرِبُونَ عَلَیۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡحَمِیمِ ۝٥٤

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Then you will be drinking thereon of scalding water

fashāribūna ʿalayhi mina l-ḥamīm

56:55

فَشَـٰرِبُونَ شُرۡبَ ٱلۡهِیمِ ۝٥٥

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

So you will be drinking (like) the drinking of diseased camels wandering with thirst."

fashāribūna shur'ba l-hīm

56:56

هَـٰذَا نُزُلُهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلدِّینِ ۝٥٦

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

This is their hospitality on the Day of Doom

hādhā nuzuluhum yawma l-dīn

56:57

نَحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ فَلَوۡلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ۝٥٧

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

We, Ever We, created you. Would you then sincerely admit (the Truth)

naḥnu khalaqnākum falawlā tuṣaddiqūn

56:58

أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تُمۡنُونَ ۝٥٨

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

So, have you then seen what you ejaculate

afara-aytum mā tum'nūn

56:59

ءَأَنتُمۡ تَخۡلُقُونَهُۥۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡخَـٰلِقُونَ ۝٥٩

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Is it you who create it, or even are We the Creators

a-antum takhluqūnahu am naḥnu l-khāliqūn

56:60

نَحۡنُ قَدَّرۡنَا بَیۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِینَ ۝٦٠

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

We, Ever We, have determined among you Death; and in no way are We, Ever We, outstripped

naḥnu qaddarnā baynakumu l-mawta wamā naḥnu bimasbūqīn

56:61

عَلَىٰۤ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمۡثَـٰلَكُمۡ وَنُنشِئَكُمۡ فِی مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٦١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

(So) that We may exchange the likes of you and bring you into being (again in a fashion) you do not know

walaqad ʿalim'tumu l-nashata l-ūlā falawlā tadhakkarūn

56:62

وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٦٢

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And indeed you have already known the earliest bringing into being; (if) had you (known), you would have been mindful

Walaqad AAalimtumu alnnash-ata al-oola falawla tathakkaroona

56:63

أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تَحۡرُثُونَ ۝٦٣

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Have you then seen (whatever) you till

afara-aytum mā taḥruthūn

56:64

ءَأَنتُمۡ تَزۡرَعُونَهُۥۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلزَّ ٰرِعُونَ ۝٦٤

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Is it you who plant it or are We, Ever We, the Planters

a-antum tazraʿūnahu am naḥnu l-zāriʿūn

56:65

لَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ حُطَـٰمࣰا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ ۝٦٥

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

If We had (so) decided We would indeed have made it crushed to pieces; then you would linger on (bitterly) exclaiming

law nashāu lajaʿalnāhu ḥuṭāman faẓaltum tafakkahūn

56:66

إِنَّا لَمُغۡرَمُونَ ۝٦٦

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

"Surely we are indeed penalized (for debt)

innā lamugh'ramūn

56:67

بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ ۝٦٧

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

No indeed, (but) we are dispossessed!"

bal naḥnu maḥrūmūn

56:68

أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَاۤءَ ٱلَّذِی تَشۡرَبُونَ ۝٦٨

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Have you then seen the water you drink

afara-aytumu l-māa alladhī tashrabūn

56:69

ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنزَلۡتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُزۡنِ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنزِلُونَ ۝٦٩

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Is it you who have sent it down from the rainy clouds or are We, Ever We, The Senders down

a-antum anzaltumūhu mina l-muz'ni am naḥnu l-munzilūn

56:70

لَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ جَعَلۡنَـٰهُ أُجَاجࣰا فَلَوۡلَا تَشۡكُرُونَ ۝٧٠

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

If We had (so) decided, We would have made it bitter; so had you only thanked (Us)

law nashāu jaʿalnāhu ujājan falawlā tashkurūn

56:71

أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِی تُورُونَ ۝٧١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Have you then seen the fire you flare up

afara-aytumu l-nāra allatī tūrūn

56:72

ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنشَأۡتُمۡ شَجَرَتَهَاۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنشِءُونَ ۝٧٢

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Is it you who brought its tree into being, or are We, Ever We, The Bringers into being

a-antum anshatum shajaratahā am naḥnu l-munshiūn

56:73

نَحۡنُ جَعَلۡنَـٰهَا تَذۡكِرَةࣰ وَمَتَـٰعࣰا لِّلۡمُقۡوِینَ ۝٧٣

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

We, Ever We, have made it for a Reminder and an enjoyment for the denizens in the desert

naḥnu jaʿalnāhā tadhkiratan wamatāʿan lil'muq'wīn

56:74

فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٧٤

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

So extol with the Name of your Lord, The Ever-Magnificent

fasabbiḥ bi-is'mi rabbika l-ʿaẓīm

56:75

۞ فَلَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَوَ ٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ۝٧٥

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Then no! I swear by the sites of the stars

falā uq'simu bimawāqiʿi l-nujūm

56:76

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمࣱ لَّوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عَظِیمٌ ۝٧٦

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And surely it is indeed a tremendous oath, if you only know (it)

wa-innahu laqasamun law taʿlamūna ʿaẓīmu

56:77

إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرۡءَانࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٧٧

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Surely it is indeed an honorable Qur'an

innahu laqur'ānun karīmu

56:78

فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مَّكۡنُونࣲ ۝٧٨

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

In a nestled Book

fī kitābin maknūni

56:79

لَّا یَمَسُّهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ ۝٧٩

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Which none shall touch except the purified

lā yamassuhu illā l-muṭaharūn

56:80

تَنزِیلࣱ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٨٠

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

A successive sending down from The Lord of the worlds

tanzīlun min rabbi l-ʿālamīn

56:81

أَفَبِهَـٰذَا ٱلۡحَدِیثِ أَنتُم مُّدۡهِنُونَ ۝٨١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Is it, then, that you (i.e., the disbelievers) are dissimulating with this Discourse

afabihādhā l-ḥadīthi antum mud'hinūn

56:82

وَتَجۡعَلُونَ رِزۡقَكُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٨٢

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And making your provision (for livelihood) that you cry lies

watajʿalūna riz'qakum annakum tukadhibūn

56:83

فَلَوۡلَاۤ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلۡحُلۡقُومَ ۝٨٣

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Then had it been that, when (the self) (i.e., the self of the dying person) reaches the gullet (of the dying)

falawlā idhā balaghati l-ḥul'qūm

56:84

وَأَنتُمۡ حِینَىِٕذࣲ تَنظُرُونَ ۝٨٤

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And you at that while of time (sit) looking on

wa-antum ḥīna-idhin tanẓurūn

56:85

وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَیۡهِ مِنكُمۡ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٨٥

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And We are nearer to him than you, but you do not behold

wanaḥnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walākin lā tub'ṣirūn

56:86

فَلَوۡلَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ غَیۡرَ مَدِینِینَ ۝٨٦

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Then had you been (sure) that, in case you are other than being doomed

falawlā in kuntum ghayra madīnīn

56:87

تَرۡجِعُونَهَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٨٧

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Make it return, if (ever) you are sincere

tarjiʿūnahā in kuntum ṣādiqīn

56:88

فَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِینَ ۝٨٨

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

So, as for him who in case he is of those brought near (to Us)

fa-ammā in kāna mina l-muqarabīn

56:89

فَرَوۡحࣱ وَرَیۡحَانࣱ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِیمࣲ ۝٨٩

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Then (there will be) relief, and soothing comfort, and a Garden of Bliss

farawḥun warayḥānun wajannatu naʿīmi

56:90

وَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٩٠

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

And as for him who in case he is of the companions of the Right

wa-ammā in kāna min aṣḥābi l-yamīn

56:91

فَسَلَـٰمࣱ لَّكَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٩١

Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali

Then (it will be said), "Peace be upon you; (you are) one of the companions of the Right."

fasalāmun laka min aṣḥābi l-yamīn

56:92

وَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ۝٩٢

And as for him who in case he is of the beliers (and) the erring

wa-ammā in kāna mina l-mukadhibīna l-ḍālīn

56:93

فَنُزُلࣱ مِّنۡ حَمِیمࣲ ۝٩٣

Then (there will be) hospitality of scalding (water

fanuzulun min ḥamīmi

56:94

وَتَصۡلِیَةُ جَحِیمٍ ۝٩٤

And the roasting in Hell-Fire

wataṣliyatu jaḥīmi

56:95

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلۡیَقِینِ ۝٩٥

Surely this is indeed the very Truth of Certitude

inna hādhā lahuwa ḥaqqu l-yaqīn

56:96

فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٩٦

So extol with the Name of your Ever- Magnificent Lord

fasabbiḥ bi-is'mi rabbika l-ʿaẓīm
