1 Three Classes of Men
56:1 ›
۞ إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ ۝١
Muhammad Asad
WHEN THAT which must come to pass [at last] comes to pass
idhā waqaʿati l-wāqiʿat
56:2 ›
لَیۡسَ لِوَقۡعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ۝٢
Muhammad Asad
there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass
laysa liwaqʿatihā kādhibatu
56:3 ›
خَافِضَةࣱ رَّافِعَةٌ ۝٣
Muhammad Asad
abasing [some], exalting [others]
khāfiḍatun rāfiʿatu
56:4 ›
إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ رَجࣰّا ۝٤
Muhammad Asad
When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe]
idhā rujjati l-arḍu rajja
56:5 ›
وَبُسَّتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ بَسࣰّا ۝٥
Muhammad Asad
and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards
wabussati l-jibālu bassa
56:6 ›
فَكَانَتۡ هَبَاۤءࣰ مُّنۢبَثࣰّا ۝٦
Muhammad Asad
so that they become as scattered dust –
fakānat habāan munbatha
56:7 ›
وَكُنتُمۡ أَزۡوَ ٰجࣰا ثَلَـٰثَةࣰ ۝٧
Muhammad Asad
[on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds
wakuntum azwājan thalāthata
56:8 ›
فَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَیۡمَنَةِ ۝٨
Muhammad Asad
Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right
fa-aṣḥābu l-maymanati mā aṣḥābu l-maymanat
56:9 ›
وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡءَمَةِ ۝٩
Muhammad Asad
And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil
wa-aṣḥābu l-mashamati mā aṣḥābu l-mashamat
56:10 ›
وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ۝١٠
Muhammad Asad
But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]
wal-sābiqūna l-sābiqūn
56:11 ›
أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ۝١١
Muhammad Asad
they who were [always] drawn close unto God
ulāika l-muqarabūn
56:12 ›
فِی جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ۝١٢
Muhammad Asad
In gardens of bliss [will they dwell]
fī jannāti l-naʿīm
56:13 ›
ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٣
Muhammad Asad
a good many of those of olden times
thullatun mina l-awalīn
56:14 ›
وَقَلِیلࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝١٤
Muhammad Asad
but [only] a few of later times
waqalīlun mina l-ākhirīn
56:15 ›
عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مَّوۡضُونَةࣲ ۝١٥
Muhammad Asad
[They will be seated] on gold-encrusted thrones of happiness
muttakiīna ʿalayhā mutaqābilīn
56:16 ›
مُّتَّكِءِینَ عَلَیۡهَا مُتَقَـٰبِلِینَ ۝١٦
Muhammad Asad
reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]
Muttaki-eena AAalayha mutaqabileena
56:17 ›
یَطُوفُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَ ٰنࣱ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ۝١٧
Muhammad Asad
Immortal youths will wait upon the
yaṭūfu ʿalayhim wil'dānun mukhalladūn
56:18 ›
بِأَكۡوَابࣲ وَأَبَارِیقَ وَكَأۡسࣲ مِّن مَّعِینࣲ ۝١٨
Muhammad Asad
with goblets, and ewers, and cups filled with water from unsullied spring
bi-akwābin wa-abārīqa wakasin min maʿīni
56:19 ›
لَّا یُصَدَّعُونَ عَنۡهَا وَلَا یُنزِفُونَ ۝١٩
Muhammad Asad
by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk
lā yuṣaddaʿūna ʿanhā walā yunzifūn
56:20 ›
وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ مِّمَّا یَتَخَیَّرُونَ ۝٢٠
Muhammad Asad
and with fruit of any kind that they may choose
wafākihatin mimmā yatakhayyarūn
56:21 ›
وَلَحۡمِ طَیۡرࣲ مِّمَّا یَشۡتَهُونَ ۝٢١
Muhammad Asad
and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire
walaḥmi ṭayrin mimmā yashtahūn
56:22 ›
وَحُورٌ عِینࣱ ۝٢٢
Muhammad Asad
And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye
waḥūrun ʿīnu
56:23 ›
كَأَمۡثَـٰلِ ٱللُّؤۡلُوِٕ ٱلۡمَكۡنُونِ ۝٢٣
Muhammad Asad
like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells
ka-amthāli l-lu'lu-i l-maknūn
56:24 ›
جَزَاۤءَۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٢٤
Muhammad Asad
[And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]
jazāan bimā kānū yaʿmalūn
56:25 ›
لَا یَسۡمَعُونَ فِیهَا لَغۡوࣰا وَلَا تَأۡثِیمًا ۝٢٥
Muhammad Asad
No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin
lā yasmaʿūna fīhā laghwan walā tathīma
56:26 ›
إِلَّا قِیلࣰا سَلَـٰمࣰا سَلَـٰمࣰا ۝٢٦
Muhammad Asad
but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace
illā qīlan salāman salāma
56:27 ›
وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡیَمِینِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٢٧
Muhammad Asad
NOW AS FOR those who have attained to righteousness - what of those who have attained to righteousness
wa-aṣḥābu l-yamīni mā aṣḥābu l-yamīn
56:28 ›
فِی سِدۡرࣲ مَّخۡضُودࣲ ۝٢٨
Muhammad Asad
[They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit- laden lote-trees
fī sid'rin makhḍūdi
56:29 ›
وَطَلۡحࣲ مَّنضُودࣲ ۝٢٩
Muhammad Asad
and acacias flower-clad
waṭalḥin manḍūdi
56:30 ›
وَظِلࣲّ مَّمۡدُودࣲ ۝٣٠
Muhammad Asad
and shade extended
waẓillin mamdūdi
56:31 ›
وَمَاۤءࣲ مَّسۡكُوبࣲ ۝٣١
Muhammad Asad
and waters gushing
wamāin maskūbi
56:32 ›
وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ كَثِیرَةࣲ ۝٣٢
Muhammad Asad
and fruit abounding
wafākihatin kathīrati
56:33 ›
لَّا مَقۡطُوعَةࣲ وَلَا مَمۡنُوعَةࣲ ۝٣٣
Muhammad Asad
never-failing and never out of reach
lā maqṭūʿatin walā mamnūʿati
56:34 ›
وَفُرُشࣲ مَّرۡفُوعَةٍ ۝٣٤
Muhammad Asad
And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high
wafurushin marfūʿati
56:35 ›
إِنَّاۤ أَنشَأۡنَـٰهُنَّ إِنشَاۤءࣰ ۝٣٥
Muhammad Asad
for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed
innā anshanāhunna inshāa
56:36 ›
فَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُنَّ أَبۡكَارًا ۝٣٦
Muhammad Asad
having resurrected them as virgins
fajaʿalnāhunna abkāra
56:37 ›
عُرُبًا أَتۡرَابࣰا ۝٣٧
Muhammad Asad
full of love, well-matche
li-aṣḥābi l-yamīn
56:38 ›
لِّأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٣٨
Muhammad Asad
with those who have attained to righteousness
Li-as-habi alyameeni
2 The Guilty
56:39 ›
ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٣٩
Muhammad Asad
a good many of olden times
thullatun mina l-awalīn
56:40 ›
وَثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝٤٠
Muhammad Asad
and a good many of later times
wathullatun mina l-ākhirīn
56:41 ›
وَأَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَاۤ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ۝٤١
Muhammad Asad
BUT AS FOR those who have persevered in evil - what of those who have persevered in evil
wa-aṣḥābu l-shimāli mā aṣḥābu l-shimāl
56:42 ›
فِی سَمُومࣲ وَحَمِیمࣲ ۝٤٢
Muhammad Asad
[They will find themselves] in the midst of scorching winds, and burning despair
fī samūmin waḥamīmi
56:43 ›
وَظِلࣲّ مِّن یَحۡمُومࣲ ۝٤٣
Muhammad Asad
and the shadows of black smoke
waẓillin min yaḥmūmi
56:44 ›
لَّا بَارِدࣲ وَلَا كَرِیمٍ ۝٤٤
Muhammad Asad
[shadows] neither cooling nor soothing
lā bāridin walā karīmi
56:45 ›
إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَبۡلَ ذَ ٰلِكَ مُتۡرَفِینَ ۝٤٥
Muhammad Asad
For, behold, in times gone by they were wont to abandon themselves wholly to the pursuit of pleasures
innahum kānū qabla dhālika mut'rafīn
56:46 ›
وَكَانُوا۟ یُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلۡحِنثِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٤٦
Muhammad Asad
and would persist in heinous sinning
wakānū yuṣirrūna ʿalā l-ḥinthi l-ʿaẓīm
56:47 ›
وَكَانُوا۟ یَقُولُونَ أَىِٕذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ ۝٤٧
Muhammad Asad
and would say, “What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead?
wakānū yaqūlūna a-idhā mit'nā wakunnā turāban waʿiẓāman a-innā lamabʿūthūn
56:48 ›
أَوَ ءَابَاۤؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ ۝٤٨
Muhammad Asad
and perhaps, too, our forebears of old?”
awaābāunā l-awalūn
56:49 ›
قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ وَٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝٤٩
Muhammad Asad
Say: “Verily, those of olden times and those of later time
qul inna l-awalīna wal-ākhirīn
56:50 ›
لَمَجۡمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِیقَـٰتِ یَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ ۝٥٠
Muhammad Asad
will indeed be gathered together at an appointed time on a Day known [only to God]
lamajmūʿūna ilā mīqāti yawmin maʿlūmi
56:51 ›
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمۡ أَیُّهَا ٱلضَّاۤلُّونَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٥١
Muhammad Asad
and then, verily, O you who have gone astray and called the truth a lie
thumma innakum ayyuhā l-ḍālūna l-mukadhibūn
56:52 ›
لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرࣲ مِّن زَقُّومࣲ ۝٥٢
Muhammad Asad
you will indeed have to taste of the tree of deadly fruit
laākilūna min shajarin min zaqqūmi
56:53 ›
فَمَالِءُونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ ۝٥٣
Muhammad Asad
and will have to fill your bellies therewith
famāliūna min'hā l-buṭūn
56:54 ›
فَشَـٰرِبُونَ عَلَیۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡحَمِیمِ ۝٥٤
Muhammad Asad
and will thereupon have to drink [many a draught] of burning despair
fashāribūna ʿalayhi mina l-ḥamīm
56:55 ›
فَشَـٰرِبُونَ شُرۡبَ ٱلۡهِیمِ ۝٥٥
Muhammad Asad
drink it as the most insatiably thirsty camels drink!”
fashāribūna shur'ba l-hīm
56:56 ›
هَـٰذَا نُزُلُهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلدِّینِ ۝٥٦
Muhammad Asad
Such will be their welcome on Judgment Day
hādhā nuzuluhum yawma l-dīn
56:57 ›
نَحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ فَلَوۡلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ۝٥٧
Muhammad Asad
WE who have created you, [O men:] why, then, do you not accept the truth
naḥnu khalaqnākum falawlā tuṣaddiqūn
56:58 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تُمۡنُونَ ۝٥٨
Muhammad Asad
Have you ever considered that [seed] which you emit
afara-aytum mā tum'nūn
56:59 ›
ءَأَنتُمۡ تَخۡلُقُونَهُۥۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡخَـٰلِقُونَ ۝٥٩
Muhammad Asad
Is it you who create it - or are We the source of its creation
a-antum takhluqūnahu am naḥnu l-khāliqūn
56:60 ›
نَحۡنُ قَدَّرۡنَا بَیۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِینَ ۝٦٠
Muhammad Asad
We have [indeed] decreed that death shall be [ever-present] among you: but there is nothing to prevent Us
naḥnu qaddarnā baynakumu l-mawta wamā naḥnu bimasbūqīn
56:61 ›
عَلَىٰۤ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمۡثَـٰلَكُمۡ وَنُنشِئَكُمۡ فِی مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٦١
Muhammad Asad
from changing the nature of your existence and bringing you into being [anew] in a manner [as yet] unknown to you
walaqad ʿalim'tumu l-nashata l-ūlā falawlā tadhakkarūn
56:62 ›
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٦٢
Muhammad Asad
And [since] you are indeed aware of the [miracle of your] coming into being in the first instance - why, then, do you not bethink yourselves [of Us]
Walaqad AAalimtumu alnnash-ata al-oola falawla tathakkaroona
56:63 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تَحۡرُثُونَ ۝٦٣
Muhammad Asad
Have you ever considered the seed which you cast upon the soil
afara-aytum mā taḥruthūn
56:64 ›
ءَأَنتُمۡ تَزۡرَعُونَهُۥۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلزَّ ٰرِعُونَ ۝٦٤
Muhammad Asad
Is it you who cause it to grow - or are We the cause of its growth
a-antum tazraʿūnahu am naḥnu l-zāriʿūn
56:65 ›
لَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ لَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ حُطَـٰمࣰا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ ۝٦٥
Muhammad Asad
[For,] were it Our will, We could indeed turn it into chaff, and you would be left to wonder [and to lament]
law nashāu lajaʿalnāhu ḥuṭāman faẓaltum tafakkahūn
56:66 ›
إِنَّا لَمُغۡرَمُونَ ۝٦٦
Muhammad Asad
“Verily, we are ruined
innā lamugh'ramūn
56:67 ›
بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ ۝٦٧
Muhammad Asad
Nay, but we have been deprived [of our livelihood]!”
bal naḥnu maḥrūmūn
56:68 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَاۤءَ ٱلَّذِی تَشۡرَبُونَ ۝٦٨
Muhammad Asad
Have you ever considered the water which you drink
afara-aytumu l-māa alladhī tashrabūn
56:69 ›
ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنزَلۡتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُزۡنِ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنزِلُونَ ۝٦٩
Muhammad Asad
Is it you who cause it to come down from the clouds - or are We the cause of its coming down
a-antum anzaltumūhu mina l-muz'ni am naḥnu l-munzilūn
56:70 ›
لَوۡ نَشَاۤءُ جَعَلۡنَـٰهُ أُجَاجࣰا فَلَوۡلَا تَشۡكُرُونَ ۝٧٠
Muhammad Asad
[It comes down sweet - but] were it Our will, We could make it burningly salty and bitter: why, then, do you not give thanks [unto Us]
law nashāu jaʿalnāhu ujājan falawlā tashkurūn
56:71 ›
أَفَرَءَیۡتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِی تُورُونَ ۝٧١
Muhammad Asad
Have you ever considered the fire which you kindle
afara-aytumu l-nāra allatī tūrūn
56:72 ›
ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنشَأۡتُمۡ شَجَرَتَهَاۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنشِءُونَ ۝٧٢
Muhammad Asad
Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being
a-antum anshatum shajaratahā am naḥnu l-munshiūn
56:73 ›
نَحۡنُ جَعَلۡنَـٰهَا تَذۡكِرَةࣰ وَمَتَـٰعࣰا لِّلۡمُقۡوِینَ ۝٧٣
Muhammad Asad
It is We who have made it a means to remind [you of Us], and a comfort for all who are lost and hungry in the wilderness [of their lives]
naḥnu jaʿalnāhā tadhkiratan wamatāʿan lil'muq'wīn
56:74 ›
فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٧٤
Muhammad Asad
Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer’s mighty name
fasabbiḥ bi-is'mi rabbika l-ʿaẓīm
3 Judgment is Inevitable
56:75 ›
۞ فَلَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَوَ ٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ۝٧٥
Muhammad Asad
NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur’an]
falā uq'simu bimawāqiʿi l-nujūm
56:76 ›
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمࣱ لَّوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عَظِیمٌ ۝٧٦
Muhammad Asad
and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it
wa-innahu laqasamun law taʿlamūna ʿaẓīmu
56:77 ›
إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرۡءَانࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٧٧
Muhammad Asad
Behold, it is a truly noble discourse
innahu laqur'ānun karīmu
56:78 ›
فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مَّكۡنُونࣲ ۝٧٨
Muhammad Asad
[conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine wri
fī kitābin maknūni
56:79 ›
لَّا یَمَسُّهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُطَهَّرُونَ ۝٧٩
Muhammad Asad
which none but the pure [of heart] can touch
lā yamassuhu illā l-muṭaharūn
56:80 ›
تَنزِیلࣱ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٨٠
Muhammad Asad
a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds
tanzīlun min rabbi l-ʿālamīn
56:81 ›
أَفَبِهَـٰذَا ٱلۡحَدِیثِ أَنتُم مُّدۡهِنُونَ ۝٨١
Muhammad Asad
Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this
afabihādhā l-ḥadīthi antum mud'hinūn
56:82 ›
وَتَجۡعَلُونَ رِزۡقَكُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٨٢
Muhammad Asad
and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie
watajʿalūna riz'qakum annakum tukadhibūn
56:83 ›
فَلَوۡلَاۤ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلۡحُلۡقُومَ ۝٨٣
Muhammad Asad
Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man]
falawlā idhā balaghati l-ḥul'qūm
56:84 ›
وَأَنتُمۡ حِینَىِٕذࣲ تَنظُرُونَ ۝٨٤
Muhammad Asad
the while you are [helplessly] looking on
wa-antum ḥīna-idhin tanẓurūn
56:85 ›
وَنَحۡنُ أَقۡرَبُ إِلَیۡهِ مِنكُمۡ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٨٥
Muhammad Asad
and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not -
wanaḥnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walākin lā tub'ṣirūn
56:86 ›
فَلَوۡلَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ غَیۡرَ مَدِینِینَ ۝٨٦
Muhammad Asad
why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us]
falawlā in kuntum ghayra madīnīn
56:87 ›
تَرۡجِعُونَهَاۤ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٨٧
Muhammad Asad
can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true
tarjiʿūnahā in kuntum ṣādiqīn
56:88 ›
فَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِینَ ۝٨٨
Muhammad Asad
[ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God
fa-ammā in kāna mina l-muqarabīn
56:89 ›
فَرَوۡحࣱ وَرَیۡحَانࣱ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِیمࣲ ۝٨٩
Muhammad Asad
happiness [awaits him in the life to come], and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss
farawḥun warayḥānun wajannatu naʿīmi
56:90 ›
وَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٩٠
Muhammad Asad
And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness
wa-ammā in kāna min aṣḥābi l-yamīn
56:91 ›
فَسَلَـٰمࣱ لَّكَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡیَمِینِ ۝٩١
Muhammad Asad
[he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] “Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!”
fasalāmun laka min aṣḥābi l-yamīn
56:92 ›
وَأَمَّاۤ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ۝٩٢

But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray
wa-ammā in kāna mina l-mukadhibīna l-ḍālīn
56:93 ›
فَنُزُلࣱ مِّنۡ حَمِیمࣲ ۝٩٣

a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,]
fanuzulun min ḥamīmi
56:94 ›
وَتَصۡلِیَةُ جَحِیمٍ ۝٩٤

and the heat of a blazing fire
wataṣliyatu jaḥīmi
56:95 ›
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلۡیَقِینِ ۝٩٥

Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths
inna hādhā lahuwa ḥaqqu l-yaqīn
56:96 ›
فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٩٦

Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer’s mighty name
fasabbiḥ bi-is'mi rabbika l-ʿaẓīm
