وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ wa-azwājukum
and your spouses Noun
وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ waʿashīratukum
and your relatives Noun
وَأَمْوَٰلٌ wa-amwālun
and wealth Noun
ٱقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا iq'taraftumūhā
that you have acquired V
وَتِجَٰرَةٌ watijāratun
and the commerce Noun
تَخْشَوْنَ takhshawna
you fear V
كَسَادَهَا kasādahā
a decline (in) it Noun
وَمَسَٰكِنُ wamasākinu
and the dwellings Noun
تَرْضَوْنَهَآ tarḍawnahā
you delight (in) it V
أَحَبَّ aḥabba
(are) more beloved Noun
إِلَيْكُم ilaykum

مِّنَ mina

ٱللَّهِ l-lahi

وَرَسُولِهِۦ warasūlihi
and His Messenger Noun
وَجِهَادٍ wajihādin

فِى fī

سَبِيلِهِۦ sabīlihi

فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ fatarabbaṣū
then wait V
حَتَّىٰ ḥattā
until Prep
يَأْتِىَ yatiya
Allah brings V
ٱللَّهُ l-lahu
Allah brings Noun
بِأَمْرِهِۦ bi-amrihi
His Command Noun
وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu
And Allah Noun
لَا lā
(does) not Prep
يَهْدِى yahdī
guide V
ٱلْقَوْمَ l-qawma
the people Noun
ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ l-fāsiqīna
the defiantly disobedient Noun

Say [Prophet], ‘If your fathers, sons, brothers, wives, tribes, the wealth you have acquired, the trade which you fear will decline, and the dwellings you love are dearer to you than God and His Messenger and the struggle in His cause, then wait until God brings about His punishment.’ God does not guide those who break away

قُلۡ إِن كَانَ ءَابَاۤؤُكُمۡ وَأَبۡنَاۤؤُكُمۡ وَإِخۡوَ ٰنُكُمۡ وَأَزۡوَ ٰجُكُمۡ وَعَشِیرَتُكُمۡ وَأَمۡوَ ٰلٌ ٱقۡتَرَفۡتُمُوهَا وَتِجَـٰرَةࣱ تَخۡشَوۡنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَـٰكِنُ تَرۡضَوۡنَهَاۤ أَحَبَّ إِلَیۡكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَجِهَادࣲ فِی سَبِیلِهِۦ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ یَأۡتِیَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَمۡرِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا یَهۡدِی ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَـٰسِقِینَ ۝٢٤

qul in kāna ābāukum wa-abnāukum wa-ikh'wānukum wa-azwājukum waʿashīratukum wa-amwālun iq'taraftumūhā watijāratun takhshawna kasādahā wamasākinu tarḍawnahā aḥabba ilaykum mina l-lahi warasūlihi wajihādin fī sabīlihi fatarabbaṣū ḥattā yatiya l-lahu bi-amrihi wal-lahu lā yahdī l-qawma l-fāsiqīn
