كَمَاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِینَ ٩٠
kamā anzalnā ʿalā l-muq'tasimīn
like the [warning] We have sent down for those who divide themselves into band
As We have sent down (this warning) on the dividers
Even as We sent down on the dividers
Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Book
Just as We had revealed (the knowledge of the reality) to those who divide and separate (the Old and New Testaments to suit their own interests), We have also revealed it to you!
Just as We sent down punishment on the dissectors,
Even as We sent down on the dividers
Just as We have sent down on those who make divisions
Since We (have decided to) send down (this revelation full of warnings) to those who have formed themselves into factions by taking oaths (against you)
So We sent it down to the partitioners
like (the warning) that We sent down on the dividers (who create divisions),
This warning is like the one that I sent [in the past] to those who divided their religion into different sects
As We have sent down on those who divided it
So too did We send down to those who divide among themselves—
As we sent down (punishment) on the separatist
(Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers
Even so like We sent down [the book] to those who were dividers.
If they believe not, We will inflict a like punishment on them, as We have inflicted on the dividers
Such as We sent down for those who make divisions
So We sent it down to the partitioners
We will punish those who foster divisions
As We sent down (Our curse and disagreement) on those who divided (the Scripture out of their own whims into equal parts and thus mutilated the integrity of its Surahs) —
even as We caused to descend on the ones who are partitioners,
The same [punishment] as We deliver to those who carved [Biblical Scriptures]…
This warning is like the warning which We sent down to the schismatics
even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments
Like as We sent down on them who took oaths
Like that We will send down (the punishment) on the dividers,
It is as though what We have sent down is on those who make divisions therein
The (torment) that We sent down upon the dividers (i.e., the Jews and the Christians)
As We have sent down on the dividers
As for the dividers in what We sent down.
As for the dividers in what We sent down,
As We descended on the apportioners/dividers/distributors
[For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts
Just as We sent down upon those who divide among themselves, (i.e., draw lots or divide by means of headless arrows)
Such as We send down for those who make division
(We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into group
(to warn them that We may send down the scourge upon them) as We sent down upon the dividers
Like as We sent down on the dividers,
Like the one We sent to those who split into groups
Like as We sent down on the dividers,
Just as We had sent down a warning to those who treated Our Scriptures in the way it suited them dividing them into parts, accepting some and rejecting others
We have already spoken regarding those who divided the scripture
˹a warning˺ similar to what We sent to those who divided ˹the Scriptures˺,
Like We sent to those who like to cause division.
As surely will We punish the schismatics, those who have broken up
We will deal with the dividers.
Just as We have sent down warnings for the conspiring separatists
Just as We have sent down warnings for the conspiring separatists
Just as We sent down to the dividers (Jews and Christians).
(We shall send them chastisement) as We sent down on the dividers.
Just as We have bestowed from on high on those who later broke it into parts,
We did send down punishment upon the formulators of sects, after such warnings
Like as We sent down on the divider
Because WE have decided to send down punishment on those who have formed themselves into groups against thee
Such as We have sent down for those who make division
(Anger) as We have sent down on those who have divided (the Word of Allah in parts as they please)—
Just as We had revealed to the separatists.

(Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),
