قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَاۤ أَغۡوَیۡتَنِی لَأُزَیِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِیَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ٣٩
qāla rabbi bimā aghwaytanī la-uzayyinanna lahum fī l-arḍi wala-ugh'wiyannahum ajmaʿīn
Iblis then said to God, ‘Because You have put me in the wrong, I will lure mankind on earth and put them in the wrong
(Satan) said: “O my Lord! Since You let me go astray, I shall indeed adorn (path of error) for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all
He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all
"O my Lord," he said, "since You have led me into error I'll beguile them with the pleasures of the world and lead them astray
(Iblis) said: “My Rabb! Because You have led me astray as the outcome of the Names expressed through me, I will surely make (disobedience; deeds that veil from the sunnatullah) attractive to them on earth (their bodily lives) and mislead them all.”
He said, ´My Lord, because You misled me, I will make things on the earth seem good to them and I will mislead them all, every one of them,
He said, ‘My Lord! As You have consigned me to perversity, I will surely glamorize [evil] for them on the earth, and I will surely pervert them, al
(Iblis said:) "My Lord! Because You have allowed me to rebel and go astray, I will indeed deck out as appealing to them on the earth (the worldly, material dimension of human existence and the path of error), and I will surely cause them all to rebel and go astray
He said, `My Lord! since You have condemned me as astray (and erring), I will surely make (evil of straying from the straight path) fair-seeming to them (as long as they stay) on the earth; I shall seduce them all
Said he, 'My Lord, for Thy perverting me I shall deck all fair to them in the earth, and I shall pervert them, all together
He said: “My Lord, because you misled me, I shall beautify (the bad deeds) for them on the earth and I shall mislead them all,
He said: “My Lord, as you have excluded me from salvation, I will enchant them with their earthly life so much that they are misled into the wrong path.”
Lucifer said, “O my Lord, because You have put me in the wrong, I will make wrong attractive to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong
He said, “My Lord, since You have deluded me, I will most surely adorn for them (evil deeds) on earth, and I will most surely delude them all,
He said, 'O my Lord! for that Thou hast seduced me I will surely make it seem seemly for them on earth, and I will surely seduce them all together
He said, "My Lord! I swear by the fact that You sent me astray, I shall distract them in the earth, and I shall lead all of them astray."
He [Iblis] said, “O my Lord! For the reason that You have banished me from the way, I will surely make life in the earth seemly goodly to them and I will surely cause all of them altogether to lose the way
The devil replied, O Lord, because thou hast seduced me, I will surely tempt them to disobedience in the earth; and I will seduce them all
He said, "O my Lord! Because you have put me in the wrong I will surely make wrong seemly for them on earth, and I will put them all in the wrong
(satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all
He said, "O my Lord! because thou hast beguiled me, I will surely make all fair seeming to them on the earth; I will surely beguile them all
(Iblis) said: “My Lord! Because you allowed me to be misled I will surely make appear dazzling to them (every evil) in the earth, and I will indeed mislead them all together
Iblis said: My Lord! Because Thou hadst led me into error I will, certainly, make the earth appear pleasing to them and I will lead them one and all into error,
(Iblis) said, “O my Lord, because You have put me in the wrong, I will make (the wrong) seem good to those on Earth, and I will mislead them.
Iblees said: "Lord! Since You let me go astray, I will make evil fair-seeming to them on earth and I will seduce them al
Iblis said: "My Lord! In the manner You led me to error, I will make things on earth seem attractive to them and lead all of them to error
He said: My Lord, as Thou has judged me erring, I shall certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on earth, and I shall cause them all to deviate
He said, “My Fosterer ! because You have removed me from the way, I will definitely make (evil) fair seeming to them in the earth and I will definitely remove all of them from the way (leading to paradise),
He said, "My Lord! As You have made me deviate from the right way, I will certainly keep them enthralled in the earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviate"
Iblis said: ‘O Lord, because You have led me astray, I will (also) best adorn and embellish for them (the sins, revolts and violations) in the earth and will certainly lead all of them astray by all means
He said: "My Lord, for that which I have been misled by, I will make the Earth appear beautiful for them, and I will mislead them all."
He said: "My Lord, for that by which You have caused me to be misled, I will beautify for them what is on the earth, and I will mislead them all."
He said: "My Lord, for that by which You have caused me to be misled, I will beautify for them what is on the earth, and I will mislead them all."
He said: "My Lord with what You misguided/enticed me , I will decorate/beautify for them in the earth/Planet Earth, and I will misguide/entice them (E) all/all together."
[Whereupon Iblis] said: "O my Sustainer! Since Thou hast thwarted me, I shall indeed make [all that is evil] on earth seem goodly to them, and shall most certainly beguile them-into grievous error
Said he, "Lord! For (the fact) that You misguided me, indeed I will definitely adorn for them (i.e., make "evil" attractive to them) in the earth; and indeed I will definitely misguide them all together
He said: My Lord! Because Thou hast sent me astray, I verily shall adorn the path of error for them in the earth, and shall mislead them every one
Iblis said, "Lord, because you have caused me to go astray, I shall make earthly things attractive to (people) and mislead all of the
He said, .My Lord, since You made me go astray, I swear that I shall beautify for them (evils) on the earth, and shall lead all of them astray
Iblīs said: “My Lord, as You mislead me, I will definitely adorn (the path of evil ) from them ; and I will definitely mislead them all.
(Iblees) said, "My Lord, since You led me astray, I will definitely embellish the allure of this world for them. I will fascinate and entice them all away!"
Iblīs said: ‘My Lord, as You have allowed me to be tempted, I shall indeed adorn (the path of error) for them, and tempt everyone of them
"Now, O Allah", Iblis said, that You have destined me and I have erred, I will entangle them with the bird-lime of fleshy passions, mundane vanity and temporalities and I will entice them all to do evil and I will incite idle men to tempt me to tempt them
Satan said, “My Lord, since You have left me to go astray, I will make life on Earth attractive to them and lead them astray,
Satan responded, “My Lord! For allowing me to stray I will surely tempt them on earth and mislead them all together,
He said: my Lord, because You allowed me to stray I shall make it appealing for them on earth and lead them all astray.
Lord,‘ said Satan, ‘since You have thus tempted me, I will seduce those on earth
He said, "My Lord, since You have willed that I go astray, I will surely entice them on earth; I will send them all astray.
[Whereupon Iblis] said, "Oh, my Lord! Since You led me on to this, I will make [all that is evil] on earth appear good to people, and will most certainly entice them into sin,
[after which Iblīs] said, "Oh, my Lord! Since You led me on to this, I will make [all that is evil] on Earth appear good to people, and will most certainly entice them into sin,
He said, “My Lord, with what You have lured me, I will prettify for them on the earth, and I will lure them altogether.”
('Iblis) said: 'O' Lord! because You have left me to stray, certainly I will adorn (evil) to them on the earth, and certainly I will cause them all to go astray'.
[Iblīs] said: 'My Lord, since You have let me fall in error, I shall make [evil] seem fair to them on earth, and I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error,
Now Iblis said, "O My Lord! Since You let me go astray, I verily shall make attractive the path of error for them in the earth. And I shall mislead them everyone."
He said: My Lord! because Thou hast made life evil to me, I will certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviat
He answered, `My Lord, since Thou hast adjudged me as gone astray, I will surely make straying from the right path appear beautiful to them on the earth and I will surely lead them all astray
He said, “My Lord! Since Thou hast caused me to err, I shall surely make things seem fair unto them on earth, and I shall cause them to err all together
(Satan) said: ""O Lord! Because You have put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) seem fair to them (the humans) on the Earth, and I will put them all in the wrong—
“Lord,” he declared, “since you have lured me away, I will glamorize for them on earth, and I will lure them all away.”
He said, 'My Lord, since You have lured me away, I will glamorize for them on earth, and I will lure them all away.'
[Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them al
He said, 'My Lord! Because you have caused me to err, surely I will definitely beautify for them in the earth, and I will surely, definitely cause them to err all together;
(Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,
