مَاۤ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ یُمَتَّعُونَ ٢٠٧
mā aghnā ʿanhum mā kānū yumattaʿūn
what good would their past enjoyment be to them
all that which their past enjoyment be to them?
What shall that which they enjoyed avail them
Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them
Neither their possessions nor the pleasures they enjoyed will give them any benefit!
that what they enjoyed will be of any use to them?
of what avail to them will be that which they were given to enjoy
It will be of no avail to them at all (that their lives of enjoyment were prolonged)
That (respite) which they were allowed to enjoy will be of no avail to them
what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given
what they were made to enjoy will not be of any use to them?
Their material possessions did not help them the least
It will not profit them, that they enjoyed this life
of what avail to them will their past enjoyments be?
that will not avail them which they had to enjoy
So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using
All that they were made to enjoy did not avail them.
what will that which they have enjoyed profit them
That which they had to enjoy will avail them not
what avail will their past enjoyments be to them
Of what avail will their enjoyments be to them
whatever they were being provided as provisions did not benefit them (at all)
they would not be availed by what they had been given of enjoyment?
…it will not profit them that they got to indulge.
of what avail will their past enjoyments be to them
of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy
That which they were made to enjoy will not avail them
. (at that time), that which they were made to enjoy will not be of any use to them.
Of what avail to them will all their past enjoyments be
Then what will those resources which they were utilizing do (to drive that torment away from them)
All they luxury they were given will not avail them
All the luxury they were given will not avail them
All the luxury they were given will not avail them.
What they were being made to enjoy did not enrich/suffice (benefit) from them
of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments
In no way will avail them whatever they had been given to enjoy
(How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them
none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment
what help can they receive from the comforts they were given to enjoy
All that which they used to enjoy will not benefit them.
Would the years they spend in enjoyment be of any use to them
All that which they used to enjoy won’t benefit them?
There and then never shall their possessions and the use af all that afforded them pleasure and advantages avail them or defend them against Allah's decreed punishment
would what they had enjoyed benefit them?
would that enjoyment be of any benefit to them ˹at all˺?
The provision they were given will not benefit them?
of what avail will their past enjoyments be to them
Their vast resources did not help them in the least.
what good would the years of enjoyment be to them?
what good would the years of enjoyment be to them?
It did not avail them what they were enjoying?
That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them
of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyment?
Then, of what avail will be their past enjoyments
That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them
Of what avail will be to them that which they were allowed to enjoy
of what avail to them will be that which they were made to enjoy
It will not help them that they enjoyed (this life)
All their enjoyed comforts won’t avail them.
Of what avail to them will be their past enjoyments?
They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided
That will not avail them which they had to enjoy.
It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)
It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)
