غَلَبت فارسُ الرومَ في أدنى أرض "الشام" إلى "فارس"، وسوف يَغْلِب الرومُ الفرسَ في مدة من الزمن، لا تزيد على عشر سنوات ولا تنقص عن ثلاث. لله سبحانه وتعالى الأمر كله قبل انتصار الروم وبعده، ويوم ينتصر الروم على الفرس يفرح المؤمنون بنصر الله للروم على الفرس. والله سبحانه وتعالى ينصر من يشاء، ويخذل من يشاء، وهو العزيز الذي لا يغالَب، الرحيم بمن شاء من خلقه. وقد تحقق ذلك فغَلَبَت الرومُ الفرسَ بعد سبع سنين، وفرح المسلمون بذلك؛ لكون الروم أهل كتاب وإن حرَّفوه.

فِی بِضۡعِ سِنِینَۗ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ مِن قَبۡلُ وَمِنۢ بَعۡدُۚ وَیَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ یَفۡرَحُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٤

وعد الله المؤمنين وعدًا جازمًا لا يتخلف، بنصر الروم النصارى على الفرس الوثنيين، ولكن أكثر كفار "مكة" لا يعلمون أن ما وعد الله به حق، وإنما يعلمون ظواهر الدنيا وزخرفها، وهم عن أمور الآخرة وما ينفعهم فيها غافلون، لا يفكرون فيها.

یَعۡلَمُونَ ظَـٰهِرࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ هُمۡ غَـٰفِلُونَ ۝٧

وعد الله المؤمنين وعدًا جازمًا لا يتخلف، بنصر الروم النصارى على الفرس الوثنيين، ولكن أكثر كفار "مكة" لا يعلمون أن ما وعد الله به حق، وإنما يعلمون ظواهر الدنيا وزخرفها، وهم عن أمور الآخرة وما ينفعهم فيها غافلون، لا يفكرون فيها.

30:8 ›
أَوَ لَمۡ یَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ فِیۤ أَنفُسِهِمۗ مَّا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَاۤ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَأَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّىۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِیرࣰا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِلِقَاۤىِٕ رَبِّهِمۡ لَكَـٰفِرُونَ ۝٨

Have they not thought about their own selves? God did not create the heavens and earth and everything between them without a serious purpose and an appointed time, yet many people deny that they will meet their Lord

أولم يتفكر هؤلاء المكذِّبون برسل الله ولقائه في خلق الله إياهم، وأنه خلقهم، ولم يكونوا شيئًا. ما خلق الله السموات والأرض وما بينهما إلا لإقامة العدل والثواب والعقاب، والدلالة على توحيده وقدرته، وأجل مسمى تنتهي إليه وهو يوم القيامة؟ وإن كثيرًا من الناس بلقاء ربهم لجاحدون منكرون؛ جهلا منهم بأن معادهم إلى الله بعد فنائهم، وغفلةً منهم عن الآخرة.

30:9 ›
أَوَ لَمۡ یَسِیرُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَیَنظُرُوا۟ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ كَانُوۤا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قُوَّةࣰ وَأَثَارُوا۟ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَعَمَرُوهَاۤ أَكۡثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِۖ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِیَظۡلِمَهُمۡ وَلَـٰكِن كَانُوۤا۟ أَنفُسَهُمۡ یَظۡلِمُونَ ۝٩
Abdel Haleem
Have they not travelled through the land and seen how their predecessors met their end? They were mightier than them: they cultivated the earth more and built more upon it. Their own mes-sengers also came to them with clear signs: God did not wrong them; they wronged themselves

أولم يَسِرْ هؤلاء المكذبون بالله الغافلون عن الآخرة في الأرض سَيْرَ تأمل واعتبار، فيشاهدوا كيف كان جزاء الأمم الذين كذَّبوا برسل الله كعاد وثمود؟ وقد كانوا أقوى منهم أجسامًا، وأقدر على التمتع بالحياة حيث حرثوا الأرض وزرعوها، وبنَوْا القصور وسكنوها، فعَمَروا دنياهم أكثر مما عَمَر أهل "مكة" دنياهم، فلم تنفعهم عِمارتهم ولا طول مدتهم، وجاءتهم رسلهم بالحجج الظاهرة والبراهين الساطعة، فكذَّبوهم فأهلكهم الله، ولم يظلمهم الله بذلك الإهلاك، وإنما ظلموا أنفسهم بالشرك والعصيان.

30:10 ›
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَسَـٰۤءُوا۟ ٱلسُّوۤأَىٰۤ أَن كَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ بِهَا یَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ ۝١٠

Later the evildoers met a terrible end for rejecting and [repeatedly] mocking God’s revelations

ثم كانت عاقبة أهل السوء من الطغاة والكفرة أسوأ العواقب وأقبحها؛ لتكذيبهم بالله وسخريتهم بآياته التي أنزلها على رسله.

وَلَمۡ یَكُن لَّهُم مِّن شُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمۡ شُفَعَـٰۤؤُا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ بِشُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمۡ كَـٰفِرِینَ ۝١٣

and they will have no intercessors among those partners they ascribed to God- they will deny these partners

ولم يكن للمشركين في ذلك اليوم من آلهتهم التي كانوا يعبدونها من دون الله شفعاء، بل إنها تتبرأ منهم، ويتبرؤون منها. فالشفاعة لله وحده، ولا تُطلَب من غيره.

وَیَوۡمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ یَتَفَرَّقُونَ ۝١٤

فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَهُمۡ فِی رَوۡضَةࣲ یُحۡبَرُونَ ۝١٥

وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا وَلِقَاۤىِٕ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ فِی ٱلۡعَذَابِ مُحۡضَرُونَ ۝١٦

while those who disbelieved and denied Our messages and the meeting of the Hereafter will be brought for punishment

وأما الذين كفروا بالله وكذَّبوا بما جاءت به الرسل وأنكروا البعث بعد الموت، فأولئك في العذاب مقيمون؛ جزاء ما كذَّبوا به في الدنيا.

فَسُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ حِینَ تُمۡسُونَ وَحِینَ تُصۡبِحُونَ ۝١٧

So celebrate God’s glory in the evening, in the morning

فيا أيها المؤمنون سبِّحوا الله ونزِّهوه عن الشريك والصاحبة والولد، وَصِفوه بصفات الكمال بألسنتكم، وحقِّقوا ذلك بجوارحكم كلها حين تمسون، وحين تصبحون، ووقت العشي، ووقت الظهيرة. وله -سبحانه- الحمد والثناء في السموات والأرض وفي الليل والنهار.

وَلَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَعَشِیࣰّا وَحِینَ تُظۡهِرُونَ ۝١٨

praise is due to Him in the heavens and the earth- in the late afternoon, and at midday

فيا أيها المؤمنون سبِّحوا الله ونزِّهوه عن الشريك والصاحبة والولد، وَصِفوه بصفات الكمال بألسنتكم، وحقِّقوا ذلك بجوارحكم كلها حين تمسون، وحين تصبحون، ووقت العشي، ووقت الظهيرة. وله -سبحانه- الحمد والثناء في السموات والأرض وفي الليل والنهار.

یُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡحَیَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَیِّتِ وَیُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَیِّتَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَیِّ وَیُحۡیِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۚ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ تُخۡرَجُونَ ۝١٩
Abdel Haleem
He brings the living out of the dead and the dead out of the living. He gives life to the earth after death, and you will be brought out in the same way

يخرج الله الحي من الميت كالإنسان من النطفة والطير من البيضة، ويخرج الميت من الحي، كالنطفة من الإنسان والبيضة من الطير. ويحيي الأرض بالنبات بعد يُبْسها وجفافها، ومثل هذا الإحياء تخرجون -أيها الناس- من قبوركم أحياء للحساب والجزاء.

وَمِنۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦۤ أَنۡ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابࣲ ثُمَّ إِذَاۤ أَنتُم بَشَرࣱ تَنتَشِرُونَ ۝٢٠

ومن آيات الله الدالة على عظمته وكمال قدرته أن خلق أباكم آدم من تراب، ثم أنتم بشر تتناسلون منتشرين في الأرض، تبتغون من فضل الله.

He gives you this example, drawn from your own lives: do you make your slaves full partners with an equal share in what We have given you? Do you fear them as you fear each other? This is how We make Our messages clear to those who use their reason

ضرب الله مثلا لكم -أيها المشركون -من أنفسكم: هل لكم من عبيدكم وإمائكم مَن يشارككم في رزقكم، وترون أنكم وإياهم متساوون فيه، تخافونهم كما تخافون الأحرار الشركاء في مقاسمة أموالكم؟ إنكم لن ترضوا بذلك، فكيف ترضون بذلك في جنب الله بأن تجعلوا له شريكًا من خلقه؟ وبمثل هذا البيان نبيِّن البراهين والحجج لأصحاب العقول السليمة الذين ينتفعون بها.

بَلِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوۤا۟ أَهۡوَاۤءَهُم بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲۖ فَمَن یَهۡدِی مَنۡ أَضَلَّ ٱللَّهُۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّـٰصِرِینَ ۝٢٩

And still the idolaters follow their own desires without any knowledge. Who can guide those God leaves to stray, who have no one to help them

فَأَقِمۡ وَجۡهَكَ لِلدِّینِ حَنِیفࣰاۚ فِطۡرَتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِی فَطَرَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَیۡهَاۚ لَا تَبۡدِیلَ لِخَلۡقِ ٱللَّهِۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلدِّینُ ٱلۡقَیِّمُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٣٠

So [Prophet] as a man of pure faith, stand firm and true in your devotion to the religion. This is the natural disposition God instilled in mankind- there is no altering God’s creation- and this is the right religion, though most people do not realize it

So give their due to the near relative, the needy, and the wayfarer- that is best for those whose goal is God’s approval: these are the ones who will prosper

فأعط -أيها المؤمن- قريبك حقه من الصلة والصدقة وسائر أعمال البر، وأعط الفقير والمحتاج الذي انقطع به السبيل من الزكاة والصدقة، ذلك الإعطاء خير للذين يريدون بعملهم وجه الله، والذين يعملون هذه الأعمال وغيرها من أعمال الخير، أولئك هم الفائزون بثواب الله الناجون مِن عقابه.

وَمَاۤ ءَاتَیۡتُم مِّن رِّبࣰا لِّیَرۡبُوَا۟ فِیۤ أَمۡوَ ٰلِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَلَا یَرۡبُوا۟ عِندَ ٱللَّهِۖ وَمَاۤ ءَاتَیۡتُم مِّن زَكَوٰةࣲ تُرِیدُونَ وَجۡهَ ٱللَّهِ فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُضۡعِفُونَ ۝٣٩
Abdel Haleem
Whatever you lend out in usury to gain value through other people’s wealth will not increase in God’s eyes, but whatever you give in charity, in your desire for God’s approval, will earn multiple rewards

وما أعطيتم قرضًا من المال بقصد الربا، وطلب زيادة ذلك القرض؛ ليزيد وينمو في أموال الناس، فلا يزيد عند الله، بل يمحقه ويبطله. وما أعطيتم من زكاة وصدقة للمستحقين ابتغاء مرضاة الله وطلبًا لثوابه، فهذا هو الذي يقبله الله ويضاعفه لكم أضعافًا كثيرة.

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَكُمۡ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمۡ ثُمَّ یُمِیتُكُمۡ ثُمَّ یُحۡیِیكُمۡۖ هَلۡ مِن شُرَكَاۤىِٕكُم مَّن یَفۡعَلُ مِن ذَ ٰلِكُم مِّن شَیۡءࣲۚ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ عَمَّا یُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٤٠

It is God who created you and provided for you, who will cause you to die and then give you life again. Which of your ‘partners’ can do any one of these things? Glory be to God, and exalted be He above the partners they attribute to Him

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِی یُرۡسِلُ ٱلرِّیَـٰحَ فَتُثِیرُ سَحَابࣰا فَیَبۡسُطُهُۥ فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ كَیۡفَ یَشَاۤءُ وَیَجۡعَلُهُۥ كِسَفࣰا فَتَرَى ٱلۡوَدۡقَ یَخۡرُجُ مِنۡ خِلَـٰلِهِۦۖ فَإِذَاۤ أَصَابَ بِهِۦ مَن یَشَاۤءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦۤ إِذَا هُمۡ یَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ ۝٤٨

It is God who sends out the winds; they stir up the clouds; He spreads them over the skies as He pleases; He makes them break up and you see the rain falling from them. See how they rejoice when He makes it fall upon whichever of His servants He wishes

فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَلَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَاۤءَ إِذَا وَلَّوۡا۟ مُدۡبِرِینَ ۝٥٢

وَمَاۤ أَنتَ بِهَـٰدِ ٱلۡعُمۡیِ عَن ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمۡۖ إِن تُسۡمِعُ إِلَّا مَن یُؤۡمِنُ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ ۝٥٣

۞ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعۡفࣲ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ضَعۡفࣲ قُوَّةࣰ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ قُوَّةࣲ ضَعۡفࣰا وَشَیۡبَةࣰۚ یَخۡلُقُ مَا یَشَاۤءُۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ٱلۡقَدِیرُ ۝٥٤

It is God who creates you weak, then gives you strength, then weakness after strength, together with your grey hair: He creates what He will; He is the All Knowing, the All Powerful

وَیَوۡمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ یُقۡسِمُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَیۡرَ سَاعَةࣲۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ یُؤۡفَكُونَ ۝٥٥

On the Day the Hour comes, the guilty will swear they lingered no more than an hour- they have always been deluded

but those endowed with knowledge and faith will say, ‘In accordance with God’s decree, you actually lingered till the Day of Resurrection: this is the Day of Resurrection, yet you did not know.’

وقال الذين أوتوا العلم والإيمان بالله من الملائكة والأنبياء والمؤمنين: لقد مكثتم فيما كتب الله مما سبق في علمه من يوم خُلقتم إلى أن بُعثتم، فهذا يوم البعث، ولكنكم كنتم لا تعلمون، فأنكرتموه في الدنيا، وكذَّبتم به.
