Lo! your effort) your work (is dispersed (towards diverse ends)) there are those who oppose and disbelieve in Muhammad (pbuh) and the Qur'an and there are those who believe in Muhammad (pbuh); there are those who strive for Paradise and there are those who strive for hell. And from his narration on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas that he said regarding the interpretation of Allah's saying: (By the night enshrouding): '(By the night enshrouding) He says: Allah swears by the night when it enshrouds the light of day.
